This was such a find couldn’t believe it wasn’t more crowded ! Liked the character and atmosphere, top quality coffees at a reasonable price and the lovely woman behind the bar could not have been more friendly and helpful. We sat outside by the water with great views. Will actively week this place out next time I am in Bristol

Indifferent, couldn't be bothered service! We happened across this, what appeared to be a smart wine bar and seized the opportunity to get out the sun to enjoy a drink. I would say we were greeted with ambivalence, but truth be told, I had to ask if the bar was open before our presence was noted by the saltaff, as the two female staff were more preoccupied with their phones than attending to any customer. This indifference/ insulance continued as the staff barely said two words as they served us, this lack of attention was emphised as one of our drinks were served in a broken glass. I could not recommend and that you avoid bar enough, as the service was a travesty and clearly we were an inconvenience to the staff. Don't waste your money or time here!

A gem lying within the cacophony of bars and outlets focussed on lightening your wallet. The Architect is different. Have the charcuterie platter (one of the staff is doing his best with French pronunciation but he has a way to go - bless!) at a good price and a very generous portion. The cheese platter was equally impressive. They care. We are in our dotage and we felt welcome. The wine list was impressive for its absence of New World wines. Such a change to be offered a choice of nuance, style and sophistication. Our muscadet was delicious & the nice young man with the ropey French accent was happy to give us half a glass of Crème de Dijon so we could have Kir. Two bits of advice on reflection: install another toilet; offer the option of a proper continental breakfast - ham, cheese, croissant, fruit and coffee. It is not to be found in Bristol (well not in the parts we went to.) this is a charming place with charming people. We wish we could be here for the music. Try it out.

We called in on a Saturday evening. They have lots of outdoor seating but we decided to sit inside. A great pint of wheat beer from a local brewery, good background music and a very comfortable atmosphere. The food menu looked good.

El Steam Cafe Bar toma su café muy en serio, tanto que es una religión virtual. . . los pasteles también están bien.

This is a lovely little cafe. We had falafel and salad and the aubergine dish, both of which were very tasty. I had an apple and cinnamon fresh juice and it was so good. . Staff nice and service was
