Didn’t have a chance to try the food but we had the best bartender Sarah serve up not only great drinks but also great advice for spots to visit while in London. Can’t wait to come back!

One of the friendliest pubs in London, I can say it is the best pub in London with its atmosphere and service. In addition, the security is very understanding, especially George is very good at his job and very friendly.

Great pub, 200 years of tradition, plus the name of the pub is a marketing campaign by itself.

Organised for a business social / after work event, drinks and food. We had a brilliant time, everything was as described. Booking and ordering was super easy, shout out to Karmen who facilitated it. Great venue, friendly staff and lovely food. Would definitely recommend.

Went to the cocktail bar, and had the best time, the atmosphere was amazing. Lauryn, Jasmin and Jess were really helpful with suggestions and made me the most delicious cocktails

At the our arrival we met George, the security guy at the front door, he was fantastic,funny, and incredibly professional. He made our experience feel welcoming and smooth from the moment we arrived. Very nice Pub and great food with a good choise of beers. Lovely atmosphere 👌 We'll come back for sure.

Excellent food and good beers in a characteristic and well-kept environment. There are several vegetarian/vegan options on the menu (the ones I tried were delicious). Worth a try if you are near Liverpool Street Station.

We came in for Sunday Roast, Lauryn was really helpful with offering suggestions and came back to check up on us, despite being busy. Will definitely be coming back again.

Fabulous decor, nooks and crannies, wooden balls, low beams.,. Good beer, ok prices, places to drink alone or in company 🙂 good pub

Was there tonight with my mate/ colleague love the staff they know me proper now l9ve the vibe the music and the girls who go there tonight was fun and loved it only problem was the price to much so couldn't bye much but so recommend if u finished your stressful work shift an need a drink lovely customers everyone wants to vibe with everyone a bit of everyone age 😊 love it thank u see u all when I'm paid hopefully they hire soon I'm soo wanting to work there I have experience 😊

We had an absolutely brilliant time at Dirty Dicks. The pub has an incredible atmosphere- full of character and history. Sarah H was fantastic - so friendly and welcoming. Even taking the time to share the pubs history with us. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to return. We popped to Dirty Dicks for a Sunday Roast and loved it! We were seated by the window which was perfect for watching the world go by while we browsed the menu - which had lots to offer, so all of our tastes were catered for. The food was delicious, with great portion sizes and all of the team who served us were friendly and knowledgeable. The wine selection was plentiful and the Espresso Martini was one of the best I’ve tasted! Would definitely recommend.

Don't let the name put you off. This pub is a fount of history. The previous owner was Charles Dickens' inspiration for Ms Haversham in great expectations. Wonderful staff, especially a young Australian girl who was the life and soul of the pub!

Thank you for lovely time at the Dirty Dicks pub. Food was very delicious and service was friendly and professional. I had roast chicken croquettes and chicken wings that came with blue cheese sauce. I love the atmosphere of this old pub that has quite few bars actually. Would definitely want to return in the future.

Nipped in for a pint. It's a good pub but not what it was the last time I was here 42 years ago. But then again neither am I.

I recently had my retirement party at Dirty Dicks, organised by a dear friend of mine. It was absolutely fantastic. The basement room was superb, beer was great (Andy can vouch for the Rose!), and the food went so quick. I was also allowed to bring Brenda (my cockapoo) who also had a great time. She was only going to stay for an hour, but stayed for three!! (Brenda can vouch for the water). The staff were efficient, attentive and friendly. Well done. It was a really memorable night.

Was a mainstay during travels to London for work. This place has it all.

We went to the pub straight after the journey to quickly eat and drink something, because it was right next to the station. Collecting the order already took about 30 minutes. I feel like half the card was missing. Sausage and potatoes? There aren't. Cider? There aren't. Scotch egg? There aren't. Steak main course with seasonal insert? There aren't. The pace of serving dishes is at least slow. The entire stay took us almost 2 hours. The food was amazing, but not terrible either. Nevertheless, I find the whole thing very average. On our last day we went to another pub nearby and the whole thing was delicious and took 30 minutes.

Lovely pub for drink and food was grand.. nice place in the middle of the busy station and area. Was quiet and warm when I was there. Staff are really lovely

Booked an area in the pub for hen party celebration. Ordered food and drink in advance. Drinks ready and waiting for us and spot in the pub upstairs was good- still felt like we were part of the pub but weren’t interrupted by anyone and easy to get extra drinks at the bar. Food was delicious and staff were happy to help those with food allergies. Plant based sliders were particularly good.

3rd occasion Sunday roast at Dirty Dicks. Myself and sistrens enjoyed the whole experience. The menu had changed from my last visit. I must say the ladded items were to my liking (also the sistrens). 2 first timers and they were comfortable. The change to the seating was fab. Tables spaced out and the added the television screen with the log fire added to the experience. The three meats roast menu was delicious and filling. No extra roaties require and definitely no pudding (I wanted to, no space). Drinks were lovely also. Definitely another visit required.

Went in there this morning. There was two Ladies behind the bar one was called Sarah but I didn't catch the other Ladies name. But both was extremely welcoming,friendly and professional .

We got a bottle of sauvignon from Chile and a large glass of red wine, both recommended by the fabulous bar staff Sarah. She was friendly, vibey and a total delight. The drinks hit the spot and would definitely re order.

We booked a table for drink and nibbles, the service was great and the food we had was also very good. Would like to come back here for a proper meal. Feels like you are going back in time a bit in this cool building!

The warm atmosphere and service was excellent. The help we had with a buggy going upstairs was a breath of fresh air to see, customer first!! Will definitely come again when we in London again, the food was home made and excellent quality, Sunday roast is a great choice!!!

A charming old-school pub with bags of character near Liverpool Street station. The friendly staff really make this place special, creating a welcoming atmosphere perfect for after-work drinks. While it can get crowded during peak hours, the convenient location and reasonable prices make it an ideal spot for a pint before catching the tube home.

Superb pub offering a great selection of alcohol and a good choice of food. Service was excellent, even on a super busy Friday before Christmas. You can tell the pub is 100s of years old from the interior, but it has a modern vibe and caters for a broad selection of people. Would recommend a visit.

We were a group of 8 people who went for our Christmas lunch. We choose the Christmas menu. We did not arrive all together, but the staff waited patiently for us to arrive. What can we say about the service and the food. IT WAS EXCELLENT. Everybody was served at the same time, and the food was hot and very tasty. In fact, everyone cleared their plates, we will definitely be back.

Refused entry by bouncers, who had no empathy or understanding. as my friend could not answer a question put to him by them. I explained he is suffering with dementia, I was told I could go in but he could not!.

Walked in, got barged by a bouncer, took 30 minutes to get served, toilets disgusting , I mean shit everywhere

On my first day in London just outside Liverpool Street Station I had a laugh at the name of the pub, as the apostrophe in "Dick's" wasn't really visible in the sign. I didn't give it a try then. On my last day, however, I had time to kill before catching the airport coach and needed to eat. I said why not, got a burger and a pint of beer. It was delicious and huge and totally worth it. The staff were lovely, the place was pretty quiet at that particular hour on a Monday and, very convenient for me, I found a table right next to a socket and could charge my phone during the meal, as I was running low on battery. It looks like a great pub, with a cozy atmosphere and good drinks, so I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

We recently held our year-end event at this fantastic pub, and it couldn’t have gone any better. As the organiser, I was thrilled with how everything turned out, a big thank you to their events planner, Karmen. From the beginning, Karmen was attentive, accommodating and incredibly detailed-orientated, helping us craft the perfect event tailed to our team’s needs. The venue itself was brilliant – spacious, stylish, and perfectly suited for our celebration. The staff on the day were outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. A special shoutout to Chris, who was particularly helpful and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, with everyone on the team raving about the quality and variety throughout the night. Thank you to Karmen, Chris and the team, our event was a huge success. We’d wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host an event and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you for making our year-end celebration so memorable!

Hadn't been here for years as service was always kind of poor but as in the area thought we'd give it a try and my Canadian wife likes to see old pubs. Couldn't fault it, ticks every box as a lovely old historic pub, great helpful service and decent range of beers too. Reasonably priced for the area too.

Nothing special. Checked the place out because it said roast dinner although it was only served on Sunday. got the pie instead and the gravy was the worst I've ever had. If you're looking for authentic then don't eat here. Fortunately that I didn't have the roast dinner with their piss like gravy

Love this place, it’s super close to Liverpool st. Station and is perfect for post work drinks though it can get pretty crowded at times. We do usually find a seat though upstairs or downstairs so if you like old historic places this is it.

I had a private birthday party at WM Barker part of Dirty Dicks, just below the pub. We had a fantastic night. Everyone complimented the lovely historic and atmospheric venue, how great it looked all decorated for Christmas. The food was also great and plentiful. The staff were exceptional, they couldn't do enough to ensure we had the best time and they worked so hard all night! We were genuinely made to feel very special with Karmen and Lauren and their team were absolutely marvellous! They catered for every little detail. Thank you so much for such a superb, rememberable night!

Great pub, full of history and amazing staff. Everyone was so welcoming and happy to help. Would highly recommend the fish & chips if you're heading here, delicious and gluten free too! Definitely worth a visit if you're around Liverpool street.

Went to a private party downstairs at this venue and want to say how good the staff were. From the door staff and bar staff all managed by a brilliant manager which made our party such a success well done.

A well-known place near Liverpool Street, with a fascinating history and a typical London pub atmosphere, with rivers of beer and lots of noise. In addition to the bar, it offers typical London cuisine of reasonable quality. Worth visiting especially for the history, which I don't want to spoil ;-)

Very typical, it is not big and it is not for eating

Had such a great time at this bar! We came in around 3 pm and did not leave until 11. Make sure you ask for Sarah - she was such a wonderful server and we had a blast with her.

Nice old pub popped in with friends for a swift drink whilst record shop hopping shared a pot of chips which were real crispy and warmed the cockles from that cold day on Friday Shame about my Coffee taking about as much time as popping to Colombia and back to get it ..but it was nice and she did swirl a heart on the top of it ...and to be fair they don't usually do coffee ....

Near Liverpool Street Station and looking for food you can't go far wrong with Dirty Dicks. I had a Chicken Roast and my Dad had the Pork Roast which we both enjoyed very much, along with nicely cooked Veggies, Roast Potatoes and as good a Yorkshire Pudding you could expect Drinks and food are reasonably priced and nice relaxed atmosphere which would suit couples or groups visiting London So if you near Liverpool Street Station and stuck for a nice to chill and eat in you should check Dirty Dicks out and see what you think

Great atmosphere. Great old school looking pub with historic vibes. Cocktail bar downstairs and restaurant upstairs which we tried. Arguably the best burger I've had in the south east. Even the regular burgers are loaded up with flavour. Cheese, caramelised onion, tomato and all sorts. The waitress was so polite and attentive to an allergy I have too. Good selection of beers, ales and cocktails. Will definitely be dropping in again when up this way.

I came here because I wanted to eat Sunday roast. When I went there around 12:00, I saw two scary-looking guys standing at the entrance, which scared me, but they kindly asked me to go to the second floor. The first floor was noisy because there were a lot of people standing and drinking, probably because it was a bar, but there was no one on the second floor. The wait staff were kind and the Sunday roast was bigger than I expected, and the meat was tender and I had never tasted it before, so I wondered if it was something like that. Close to Liverpool station. The restroom was clean.

Food and service were not that great. The majority of tables were dirty and the staff wasn’t helpful in getting them cleaned.

Mi tío me presentó a Dirty Dicks, hace un par de años y me enamoré del lugar desde entonces. Era un día de cumpleaños el sábado 2 de noviembre, y el ambiente acogedor y brillante era tan fantástico como siempre. El personal era muy servicial, así como cantarme feliz cumpleaños.

It was great. I wanted something without onions in it and they went to great lengths to check the food and suggest what I could have. I ended up choosing fish and chips. The fish was fried perfectly with crispy batter.
