The room was fine, updated but charming in old house. Toilet noise of grinding all the time when water is on. Two days without heat.

The meal was unfortunately a disappointment. The GF option was to just take out things that have gluten and not replace with anything. Even an extra roast potato would have been good. One slice of beef, one slice of pork and 2 small roast potatoes for £22

Requested a twin room but arrived to be shown into a double. Couldn't be changed until the following day apparently! Went down for breakfast on Saturday morning at about 8:30 (breakfast served from 8 - 10). No staff apart from the cleaner. She kindly tried to provide some tea, milk and cereals - and bread. So we made do without a cooked breakfast (included in the rate we paid). At about 9:10 a young lady appeared who offered us a cooked breakfast just as we were about to leave the restaurant. No apology. No kitchen staff. Just awful. I did get an apology from the General Manager later that day and Sunday morning breakfast was fine. Certainly won't use this hotel again.

Had a very poor experience at dinner yesterday. Was eventually offered a free bottle of wine , which involved 45 minutes of negotiation , and repeated requests to ask to speak to senior management

Stayed here for one night with my family. We had 3 rooms. Food was amazing. Staff were brilliant. The rooms were clean and the bed comfy. Only problem was a lack of hairdryer.

It is in a lovely location but it is overpriced for what it is. The room was quite basic for what was supposed to be deluxe! No hairdryer for example and poor storage space. Breakfast is particularly expensive. The evening meal was very good

Visited on a Saturday evening when they were quiet, the barmaid didn't acknowledge us for a few minutes not even a hello. We then asked if they had a table for 2 to dine and despite clearly having lots of empty tables, we were told no because we have 14 people dining across multiple tables so can't cater for anymore at the moment. I don't know how they would cope if they were busy.

We were looking for a quiet place for a cup of coffee in the otherwise busy village. The pub didn't serve scones so we opted to have a couple of deserts. This was a good choice as they by were exceptionally good. The venue was perfect for a chat, and the staff were friendly and efficient.

Suffolk's worst breakfast!!!!!?? We stopped here for breakfast last week, what a mistake that was. We walked in at 9:37 and asked for a table for 3 for breakfast, the lady that greeted us looked at her watch and rolled her eyes and said ok then. This was the first red flag and I should have walked then but I gave her a 2nd chance as she could have had a bad morning. Ordering the food both me and my wife opted for the traditional English breakfast and we asked for a side of bacon for my young daughter as she had already eaten and just wanted some bacon, to which the same lady that greeted us said as you sure? She then asked my daughter if she wanted a bacon sandwich, to which any 5 year old would reply yes. Fast forward to the food arriving, OMG the smallest and worst looking breakfast I've ever seen for £16. It was cold dry and so chewy it was a joke. I never said anything, as restaurants like this should be getting it right the first time around. At this point my daughter's bacon sandwich arrived to her disappointment on brown seedy bread, yes what 5 year old wants brown seedy bread. So we took the bacon ok and she just ate the bacon and tbf she said she liked it but again it was dry and hard. At this point I realised that both mine and my wife's toast were missing, when I asked I was pointed to a continental bar where there was 2 bits of bread left yes 2! one white one brown. When I asked for more she said she would grab some. Fast forward 5 mins a young girl from behind the bar appeared through the front door with 2 loaves from the shop a few doors up. When she walked in she was asked to put some toast on for us by which I believe to be the manager now (lady that greeted us). Another 5 mins pass no toast! So I walk over to the bar and there is no bread in the toaster 🤦 so I stick in 2 pieces of bread and walk away. I return a few minutes later to collect my bread for the manager to tell me to take a seat as they are making it, really? At this point I had to say no you're not as I have had to put the bread in the toaster and start it myself as the young girl never. The look she gave the young girl was not good. Paying!!! We knew what both our meals cost but I was in total shock when we were charged £8 yes £8 for a kids bacon sandwich to which she only ate the bacon and not the bread, what we originally asked for!!!!!!! Oh and they added a service charge of just under £5 for the convenience. I will never return here as the experience I had was shocking and I hope this review helps the people with their choice going forward.

A little gem, in a stunning Medieval Village. Set in a quiet market square. Away from the mainstream traffic through the village. Well kept, and maintained. Friendly, and super helpful staff. Excellent food. Accommodation very clean and comfortable.

Great Inn to stay at, free parking in the public car park next to the pub. Great food and great beer. Room was typical of a centuries old Inn and was well turned out.

Always great coffee with friendly service. Not many changes, great coffee served by friendly staff. Usually visit after shopping. Tends to be busy, but staff still courteous and attentive.

Delicious takeaway from our local last night. The curries were both excellent, and different from what you see on your standard takeaway menu. Great saag paneer too, and nice rice. Only let down I would say was the naan's which were both a little stale and brittle. But they did make my Garlic Naan into a Garlic and Chilli naan which was much appreciated, thanks!

The Hotel is great. Staff are great, rooms, the service, everything. Except the new menue. There is no alternative to meat dishes. The vegetarian options and the fish dishes are tiny, overprices readymeals, very dissappointing. The Katsu Curry is a joke. I have had Currys in Green king before that were nice but calling a bed of rice, some chips and bredded chicken with curry sauce poured over a curry, is very sad!
