Good old fashioned pub great service

Went and the dj they had on was amazing... I mean quality... been to ibiza etc and this guy is just wow! Props to the landlord for getting him in... by the way the pub is fantastic as well. Visit if you can....you won't regret it!

We came in for a drink after coming on our narrowboat the staff were lovely and what a lovely old fashion pub lovely memories of how a proper pub should be and we will definitely go again 😀

A lovely traditional local pub. I went alone and quickly got chatting with the regular customers. The lady working clearly knew her regulars and helped an elderly gentleman to put his coat on as he left... Hospitality at its best.

This place was rammed it was like going to a nightclub. We loved it especially the pizza van outside

We did a Brit stop in our camper here last night.The beer was spot on and the company good .It's a lively pub without being too noisy.They don't do food but there is a chippy , a Chinese and a pizza all close by.

A very welcome stop after a 10 mile hike over Mam Tor. A proper traditional English pub, friendly welcoming staff, lovely home cooked food & nice selection of drinks. Very dog friendly and will even bring your pooch a treat but will ask first.

We spent a very pleasant evening here and attended as a group on our Wednesday night rideout. Locals seemed nice and friendly, staff were helpful. Prices were standard for village pub, didn't see anyone eating but chippy a couple of doors down was very nice. We ate them at tables outside with our drinks and bar staff didn't mind.

Very good beer, and we got fish and chips from across the road and ate them in the covered yard... perfect.....

Never ate but all good otherwise..

One of the best pubs around Lincoln. Good beer, friendly staff, friendly customers. A proper drinking pub. Regular entertainment including bands, quizzes, karaoke.

Always visit this pub when visiting parents so have been quite a few times. It is a lovely local with very friendly locals who always make you feel welcome. Beer on offer is "top notch and never a bad pint"(according to hubby). Always busy..... especially when Lincoln are playing away n rugby on.

A warm and inviting place great friendly people and atmosphere outdoor seating area under cover and a very nice pint.

First visit, very dog friendly and 3 decent cask ales on offer. Large car park and enty of outside seating for warmer times !! Really enjoyed our time there.

We stayed overnight via the Britstop directory for motorhomes. A lovely pub, with very welcolming staff. No food, but chippy etc in the village. Would certainly visit again and happy to recommend to other Britstoppers. Thank you.

Always a good welcome, plenty of options to choose from whether its a hand pulled pint or draft flow. Pool table, darts board and lots of out door seating.

Having moored up at Saxilby waterfront, we visited The Anglers lovely village community pub. Dogs welcome in the bar area. Would visit again.

Great local and currently serving Adnams. What's not to like?

Stopped for 2 nights in the motorhome. A great motorhome stop. Friendly landlord, staff and locals. Very dog friendly. Toilets when open. The pub doesn't serve food but it has a regular food van. Pizza and curry while we were there. Theres a cafe a short walk for breakfast a fish and chip shop across the road. We were only going to stay 1 night but landlord mentioned the train to Lincoln, which was only across the road and £3.80 return. So instead of driving to Lincoln caught the train and stayed 2 nights. Highly recommend. Great location, we are quite local so will definitely be back.

Brilliant staff sorting our table service with an excellent selection of drinks we've stopping here on the boat and would recommend to anyone passing through.

Great as ever. Well worth a visit for a relaxing social drink in nice surroundings. Does not serve food, but often has a good truck in the carpark, which you can eat in or outside. It was the excellent taco truck when we visited. Alternatively you can pick-up Saxilby's outstanding F&C shop's food, or the Chinese. You can even get the pizza shop to deliver.

Land lord, a very nice person,knows his job.needs a bit of up dating,lighting but not much. Comfy atmosphere a place i would be happy on own reading a book.but a latte would be nice.😊I would recommend

We always stay here in our motorhome when we come to the Lincoln motorhome show .Great pub and they allow dogs .They don't serve food but there is a fantastic Chippy across the road to the left .
