Very nice pub, good food, fast friendly service.

Looking for a GREAT pub??? Go check out this place. What a cool quaint pub! The fish and chips are exceptional and the beer is cold. The staff is super friendly and they know their beer! We stayed at the Como Metropolitan (The Four Seasons is across the street for point of reference) and it was literally a block away from our hotel. ENJOY!!!

The male bartender was probably the best 😒bartender 🙄 we’ve had in London. Respectful, Responsible, Caring and Understanding are not words I would use to describe the service we received from him. Helpful, Courteous, Kind.. nope still not this either. It took us a hell of a long time to pay for the service we received. I’m sure he was just having a bad day and took it out on us.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Rose and Crown. Matt was wonderful - he was so helpful in letting my husband try some beer samples - guided us well on food and was helpful in every way. This was our first trip to London and the warmth of this pub - the delicious fish and chips - dessert - outstanding staff - made it a place we would definitely recommend. The atmosphere was also very interesting.

Good was delicious, service was amazing and the atmosphere was very laid back and relaxed.

Danielle was a great server! The food was full of flavor! We hade fish marinated in Level Head beer, delicious! The order of fish is enough for 2 people. The atmosphere is dark wood giving a warm welcome.

The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was delicious and the portions were very generous, but the best part of the meal was our server, Danielle. She was an absolute delight, friendly, knowledgeable with a quick laugh and charming smile. She was the "icing on the cake" to a perfect dining experience .

The fine bar ladies (Danielle & Phoebe = LEGENDS) at this establishment have been nothing but fantastic! We have been looked after for 3 nights on the trot. We will be back!

Sensational experience. We had the meat pie and the fish and chips. Both were perfect.

Esposo tenía fletán y patatas fritas que era enorme y le ganó en cuanto al tamaño. Aquí en Londres por unos días. Volveré. Comidas a precios razonables.

Watched a Prem game here, enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was great (had one of the best burgers and draft beer was great too). Overall great experience!

So very rude. They need to also update their listing to reflect when the kitchen closes. Do not recommend. Drinks watered down. Staff unpleasant. Disappointing. Also not inclined tourists.

We were in the king's palace and in the end I had to go somewhere to eat, the food was good, but not many dishes (but that's okay), the service was really fast and the atmosphere seems from the past I give it a 10\10

Booked here for lunch with the family and they were very accommodating. Our daughter had a recent operation and was on crutches so they allowed us to change the table to make it easier for her. The Hazy Day beer and the Beef & Raclette cheese pie was just amazing (great recommendation by the manageress). It’s a Green King pub, but this was on their specials menu. Easy access on the main road, not far from Green Park station and a short walk from Hyde Park if you’re out for the day.

Ayer fuimos a pedir un menú y nos dijeron que estaban en las mesas, así que pedimos bebidas y nos sentamos. Fuimos a pedir comida y nos dijeron “lo siento cocina cerrada sin personal” bien, pero esto pasó una y otra vez varias personas pidiendo bebidas, entonces para que se les diga que no hacen comida! Los menús se reemplazaban continuamente en las mesas... ¿Era esta estratagema sólo para seguir sirviendo al menos una copa a todos? Lo veo como mezquino. En un positivo nos mudamos a The Back Room justo enfrente y tuvimos una comida fabulosa y un gran servicio sin duda volveremos allí.

4 star as the atmosphere is very friendly. There is a wide selections of drinks to go from. Not too pricey. But the food took an inordinate amount of time. We ordered chips and garlic bread but it took an hour. Amazing place. But needs to hire more staff.

Service, dog-friendly, lovely atmosphere & would have given 5 stars but the loaded nachos were slightly underwhelming. But otherwise a real gem in Mayfair

Beautiful pub and pleasant food, the atmosphere seems to be in a lord's pub due to the quietness inside.

We have NEVER had such a bad food experience as we had here last night. We had booked a table for 8 and were told on arrival (on time) that it had 'gone'. No explanation. We were offered high tables where we could sit in 2’s or 3’s!!. As one of our groups was disabled we needed an ordinary height table. A lovely couple with a new born baby very kindly heard our plight & offered to move. Once we were seated we quickly chose our food as by now we had been there half an hour. Orders taken, all seemed good until most of the choices we made were no longer available. No Hake, no squid, no fish - chips, basically only beef pie, burgers with cheese & the oddest chicken Kiev (more like KFC) I've ever seen were available! None of us really fancied these but by now it was 9.15 pm and we had been there 45 minutes!!. Food arrived at 9.45pm which when you book a table for 8.30pm is very late to start eating. Quite frankly we weren't expecting much but we all left most of our food as it was very poor quality, and not what we wanted. No healthier options on the menu at all.

Rose and Crown served one of the best pub experiences during our London stay. Arrived in the afternoon and upon asking about a beer, instead of a description we received a sample. The staff was super amazing and very friendly all the way. In the evening we returned for a round two for dinner, the food was fresh and juicy, the serving was also relatively fast. Highly recommend visiting this gem, especially for history lovers, as there're some great stuff going on around here!

Navalle, nuestro servidor era genial. El servicio fue genial y fue muy divertido hablar con él. Nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos a Londres.

A cozy and classic pub from the 17th century. We ate the steak and ale pie, which was fantastically good. As a beer fan, I tasted some new varieties. Can really recommend a visit if you are passing by

A nice pub close to the well-known street. Piccadilly in London. There is a large selection of beers, all well chilled, of course. As usual in a pub, the atmosphere is direct. Cleanliness may not be the highest, but it's not a hospital after all. Whoever drinks beer has to go to the toilet sooner or later. Here, you have to go down quite steep stairs to the men's toilet, and it's easy to get into trouble. But regulars don't seem to have a problem with it. After 2 beers, I managed too and I can say that my very successful few-day stay in London had a good ending, because in a pub. They say that being in London and not going to a pub is almost a sin...

This is a nice 17th century pub in Mayfair, the prices do reflect the location, £6.30 for a nice IPA. Their cask selection was limited to two. They do offer standard pub grub e.g. fish and chips at £18.75. This is what I call a traditional pub with a lot of dark wood panelling. They also have an upstairs bar. They show the usual live sports and from 8th November live karaoke on a fortnightly basis (as well as other events). Being a Greene King pub they do offer the double up for £3, e.g. single Buffalo Trace £8.40, double £11.40. The service was good. A nice pub to visit.

It is a nice and friendly pub with great service and good food.I got a chance to try their specials which was suggested to us by Rohan and the recommendation was to the expectation. Would definitely recommend to visit this cozy pub.

We stopped in for a pint and ended up having several, along with lunch. The fish n' chips special was fantastic! The atmosphere is definitely an old-school local pub with friendly people, great food, and fast drinks. This is a place that we will definitely be back to.

The food is delicious in very affordable proportions for its price. The atmosphere is very calm, as very educated people come simply to watch sports. And the attention in this case from Nebal (sorry if it is not spelled that way) has been perfect, friendly and even playing around with Spanish. Without a doubt a beautiful chance in life to have fallen into this place ❤️

We went at noon for lunch and were served by Nebal who was excellent! A very nice person who made our time very happy, the food on the other hand was very delicious, and the bathrooms were clean and in good condition. We would definitely return

Yesterday I had the most delightful lunch at Rose and Crown! The pie experience was out of this world, especially the chicken and beef specials recommended by duty manager Ali .absolutely amazing 👏 10 out of 10! I'm coming today as well...!!

Popped in here merely out of convenience (since my hotel was nearby) and was amazed by the awesome hospitality shown by Beyoncé and her team!

Great food! The daily specials are just the greatest, you have to be early to catch them tho.

My wife and I dropped in one lunchtime for a drink as we were early for lunch at the Lanesborough Hotel. The welcome was so good and the aircon excellent that we went back the next day for lunch. Beyoncé was amazingly welcoming and efficient and the food (duck hash and halibut and chips followed by chocolate caramel slice and ice-cream) far better than our usual experience of pub grub. Truly a very enjoyable experience. Totally different from a 5 star hotel but equally good in its own way. Well done to all - especially Beyoncé.

We found this pub by chance and what a great find it was, firstly being welcomed by the lovely Beyoncé who could not do anymore for us, then the food was amazing the burger was to die for so juicy along with mouthwatering (what I call proper) onion rings! We love music so when the volume was turned up the place buzzing, definitely recommend a visit

I can’t explain how extremely HORRIBLE AND DISAPPOINTING my experience at this pub was today. Got to the pub around 12:20 for a “famous” British Sunday Roast. Waited nearly an hour for a totally inedible meal to finally arrive at the table. Picture provided. Provided was, two very very small thin slices of roast beef that was so over cooked and tough I couldn’t even chew it!, no fluffy roast potatoes as advertised- they were cold in the middle and were definitely not roasted! The cauliflower cheese has a horrible rancid taste, the gravy is straight out of a tin of powder and the cabbage was overly charred (nearly black) on the outside while being cold in the centre (god only knows how that was achieved!). And the highly anticipated Yorkshire Pudding stone cold! Four tables, while I was there, complained about the very slow service, with some patrons telling me they were also tourist and had booking they feared they were going to miss (boat trips/theatre tickets etc!!!) I’m so very sad to say DO NOT go to this cute pub. I LOVE London and get here as often as I can, but OMG THIS was really really REALLY BAD. So very disappointing. Ps: I did not complain but rather just walked out as the poor staff were having enough irate customers to deal with! I even watched one poor young staff member having to walk outside just to get a break from the place. Sad for her as management has definitely let the customers and staff down!

Ordered 2 Sunday dinners, a chicken and a beef. My wife and daughter (2) who were sharing the chicken dinner left virtually all of the chicken due to it being brown under the skin and a little tough (over cooked??), the vegetables and potato’s were cold. Lady that served us was polite and friendly, drinks were ok, but the food was poor.

Visited this pub on a Wednesday evening, there was a nice chilled atmosphere. Tucked into the Rose & Crown Burger which was nice classic burger with a great addition of a tender piece of pork belly. Shout out to the team on shift (James, Beyoncé and Sam). Great, attentive service!

I just popped in for a quick cocktail. The have all the usual beers but a very limited cocktail menu. Staff was super nice but they're skill is limited to what's on the menu. Atmosphere is super neat. Did eat any food so you'll have to see what other say about it.

Cosy and very old pub restaurant just a short walk from Hyde Park. Tasty food. We had fish and chips and the salmon and cheddar fish cakes.

When ordering at the bar they were out of fish and chips and Mac and cheese. Which were the only dishes we wanted to order. We did find alternates and they were decent. The staff were wonderful and the drinks were great! Recommend the Raspberry Tom Collins’s

Fabulous little English pub in Mayfair, very conveniently situated near Hyde Park, so perfect for a beer & snack. Friendly staff, and our sandwich was delightful.

Fine old English pub. Not many around these days and this one oozes the days gone by. Great ale and beers, decent food.

I came here last night with my friends to have dinner and drinks. And I had my bag stolen by a customer inside the restaurant, even though it was kept safely under my jacket on my chair. I am so upset that this could happen in an area like Mayfair and in a restaurant that wasn’t even too crowded to begin with. The bag had my wallet and other personal effects in it and the thief has made some crazy transactions using my cards. The staff at the bar tried to be as helpful as possible but I think implementing security at this bar would be a wise and much needed next step. Just leaving this review here as a cautionary tale for anyone trying to visit pubs and restaurants in this area.

Not a word from the waiter, not a glance, he did not deign to take our order, even though he passed by us several times, after 30 minutes we left, we did not even have the 'opportunity to have a coke, too bad I would have tasted the Sunday's roast

Nice place - decent beer but tends to get invaded by bug crowds of people late afternoons.

The service was ambivalent and disinterested . The staff were insouciant and arrogant almost to the point of being hostile. They clearly did not want to be there and for almost £7 a pint you would expect it to be better.

We came here Christmas Eve in 2008 from USA. The owners let us join them with their family and employees for dinner. It was a highlight of our trip. We are coming back in August and can't wait to stop back in. Is it the same owners?

We came in here because the wait at the hard Rock Cafe was over an hour. The friendly lady greeted us and let us settle down. We chose steak and ale pie with triple cooked chips and a Korean bbq chicken burger with chips. A pint of cider and a j20 came to £40. The food took quite a while to arrive, just over 30 minutes and the pub was not busy. The chips weren't very nice but everything else was ok. The pub is a very old pub, over 400 years, but it didn't seem to show any original features off. Overall it was ok but could of been a lit better.. thanks for replying. Ill pop in next time I'm up.

I have great affection for this place. I used to go here when I was in my 20's cos I worked around the corner i had many lock ins here and my friends used to work here. I visited on a trip down memory lane last week. The boy behind the bar couldn't have been any slower. London has changed since covid the suites no longer fill the place at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Just a few tourists.

Lunch in London. Just off the bottom of park lane. Nice setting. Clean, greeted on arrival. Standard Greene King menu. Kaz who served was good, bit of history about the place. Seemed busy which is a good sign. Ordered a chicken sharer, fries, cokes and waters. Food was well presented, well cooked. Drinks were good. Price is very reasonable for London. Thanks to Kaz and the team for ensuring it all was good and we had all we needed. May try the roast next time. 5 star

Nice pub, but there was an unpleasant situation. I got up from the table literally behind a napkin, leaving my things at the table, and a bartender girl with dark hair immediately removed my pint of cider. when I approached her to find out where my cider was, she impudently replied that she had taken it and to my request to pour a new one, since it was not even touched, she was rude to me and charged me for a new one. not a very pleasant situation, although I really liked this pub before this situation.

A lovely 400 year old pub slightly off the beaten track. A great selection of beers and attentive staff. No food was ordered. £32 for 5 drinks. 1pm and it was sort of busy. Pub 2 of the Monopoly tour... maybe crawl?
