Thai Street in Norwich

Really poor since Dee left. Bought food tonight, chicken veg rice now has zero veg, the broccoli in the pad pak had black slimy bits and the whole dish was full of black metal bits presumably from a pan, small and larger pieces of shiny metal pan coating. Completely inedible and so disappointing. Called and couldn’t even get the person to understand what I was talking about and eventually gave up. This place used to be great but avoid now!

We have tried many of the Thai restaurants in Norwich over the years and this has been the best by far. We enjoyed it more than the more expensive well known Thai in Norwich. Amazingggg!

I turned up at 10 past 2 after they supposedly opened at 2pm l, however the door remained locked. After attracting the attention of the staff, I was, reluctantly it seemed, let in. When I requested to eat in, where there are tables and chairs provided for presumably doing so, I was immediately told additional an additional 10% would apply, which I understand, but the tone was abrupt. Generally I didn’t feel welcome. The lights weren’t switched on and the portion was extremely small. The food barely covered half of the plate, and served with no with no napkins, plus I had to ask for two water twice. Unfortunately the rather negative experience outweighs the foods good flavour. Overall, I think it was poor value for money and I won’t return.

Broken website. It says they deliver within 5 miles, but after getting to the payment screen the website said they won't deliver to my postcode, even though it's only 3.7 miles by road. I tried to contact them to let them know, but their useless website won't accept any messages, the contact page just says "Unable to sent message"

This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever ordered from. The food is outstanding and the staff are very friendly.

An excellent choice for some authentic Thai food. Extremely delicious. I would 100% recommend the pad Thai and if you can handle the spice then 100% the tom yum gong. This place is truly a delicacy on the road of Magdelan street. I would really recommend this place for some people that want to find some delicious food in Norwich. You can also get it delivered to your place with any delivering website or app that you use. I already came back here a few times already 😋😋😋

I've seen it when I travel abroad and I come across a Thai restaurant, which is really satisfying. Delicious, large quantity for the price.

IF I have to be honest. Food quality and taste great. But there was nearly no meat, no chicken at all. Just a bit. Instead they put you more vegetables. If you have a choice go to the other place! they charge a lot for meal and you have like 100 gram of meat in the box. it's a joke

Great thai takeaway, certainly the best in this part of the city. Have only tried penang and gang pa so far, but both were fab - Coconut rice is highly recommended too!

Food was okay! I bought duck pancake roles for £6 and when I first got that, there were 3 pancakes.. but today once I opened it at home, there were only 2. Upon enquiry the staff told it was because of the duck being expensive.. FAIR ENOUGH! But should have informed that prior to taking the payment. Period.

So this is a reply to the admin/whoever manages the online site.. I recently visited Thai street and ordered Duck Pancake Rolls. Please note , this is not my first time buying them. Previously there used to be 3 rolls for £6 , but last time I was shocked to find only 2 for £6. I posted a review here from my other account as shown in the snip. My whole point is that ‘ IF YOU HAVE CHANGED THE QUANTITY OF A FOOD ITEM, YOU MUST ATLEAST MENTION THAT BEFORE SOMEONE PAYS FOR IT, especially when that customer already told you that she has ordered before as well. Okay. Now lets talk about the tone of this reply. Seriously! Is this how you behave with customers? I have noticed a general trend here in the replies to negative feedback. Instead of asking the customer to make the food by herself and questioning her financial ability to afford it, why don’t you learn some manners and basic customer service? Finally, you said ‘I really liked it’ ! No, I didnt.. I didnt even say that.. I said okay. There is difference in okay and good and really like. Hope you understand that difference atleast.. Also, for your kind information, those rolls were NOT BIG! They were small and thats why I felt bad ordering it for £6. I have value for my hard earned money as well. So instead of playing the sympathy ‘small business ‘ card, try selling food that is worth the money ! 😊

A cozy Thai restaurant in Norwich city center with kind and friendly staffs. I had one Pork Skewers, one Tom Yum soup and one Pad Thai. All the foods are amazing, authentic and have good value for money. I will try out Green Curry and Mango Sticky Rice next time. Great experience.

The food from Thai Street is excellent, it’s delicious and fresh. We don’t have takeaway that often but it’s easily our favourite. We ordered a three starters and two mains - everything was very yummy and not at all greasy.

Shocking service! Our delivery never turned up. It was supposed to be delivered at 20:05, we started trying to call at 20:30 to check the status, finally got through at around 20:45, they said they were waiting for their driver. It's now 21:30 and the delivery still has not turned up! AVOID!

I’ve tried this place a few times and after the first meal which was enjoyable, since then the food has been well under par. Bland noodles and oily curries. With what is available for thai food in norwich, this place isn’t cutting it for me sorry.

We’ve ordered from Thai Street quite a few times now, normally when we have people visiting, and they have delivered delicious food every time. We always try something new and have a few favourites now - love the chicken wings and the massaman curry is gorgeous every time. Love that we can get vegan options of everything too. Thank you! 🙏

Beautiful fresh food, generous portions and the front of house staff are lovely. We used a different Thai take away here in Norwich for years but decided to try this one, we are now regulars.

Great food. We had one dish from the street specials - stewed pork leg and rice. Delicious and nice to have something a bit different to normal Thai offerings. Everything was really tasty and fresh. Also appreciated the efforts to deliver out to NR14, hope they continue! 😃

I have always loved the food Thai street has provided but the service is a joke, ordered through Deliveroo and was told the food would be with me by 9pm I had to ring several times after 9pm because it hadn’t arrived and the people on the phone were very unhelpful not knowing where my order was and not caring, blaming it on Deliveroo. Eventually got the food at 10pm after I made such a fuss, if I hadn’t of argued with the woman on the phone I don’t think I would have even got the food. Deliveroo are refunding the full amount, I think Thai street need to only accept orders that they are capable of doing and don’t overstretch themselves.

Order never turned up!! We were unfortunately self isolating over New Year’s Eve so thought we’d order a takeaway. An hour after our expected delivery time, our order gets marked as “delivered” in the Deliveroo app and never actually turned up! Tried to contact them by phone but they obviously took their phone off the hook, as it’s constantly engaged! No one contacted us to sort it out or apologise. A very disappointing end to an already miserable New Year’s Eve. Hopefully Deliveroo will refund our money.

Good food but terrible delivery / timings. I had a call an hour and a half after our order was placed (30-40 mins after it was meant to arrive) to say they didn’t know if they’d sent our order out or not (it amounted to close to £80 as we had guests staying). They then apologised and said that food would be with us within 20 mins as there was some internal error. Over an hour later it arrived. It arrived Almost 3 hours after the order was originally placed. No part refund or even consolation food for apology to make up for the error. We were livid. Guests had to leave, as they had children that had to go to bed. I tried calling to complain, no one would answer the call the entire evening. I reported to Deliveroo. Again, they couldn’t do anything because the restaurant do their own deliveries. This is not the first time this has happened. Food is ALWAYS later than it states. The restaurant should not accept orders if they are too busy or unable to fulfil as they just waste peoples time. Food is good but delivery / customer service has been absolutely terrible.

We are eat very often from here,specifically the fried egg rice with mushrooms and prawns and all I want to say is that the best in City and everything worth the price. I highly recommend.

Came to Norwich for a break and grabbed this take away with no expectations and WOW this has to be one of the best Thai take-aways I have ever had!! Full of flavour, good portions and fresh ingredients plus such good value for money. I have visited Thailand and this was just as good! Wish they open a branch in London!! =D

I had read reviews on here and ordered in high hopes but really the food was just far too bland for Thai food. The moo krob was very dry and for the most expensive dish I ordered there was not a lot of pork. Pad Thai was lacking flavour and by the time the food arrived it had nearly solified into one lump. Satay was actually the best thing I ordered but the sauce was generic tasting like you would find in most takeaways, sweet with no spice. The mango sticky rice was the most disappointing as the rice had zero flavour to it, it could have just well not have been there and I wouldn't have noticed the difference. The price was also on the high side. The food took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive and I was disappointed I spent £35 on it as half of it went uneaten. Maybe I was part of the unlucky 1% that had a bad experience?

Used Thai Street yesterday evening following several recommendations. I have to say the food was out of this world, probably the best take away I've ever had. Pad Thai and Chicken Masaman were amazing!!

My partner and I ordered food from here as a Valentine’s Day treat from Deliveroo. Unfortunately we were left waiting for 2 hours for our food to be delivered and when it arrived it was lukewarm at best, so we had to microwave it so that it was edible. We did call to chase our order a couple of times, the first time receiving barely any information on its whereabouts and then on the second informing it would be out for delivery soon.. when we had already been waiting an hour on top of our original delivery time. The food was really tasty but it didn’t feel right having to microwave something you have ordered as a takeaway? Please either provide more up-to-date delivery information or just be truthful of things are running behind.

Tried this place for the first time tonight and wow! It was really really nice! The portion sizes were huge and the food tasted amazing! The only down side was the food took a little longer on delivery BUT the food definitely makes up for it! It definitely deserves 5 stars and I’ll be ordering from here again 😁.

Food is lovely and reminded us of when we were in Thailand two years ago, even though our takeaway order when we got home was wrong they went out of there way to rectify and deliver FOC our original order which was delicious thank you great service and food 👍🏻

Great food. Shame they can’t seem to sort out timings. Waited 3 hours for our food and that’s been the same the last 3 times we’ve had a takeaway. No apology. Real shame as the food is exceptional.

The best. Just had this takeaway for the first time and it’s the best Thai takeaway I’ve ever had. Not only that but the vegan options are amazing as well. We had a Masaman curry and a Ganga Pa curry - both delicious. The spring rolls are perfection. Couldn’t recommend more highly especially when it’s usually so hard to find good vegan takeaway!!!

Just amazing! The best Thai food I had outside Thailand. Quite authentic, the Gang Pa curry I had with generous chicken bits, vibrant flavours of Thai basil and Kafir lime leaves, spicy, colourful. I had such a great time in Thailand and I was just nostalgic with this food. Mango sticky rice also delicious. I'd give 6 stars if I could

Best take away in the city. Lots of vegan options for me, and meat for my husband. The flavours are incredible. The only down side is, is that we are now ordering Thai at least once a week from here as its so good....... so not good for our bank accounts :)

Best pad thai I have ever had and and the stir fried aubergine is my all time favourite. As a student I always look for cheap convenient meal and this takeaway is beyond my expectations! Not only they offer good service but they offer affordable delicious healthy options.

This restaurant does the best vegan curries of all the places I know, I've been ordering from here since before it changed from vegan wok to Thai street, I absolutely love their massaman curry and their Thai green curry is very spicy and so so good. Their service is also great, always friendly and I've never had to wait too long for my order. I highly recommend them to anyone 😁

I don’t know where some people have been eating Thai food previously, but giving this place anything above 2 stars is laughable. The mushroom starter was awful ( stodgy, greasy deep fried garbage) , it went straight in the bin. The Tom yum was the worst I’ve experienced, and the panang was average at best. Not for me thanks.

I have always had the best food from Thai Street... Fresh ingredients, great balance of flavour & spice, excellent chef, friendly team & would highly recommend their food... I would have given them 6 stars...

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best Thai food I’ve eaten outside of Thailand! And that’s after 2 years living in Bangkok. Completely delicious, spicy to taste and soooooooo authentic! Kop khun maa kha.

I was recommended Thai Street by a friend as they had many vegan options available. Had to try it for a second time because it was so good. Tasted really fresh with excellent flavours, not stodgy like most takeaways, and not oily at all. On both occasions they didn’t disappoint. My wife chose the mock duck Masaman and sticky rice on each occasion which she absolutely loves. I tried different dishes each time with Tofu. The Panang and the Pad Med Mamuang are both delicious but the aubergines......oh my. They were cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth. Yet to try every vegan option dish on the menu which I’m sure I will. Keep up the good work Thai Street 👌

Very, very dissapointed. Had fab meals from here before, with wonderful flavours and beautiful chicken thigh meat. Had our meal tonight and the chicken was very poor quality, processed shaped thin pieces of frozen chicken, all for the same price. Very sad, the spices and flavour were excellent , but the quality of the chicken was rubbish.

Had to write a review straight away! We are finishing up the most amazing meal. The spice to heat is balanced perfectly, the options for vegetarians are excellent, the staff are wonderful and everything was cooked fresh and ready for collection within 20 minutes! We will be eating from here again and again, can't recommend this Thai takeaway enough! Many thanks. :)

Absolutely love this place! Been twice in a week. Food is fresh, authentic and delicious every time. Rendang curry, Moo ping and the tempura prawn are regular orders for us. Highly recommend
