À éviter! Nous avons attendu 20-25mn pour que quelqu’un nous prenne la commande. Et sans blaguer, au bout d’une heure, la commande n’était toujours pas arrivée. Aucun serveur ne s’est inquiété. Tous les clients arrivés 40mn après nous ont eu leurs plats… Bref, l’accueil est glacial et le service n’est pas professionnel du tout! Au moment où j’écris cet avis, nous ne sommes toujours pas servis. Mon mari a dû se lever pour aller voir le responsable. On est obligés d’attendre car il n’y a rien autour de l’hôtel, mais on a bien envie de partir!!! Je n’ai jamais connu ça! C’est honteux

I had lunch here with my parents this week and enjoyed it. It was my first visit and I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and sizeable menu. My Dad said the nachos were the best he had ever had. The soft drinks I had could have been colder as they were at room temperature when they were served. The ice melted fairly quickly. The prices are a bit on the expensive side too. Overall a positive experience and I'd return.

This is not a review of the hotel. This is a review of the hotel restaurant, which is open to non-residents. We purchased a Groupon for a selection of four local craft beers and meaty treats at the restaurant and enjoyed it so much in the summer that we purchased the same Groupon again. Unfortunately, the second visit was a big disappointment. Two of the Pilot beers were substituted with cheap Innes and Gunn beers, which are certainly not craft beers. One of the Pilot beers was three months out of date and the other one was just about out of date. The food was so far removed from the "meaty treats" that we had enjoyed previously that it was almost laughable. Basically, six small sandwiches - two of which had stale bread, a couple of tiny pakoras, two tiny bits of chicken and two chicken wings for two of us. How this pitiful offering was valued at £47 is beyond me! I tried complaining to the person who appeared to be in charge of the restaurant, but he seemed utterly disinterested and just shrugged his shoulders. It is sad that I know how good this restaurant was and how bad it has become.

I'm sorry but the portion size for the price/quality just not good enough. Had Chicken Tikka Masala and left feeling hungry, six forkfuls plate clear. Also no indication of which items are self service and which are brought to you.

Tipico pub donde tomar algo y consumir comida rapida con una pinta. La parte buena es que esta en la propia estacion de Waverly, muy centrico y perfecto para ganar fuerzas y seguir recorriendo la ciudad. No creo que tenga musica en directo ninguna noche.

It was so bad the staff were unprofessional and the prices were ludicrous. Why does it think it's so posh??? 6 pounds 50 for a soggy sandwich... very dissapointing!

This place really is the pitts. Had fish n chips which was awful. The fish was soggy and inedible. Drinks had lipstick marks on glasses rook themback. Barrly an apology andlocals loud and aggressive staff don't care less. Still waiting on a decent Gorgie establishment!
