pop inn last sunday ask for 2 kebabs and he turn the machine on just to pretent i was giving fresh kebab but he gives us the old kebab very dry and not taste .wont go there again

I come here roughly once a month. When it's good it's good, but a couple of times there has been a strange taste to the meat. Normally purchase a regular lamb doner. Lately I have noticed that the portion has become smaller.

staff full of him. talk to you nauseously. I respectfully asked for the salad to be placed separately from the meat because that's how I like it. him saying that I have to pay extra. I said that i doesn't want extra salad and that the salad he puts on top of the meat to be put separately. finally he put it (a slice of cucumber, half a slice of tomato and a little 3 onion leaves and a little salad. Is the salad that expensive? 🤦‍♂️I asked for garlic sauce and it was a little sour too. The salt was looking like is been there for for few days not fresh at all. Same as meet. and I think about what I paid 8 pounds for. 🤷 ♂️

Yet another disgusting kebab. U are rated .4 better than Didcot kebabs but are no way near as good. Only ordered from u because Didcot kebabs are closed on a Tuesday…… Why did I bother! Not just bad it’s inedible!

Got an extra large lamb doner and it was amazing. A lot of food and presented very well. Would definitely be back.

I went into the shop and ordered a large mixed doner, chicken nuggets and chips and a portion of onion rings. When I arrived home and got the food out the onion rings were missing. I called them and explained the situation however they were adamant that the onion rings were in the bag. I can confirm there’s only 2 boxes neither containing onion rings. They did nothing to help and then eventually put the phone down on me! I usually love Istanbul the food is always good but tonight’s service was absolutely shocking at to be completely honest it has put me off of going there for a while.

Just wanted some large chips(4£), but I believe he misunderstood the order… that’s not Large in a million years…I’m not going there again for sure…

Ordered online. Meal was ready within 10 mins. When I collected it, all staff were very friendly, said Hi, goodbye and hoped I enjoyed my food and to have a good evening. Portions are a good size for the money and very tasty. I would have liked a little bit more chicken for my regular size shish but, it was still worth the £7.50 paid. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

After having to wait for my colleague to walk up and down the street reading Google reviews on what’s the be place to eat, I can happily after having sat in the van for almost 30 minutes my mixed kebab and chips from here was still piping hot, the flavours clearly infused together making this the best kebab I’ve ever eaten! Food is great I've been going here 15 years but this is the smallest portion I've ever had it supposed to be extra largee the picture is after I removed salad I'd say go to deniz kebabs this is just ridiculous wouldn't feed my child

Had lamb doner, more flavour in a piece of bread. The man was rushed and seemed like he was upset when I asked him the cut a wrap in half for the kids.

Kebab is as good as any. But fake prices in the menu are the worst. You have to add £1 to every price for some reason...

Excellent staff . Clean food .tasty and consistent. Nice quality Generous portions . Always fresh salad andVery fairly priced . What more could you want . Everyone's helpful . They dont rush and give you anything that's not correct. Even when busy fresh chips . Bread meat ect . Thanks

Worst kebab tonight in a long time. Lamb meat really dry and salads were measly portions. Prices up and quality down. Never very good when the boss isn't around. Standards dropping heavily

Ordered online for a specific time as I was driving home. Collecting dinner on way through. When I got there it had already been cooked 30 mins ago so was cold when I got home. The portion size was rubbish. Not what expect for an £11 combo kebab… hardly any sauce on it either. Wouldn’t order again.

Ordered an XL chicken doner kebab for £11.50. Get home and find the portion size was a micky take and a total rip off. Ordered my other half a medium chicken doner and the portion was the same. Chicken was stone cold aswell. Avoid Istanbul kebab to save yourself getting ripped off.

Why a £1 surcharge for ordering online. No thanks.

AVOID AT ALL COST!! First and last time trying! Terrible hygiene, very Rude, aggressive & racist staff. TINY portions, disgusting meat, old brown salad. Honestly the worst takeaway place I’ve ever been. Place needs shutting down

Very Disappointed, the prices have gone up by a ridiculous amount, i had a small chicken shish and asked for it on chips instead of pitta (usually this is an option in most kebab shops), a small chicken shish costs £7.50, i was charged £10 for having it on chips, i won't be going here again, i will find another kebab shop

Looked ok, friendly. Large Doner kebab was not so large but the real problem was it was luke warm and cold by the time I was home. I had to lift the salad off and microwave it. Tasted stale after that. Edit: I always make a point of writing my reviews before reading others (unless I research first) and amazed to see common themes.

I ordered a chicken kebab and 95% of the chicken was raw! I will not be eating from here again. Has put me off for life!

The portions were not very big at all. Price not reflecting that. Higher than we are used to. Paid £18 for just 2 kebabs. Nothing special about the taste. Did the job but not the best.

Pitta and salad was good but doner meat was very dry bearing in mind it was Saturday night so I would expect them to be cutting fresh meat frequently. Almost no sauce didn't help. Pretty poor kebab. Photos are an XL doner. Had much better for £9.50.

Ordered on the phone they messed up the order putting the wrong toppings on the 2 different kebabs. When I phoned and explained they said come back down, I arrived explained again he said can’t you just pick the lettuce off and was generally very rude. Won’t be using them again as I do not find this to be good customer service. Food very bland

Kebab was cold and I bought XL, but it looked like medium or even small. Overall I was not satisfied and would not come back.

Great quality home made donner, fresh salad, super soft tasty Pitta, and chunky lean meat. Love going for a monthly treat, there are others in the area but don’t bother, they can’t compete. Clean premises the boss keeps an eye on the quality. Glad they don’t deliver as I might not ever cook

Absolutely love the food. The kebabs are always delicious with lots of veg toppings on top. The naan breads always taste fresh and the service is amazing.

Their kababs are delicious and freshly made every time we go to pick up our orders. Didcot’s best Turkish kababs for sure!

I order some food tonight a i was very disappointing as I ordered on line I ordered a burger double and only got a single £5.00? Really I ordered a extra large for £14.00 and it looked like a medium one really? And also I said I want salad and I got no salad and I said no pickle I got pickles I also ordered 2 strawberry cheesecake I didn’t get my 2 cheesecake but I was charged for them you give me some other cake that’s looked awful I don’t think I can eat it because the look of it as put me off if you do not have a item they you should give a fund

The guys there are really friendly and are doing a great job at the minute. The kebabs are also really tasty!

At the top of town on the Broadway,and they serve a very good kebab. The combination ones are very good as are the others. They also serve burgers and what you would expect from a Turkish takeaway. They are not on Just Eat so you will have to pop in and see the guys, but the central location won't make this an issue. Guys are friendly and very welcoming. Don't take care payments assi will need cash.

Used on and off for few years, food now consistently average to poor. Pitta breads are tough, chips poor standard. Meats ok. Salads seem fresh and good variety but...recently had illness directly after having a chicken wrap...can't prove it was this but hadn't eaten since breakfast and had symptoms, within 2hrs of eating the wrap, which lasted 3 days.... can't think about returning.

Now if you are in the Didcot area this the best place to have the most tasty kebab,s you have ever had. Cooked on open grill and to perfection. Their chilly salsas are for. Go and enjoy

This has gone downhill vastly and badly. Just got a kebab from there again after they messed it up everytime before and portions are small and the meat is dry and tasteless. Asked for sauce and got a miniscule amount. Wouldn't recommend these to anyone I'll be going back to deniz kebabs on Abbott road next time.

They do amazing burgers. Bit if a long wait sometimes... But at least you know it's cooked there and then for you.

I have been using them for an occasional kebab over many years and have always found them consistently good. I use the grilled chicken, lots of salad, & pita bread, a nice healthy option for a takeaway. Ring them first and they will get it ready for you.

A large Donna and a large chicken. 6.50 and 7.50.Donna had about 2 quid max meat in It and was cold when got home 1 minute later . Kebab van in Wallingford always hot when get home 5 miles after getting it and is a full kebab.four times more meat for a large compared to the Istanbul. Worst kebab shop I've had anywhere in Britain I've ever been

New decor is great but new staff not friendly and struggle to communicate. Portions are smaller and waiting times are bigger... poor overall

Most definately the best place to eat in didcot. The new place is also good, but i prefer the taste of this place. I detect the lamb and chicken being of a slightly better quality. Keep up the sevice gents.. Chicken shish for me.
