We had a fantastic night out at The Anchor as a large group celebrating. Julie and all of the staff made us so welcome and made sure we had a great time. There is a large range of drinks options and every taste was well catered for. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be back soon.

This pub gives a tradition English pub feeling. Great local ales on tap, games room with pool and darts, outside seating and just a friendly atmosphere. So happy to have this as a local!

This pub is a fantastic spot that you must visit. Last weekend, we enjoyed a chilled DJ set on Saturday afternoon that continued into the evening. Unfortunately, we had to leave around 8 PM, but the DJ was still playing. The previous weekend, there was a singer performing in the afternoon, and food vans were serving delicious food. The pub has a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere and has been beautifully renovated. The bar staff are incredibly welcoming, and it's a place I'd highly recommend for families, couples, and groups. They offer a great range of drinks and beers on tap at reasonable prices.

Julie and Dom have done an amazing job turning the pub around so quickly. It was tired and dilapidated but no longer! So far there has been an event every weekend since opening. It's now lively and bustling. Really looking forward to when the kitchen reopens.

Absolutely filthy, the place is a dump. Avoid at all costs, no draught beers, the fridge was empty, no sugar free drinks for a diabetic colleague. Poo on the mens toilet seat. The list goes on

Walked in and no drinks available, was passed over a diet coke that looked like pond water, which I handed back to then be told they had no other soft drinks available as they was waiting for a delivery. Most of the alcoholic drinks on the taps didn't work! One of the most unhygienic pubs I have ever been in, overgrown garden, cobwebs every where, dirty walls, dried poo all around the toilet and to finish it of there was no handwash!! - In desperate need of a refurb and a deep clean, wont be going there again.

It’s horrendous went for Sunday dinner chicken smelt like sewage, had to get a refund. The kids had fish and chips and when it came it was still frozen!! Disgusting that they think it’s ok to serve food like that, it’s unbelievable!!

There are not many pubs around the area to enjoy just a drink, with many pubs now serving food at seated tables having basically become restaurants. The Anchor is a proper pub, a friendly traditional local you can drop in and enjoy a pint. With music, tv sport, comfortable seating, friendly locals and a real fire - who could ask for anything more!? By the way, tasty bar food is also available!

No nonsense friendly good pub with very nice prices. Had 2 beers, very good ones for a bit over 8 pounds. Can recommend for a pub person and having live fire in firepit was really nice cherry on a cake.

This is a lovely little country pub full of friendly locals. The barman is very polite and makes you feel welcome. The food is cheap and really good. It's proper pub grub. I would recommend this over and over again. There is a roaring fire, comfortable seats, clean toilets, a good laugh, brilliant food and you leave without feeling like you've wasted money. Absolutely perfect!

An Olde World Pub, with small tables, a good atmosphere quiet and homely with very attentive staff and an excellent chef. The menus were all written on blackboards up on the walls and we were amazed at the variety of choices and the very reasonable prices.
