Thame Fried Chicken in South Oxfordshire

Used to be excellent value but prices have increased hugely, takes longer to deliver than used to, and closes by 9pm on a Friday night. Add to this £3 delivery charge for a 3 minute drive... Used to order a lot but won't any more I'm afraid.

We order our food from you guys all the time but tonight I have to say our chicken and our chicken wings was luck rubber, they ended up in the bin

Always have chicken on a Friday last 2 weeks chicken has been cold and stale flakey buns seems to have been sat a long time as chips were hot gone downhill unfortunately back to fish and chips

Really hate to put down local take ways ( businesses) as in the trade myself .. but absolutely disgusted with what I actually received tonight .. it was terrible, cold beans , they forgot the fries ( good job probably) , chicken was cold and soggy . Anyway I decide to call the manager 😂😂 Really ? She couldn’t run a bath . Couldn’t believe that anyone would actually let a muppet like that try and run a decent otherwise business . For a so called manager to laugh on the phone when your telling them that what they’ve given me is embarrassing?? … good luck team , get rid of that absolute simple idiot and get back up and running a quality business please .. I’ll actually pop in there tomorrow and see if she’s so mouthy face to face .. sack her Russel , terrible .

I had a chicken burger, the chicken was dry and chewy, with a few bits of shredded lettuce and onion in a very unappealing bun. Not worth the money

The staff are so friendly and welcoming and always have time to ask after you, however busy they are. The chicken is really juicy, tasty and crispy and consistent. The portion sizes are great too. Nothing is too much trouble, and everything is always on time. My family and I look forward to a takeaway from here at least twice a month. I hope in the future the online app is able to remember card details, as it’s a pain entering them each and every time.

Tried this place after getting a flyer from the kebab van. Loved the set up, good App to download. I had a box meal which was great quality & too much for me to eat in one go. I do hope TFC is a success.

This was my first visit. The premises are very clean, staff well dressed and polite, I ordered Number 6 meal, Spicy Chicken Fillet Burger. We ordered two meals, simple order that took 9 minutes to prepare, this is supposed to be fast food? well I guess compared to 50 minutes at the kebab van last week, yes it's fast, but compared to branded chains, No! this pretty slow. On checking the burger, the fillet was very large and appeared to be good value, nice looking bun and nice fries, however the sandwich was bland , salty and tasteless. Whilst appearance of the food was good it was a labour to eat the burger, this has to be the worst tasting Chicken fillet burger I have ever eaten , and spicy? it was not spicy or tasting of anything at all except very salty. I would have been happier with a fillet half the size but breaded with some spices or herbs, quality beats quantity.

Have used TFC a few times. The food quality is really good, friendly service and reasonable pricing.

The chicken portions are big, juicy and the coating is tasty. Ordering was easily done over the telephone with payment on collection.

Absolutely blown away with how clean and friendly this place is! Located in Thame car park. Opens at 6pm. I arrived at 6:20pm and there was already about 5 people being served and 6 people behind me in the Queue. Just goes to show how loved this place is! Staff clearly have a routine that works well around one another. You can tell they all have set roles and everything just flows so perfectly as I was watching them work whilst I was waiting for my food and everyone was working so hard yet so effortlessly. George (I believe his name was) took my order and he was the most professional and polite person I think I’ve ever come across! Greeted me, told me to have a lovely meal... and it’s always been the same in every visit. These little things go a long way! Didn’t wait long for food, They clearly call out your name when your order is very and the order has always been repeated back to me. When I arrived home your names written on the box’s which obv helps the kitchen not mess up food. Been here a few times now, and having moved into the area only a year ago, many people have mentioned this place being the best place, and award winning place to get a kebab! Been here a few times now and it’s that good I felt the need to leave a review! The van is absolutely immaculate. Good hygiene rating is a 5. Good value for money. Really am shocked at some of the previous comments as I can’t fault this place in anyway. It is absolutely IMMACULATE, literally can’t believe how clean everything is! Perfect team there selling amazing food! Thank you!

Made our first visit when TFC opened. Soggy chips and the batter on the boneless chicken strips was so salty that they were impossible to eat. Gave them a second chance only to find on our arrival home that our order was wrong and the chips were soggy and the gravy order was barely warm. Gave them a third try, on Tuesday, order was for 6 chicken strips, got 6 chicken nuggets. Gravy again was only just warm. The two pieces of chicken were so dry and over cooked that my husband gave up after the first piece. The only saving grace were the chips. Beautifully hot and very crispy. On the second visit the staff were friendly but more than a little interested in what was on the telly.

Have used TFC a few times since it opened. The service is always fast and friendly - the staff take the time to make conversation. Their chicken is nicely flavoured and tastes fresh. Good value for money.

Returned home and missing items from the order. Staff made it very difficult to resolve the problem, I had only been to pick my order up 5 minutes earlier, I was the only one in the place and they couldn’t find my order details even though I ordered on the website. They made it impossible for me to resolve the problem so our family were not only left hungry but out of pocket also. Won’t be using them any more as I told them but they didn’t seem too worried. I’ll drive 10 minutes further and get a kfc next time, cheaper and tastier.

A long overdue addition to Thame. These folks know what they’re doing when it comes to food. Tasty, quick and very reasonable.

Tucked away in Swan Walk, just by the car park in Thame, is the most delicious fried chicken shop. Scrupulously clean, excellent quality and super friendly service. This is not your typical fast food takeaway but it certainly touches the spot after a night out or for a tasty lunchtime snack. Go in search of it and you won’t be disappointed.

Really nice little takeaway. Nicely flavoured chicken that’s not too far off KFC for flavour and menu. Pleasant surroundings but not very big. There are only two tables for eating in, but there again this is not the sort of place you would hang around...
