Couldn’t fault it staff friendly and attentive food lovely service very prompt there were four of us and we all had something different

Amazing food, drinks and experience as always last night. Our favourite Italian Restaurant in the area. Staff and managers can’t do enough for you 👍🏼. Would highly recommend to anybody and it’s so reasonably priced aswell with great portion sizes. Look forward to coming back real soon! 🍾😋🍝

We were a party of 4 adults and 3 children to celebrate a birthday. We ate very well and the service was excellent. The children are difficult to feed normally but they all enjoyed the pizzas. They are light and tasty - and we brought home what they did not finish. We also order stroganoffs and a Sunday lunch, and we were all more than satisfied. We were welcomed to bring our birthday cake in, which came to the table with happy birthday in the sound system and the restaurant singing. We had a great time, great food, excellent service and the price was more than reasonable. Congratulations to Jose and Lesley for having such a great establishment.

We enjoyed a lovely home cooked roast dinner, plenty of meat and fresh veg and very willing to accommodate dietary needs (we emailed in advance), small and cosy venue with friendly staff, we will return

This is probably one of the best Italians in hull, its very local to me and me and my family have been numerous times. For starters I had mozzerella dough balls and they were beautiful, the best ive ever had 100%, they came in excellent time and customer service throughout was good. For my main course i had pizza, garlic bread and chips to share, the pizza was amazing and fresh, as was the garlic bread, and the chips were nice too, everyone i was with loved their food and as we are local expect to see me regularly.

I didn't book at the table we were just passing by, but we were well-accommodated and satiated with 2 quality meals, of respective Italian and English cuisine. Quality food. Good prompt service.

Have visited this restaurant several times and always have an outstanding experience. Caters for gluten free and dairy free dietary requirements and tastes absolutely delicious. The staff are always welcoming with excellent service. There is a also an extensive choice of drinks available. Will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent starters, but my main was bland and way under seasoned. Not the best service either- no offer of parmesan or pepper, and nobody came to ask if we wanted more drinks. Staff seemed much more busy fawning over the old couple who came in a Rollls Royce

What a lovely little family run restaurant! We were there for a get-together of old work colleagues. We were made to feel welcome and very well looked after for the whole evening. Our lovely Italian food was served in good time and everyone enjoyed their choice of dish. I would highly recommend this gem of a venue for a casual meal or a special celebration. Thank you so much.

First time here, and will definitely be back. The young lad that served us was great (sorry we should have asked your name). Food was lovely and large portions. Perfect evening.

Mediocre at best. Starters are overpriced for the quality and quantity and cost almost as main meals. No salad on the menu as well?! I had the prosciutto pizza which the topping looked and tasted more like ham than prosciutto, whilst the dough tasted bland. Wife got the mushroom risotto which to be fair was delicious. Atmosphere was OK, but quite loud. There was a party the day we booked, so can't blame the restaurant for that, but the could have notify us that there was an event happening as the atmosphere wasn't ideal for couples that night. Waiters we polite, friendly and well mannered. However, we were asked 4 times by 4 different waiters if we liked the food! Once is fine to be asked and from the waiter that serves you, but 4 times is started getting annoying... Lastly, their carbonara dish is made with bacon and cream... That's how college students make it, not Italians. The restaurant seriously lacks Italian authenticity.

We decided to try the roast beef Sunday lunch and pre ordered our beef as requested, we found the meal to be not well prepared, it came on a dish/plate swimming in gravy with no option to pour your own. The meat was tough and fatty around the edges, new potatoes where gritty to eat, like they hadn’t been washed, the one half of carrot and the three green beers were of very different textures. Overall not as expected as evening Italian has always been very good. We felt the standard in service has changed, young people flossing their hair at the bar side with long nails, observed pouring drinks and wiping hands on their trousers. (Feel infection control can be better for food service and handling plates for allergens) All Italian meals have been good on an evening, however the Sunday lunch and service is a lot to be desired.

Visited this restaurant just two days before Christmas. The restaurant is cosy, warm and intimate. We had a starter of spicy tomato bread to share which was more than sufficient for the two of us. The mains of chicken in a rich tomato sauce and rice dish were delicious and my partner loved her dish too. It was a delicious tasting meal served up with great service with warm and welcoming hosts. We will be back!

Eaten here tonight ...wow the food and service was incredible..we opted for a garlic bread mozerella capriese,king prawn filo. Venison and straganoff..all were stunning ..

Food is just okay, but nothing special. Staff and atmosphere are good. If I'd of got some of the meals others had got I think I'd have walked out hungry.

If you want the personal touch and attentive service come here!! Celebrated my daughters birthday and the service/ambience couldn't have been better. Table was decorated before we arrived, drinks/food all arrived quickly all of very high quality (compliments to the chef!) and the whole round service and experience was second to none. A surprise birthday cake came out with candles and happy birthday playing and they even went to the trouble of cutting the cake into equal pieces and served it with cream and a smile!!! Full marks to Lesley and the staff for a very personal/professional service ALL staff members were polite, attentive and friendly and they made my daughter feel special as she celebrated her special day. Our second visit to this lovely little restaurant. Always busy with a great atmosphere. Very cosy and inviting, we love table 12. The owners are extremely hard working and friendly, as are all the staff. We suggested that perhaps more veg to order as side dishes would be a good idea. Will definitely be back. Sunday lunch, two of us had chicken, one had beef and one pork. It was hot and tasty. However, too much gravy, my pork was swimming in gravy. Also, stuffing would have been nice with the chicken and pork.

Don’t often review but this place is a real gem. Great good and super staff at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit.

The proprietor gave us a warm welcome on arrival at this small family run restaurant. The Pollo e Funghi was delicious, as was the Sea bass and Prawn rissotto. The service was very attentive. The manager was happy to light our supplied indoor firework fountain on our 21st year old's pudding, as well as unprompted play the happy birthday tune. It was marvellous. All the restaurant sang along! The birthday boy was truly moved. The homemade Tiramisu was a delight. A great birrhday lunch. I would strongly recommend it.

We went for my son's 16th birthday, it come highly recommended so we tried it definitely go back food was amazing, we all had different and was all very tasty. From walking in the door to leaving the service was brilliant we was not made to feel like strangers it was very welcoming.

Went for a family meal here during the week. As the menu has not been changed for some time (we have been several times before) I opted for a vegetarian meal, which was very nice and I enjoyed it. My husband on the other hand, chose the spaghetti bolognese, which to be honest, looked quite mean. Pasta is a cheap commodity, but the portion size was considerably mean. Looked like a tomato based sauce had been put on top of the pasta, with very little meat in it. He was disappointed. Likewise, my daughter in law also opted for a pasta dish, and although she enjoyed it, again the portion size was considerably mean. Im comparing this to previous meals we have had here, so I don't think there can be any excuse for extremely small portions. The price paid was not exactly what I would call value for money for a basic pasta dish. Also, my husband did not get the last drink he ordered, but as we were not charged for this, then we were not bothered. We did find the service a little slow on this occasion, considering it was a week night. All in all, I think we will be giving this place a miss in future, which is a shame.

The loveliest little family run business and the best Italian restaurant in the area. We go regularly for cosy meals out but recently went to get a celebratory tiramisu for my daughters GCSE results. 10/10! Could not recommend more.

Came here with my parents this weekend and loved every minute. The restaurant itself is cosy and authentic. The staff are lovely and the food was some of the best Italian I've ever eaten... and I've been to Rome!

We went for a meal on Saturday and I can highly recommend the food, also the excellent service. Well worth a visit and we shall certainly go again.

Our first time at this restaurant we risked a walk and we’re made very welcome. The restaurant has a cheerful friendly ambiance , tables are well spaced promoting a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Our meals were very attractively presented, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Menus are extensive, there was a specials board and gluten free menu, giving a very good selection of dishes to choose from. We were told other allergies can be accommodated if the servers are notified of any issues. We will certainly look forward to dining here again! Thank you for our delicious lunch!

Very friendly helpful staff, loverly food with great service

Amore is not a big restaurant. You need to book. But, it is totally worth it. The atmosphere was marvellous and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Definitely will be going back again.

We came as a family of five, the food was lovely and the staff were really friendly. We couldn’t finish so they boxed up our food for us which was great. We had a mix of pizza and pasta and they were all cooked perfectly, I would recommend the mozzarella balls as a starter they were amazing!

We booked a table for 6 of us for Sunday dinner, everyone ordered beef. 2 was sent back as the meat was quite fatty, the staff changed them no problems. The vegetables that accompanied the meat is not very good, infact it has gone downhill since we last visited, shame really as we have used here a few times. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon. Maybe they're thinking of money more now!

Been a few times and really enjoyed the Sunday dinner but it has gone downhill a bit since last time we visited. 6 of us had the roast beef dinner, 2 was sent back as the beef was quite fatty, not a great selection of vegetables neither. Maybe it was an off day. Atmosphere was pretty quiet too. Hopefully it improves.

Had the most amazing meals, everything was beautifully cooked and the presentation was second to none. Wine and coffee first class. Wonderful hosts Jose and Lesley.

Only visited twice with quite a gap between, once for dinner, once more recently for lunch. Very pleased to find the same high standard. Ticked all my boxes: Cleanliness, quality, selection. Compliments to the staff, the service was friendly but not overpowering and whoever is cooking the food really knows what they are doing. One of my favourite restaurants, should go more often really.

We’ve just been for Sunday lunch and it was delicious. Hubby had chicken in vodka sauce followed be strawberry and champagne cheesecake and I had Sunday roast followed by Gelato Affugato, both meals beautifully cooked with high quality ingredients. Pleasant staff, lovely atmosphere and great food. We’ll be back!

We live in Kent and was taken to this restaurant by friends. What can I say from entering to leaving we were made to feel extremely welcome. The menu was impressive with an abundance of choice. The food (once chosen) was absolutely delicious. I could not recommend this restaurant enough it’s an absolute little gem and I wish we had it on our doorstep.

We came here spontaneously for dinner, we made a last minute reservation 10 mins before arrival. We were accommodated and despite every table being full with a large celebration, our food came very promptly. All four girls working on the shop floor managing the customers were remarkable. A little gem in Willerby. We will be coming here again especially for the panna cotta.
