La comida y la ubicación es muy buena en Ark, pero pocos detalles podrían haber hecho la experiencia mejor. Recomendaría encarecidamente la comida, pero los precios del vino no estaban claros en el menú dado y personalmente creo que un consejo debe ser a discreción de las personas y no añadido.

¡Una de las mejores comidas que he tenido! Bonita samosa y pollo biryani presentados. Fui con mis hijos para el Día del Padre. Sin duda volveremos!

Visitado debido a las extensas opciones de verduras como mi esposa es vegetariana, 1 hora de la calle no será la última. Incluso a las 4 p. m., el restaurante era vibrante con parejas y familias comiendo buen suspiro Chefs pollo al curry especial Excepcional, no madras picante pero lo suficientemente picante como para dejar un sabor vibrante en su paleta Panel de mantequilla masala de nuevo cocinado con una artesanía el chef solo sabe nada de greese de mantequilla nada 2 x luz esponjosa de arroz Queso nann cocinado cómo se debe cocinar El personal me recibió por jefe de casa, mostrado a la mesa entonces para toda la comida servida por Arun, que es un crédito para el establecimiento toda la experiencia desde entrar hasta salir fue agradable no por conseguir este es el centro de brum así que espere pagar un poco más, pero Dios mío la comida compensa el precio no caro, pero probablemente justo

Elegimos el Arca por su conveniente ubicación al Teatro Alexandra y la crítica fantástica está en Tripadvisor. Lamentablemente nuestra experiencia fue muy decepcionante. Nuestros popadoms eran frescos, pero los baños proporcionados eran muy pequeños. Nuestras comidas llegaron en un tazón, mi preferencia personal es no mezclar mi arroz en mi curry, pero esto era difícil de hacer cuando me enfrentaba a un tazón. El pollo Tikka Masala llegó con una gruesa capa de grasa en la parte superior, planteamos nuestra preocupación con el camarero que insistió en que esto era normal y argumentó el caso para no volver a tomar la comida. Persistimos y el camarero aceptó reemplazar. Cuando llegó la comida de reemplazo, nuevamente tenía una capa de grasa en la parte superior, el camarero discutió nuevamente que esto era normal y abandonó la mesa. Mi acompañante intentó probar la comida y no solo era grasienta, también sabía más a Jalfrezi. Volvimos a acercarnos al camarero y su respuesta fue preguntarle si queríamos quitárnosla. Pedimos la factura, solo para luego descubrir que nos habían cobrado dos veces por la comida que no podíamos comer! Tuvimos que esperar 10 minutos más para que volviera para que alterara la factura, luego tuvimos que pedirle que eliminara el cargo por servicio, que absolutamente no estaríamos pagando. En ningún momento nos ofrecieron otras bebidas, tuvimos que compartir un plato de comida y tuvimos que pagar por nuestra comida no comestible, casi dos veces más. El servicio era deficiente y la calidad de la comida era mala. No recomendaría ni volvería bajo ninguna circunstancia.

Big lack of misunderstanding amongst the bouncers..one of them abused us.. one of them told us to come in.. pathetic experience ever..insulted and pushed us..would never recommend this place

We booked a Table for 40 people. The menu, service and staff were perfect. Even when only 33 of us turned up, there was no issue. My colleagues and I were extremely well taken care of. Now the food; excellent. The pickle with the papadoms were not standard, delicious and different. The starters arrived plated and accommodated veg, meat and other dietary requirements. The mains, all you can eat: chicken, lamb, dal, paneer, and veg curry. Plus rice naan and salad. Everything was tasty and well presented. Perfect

Me and my wife dined here for our wedding anniversary! It was great from when we walked in to the manager greeting us and congratulating us on our celebration! Making our day special! Then being seated at our table for our drinks and meal! (That was lovely) Definitely the best restaurant in Birmingham! We will be back! Had an amazing time at this restaurant, the food was simply delicious and we were served by Arun which did a great job advising us the best dishes and drinks they had. His service, knowledge and kindness made our night. Thank you once again, look forward to come back.

We found this place by using Trip Advisor, so when we got to the door, we were a bit unsure as it is up some stairs that seem to lead to a nightclub but when we got to the top of the stairs we found ourselves in a lovely restaurant which had a relaxed and comfortable vibe. The staff were attentive but not in your face. The food was fabulous, and each course was brought out really quickly, without making us feel rushed to leave. I would highly recommend The Ark.

Been here before and massively impressed have to say the meal last was again simply wonderful. Service also excellent. Everything top quality and the best Indian food I've ever had from any Indian restaurant. Ordered special mixed madras, tarka daal, mixed kebab, roti (plus some more meals to take away for the family) and ate what i could and took rest home Will def go back whenever I visit Birmingham. This was an impromptu gift from our daughter for her dads 72nd birthday. Boy was it a fantastic surprise. The food was absolutely delicious and the décor is classy. We were served by wonderful staff and especially ARUN who was very knowledgeable about the food. I was treated to a very spectacular theatrical starter of Prawns with what I presume was dry ice ...amazing and so tasty. Husband was given a special pint of beer for his birthday and the end of meal chocolates were lovely. Next time we are in Birmingham we will make an effort and go again. We have nothing like this in rural Wales so it was a gem.

Visited the Ark after being recommended by a friend. We both had a chicken tikka starter which was the best I’ve ever tasted.. For mains we opted for the butter chicken curry and the mango korma, both dishes again were outstanding, the rice and Nan breads were all perfect too. Can’t wait to visit again

Birmingham har ett stort utbud av indiska restauranger. Vi hade turen att välja Ark och det ångrar vi inte. Trevlig miljö men maten är helt fantastisk. Har ätit indisk mat på många resrauranger i världen men utan överdrift är denna restaurang bland de bästa om inte den bästa. Att sedan servicen var utmärkt och utbudet av vin inte gjorde oss ledsna gjorde saken inte sämre. Helt klart en restaurang att besöka om man vill äta god, genuin indisk mat.

First time here and will definitely be back. The staff were really friendly, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food is as good as it looks!

A jem of a restaurant. Fantastic interesting food which actually 'tastes' nice (not your typical run of the mill Indian). A lovely modern comfy venue with great friendly staff. Arun was particularly helpful in recommending dishes for us to try. If you're in central Birmingham, it's definitely somewhere to eat. I would have taken pics, but I ate it too quickly 😁

Came here for a quick bite to eat before a concert and received the warmest of welcomes from front-of-house staff, who were smart, stylish and helpful. Food arrived in a dramatic cloud of dry ice but, importantly, it tasted great with a nicely judged balance of spices and flavours. Would like to eat here again.

Four of us visited the Ark for the first time last night before a show at the Alex. Ok - so its a little unusual as you walk in to a stairway but its nicely decorated. We were the first to be seated in a nice booth & drinks order was taken. Mocktails & cocktails were overflowing with ice - this does baffle me when restaurants do this. They're not cheap, its a con! The menu is small & we had soon ordered our food - 2 chicken biryani's, a prawn dish, butter chicken along with various rice & breads. Now I've eaten chicken biryani thousands of times & it is never as spicy as here! My friends prawn dish was also too spicy. My roti was smothered in butter. Two of us opted for dessert however one dessert came out 10 minutes before the other...we did have to ask where it was! My friend had to remind them regards a jug of water. There was an old dirty napkin under our table. The food is ok, the service needs improvement. The toilets were not clean. We asked for the 12.5% service charge to be removed due to this. I would not tip my hairdresser £16!! I fail to understand why some restaurants adopt the whole American tipping, its plain rude. Customers should tip what & if they like. They did not acknowledge us as we left. We would not visit again.

We ate at this gem of a restaurant for the first time after a trip to the theatre. Certainly will be visiting again the food was superb and the staff were very welcoming. Arun served us and his knowledge of the menu was exceptional as well as his friendly manner. We booked last minute and Jason handled the call and sorted out our booking with minimal fuss In summary a faultless experience from start to finish. If you like a good curry you’ll enjoy eating here. The only other place we’ve had Indian food of this calibre is at veeraswamy in Regent Street London.

Have to say it's up there with one of the best Indians we have had. Food was excellent, service amazing and the place was so modern and fresh. We got the deal off Wowcher and like all these deals you have your reservations. But we was blown away. The mixed platter starter tasted amazing but the theatre behind made that extra special. The main courses were all outstanding. The waiter was great and couldn't do enough for us. Top man but forgot his name. When we visit Birmingham again we will for sure be coming here again

We have been here twice now and can honestly say the food is fantastic! We had the standard sharing platter for starters. Every mouthful was a delight. Moist tender perfectly spiced chicken and lamb. A bit of theatrics with the dry ice but it just added to the experience. We had Dehli butter chicken, chicken sagwala, a side of bombay aloo, pilau rice, parantha and butter naan. Everything was deliciously flavoured, piping hot and good portions. Arun was so attentive, very knowledgeable about north indian cuisine. A perfect evening, with perfect food and great hosts. Totally recommend you visit!!

I organized dinner for my pals on Christmas eve and it was a gathering of 18 people. Arun worked with me to customize the set menu and other details from the moment I reserved the table. On arrival we had a warm welcome by Arun and he showed us our beautiful table with extra heating on. His assistance was outstanding; everything from accommodating our last-minute alterations to shifting us to a VIP table at our friend's request was impeccable. Restaurant is spacious and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious, flavorful and authentic. Will definitely visit again :)

Superb food, beautifully presented by friendly people. We came for the slightly different menu and were blown away. Details matter; poppadoms with the usual sauces but all a little different (don’t you sometimes suspect Indian restaurants all squeeze it from bottles? Not here!). After the German market last night, we googled ‘Indian restaurants near us’ and picked ‘The Ark’, as it had a 4.7 google review score. On arrival, we were greeted immediately by the manager, Jason. There were a few dishes that were unfamiliar to us and Jason explained the ingredients and how it was cooked. We had starters and mains and everything was beyond expectation. They even made one of our group something off menu that she requested. The food we had was truly amazing, Jason even sent me home with some of the chill dip which was out of this world. If we could give more than 5 stars for quality, service, ambience and anything else we would! Jason spent time answering questions not only about the food, but the history of the restaurant and the menu itself. 2 of our group live in Brum and regularly eat out in Indian restaurants. They said it was the best they’ve tasted, even far surpassing a famous Indian restaurant in Brum, having a celebrity clientele and highly inflated prices. Well done Jason and the team for amazing tasting food, value for money and super friendly and efficient service. We will definitely be returning and telling all of our friends!!

Went here on Sunday 3rd December on a groupon voucher. Our server was Arun, very professional polite and talkative. Been to a number of Indian restaurants establishments throughout the uk. We had an absolutely fantastic meal. Good size portion. We told Arun it was the best Indian meal we had ever had and we have had a few. We will definitely be going back next time we are in Birmingham.

Omg. This is the best 'Indian' meal I have EVER had..You have to come here. Forget Ashas, I will go here from now on. The venue is fab, service excellent, food out of this world. And a good price. Certainly value for money.

Superb! Friendly welcome from Arun. Shown to a lovely table. Restaurant is spacious and decorated lovely. The food was fantastic, so fresh and the flavours outstanding. We were asked how hot in spice terms we would like our food which was a really welcomed request especially when you don’t like your curry too hot! Booked through first table so sitting down at 5pm in an empty and cold restaurant was a little strange. However from that point on had a really nice evening.
