The best pub in Thames Ditton. Good beers, home cooked & hearty food, lovely atmosphere. Has a big room out back for functions that we use for special occasions. Landlords very friendly & that sets the tone!

Came at 22:45 and was told by staff member they were closed despite the website and sign saying they were open and closed at 23:30. I kindly told them to update their information and was met with dirty looks by the staff. Not very welcoming.

A solid pub. Good beer, priced well, and the same goes for the food. Every time I've been here the staff are jolly. Hopefully because they are jolly and not just laughing at my weirdy beardy face :) Who cares, good view of the green and fair parking. Only wish they had a different cider to the overly sweet Spell, which seems to be the go to cider around here

We had a late lunchtime roast on a Sunday, food was good, had roast beef, the salmon and the kids had burger and paste. All the portions were a general site and well cooked. My daughter had the burger and she said it was the best one she’s ever had, and she tells it how it is! Drink selection is good, Staff, very helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere and a log fire makes me feel like we could/should have stayed for longer.

Thank you so much for making a stressful day yesterday so much easier, everything you said you would deliver you did with bells on , you made all of us feel very welcome, and nothing was to much trouble, the buffet was fantastic especially the cakes, a big thank you to Mike, Molly and team, 🙏

This is now my favourite pub in Surrey. Eaten here 4 times in the last month to have a lovely homely delicious meal in this cosy traditional pub. Ecstatic to find a cheese ploughman’s on the menu too! Really great quality dining which is rare to find ! And very friendly staff! Strongly recommend!

Outrageous service and manners from the landlord and lady food was terrible and super rude when we questioned them regarding the food that was not what was described on the menu!! Have a pint but avoid food at all costs they were very lucky we didn’t take it further terrible service

Arrived as part of large group. Good food served efficiently in pleasant surroundings. Difficult to manage a group of our size but done well

Good choice and great atmosphere

A lovely little spot by the village green which is spot on especially if there’s a bit of cricket on the go. The Angel Inn has plenty of tables out the front that get plenty of sun, particularly in the latter part of the evening. The beer selection is solid rather than spectacular, but reasonably priced.

Curry not up to scratch would not recommend . Scampi looked OK..

Not sure what happened but there was a complete lack of service. Drinks were never put through so had to go inside to order again. Food never appeared on bill either until we mentioned we had food... wasn't offered cutlery with meal and had to ask leaving food to go cold. Plates never collected. Very disappointed as visited on the basis of other good reviews. Sat outside so maybe this had a basis on the level of service but to have zero service is not acceptable.

Lovely Valentine’s decorations on the branches and fairy lights, really pretty. Enjoyed our food, I love their brie and beetroot tart! Friendly service too.

Come in here all the time with my family and friends. The team are all great, friendly and just lovely in general! The food is amazing, and it’s the only place my very picky family will all agree they love the food.

Nice pub adjacent to the lock. On days when the weather cooperates one can sit outside and enjoy a meal by the waterway. Prices are fairly reasonable.

We had a delicious Sunday roast all cooked perfectly, with crispy roast potatos. Delicious.

Really lovely, welcoming staff and a fun place to hang out with lots of friendly locals as well. They had run out of roasts on Sunday when we got there at 3.30pm so get in there earlier in the day if you are after one :) Good range of standard other pub food on offer though. Kid and dog friendly 🤩

Took a while for staff to appear at the bar but the doom bar was lovely.

As a local group we booked the function room for a celebration dinner. Cannot fault the service or the food - food was hot, and very tasty. Beer and wine was truly lovely. Service was wonderful.

We had my husband’s 70th birthday party for 70 odd guests in their function room. Mike and Molly and their staff were great hosts and so helpful and friendly and did a great job with good food and a continuous supply of drinks. We recommend it highly as a place for a friendly and relaxed function at reasonable cost.

Really good and reasonably priced roast dinner, good bar and table service, cosy, traditional feeling country pub. Not sure about the astro turf out the front though. Could do nicer things to the garden. Car park makes life easier. Wheel chair access semmed good

A really nice traditional small pub. We visited lunchtime and had item from the Super Six £6 menu. It was superb value and very good. We reserved a table beforehand. The service was friendly and efficient, Great there was no music blasting out or television which mean we could chat without shouting We found parking in the car park to be very tight and a little difficult. Recommended

What a find! A lovely little pub, with friendly service and really great food. Plus a log burning fire, which really makes you feel cosy when it's cold outside. I got taken here today, by a friend, and loved the fact it was so good. My lunch order was for the chicken curry, and my friend had one of the burgers and chips. two soft drinks, and as I was paying, felt it was great value for money, and really decent food too. The menu is comprehensive and won't disappoint. It's somewhere I'll be returning to for sure. Really pleasant and friendly staff, plus decent onsite parking, made this a well worth visit. Congratulations to you all!!

A lovely very old low ceilings pub ,very friendly more importantly the food was so tasty ,nice and hot ,also their wines were not over priced as was food prices ,we will certainly return

Doombar tastes better here watching the green than anywhere else.

Local, quaint, sunny beer garden.... perfect. Could do with a better selection of beers on tap but the owners and staff are friendly and we visit frequently.

Had a really good Sunday lunch , the price was great and couldn't fault the service. Nice clean eating area and the fake grass outside really blends in with Giggs Hill Green opposite.
