Honestly the best place in Penzance if you want food or drinks imo. I had the soup (clearly homemade) which was fab. Wifey had a cheese scone which she said was the best she'd ever had. The kids loved it. I'd been here few months ago and had a hot chocolate and it was also really good. Will definitely be returning. Amazing :)

We had the wonderful salad bowl - delicious, healthy and with so many different individual items and special dressings. And then we had the cakes and coffee - excellent again. We will definitely go again.

this is a small, cute cafe off the hustle of the promenade. we were visiting Penzance from London for a short trip and decided to pop in for lunch! the staff were so friendly. food was amazing!!! my friends had the avo toast while I had the lunch special bacon sandwich for the day. They also serve coffees, cakes and ice cream! toilets were clean, we'll equipped and even had menstrual products for users. the cafe is lined with beautiful art work, some of them even for sale! there is limited outdoor seating if the sun is out. ALL IN ALL, LOVED THE PLACE

So far, I had the Butternut squash and bean soup, blueberry vegan cream cake and the bowl of salad in the cafe and I will have to say that food is excellent value for money, servings are generous and food is good. Love the friendliness and welcoming nature of the owner and her staff. Well done Maddy for providing a lovely space on a quiet street yet so close to the beach. All in all, a delightful space and good food!

I have visited The Art Cafe a couple of times now, and it is my new favourite spot. Such a lovely, calming atmosphere. Absolutely wonderful service and friendly staff. I really loved that there were great gluten free options available, and I thought the food was not overpriced. The best coffee around👌🏻

Best cafe in central Penzance.. quality &price! I come here often, every time welcomed by genuine, friendly, hardworking owner. Many gluten-free and dairy-free offerings only 1 other spot in town offers dairy free alternative that is not soy/oat for coffees and its a lot more expensive! super location steps from the sea and Morrab Gardens

You’re always guaranteed a warm welcome by Madeleine and her lovely staff at The Art Cafe. Choose from the delicious salad bar, mega sandwiches, fresh homemade soup, a mouthwatering display of home baked cakes and fabulous drinks menu, all made with care and attention. Plenty of options for vegans and those with gluten and dairy intolerances. It is a true gem, just off the seafront in the wonderful town of Penzance and definitely worth seeking out. Whether you’re a visitor or a local it will soon become your favourite!!

Fabulous food & delicious coffee all served with lots of love, care and attention which just shines through from the moment you step into The Art Cafe. Cakes and bakes are all homemade daily and the salad bowls are a wonderful addition to the menu. Nutritious and warming soups are like a hug in a bowl! The owner has very carefully designed a relaxing & welcoming space which clearly meets the needs of its customers, local community and beyond. Definitely worth a trip to Penzance to seek this little treasure out!

Wasn’t entirely sure what to expect as I’ve been to plenty of dire sandwich shops but this place is brilliant. The sandwich came with a fresh side salad and potatoes. It was all clearly made by people that care about what they do. I’m delighted to have found such a well run cafe. The banana bread was epic 👍🏻

Found this gem of a cafe last Saturday and couldn’t wait to return for a 2nd visit today. Last week just coffee and cake (best coffee and walnut cake I’ve ever had) and this week coffee again and I had the pulled pork, apple sauce and coleslaw sandwich and my partner had cheese, coleslaw and beetroot- absolutely delicious. Lovely friendly cheerful staff and lovely atmosphere. Do not miss a chance to visit this cafe in Morrab Road just a short walk from the prom. Already looking forward to our next visit.

If you're in search of a cafe that truly embodies the spirit of a local business, this owner-operated gem is a must-visit. The owner's dedication shines through in every aspect of the cafe. She's not only the heart and soul behind the delicious homemade food and cakes, but also the friendly face that greets and serves customers, all while maintaining a wonderfully inviting space. As someone who spent a morning here working, I can attest to the cafe's warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it a place you'd happily linger in for hours. The breakfast bap is both hearty and tasty, perfectly complementing the exceptional homemade cakes. For coffee enthusiasts, like myself, who might have specific preferences, (I'm awkward and like good coffee) the owner excels in delivering top-notch service, crafting each cup with skill and understanding. Adding to the charm is the owner's collie dog, contributing to the cafe's friendly vibe. This cafe is not just about great food and coffee; it's a shining example of a local business deserving of support. So, for anyone looking for quality in both food and experience, while supporting a passionate local business owner, this cafe is an excellent choice.

I’ve been looking forward to this cafe to open after it closed a while back. New name and great welcoming team make this a great start to what will be I’m sure a very successful future. Just a bacon and egg bap and a cuppa this time but they are going to have a full Cornish breakfast on the menu soon including hogs pudding. The menu will suit all and the cakes look amazing. Popped in for a cuppa and a bit of breakfast yesterday, it was fantastic! The food was first class, I didn't try the cake but believe me, if I could have fitted some in I would, it looked delicious. It's not been open long as The Art Cafe but Maddie looks like she's been running it for ages. If you're in Pz., go, if you're not in Pz. then still go. Small, one off businesses as good as this need our support, even if you only have a cup of tea and a stroll along the prom.

This is a newly opened cafe at the bottom of Morrab road. We popped in this morning for some breakfast. Food was excellent, decent variety and good quality. More than adequate portion sizes which made it very good value for money. We had bacon and fried egg ciabattas, and sausage ciabattas and poached egg on toast. Pleased with our choices but another table had ordered the smoothie bowl and I admit to a pang of jealousy as it went past! It looked incredible. Good range of drinks available, beautifully presented. Service was friendly and welcoming especially to my little one. Definitely a place to go back to, I think.

I called in for a pint or two, July 2018. Only one real ale available, the cardboard label said it was Doombar. Firstly it smelled rank, secondly, you couldn't see through it, thirdly, it tasted awful. There was no point giving it back as they obviously don't know how to keep real ale and there was no other option anyway. Looking around, I certainly wouldn't eat there.

Atmosphere is great but games haven't kept pace and now pretty run down. Shame as main reason to use venue. Shuffle board now not electronic, pool tables are beyond awful, stick to the darts.
