The Angel Inn & Peacock Lounge Wainfleet in East Lindsey

We stayed in a local holiday cottage. Decided to pop in for a few drinks with the dog on Saturday lunchtime to see what the pub was like. Barman was very friendly and welcoming had a few games of pool with our grown up children and couple of drinks. Booked for Sunday lunch it was a lovely carvery with lovely well cooked meats and plenty of different veg. The lady serving the lunch was so friendly and welcoming even gave me some tinfoil to take the left over meat for the dog. Would thoroughly recommend 👌

Stayed in wainfleet and thought we would try the local Sunday roast.what a lovely roast at a very reasonable price.I had the lamb and I would recommend to anybody going there.My son had the beef which was first class as well.good selection of veg.well worth a visit

We stumbled upon this cracking pub yesterday whilst we were scratching round trying to find somewhere for a short notice Sunday dinner. Definitely not disappointed at all. Squeezing us in at 12.10pm bearing in mind we called at 11.30am arrived to a polite young lad at the bar and told us everything we needed to know as we had a four legged family member with us. Sat in the bar area which was very comfortable and clean. Another polite lady soon brought the cutlery and salt etc out and told us where to get our carvery. My wife went first and came back with a grand looking dinner and said that the lady mentioned we could have some turkey for the pooch if I get it when I go up. Beautifully cooked meat, huge range of fresh hot veg, stuffing, yorkshires the lot. Went down a treat too! All for the cheap sum of £10.95 per head which was spot on considering other places were more expensive and didn’t taste half as nice as this place! Keep up the good work and we will be back when we’re back in the area. Many thanks

Well...... on a wet and windy Monday afternoon... a group of (slightly rowdy) OAP's were in search of sustenance. The owner said they didn't do food on Monday.......but....who couldnt have taken pity on us? So fryers were lit and good honest food soon emerged, accompanied by lovely beers and generous, very palliative, wines. The local folk arrived for their Bingo session and insisted we join them....what a marvellous group and what friendship and hospitality, such fun we had!!! The owners of this pub deserve to succeed...they could not have been kinder to us. Every village should, by law, have a carbon copy of The Angel. If you are ever in the area....dont miss it!!

What a fabulous find this place was for us this weekend, me and the girls walked in on Saturday night and were made to feel so welcome, absolutely lovely team, fabulous atmosphere and the live band was amazing, we enjoyed it so much we returned on Sunday for the carvery, the food was gorgeous and the meat was cooked to perfection, absolutely made out weekend thank you guys please don’t change xx

Just been for carvery lunch here absolutely lovely. Everything freshly cooked for £9-95 not serving dessert's at present but personally didnt have room for one. Will be booking again when in the area 🥰

Visited for the first time on mothers day and i can honestly say first impressions was a 10/10 the staff are very welcoming the sunday dinner was beautiful,i shall be visiting more often !! The cakes looked amazing but i was too full to even try so thats on my next visit !! Thank you for making my mothers day special x

Me and my family have just enjoyed a wonderful Sunday carvery. The meat and vegetables along with the Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings were absolutely delicious. The cauliflower cheese was on another level. I would come back, just for this. You are very much spoilt for choice along with generous portions given. Thank you for great customer service Toni and staff. It's handy to know you offer a takeout option also. A definte continued little gem of an establishment. Home made food well worth the money

Called in here for a few beers. The place is in need of a freshen up...however, great choice of drinks, we played pool for about two hours and the lady behind the bar was really lovely. Worth calling in just for her.

Absolutely beautiful meal, carvery had a choice of 3 meats which were all tender and a huge selection of veg. The cauliflower cheese was best Ive ever had. Staff made it even better - so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend 100%

We had Sunday lunch at The Angel Inn while staying in Wainfleet for a long weekend. There were 10 of us. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. The carvery was lovely, very generous portions and all homemade. Will definitely go back if in area again.

We visited for birthday celebration Sunday Lunch and it was cracking. A feast from the carvery of excellent home cooked meat and vegetables in abundance. Service was exceptional with a great choice of drinks to enhance a proper English Roast Sunday Lunch.

It's October & we came to Wainfleet for a weeks holiday thought we would go in to the angel Inn & peacock for a drink & meal the place was empty, BOY I'm glad we didn't stay in there the place absolutely stank of mould or sewage no wonder the place was empty, this is a place to avoid trust me ,NO STARS FOR THIN INN. SORRY.

Went for Sunday lunch we really enjoyed it a choice of meat's & vegetables yorkshire puds stuffing & gravy. They didn't serve dessert's when we went but were hoping to start doing so. Staff are lovely!

We asked for a lunchtime buffet as a work leaving party....Toni was really helpful getting us the most for our budget and laying it all out in afternoon tea style with floral decorations across all the tables. There was plenty of food and any left overs were packed up for us to take back to work for us to enjoy the rest of the afternoon!!!! Would highly recommend for a get together at any time always a friendly welcome in here. Thank you !!!!

Me and my partner went for a Sunday carvery. And it was fantastic!!! The meat was great and the range of vegetables was fantastic! Especially the cauliflower cheese! I really enjoyed and highly recommended 😍

Lovely Venue for my Mums 75th Birthday, Toni-Anne, Carl and her team decorated the lounge beautifully, organised the buffet and made sure everyone in the party was well looked after!!! All we had to do was turn up and have a great time!! No hesitations in recommending The Peacock Lounge for all your party requirements. Lovely friendly team who go out of their way to make sure everything is just right and folks have a great time!

massive thankyou to the angel inn team, used the peacock lounge for my better halves 30th, was a brilliant night, the management and staff are very helpful and accommodating, nice decorations and good atmosphere. will definately book the room again.

Had my birthday party at the angel and Toni couldn't be more accommodating. Always made to feel welcome and a fantastic local pub. Would reccomend to all.

We were a walking group staying in the village this weekend, decided to give the Angel Inn a look . Had a really fabulous welcome by the landlady , we popped in for a quick pint about 6pm but ended up staying until closing time !! That should tell you how good this place is and it had live music! You need to support local pubs, good beer, good company and good music!!!!

A beautiful old pub with character. Outside buildings take you back in time. Peaceful setting and a feeling of relaxation. Landlady and partner very friendly and knowledgeable about the pub and local area. A nice place to meet friends and catch-up.

Newly renovated family run pub with the addition of the peacock lounge and fresh new look to the bar it's a great place to spend a few hours. The staff are friendly and easily approachable. A welcoming place to locals & visitors alike. There's toilet facilities large enough for people with disabilities. Plus a large undercover outside area. Entertainment is advertised on the outside board, well worth a visit for all, just a dinner time pint, an evening out or allowing yourself to just enjoy yourself.

What can I say! I have mobility issues and they couldn’t have been anymore helpful if they tried! Absolutely fantastic service, and such a warm friendly atmosphere! The entertainment was great too! We had the best time and will most definitely be returning .

What a fabulous pub with the greatest landlady in the world. All the staff are so friendly and can't do enough to make you feel welcome. There is a great selection of beers, lagers and cider with quality wines and spirits and the best prices in the town. First class entertainment and always a cracking atmosphere. If your visiting the area or live here this place is a must. Can't wait for the kitchen to open!!!

We are staying locally for a couple of days away. Decided to pop into here for a couple after trying the other pub yesterday. Was very pleasantly surprised with the Angel Inn. From the front street it doesn't look open as they are currently renovating inside ready for allowing customers inside next month. Round the back is a new beer garden that is full of new equipment and very comfortable. We visited with our doggie and they brought us over a water bowl straight away without even having to ask. The staff and locals were incredibly friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The manageress came and sat with us to ask if we were on holiday in the area after hearing our accents. She offered suggestions on local places to visit etc which was really nice. Service was very fast and the drinks were great. Very reasonably priced. Would love to visit again and see what they do with the inside. We had a great time here and would highly recommend.

The Angel Inn it's just round the corner from me has good beer pool table nice and friendly staff has entertainment at weekends go there when I fancy a drink they have said they may be doing food in the future will look forward to that Steve

A great local pub, you are always made to feel welcome, by the staff & locals. It has a pool table, darts, & jukebox, & a raised decking outside seating area with bench's & umbrellas. Good beer selection. 10 mins walk from Batemans Brewery.
