The food was terrible. Never again .Cold starters. Stewed noodles. Curled up dry pancakes clearly not fresh. It was empty I understand why.

Food had to be sent back a few times (there was 15 of us) pancakes for the duck was curled up at the corners and dry… duck was cold on arrival… asked for no tofu in Pad Thai and all 4 ordered had tofu… dumplings were cold and dry… I could go on but you get the gist… definitely would not go back… very disappointed!

This is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. The food is brilliant and the service is absolutely fantastic. The food does take 10-25 minutes go get to you, but it’s really worth the wait! If you’re wanting to try Thai food, this is the place to go to! The view is amazing and there’s fake candles!

THEY HAVE MICE!! DO NOT EAT HERE! Went to eat here tonight for my friends birthday and as i was coming back from the toilet a mouse ran past my feet and i screamed. The waiter looked at the mouse and then looked away to pretend she didn’t see anything. As i got back to my table my friend who's birthday it was shouted that she had just seen a mouse run past our table. The waiters didn’t seem fazed as if they were used to it. Only god knows how many mice they have. The food was lovely but now i feel sick to my stomach. The restaurant has basically empty and now i know why. I wish i hadn’t spent my money here!

Lovely spot on the Thames, great and simple BUT HOT food , be careful what you choose and beware of the number of chillies showing. Absolutely gorgeous and well presented food and felt like being in Thailand. Service was impeccable as you would expect, can't believe it was not busier on a Saturday night, will go again soon.

Went here on a recent Sunday night. Overpriced fish main course was cold, the starters rice portions small. Not authentic Thai. Just bland . Very disappointing and expensive!!

I have never been to a 'Thai Square' before, so was looking forward to trying the food. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The greeting was very welcoming, but the restaurant was empty. We both had the mixed starters, which was a plate of brown food, not appetising at all. I had the Green Curry Chicken, which was a bowl of sauce with large peppers. My husband had Pad Thai Prawn, which contained elements that were unidentifiable, unpleasant and inedible. I expected to hear some noises when the food was being prepared, not microwave dings. I wont be rushing back.

The starters were disappointing which may have tainted the rest of the meal. Set platter for two with scallops and salt and pepper squid. Chicken satay was warm and did not look freshly cooked. None of the starters looked freshly cooked. The taste was good but that’s all. I felt the whole food on offer was not steaming not cooked fresh and overpriced.

We have dined at Thai square Putney a few times over the years and I really wanted to like this place as I am local and love thai food, sadly that is just not possible. We visited on a Thursday evening but it was empty save half a dozen tables. Service was very slow and food just not good. We ordered the gold set menu (£42.00) which included a glass of Prosecco but we had to request it twice. I find it both annoying and embarrassing. Several of the dishes had a supplement added. We had the mixed starters that were not good, could have been a supermarket frozen brand. I had the sweet and sour prawns ( ok) and my husband had the weeping tiger grilled beef. He requested it medium rare as it should be but it tasted as though it was blitzed in a microwave. To be fair they did replace it but particularly as they were so quiet it shouldn’t have happened in the first place! We also noted that this is the only branch that don’t include soup in their set menu. When I questioned this the reply was that we have the view! The staff ( understaffed) struggled to keep up and there was no manager in sight. Sadly as we have been underwhelmed multiple times, this will be our last visit. Shame as the view is fantastic, but just wasted on the mediocre restaurant

We arrived at Thai Square and were directed upstairs to our table with a lovely view of the Thames and Putney Bridge. The area we sat in had larger family groups so it was a bit noisy. So if you are a couple ask for another section. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food here is well spiced but not as hot as we expected. We shared two shared platters (for 2) between six of us which was a nice amount. For mains 3 of had the prawns in red curry - the sauce was amazing! The tilapia was coated in a thin crisp batter in a slightly sweet sauce. The Cosmo was perfect as were the other cocktails. Their wine list was not extensive but had plenty of choices and reasonably priced. We had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand that is perfect with Thai food but unfortunately it is not sold by the glass. All in all this a a great choice for a family get together.

Food very average, but ridiculously over priced for the quality. Bathrooms unclean, dust all over the sides inside the restaurant. Do not recommend

Just visited Thai Square. Very careless and disappointing service. Terrible and very sour pad Thai, Tasteless chicken green curry and watery jungle curry. Staff need to listen and not answer back inappropriately. A waste of £100.

Good (pricey) food as ever but the welcome was dire. “You can’t sit there because you’re just a a walk in”. I’m not just a walk in I’m a most welcome additional customer. Also I am not “just only one” I am a discerning solo gourmet.

I’ve visited Thai square a milion times in Fulham, South Kenignton but my favour place is on in Putney Brigde, meal after the sun is down by the rvier is just stunning. Services dont disappoints - never those guys are very kind and attentive- always, thank you. But the quality of the food really was not the same. I dare to say - without taste. Squid too salty, my seafood hot dish for 17£ was not having enough of everything. It wasnt as good as always! Our bill so far was around 80-90 £ for a tasty dinner with the desert and we take pretty much the same dishes every time. Our bill with no desert come to 140£. I left disappointed!

The food was good quality but I think that it may have been a change of the kitchen brigade. Nothing too serious but problem that many restaurant are experiencing at the moment, brexit, short staff and change in career. A note to other visitor, be patient and kind, this guys are working long and unsocial hours and they deserve respect. Thank you for a nice evening meal

Usually work in Town on Mon, Tue and Thu so like a warm lunch and a reminder of Siam. Food was busting with flavour, this time went for the Luch box , was served quickly and very warm, the waiters had a big smile. Filled me to contentment.

Had a lovely evening, the staff were helpful and tending to our needs- service was great. Food was lovely, recommend the butterfly prawns and the curry dishes. Will be back soon! :)

Thai food has always had a special place in my heart and after eating at Thai Square Putney Bridge for many years I’m proud to say that this restaurant never disappoints! Food can take quite a while doing the weekends, as do many other places but yesterday was a Monday and everything was just so perfect - fast food, friendly staff, really recommend the mixed starter and the the mango sticky rice for dessert if you’ve never been here before! Portions are reasonable, a little pricy, maybe prices went up due to COVID but the view when it starts getting dark makes everything so much better! will be returning again soon of course.

I was at a bday do at this restaurant just lastnight and before attending, I phoned the restaurant to ask about there the covid safety measures. They told me that they do temperature checks upon entry and that there is a QR code to scan but they don't do any of that. When I got inside the restaurant we were sat upstairs and as I went upstairs I could feel how warm and stuffy the air was. I was extremely uncomfortable but couldn't leave because it was a birthday. Fingers x that was there tonight was not a carrier of the virus

Thai Square Putney used to be one of my favourite places to eat in London. I was there this week for a friend's birthday dinner and was very disappointed. I don't know whether it's got a new chef, new management or both but the standard has gone down and the prices have gone up. My friends and I were underwhelmed by every dish. An old favourite, chilli squid, was dry and hard to chew. The papaya salad was a meagre portion and lacked flavour. We had a duck dish which was also a small portion and overcooked. Somehow, the finesse has gone from this establishment.

I ordered food for delivery. The food was ok but the chicken satay didn’t taste right. Later that night I was Ill with food poisoning. Bearing in mind the price, this should not happen. Not sure I would recommend

Rude staff we visited 8 people in august restaurant no very busy we ask 10 times baby chair food is cold I ask for manager lady staff say manager busy in kitchen then I ask for bill after 40mintues bill come Lady staff said u can’t pay bill half n half one person have pay all bill these policies

Location: first of all, the first thing I noticed was the breathtaking view of the river. Nicely located. Decor: the interior decoration has made the restaurant look classy and welcoming! Food and drinks: for starters, we ordered Kanom Jeeb which is similar to Chinese Dim Sum that’s known as Sui Mai. Kanom Jeeb tastes just like Thailand! Then for main course we ordered The Weeping Tiger which is sirloin steak. It came with a sweet tamarind sauce which was really delicious! I ordered the Mai Thai cocktail which came in a cute clay cup which was Asian themed! The cocktails were £10 which was normal price for London. The wine list had a variety and spoilt for choices! I’d definitely come here again as a special treat, the overall price is a little bit expensive but the food is amazing!

We drove past here having not eaten, we had both been before as well as the one in Richmond. It showed online there were no tables but decided to call up on the off chance. Luckily they said they had loads of tables free so we booked for 10 minutes after calling. The Gentleman on reception was really lovely and very good at making sure the venue was COVID safe. He ensures that everyone has a mask (we saw one couple turn up without one and he told them we’re mandatory at all times when not seated and provided them with one). He then ensures that you’ve sanitised your hands and checked in. They are taking the right measures that I personally feel should be taken to keep each other safe. The tables are very socially distanced we were sitting in a nice little space with only one other table in our area. They made sure the atmosphere was still really lovely. Our waiter was really lovely and he might have been the most polite waiter I’ve ever come across. We had an issue with our prawns as they turned up cold but we was not sure whether they were supposed to be cold or not. He came over and removed them from the bill with no issues whatsoever and he was so apologetic as they were supposed to be served hot. We are really glad we stopped here and hopefully we’ll be back soon. Like another reviewer, I have no idea where the negative reviews come from and I hope it doesn’t put people off.

The waitress was rude and brash, the mains came out cold and when we sent them back they brought out the same good reheated - terrible service, poor quality of food and wouldn’t recommend you to go here for Thai food. Will not be returning.

Lo probé y me di cuenta de que los fideos estaban muy salados y la sopa estaba tan amarga como el vinagre. El precio de los fideos es 17. 95 más 12. 5% de servicio. Así que los fideos y las sopas pequeñas cuestan más de 30 libras. La vista del río es muy agradable, pero el servicio y la calidad de la comida son ridículos.

My boyfriend booked this restaurant with the nice idea of eating by the river. We booked over the phone it guarantee a window seat which we got. We arrived early before the restaurant was open and they allowed us to sit inside and wait until 6pm. Then we were seated at our table and asked for drinks straight away. We took advantage of the cocktail deal which was very nice. We ordered a sharer starter for 2 which was prompt and yummy. Followed by our mains I liked the time between each meal, we didnt have to wait long it was just right. For mains I ordered the prawns and shrimp which was delicious, and we shared a portion of coconut rice and noodles, which was a reasonable side order. It was not busy in the restaurant so we kept our table for a few more drinks before heading off. The bill seemed worth it for the food, it was very tasty and better than other thai restaurants I've been too.

This is the second time and by far the best Thai Restaurant I have been to so far! The all the dishes tasted delicious and were so, so enjoyable. The only negative if theres to be one is the desserts were tiny although again, very tasty.

Very authentic Thai food beautifully presented. Great views of the River Thames and very nice ambience.

First we went to the wrong Thai Square!! We were seated having cocktails in the Fulham branch before we got a call saying we were in the wrong restaurant!!Putneys bar is larger and they have a actual bar staff as supposed to the waiters making your cocktails so already that was a bonus! I had the prawn summer roll for starters - there was too much lettuce in it and hardly any prawn! I shared some Dim Sum which was lovely. I ordered Prawn Pad Thai for my main and apart from a restaurant in Dubai, this Pad Thai was really good and really filling!No room in my belly for dessert!

This is a the best Thai Restaurant I have been to so far! The all the dishes tasted delicious and were so, so enjoyable.

Another wonderful evening at Thai Square, Putney enjoying the views of the River Thames! Delicious food as always washed down nicely with the Chang Beer. Top notch service from really welcoming and friendly staff! Highly recommend.

Loved this place when I lived in London eight years ago, and it didn’t disappoint this time! Amazing Pad Thai and Massaman Curry, with attentive service and a gorgeous view of the river. Easily accessible by tube, overground or buses in the Putney area of SW London. Feel like a local, not a tourist.

I am not a fan of Thai Square for Thai food but this branch has much better and original food than what you usually find in this chain.

Not a partiucular Thai food lover. Found food to be average and overpriced. Service was not 100% as had to keep asking. One dessert arrived after others had eaten theirs. Although it was eventually crimped after comments.

Siempre me ha gustado el aspecto del edificio en el que se encuentra el restaurante, así que he querido visitarlo durante mucho tiempo. El bar de la planta baja es muy agradable y tiene un ambiente de hotel, arriba, tienes el bullicio del restaurante. Una habitación larga y delgada con vistas sobre el Támesis.

It's hard to believe people write bad reviews about this place. It's a beautiful restaurant with delicious, authentic Thai food, really nice cocktails and beautiful river view. Yes, there is a scaffolding at the moment but it's not restaurant's fault and it's just temporary. I admit staff doesn't really make a lot of effort to make their customers happy. They weren't really attentive and didn't smile. But we still had an amazing evening. Will definitely come back !

We were very sceptical about booking here considering all the negative reviews but we were pleasantly surprised!! The decor is beautiful and all the staff welcomed us with a smile. Drinks were ordered and served promptly. We were a party of six and all ordered from the a la carte menu - every dish was delicious. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The view of the river was lovely and I can’t understand why people are criticising the improvements at the side of the river - it’s hardly the restaurants fault. We did not find the food or drinks overpriced; just what you would expect in a restaurant of this type.

Twinkly fancy pants place this, but it’s overpriced. Silver Set menu a rip-off, woefully small sharing starters. We sent them back and ordered individual dishes from the menu instead, which were delish! Great starters - fresh, tender amazing calamari & lovely prawns. Mains were decent too, although the sticky rice was the mucilaginous side of ‘sticky’.

Came last night (15 November 2018) for dinner with my sister. We had the mixed starters and had the mixed seafood starters, 2 steamed rice, a spicy seafood and chicken curry.

We ordered a delivery which arrived promptly... in a paper bag; two green curries placed at the bottom, inevitably leaking from the containers and soaking through the paper such that it was handed over completely split and sopping wet.

Popped in for an impromptu dinner with a friend. Really good chicken satay for starter and pad Thai for main. Never had a blue moon beer before (which comes with a slice of lemon). Enjoyed it and would go back again.

This is a restaurant overlooking scaffolding and not the river. The interior looks ok but the food was really very bad. There were 4 of us. We each ordered a separate food but everyone of received food which was cold, and just horrible. Obviously made in a hurry. Very expensive for what it is.

We got together for a family meal at what we thought to be a nice restaurant, was a total let down. The staff were very unpleasant! There was one member of staff who did not smile ONCE and slammed the plate on the table with no apology.

We had a fabulous lunch here and would highly recommend the pad Thai noodles, they came with a grilled crayfish on the top, really tasty. Please open a branch in Edinburgh!!

After recently being diagnosed with gluten intolerance I had assumed that Thai food was a safe bet, as I cook a lot of Thai food myself, however after visiting Thai Square in Putney Im not so sure. I was very disappointed to see hardly any gluten free dishes on the menu so makes me think that a lot of the dishes are not freshly made (unless they have a lot of soy sauce in them). It is a shame as this used to be one of my favourite venues in Putney

Tried here for the first time. Very impressed! Service is very good and the food was excellent. Penang curry was fabulous. Even the Thai white wine was good. No complaints at all.

La principal razón por la que eligió la Plaza fue porque tailandés de la comida. Pero tras una reunión con el director, Ken, yo confiaba en que nuestro día especial será perfecto. Ken y su personal acomodó nuestra petición como decoraciones, arreglos de mesa extra e incluso nos dio privacidad tener una comida íntima con 20 huéspedes. Todos fueron muy amables y profesionales. Sin duda se lo recomendaría a cualquiera que quiera experimentar deliciosa comida tailandesa, ambiente agradable y un servicio al cliente excelente. Muchas gracias.

El servicio de atención al cliente debería ser una parte clave de ir a un restaurante. Éramos una familia de 6 emocionado de probar después de ver de nuevo la Plaza Thai tenían un nuevo chef (fuimos el año pasado y no era una maravilla). Llegamos al restaurante 10 minutos antes de las 6 de la tarde y nuestra reserva rechazado groseramente. Preguntamos si podíamos esperar en la puerta y nos dijeron que por favor deje el restaurante y volver cuando estaban listos. El tono fue muy duros y de respeto. No hace falta decir que no vuelvas. Muy decepcionante, ya que estábamos deseando. Pero la grosería al entrar a la izquierda nos preocupa la experiencia interior.

Fuimos el 25 de julio. Pedí tortas de maíz y mi amigo tenía niño pequeño. Dijo que eran muy corrientes, aunque bien pero las tartas de maíz eran tan duras y exageradas que no podía cortar. Nos trajeron algunos más, que estaban un poco mejor, pero no recién hecho. Principal mi amigo tenía vieiras y pedí el pad Thai. Otra vez dijo su comida era muy común y no una explosión de sabores como cabe esperar con la comida tailandesa. Mi pad Thai sólo se puede describir como comestible. El gerente intentó e incluso estuvo de acuerdo en que era totalmente insípido y dijo que lo dijo el chef no sirven más que de día. He dejado el no haber cualquier cena y aunque yo no pagaría, que era 't mucho consuelo para ir a casa con hambre.

Absolutamente encantadora comida. El servicio era estupendo y el personal muy agradable. Mi primera comida aquí, pero la próxima vez me aventúrese a Londres desde mi casa en el distrito de los Lagos ya sé donde me voy a ir! Gracias chicos por una comida muy agradable.

Haber dado a este restaurante una crítica positiva en el pasado, ahora estoy obligado a retraer. Fuimos a este restaurante para cenar con la familia, pero la experiencia fue totalmente arruinada por el gerente de Ken. Pedimos virgen piñas coladas para nuestras bebidas. Como son caros que esperaba a nuestro dinero. Cuando las bebidas llegó finalmente todo lo que pudimos ver eran vasos pequeños completa con hielo y leche condensada. Cuando nos quejamos a la camarera para darnos nuevas bebidas hizo tener prolongadas discusiones con el gerente. Después de algún tiempo y finalmente llegó el director de golpe la copa en la mesa y entramos de forma grosera. Al final de la tarde la factura era de £150 a £15 con cargo por servicio. Sorprendentemente el director había cobrado por la bebida y comenzó argumentando que la original bebida que habían sido cambiados de bebido. Así que le pedimos que tome el servicio de que estábamos dispuestos a pagar a pesar del pésimo servicio que recibimos. Cuando le dijimos que nos íbamos a quejar a la oficina principal, él simplemente se rió de manera arrogante y me dijo que podemos hacer lo que nos gusta. Me imagino que él tenía una razón para comportarse asi porque después nos quejamos a la oficina principal, ni siquiera se molestaron responder de vuelta.

Nuestra hija recomendado este restaurante y me alegro lo hizo ella. Las vistas del Támesis son geniales y Combínelo con un servicio maravilloso y la comida fabulosa y la noche perfecta. El tamaño de las porciones eran buenas. Tuvimos una noche realmente encantadora y sin duda vienen aquí a comer de nuevo.

Found a new favourite restaurant. Thai Square Putney does not just have one of the best restaurant river views in London, it has service and cuisine to match. We were greeted by friendly courteous staff on arrival and seated in a stylish beautifully laid table by the window. The menu contained all the usual favourites plus a number of other less well known and regional dishes. The wine list was equally extensive. The food when lt came was exquisitely presented and totally delicious. A wonderful culinary experience. Highly recommended.

Fuimos a la plaza para la cena tailandesa basada en la recomendación de un amigo. Tan contentos de haberlo hecho. Todo, desde la comida hasta el servicio superó las expectativas y realmente disfrutamos de nuestra cena. Me gustó especialmente el pad thai de camarones al curry con pollo y masamun. El ambiente era agradable, y nuestro camarero era super agradable con servicio rápido. Yo recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera que le guste la comida tailandesa.

Dos de nosotros tuvimos la comida a 30 libras por cabeza. Un plato mixto, elección de un plato principal, una selección de seis, arroz al vapor y un helado.

La comida es estupenda, el servicio estupendo. Sinceramente no tengo quejas en ese frente.

Metimos en aquí para comer un bocado un martes por la noche. Comida deliciosa, una presentación y, aunque bastante caro, valió la pena. Gracias. El servicio es fluido y sabroso sin esfuerzo

Efficient, smiling, obliging and friendly staff despite the restaurant being packed with Saturday night diners. Cocktails beautifully presented, but pretty pricey. Ambiance great with beautiful views of the river. Food flavour-some, tasty and ample. Only hitch, there was one portion of rice short and it took a while for it to come. However it had obviously been freshly prepared, so all was forgiven. Will certainly return.

Su ubicación en una gran construcción de dos pisos construido para la forma de un barco mirando directamente al río es quizás su mejor característica. Un par de mesas afuera en la planta baja no son superiores a una mesa en el primer piso con una ventana al otro lado de la Thames a Fulham Palace Park. Por lo que es quizás la mayor cadena tailandés en el REINO UNIDO la comida era considerablemente mejor de lo esperado y sin duda a la par con los gustos de Patara y Reírnos de calamar. Fue una agradable sorpresa encontrar un Menú Ejecutivo de ofertas disponibles además de la estándar. Fue desde el menú de especialidades elegí pierna de cordero en curry amarillo con patatas cocidas en sus pieles. Esta fue una parte monumental de cordero y probablemente el que más destaca un plato de la noche. Pero con una gran sopa de marisco y gambas jugosos mussel en caldo de plumas ligeras y una ensalada de pollo eran también buenos. No hay muchas cervezas. A la vista no es una singha. Más de un vino o un cóctel. Servicio de camareras pulcramente vestido elegante vestidos firmemente apretado.

Así que cuando llegue a la plaza el edificio Tailandesa es preciosa y las vistas del río puede ser visualmente encantador. Sin embargo! !

He visitado algunos restaurantes de esta cadena y este es de lejos el mejor. La ubicación es fantástica, con vistas al río. El menú es más amplia que otros en esta cadena ya que el tener un chef ejecutivo. Yo opté por la que estaban cocinadas en mejillones un caldo de coco y servido con una sublime chapuzón picantes chili. Fue seguido por una costilla de ternera corta que se caían del hueso, cubierto de especias tailandesas y servido con arroz glutinoso.

This was amazing! Great food but more importantly the ambiance was so perfect. Food was good and also the staff. Well enjoyed!

I've been to other Thai Square restaurants and this one is pretty typical. It offers authentic thai food in a pleasant environment. This one is more modern and funky than the others I've been too which I didn't like as much. It offers a view of the river, however, when we were there the view was obscured by a bunch of storage containers. The Massaman Curry was very good as were the shared mixed starters. Staff were friendly.

As a regular visitor to Thailand I am used to delicious Thai food and here the taste was just as good as the original and nice classy environment too.

Value aside one of the worst meals I've had at a restaurant in a while. Food tastes pre prepared - old even. Do they prepare it on the premises? Very very bad and needless to say zero value for money.

The staff were very pleasant and welcoming however the evening was let down by seating the tables too close together when the restaurant was only a third full and the quality of our curries. The chicken was overcooked and in too large chunks. A bit disappointing.

Reservé mi esposo 50 fiesta de cumpleaños de un grupo de 12 personas. Recibí una llamada en el día de la cena, sólo notificando que podría haber la mesa para 2 horas y media. Yo no quería a toda prisa y me hubiera gustado si me hubieran avisado en el día que hizo la reserva. También nos dieron dos rondas, lo que hizo que fuera un poco difícil conversar con todo el mundo en ambas tablas. El ambiente era genial, la comida no era tan bueno como esperaba, bastante mediocre, yo diría. El servicio era bueno, pero no me prisa para pagar ellos otra visita.

Very romantic restaurant setting with overlooking river delicious dinner menu with big variety of dishes..!! Well recommended for any occasion!!!!

Thai square is a chain that does some lovely food at a high standard. The location if this restaurant is overlooking Putney bridge and right on the river Thames. The restaurant is set up in a way to make the most of the views. However that does come at a premium price. It's a lovely place for a treat tho especially on a sunny summer's day.

Myself and a friend popped into Thai Square for a late lunch. I have been before so I ordered the Chicken Satay, Lamb Curry and Coconut Rice. The satay came and I began to eat. After my second bite I noticed the texture was a little off. To my disgust when I looked down the Chicken was completely Raw. Not slightly but completely raw and cold. When we called the waitress over she offered to get it cooked more??? Like it was beef and it wasn't an issue. I told her I didn't want it anymore and she asked if I'd like it removed from the bill?......WELL YES. At the end of my meal I was shocked that we wasn't offered any type of discount for giving me raw chicken, not only that was charged nearly £8 service charge on top! Absolutely disgusting service and I certainly would never return here.
