The quiet barn next to the great sports orientated pub. Best of both worlds. Especially if there's a major sporting occasion on TV which will be shown next door. But more about The Annexe... Great real ales on tap, very large choice, good prices, nice staff. It's altogether a special relaxed traditional place. Pizza available every night from the kitchen. Highly recommended...

One of a very few favourite Bristol pubs. Perfect pizza (honestly, better than any pizza restaurant anywhere in the city) and a few perfectly kept pints of real ale. Highly recommended.

The Annexe Inn is a fantastic pub. Great atmosphere, brilliant selection of real ales, everyone really friendly. Highly recommend this as a spot for a drink and there's usually sport on the big screens. Haven't eaten here myself but the food looks great.

Top notch. Great place for food and drink especially at lunchtimes when the cricket is at Nevil Road. Excellent selection of real ales at good prices. Still the same. Excellent selections as usual. Lots of different sports to watch while your there. Still the same as last year. Great to relax drink and eat.

Good selection of beers, huge space, good atmosphere

A down to earth real ale pub that serves tasty, simple pizzas that hit the spot. Plenty of seats for chat, a large conservatory and a beer garden. The decor is somewhat vintage but the local crowd feels completely at home

Great food, Great service and bar staff are really friendly- especially Rhodri!

Had a great time here with my friends, would definitely recommend. The bartender Rhodri was a great laugh, he was very warm and welcoming!

Good value food, pizza deals really good.

Tucked away behind the sporty this real ale pub is a gem. Great selection of ales, along with the sporty food menu and TVs for the football too. Pretty much a dream pub.

Good pizza but the place dominated by TV screens, I thought you could escape that by going to The Annex rather than the dreadful Sportsmans next door

Nice local boozer although it is like stepping back in time. Has some decent ales, service is always good and the food (pizzas) are always tasty 😋.

Had the pizza and while you had the choice of options the basic pepperoni was just that. While my choice was ordinary my companions really enjoyed their choice of pizza and burritos were very tasty and plenty of.

Very good value food and pizzas. Usually have 4 or 5 cask beers plus usual lagers and ciders, including Thatchers Dry cider. Good place for watching footy.

Great pizza options, suitable for all. Normal, sourdough and gluten free, with over 30 toppings. Plenty of space any good service. Good selection of beers too. Visited there 15 Sept 2021.

Lovely atmosphere fantastic food. An absolute gem of a find. Pizzas are smashing and jacket potato cooked to perfection fast and friendly service. Will visit again no problem recommending even if 1 out of 3 pizzas went awol lol

Whoever was working whilst I was ringing tonight kept picking up the phone and hanging up on me. Very unprofessional.

Brilliant pub and so good to be back after 6 week lockdown and tier 3. The lovely staff worked extremely hard to reopen in under 48 hours I think, and my only criticism is that anchovy seems to have disappeared from the pizza menu! Sure it’ll be back. Good earthy, proper boozer.

Excellent Sunday lunch and a fine place to watch televised sports

Have been a few times now for Sunday lunch and all I can say is WOW 😀 What a bargain for less than a tenner. Beautiful flavour meat, great roast potatoes and loads of veg. Liked it so much that I booked for my birthday with a big group of friends and family - everyone loved it. Its not a fancy pub at all, but does have a good selection of drinks, with a relaxed atmosphere and very good service. Would highly recommend

Great little addition to this pub. Food and drink are good quality and reasonably priced. Toilet facilities in good condition. Thoroughly recommend as an out of the way place to have traditional pub grub.

Went in for drink before the cricket

Very warm welcome. Just about to close 3pm - 5pm(Sportsman next door remaining open though). But cracking pint. 6 real ales and they put the Ashes on for me on outside screen. Food from sportsman smelt lush and was very reasonable. Top notch all around.

Not enough bar staff when events are at the county ground. Be prepared to wait 30mins to get served. Pizza's are nice!!

It was packed to the rafters for the football. Very popular. Big screens all over the place and maybe 10 pool tables.

Excellent range/quality of beer and bar food also. The building is quite literally and annex to The Sportsman pub.

Excellent. Not everyones cup of tea but brilliant selection of ales, very good food at great prices. No dogs allowed which is a drawback for us.

Great pizzas, they now even do Sourdough. They often have daily deals on pizza. Great atmosphere but can get really busy especially during sport events so always try to get there early if you plan on getting a table.

They don't allow under 18s in the main bar area, but only tell you this after you've been to the bar twice to order drinks and then your food. After they've taken your money you are relegated to the ice cold conservatory out the back. I wouldn't mind but the two 16 year olds we had with our group were sitting good as gold quietly watching the football and if that was an issue why not tell us before we order dinner?
