The Albert in City of London, Westminster

This was a beautiful pub restaurant with fine cocktails and fancy drinks or a tasty pint and wonderful food.

We went out for drinks and some food and the experience was FANTASTIC. We stayed for 3 hours and the service was amazing thanks to Dharti, Rishi, and Suchita. Would definitely recommend and we will obviously come back.

A perfect afternoon at The Albert Pub: the lamb was perfectly cooked and served, Dharti was attentive and very responsive to our requests, really great 👌

One of the most remarkable pubs in the country and one that is loaded with British history. Food is delicious and beer comes at a good price. Special thanks to the manager, Josie, who was very accommodating to us in all our endeavours. Drinks come at a reasonable price for the location. A must-go if you are in the area!

Delicious dishes and atmosphere

The place is good in terms of atmosphere. But the wait for food was 40 minutes. We ordered cheese sticks and a burger crust. The chopsticks were brought almost immediately. And the wait for the burger was more than half an hour. The sticks are some of the most delicious I've ever eaten. And the burger and potatoes were dry.

Fish and chips reserved for 70 students and 7 chaperones. Very warm welcome. Delicious fish, portion of fries a little light though.

The burgers and fries were not huge in quantity. However, they were excellent despite at least a 40 minute wait.

Good place to eat, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. If you go with minors they only have a license until 9:30pm.

Very pleasant and buzzling atmosphere of an English pub. A juicy fish and chips and a decent pint downed in a Victorian built pub, which survived WWII bombings is a must visit!

Really nice burgers, roast chicken and fantastic Green King Ipa beer. Staff really nice. 100% recommend providing you never use the upstairs toilets !!! Always use the downstairs toilets. Trust me. . . Please. . .

Great place to meet with friends in central London

We visited with a group of 63 teenagers mid February and had a nice dinner. Everyone was very kind and service was amazing. We only had 45 minutes to eat before going to see Hamilton down the road and the lovely staff really delivered with their service. The kids were very happy with the food and we made it on time for the show. This would not have been possible without everyone involved that day. Thank you so much for everything!

We came here for dinner with friends. I ordered Chicken Kiev but what came out from the kitchen was an abomination, an insult to the dish of Chicken Kiev. A Chicken Schnitzel with a knob of garlic butter doesn't qualify. The staff did their usual routine of asking if the food was ok but when you're having dinner with friends you can hardly start complaining. Really have a word with the chef because that isn't good enough

I was disappointed on my special day with my loved one. Despite having a reservation on the second floor, we were left unattended for about 30 minutes while other guests were being served. Frustrated, we decided to move downstairs, where the staff were kind and attentive. However, this time, we encountered another issue—our wine glasses were dirty. These are things that need to change to ensure a better experience for all guests.

We will definitely come back ! The staff was super kind and lovely. We came with 61 pupils. They all enjoyed it !

It's pub in central London so don't expect atmosphere beyond a crowd. It is still lovely to have a building like that next to cement and glass monsters of Victoria.

A warm and authentic pub nestled in the middle of ultra modern buildings. Striking contrast. Lovely welcome for our large group. Great adaptation to everyone's dietary constraints despite the number of guests (53!). Efficient service. We recommend 200%.

For our last day in London, dinner at the pub restaurant with 48 students. The pub is typical. The meal was very, very good. A special mention for Josi and his team, warm, very attentive to everyone, smiling, joy of living

If you want to tast some of England

Good food and very nice shop. Unfortunately the service staff weren't particularly friendly. We wanted a total bill (for the purpose of expense reporting), that would have to be discussed more intensively because they wanted to bill each drink individually and then told us that we might not be able to pay at all 😑

Very long wait (40min) to be served 2 dishes. The Chiken and chips was very oily and hard served with three small salad leaves and a very small portion of fries. We had a second course, fish and chips, which was also disappointing. We got it for €55 just for two oily dishes and a cocktail, which is therefore expensive. We are disappointed because it was an address that was recommended to us. We in turn do not recommend this address.

Good Pub but the meat is tough and small portion for Sunday Roast. Staff is accommodating and friendly.

We were here as a family with 2 children. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the children's menu, which could be found on the homepage, was not used. We then ordered a normal meal for the children. The food tasted very good. The atmosphere is great, the background noise is very loud. All in all an experience and recommended.

Pub has a great atmosphere, is busy enough to feel lovely, yet not so busy that you cannot move. It's bright and airy. Recommended.

Everything is super tasty. Toast wow, fish and chips, wings, steak ale pie outstanding. The whole family ate, everyone was delighted, the prices were normal.

Arrived late night in London on Sunday and it was the only pub with good reviews near us. The food was very good, beer was excellent and the service was also good.

The Albert Pub is in Victoria. A bit crazy when you look back to when Prince Albert was about, I think he was in Queen Victoria for a bit.

A historic place in the London area, you pay at the register and sit down waiting for your order. Friendly staff gin and tonic at modest prices. I recommend it

The food was subpar. The Sunday special roast was tough (like, almost impossible to cut) and way overcooked, and the gravy was watery and bland. The sides were good. A disappointing Sunday roast.

Staff member was very rude, and got the wrong coffee brought out , ladies toilets were not very accessible and when asked where they were we were spoken to in a very unpleasant manner.

Mansey was our waitress and was wonderful! She served about 15 tables at once and was very attentive!

Fish and chips were delicious! ! The staff was also very kind and recommended beer, which was great.

If you’re walking down Victoria St and you’ve got all day to spare it would be silly not to visit The Albert. Traditional London pub, great atmosphere to have a beer and marvel at the Victorian features including the original hand-etched glass windows.

Good pub in great location. Traditional London pub. Have been twice in last few weeks. Always busy and good atmosphere. Only issue was this time no alcohol free lager on draught as run out. Toilets do need a refurb though!!

Great pub. Not a tourist pastiche

The food was amazing, and the beer was on point. We even shared some laughs with the bartender and other folks at the bar. Good times all around, would definitely go back. Highly recommend!

This was my first pub in the UK, and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff. The women's restroom is on the second floor.

Gorgeous, old pub. Absolute must visit when touristing around Westminster. Some lovely food options ( including a yummy vegan burger for myself.) Friendly, accommodating staff. Would go back.

Good place to fun for some drink

We ate very well in this typical and pleasant place thanks to the kindness and excellent service of Lilly.

Albert succeeded. I had the worst breakfast in my life. Let's start with the edible things: fried mushrooms and grilled tomatoes. 2 sausages were so hard that you couldn't stick a fork into them, let alone cut them. When I managed to bite them, it turned out that they were charred inside. They probably heated them so many times that they turned to stone. The bacon is dry and has probably been heated many times. The beans are nasty and old and the Porsche egg is hard-boiled. Plus no bread. If we add that they didn't sell beer at 11, it was probably the worst gastronomic visit in my life. On the plus side, a nice lady from the staff and old-school decor

Cozy pub with a super friendly crew and good food

A beautiful building steeped in history but their prices and beer leaves a lot to be desired. It was pretty busy when we visited but we managed to get a seat. Service was quick but they didn't seem bothered that our beer tasted strange. The toilet facilities were the smallest cubicles I've ever encountered!

What a lovely place. I went with a group and Mansi was delightful. I had the vegan burger and it was yummy. My group ate steak and ale.

The atmosphere is quite cozy and the service is good, but the food is just ok. We ordered fish and chips and found them very greasy. It's worth a visit for the atmosphere and the beer.

We booked a table for 5.30pm. Got to the pub and it was packed. We were unaware that the rugby was on. Asked where to go for our meal and were directed upstairs, where it was just as busy. We were then told that as a private group were due in that evening, we could either sit upstairs but then would have to move, or sit downstairs. We finally opted to sit downstairs. Ordered food- 1 steak & chips & burger & chips. Steak was tough & garlic bread was cold. Burger was tough and overcooked. Food was dished up like we were eating in a Weatherspoons. We had to rush off to the theatre so didn't have time to give feedback to the staff, and probably couldn’t have done as they were so busy. Hugely disappointing as it looked really good on the website. They shouldn't have taken our booking.

Going to eat meat pie. The meat pie meat was really soft. It's delicious, but you need pickled radish or kimchi to eat all the potato chips. Not enough drinks. Ice cream was served for dessert. British milk flavored ice cream.

Great pub! Visited with a friend on a Saturday night. It was just the right level of busy, and we got a cosy 2-person table by the window. Really lovely interior. Lots of space. For beers, London Glory was extremely good, and Abbot Ale was nice too. They also had hot drinks when we visited, which was nice on a cold day (including hot toddy if you're drinking, or tea if you're not). Would be nice if the council would let them stay open a little later.

Whilst we enjoy the atmosphere at this historic pub, the service was generally average, and food this Sunday for our party was well below par. The Sunday roasts, particularly, were disappointing: warmed up food. The two small slices of beef were thin, overcooked and desiccated. No amount of luke-warm gravy could revive them. The blackened cabbage portion was cold and raw in the centre. My Yorkshire pudding adorning the dish was also clearly past its best and tasted like parchment. A portion of Chicken Kyiv was more like chicken schnitzel. Whilst the adorning crumb was agreeably crisp and warm, the chicken flesh beneath was paper thin and dried out. Wholly disappointing.

We had a great time. The atmosphere is pleasant, the waiters attentive. The dinner was really good and their seasoned fries were a treat. A must-visit!

Nice place. Nice beer. Incredibly rude staff. I was ignored twice at the bar. And when the barman finally did come over he didn't say a word. No acknowledgement of my order. No telling me how much it cost. And no thanks. Nothing.

Absolutely fantastic food, the staff were very friendly (and charming). We had a starter and a main. Dharti and Rishi served us and they were brilliant, definitely made us feel welcome for a first time at the pub.

Unfortunately, this time I didn't use the service because we were too early, but this very atmospheric pub from 1862 with a facade that was not damaged during the war is perfectly integrated among the office buildings and buildings.

Lovely traditional pub with a good atmosphere, welcoming staff. Great food options. All three of us enjoyed our meals and desserts. Plenty of space too.

During our visit, there were very few à la carte dishes. We were able to taste the traditional F&S which still caused us to wait around thirty minutes. The small-weight jam wasn't great but the rest was.
