I've been to many restaurants for a mixed grill and this is by far the worst. Food tasted bland and as if it had been reheated and not cooked fresh. The lamb biryani was dry and tasteless even after I had put the curry sauce on it. Also disappointed I did not receive any salad or sauces. Thought I had found a nice, local mixed grill restaurant but sadly I won't be visiting again.

Place was freezing,food cold and not much of it,had to be pay for poppadoms.. never again .

I had a great evening here yesterday with friends there's always a warm welcome from the staff and a good, reasonably priced beer from the well stocked bar. Zain, who runs the kitchen, goes out of his way to match your food order to individual tastes, I had a lamb balti which was the best I've had in a long time, the lamb was melt in the mouth, lovely sauce, was beautifully spiced and a generous portion, rice and naan were great too. All my friends were very satisfied with their food too, you'd have to go a long way to get food of this quality at these prices so I would certainly recommend a visit.

The food here is a-maze-ing!!. I come here at least once a month with my own family and now my extended family and friends have fallen in love with the place too. They have a fantastic vegetarian menu and do fab meat grills and a great selection of curries. The staff are super friendly and are very accommodating with the menu for even the fussiest of eaters. Has a very relaxed family feel. Would highly recommend a visit

Had been recommended this place by a couple of friends, tucked away from Erdington high street. Welcomed by a big smile, great service, food was quick, fresh and delicious. Excellent value for money, will definitely be back. If you like desi style grill pubs, this is the best one North of Birmingham.

May not look like an appealing place from the outside but the food and staff are amazing. Would come again, highly recommended the mix grill 👏

Six of us enjoyed a meal in here tonight. Food was tasty and plentiful and staff were friendly and helpful. Clean throughout. Not too expensive at the bar. Our satnav took us to the road at the back of the place, it's church road you need not Harrison rd. Parking provided at the front.

Had dinner here for the first time this evening, the staff was so welcoming and attentive, bar man was so polite, ordered a variety of dishes but it was well worth it, so flavoursome and absolutely delicious, good range of options and authentic! Massive credit to the chef he came out and spoke to us and was such a lovely man he was so kind I couldn’t praise him enough! Will definitely be visiting again! Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful food and consistently good! Very fresh and lovely flavours! Try the Jeera (cumin) rice - it is so lovely! I’m a big foodie and been all places in Sutton Coldfield, Wylde Green, Erdington for curries. This is my absolute favourite for quality of fresh food, flavours and also meat is always nice and tender. Beats the ‘posher’ places hands down! The staff are very friendly and chef is too! 100% recommend

Behind the unassuming exterior is a friendly and welcoming social club and bar serving unfussy and generous portions of great food - don't leave without trying the mixed grill. Drinks orders taken at the bar, but table service was quick and helpful, and many dishes on the menu can be spiced to order. On top of a couple of complimentary poppadoms, the masala fish starter was enough for two, and even the smallest mixed grill was very substantial. No-frills means pay on ordering and cafeteria-style sauce bottles, but that hardly matters when the food is so good.

Food was ok, I've had better if I'm honest. Try the grove in handsworth same kind of price but tastes much better in my opinion 😁

Amazing food but don't expect a fancy restaurant it is still very much like a Erdington social club. No real ale but drinks are cheap.

Food is nice enough. Mainly use for takeaway. Staff are ok. Not a big fan of having a night out here. For me it lack atmosphere. Also kitchen staff offer table service but once they have taken your order want you to go up to the counter and pay for it. They were reluctant to open a tab. They did after we told them no we would pay at the end

Have been here a few time and in all fairness the drinks and food have been to a good standard. This time the larger was terrible as if pipes needed to be cleaned. Also didn't realise the chicken in the curry isn't breast meat, which i find for the cost of the curry is very deceiving and put me off my curry. As every other restaurant i have been to use breast meat why isn't this mentioned on the menu. Chicken legs are the cheapest part of the chicken. I find this place is no cheaper than eating in other restaurants but the ingredients are cheaper than what you would expect but the prices are as high. Also if you notice they make you pay first where other restaurants you pay after you meal this is because they will not refund your money if you have a complaint about the food. People can say it's a little gem but is it.

The food was absolutely amazing. Even though we came starving, we are leaving with full tummies and takeaway boxes. The portions are huge and delicious ! The staff is very nice and friendly.

Very pleasantly surprised, doesn't look much from the outside, but has been nicely done up inside, beer at a decent price, the food was really really excellent, staff very relaxed and friendly. You have to try it, I will most certainly be back again soon!

Ordered a takeaway from here after reading the excellent reviews. The food was absolutely delicious I had onion rice with butter chicken. The food was fresh, delicate and delicious and there were fresh spring onions in the rice. There was lots of chicken in the butter chicken dish- with leg meat as well as breast. The sauce is really thick without being greasy, and it wasn't overly sweet like some British takeaway Indian dishes can be. Couldn't fault this place and highly recommend everyone to try it! Cooked quick too

I love this place, I have not yet eaten in the restaurant but I get my take out from here and it's amazing.

Hidden gem. We have eaten here several times and each time it is brilliant. Small menu but everything cooked to perfection. The chicken pakoras are the best I have ever had. I can't recommend them and the restaurant highly enough.

We've visited a few times now and the food is consistently delicious and well portioned. The staff are all very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them. The drink is normal pub prices compared to normal restaurant prices as well which always helps and they also do a takeaway service.

Really nice food, friendly staff, value for money, relaxed atmosphere, definitely worth a try! We had x2 £20 mixed grills with extras between 6 of us and had loads left over which they kindly give you a takeaway bag for 😊

Had a fantastic evening with 3 friends tonight. This place is a hidden gem in Erdington and I will be back regularly. The food is amazing and tasty and arrives to the table very hot. Each person is catered for perfectly and cood how we like it. I had massala fish starter and it was hot tasty and a nice crispy coating then mixed grill for one as my main. This was also delicious and included 3 fish pacoras 3 wings 3 sheish kebabs and 3 big chunks of tandoori chicken. It's well worth it and very good value. 4 people had starter and mains with 2 drinks each for under £80. Restaurant was very clean and complied well with covid compliance Thanks again for the great food and good night

Myself and two others went there yesterday evening. We found the staff so welcoming and pleasant and the whole place was very clean, very good social distancing and hand gel provided. Two people at the bar at a time but plenty of room for that. Anyway, the food was amazing. It tasted very fresh, and the smell and look of it was so nice. it is licensed resturant and the best thing for me is that is local with plenty of parking space.

Beautiful restaurant with a great food, amazing atmosphere and great services. Personally the starters- Peri peri chicken leg such as onion bhaji, salmon tikka was absolutely delicious, grills was fantastic with a large portions and specially the curries were lovely and delicious and naan’s were so soft and tasty. Every single food has there own speciality’s. And the staffs were all friendly and welcoming. I have been to many other places but honestly this one was my absolutely absolutely favourite one. Definitely recommend this place and see you soon again. Thank you for making our day!

Excellent experience . A group of us went on a Friday evening and was immediately greeted by friendly staff and seated . We ordered a variety of dish’s and shared . All portion sizes were of a good size so we were all able to taste and have a bit of everything , I would definitely recommend chefs special chips with any of the dishes as a side order, and our lamb curry was cooked to perfection . Will be visiting there soon as there’s no where in Sutton Coldfield that has a curry & grill as good as this one .

Amazing food great service and definitely worth a visit

We ordered food to take out and it was fantastic. The generous portions of King Sizzler grill, Lamb Balti, Butter Chicken, naans, masala chips, dips and salad were all delicious. Our food was ready exactly when we were told it was going to be and the service when we picked up was excellent. Next time, we're going to eat in and that will be very soon.
