The fish and chips should be called fishes and chips! Scampi was perfect as well! All with a pint and a glass of wine for the lady for £40 Perfect ! All served by a very pleasant smile! Thank you and if we are passing this way again we are sure to call!!

Wonderful food and drink. Had the salmon foccaccia and nachos. Amazing portion sizes for the price.

Friendly staff and good food, quite busy for a lunchtime which is a good sign. We will be back. Another excellent meal today with 5 friends. Good cheerful service and very reasonable prices.

Lovely place for a drink and walk to paxton pits..service was good on day..only let down was some customers who couldn't handle there drink and started on each other..but dont let that stop you visiting. Staff handled very well, and felt sorry for them.

This is a good local pub nice staff well run and definitely one of my favourites.

Had a couple of pints decided to have food. Saw the ratings online all were about poor service but decided to give it a go. Burguer was very good would only change the bun. Bit dry and plain. Portion was just enough and it wasn't expensive. I did used my limbs to move in to the counter and ask for my order. Food came out faster then I had a pint and I'm a fast drinker. Service was polite fast and helpful.

Great breakfast at the Anchor! Not your usual English breakfast which makes a lovely change, the balsamic mushrooms were incredible! Thank you Rachel, we will be back ❤️

Been in the anchor many times and felt obliged to leave a review after watching the football yesterday, the perfect environment for both family and adults to watch the England game, staff fantastic and attentive and the perfect balance of everyone having a great time but respectfully so ! Slow to get served in the restaurant section when it was nearly empty. And there were so many flies. That's the reason it lost stars. The food was excellent though.

First time here, lovely pub with a playground and Boules Court. We drank Neck Oil and Cruzcampo larger, reccomend by the server. The beer tasted delicious and well kept. Lots of dogs and kids here with led to a relaxed friendly atmosphere! We will be back for sure

We visited last Saturday for lunch as we will be moving to the area soon and the everything was fantastic! Food, service, location, all great, highly recommend.

Travelled from London for house viewings and this was the local pub chosen to stop for lunch. The service here was excellent! Tracey and Lexi were very welcoming and attentive. The food was the best I've had in a pub especially the apple crumble which is a must to have! Our son and daughter in law are moving here and picked the Anchor to try as they will soon be locals! We are looking forward whenever we visit them to eat at The Anchor! They made an excellent choice!

Food was beautiful. Going to come again Saturday it was that good...

Good Sunday roast for the family

Great place for a delicious lunch.... Nice welcome and very clean dining area, love the wallpaper 😀 nice feel to it and the food was clean and fresh 👌 Second visit we sat outside and on a sunny day the place was buzzing. We had a tasty lunch the fish and chips are amazing the staff were friendly and nothing was too much to ask. They even made me a special meal 😋 Definitely recommend and we will be back 😀

Our first visit here. Our kids loved playing in the garden area and it was ideal as we could sit and relax and keep an eye on them. The staff were so polite and attentive. A real asset. The food exceeded our expectations. Was delicious and plentiful! Good range of drinks and all nicely presented. Kitchen were very accommodating at preparing an alteration of a adult meal for my fussy daughter at a reduced price. This was really appreciated and she loved her meal. The only criticism I'd have is that I was very aware of being right in the middle of a housing estate. I felt like if the garden area was contained a little more between the car park and seating area, it would have had an even nicer feel, and the metal chairs weren't the comfiest. We'd definitely go again though.

Nice quiet pub close to nature reserve. Average prices for craft beers but a bit steep for soft drinks. Made up by the nice beer garden and a atmosphere.

Great welcome and smiling staff. Good selection of beers. Decent menu, excellent chicken Caesar salad, baked potatoes and ciabattas. Good outdoor seating that catches the sun. Will go back in the evening to check out the live music. Well worth a visit after a walk around the pits.

Nice little pub with a great country feel despite being just off the A1 and near St Neots. The Fish and Chips were excellent and the service was nice as well. Really nice draught beer selection with cask ales available as well. I had a particularly great Parsnip and Apple soup; really great for a cold day.

Wasn't expecting a great deal from this pub nestled in to a rather boring housing estate. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service both of which were very good. maybe we'll come again!

First visit for many years and was very pleasantly suprised by pub itself and gardens. It's well presented internally and fronted by a most attentive landlord and staff who are providing a decent range of food throughout the week. Would have given it 5* but for group of noisy children running through gardens spoiling the overall ambience albeit there is a substantial childrens play area for children.

Nice vibe (manages to be a range of different things to different people, including a well set-up family pub). Staff very apologetic for delayed main courses (new chef), but were thoughtful enough to prioritise an impatient toddler's meal

Feb-2022: Visited with friends while out for a long walk. Stayed for lunch. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and airy place. The food I have was very good (I had a tuna mayo) and the all-day breakfast a couple of us chose looked great.

We had an impromptu meal. Staff were very accommodating and fitted us in with no booking although they were quite busy. Our food was served quickly. The staff were all very friendly.

Great Pub, owners have really put their heart and sole into it. Lovely food, burgers are huge and must say value for money 🍻🍔

Good quality food and drinks selection. Kids play area is great, but the smoking area is right next to it and could do with being moved to the other side. Staff helpful and friendly.

Visited here with 4 families after going to the nearby aqua park. It was a Sunday so most had a roast, all of which were really really nice, very generous portion sizes with a huge Yorkshire pudding and everybody cleaned their plates. Desserts were also very nice and a good size. Nice outdoor area for the kids too and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

It has become a favourite friends and family social hub for us. Chosen venue to hold our Dad's 90th birthday celebration. The whole day went so well, this is with many thanks for the organising skills of Rachel, and her wonderful team. Marquee we could use dressed so lovely is a great space for dining, and social gatherings. Buffet we all had on this occasion was excellent. Cannot thank this establishment enough for what they did for us.

Suitably, spaced. Good tasty food lovely staff couldn't do enough. Covered outside area. One small setback - food for outside, from kitchen to marquee meals not covered exposed to flies & don't remain hot for long. Would still recommend The Anchor meals.

The best roast dinner I have ever had when eating out!

Just had a tasty pub lunch here. Steak, blue cheese and onion panini with fries for £7. An ample main course really! It's a bit of a tardis and there's plenty of space to spread out, both indoors and outdoors. There were vegetarian and vegan options although it was a bit limited for evening meals - unless they have a different menu at night...

After a long walk along the river from St. Neots to Little Paxton - here was a welcoming hostelry in the village. Very close to the Pits Nature Reserve, meant we were able to enjoy a gentle post- lunch ramble round the Meadows pathway. The Anchor burger for him was a prime menu choice, and the fishcakes for her, a delicious choice. Service was crisp and friendly, and great prices good for food of this quality...
