Ate at this establishment numerous times in the past. Happen to be in the area and decided to have a late lunch. We were the only diners. Ordered our favourites. The battered squid was a disappointment with too much batter and overly tough. Other dishes were fine although the servings appeared smaller than I remembered.

I've wanted to go to Thai Square ever since I moved to Putney. So on my first visit the food was delicious -tasted like real traditional Thai cooking. Every dish from the dumplings, crispy duck with pancakes, beef salad and sea bream was exceptional and fairly priced. Will be back. Would have liked the Thai name for dishes as had to check which matched which.

I had tom yum soup and green curry prawn . The food was too sweet and the tom yum didnt have all the ingredientd you normally get. Service was v slow

RAT INFESTED!!!! Been there a few times as I love Thai food but the service is incredibly bad. Staff are not friendly at all. It’s such a dull, boring, dead atmosphere. And last time we were there a rat was freely roaming the floor of the restaurant!!! A RAT!!! ewww! Not going there again!

The food was ok and the view of the river very nice, but indeed there was a tiny mice playing around but outside the window. I tried to film him, but he was very fast and gone. I hope he was not coming from the kitchen. 😩

This restaurant was booked for my friend's birthday, the ambience was beautiful, the cocktails were nice enough... they could be more generous with the alcohol! They seemed very short staffed, we had to constantly try and get the attention of the staff, they then took a while to come to your table. Presentation of the food was beautiful, the taste was very average. I'm definitely not in a hurry to go back there.

Me and my family had a brilliant experience when dining here. Their food was exquisite and the workers were very helpful. The view of the river made it the experience that much better. We had a great time and the scenery is so spectacular that we took quite a few photos.

Overall, I was happy with the venue, the quality of the food (pad Thai £17), and the service. It was very empty on Sunday at lunch time, so need to make a reservation. The view was top notch

Honestly, the food is nice! The staff is rude. and the price is high! felt pressured to order more food! One of the female managers seemed really nasty.

I had a great time out for Mother's Day, even though when I called to let the receptionist or whoever answered the phone that we were going to be running ten minutes late, the woman was unable to locate my reservation or comprehend what I was saying. Eventually, we arrived, and she was able to locate my reservation and said it was fine. When the staff finally arrived at the table, they were pleasant and helpful, even though it took some time for them to check on the table and serve us drinks.

THEY HAVE MICE!! DO NOT EAT HERE! Went to eat here tonight for my friends birthday and as i was coming back from the toilet a mouse ran past my feet and i screamed. The waiter looked at the mouse and then looked away to pretend she didn’t see anything. As i got back to my table my friend who's birthday it was shouted that she had just seen a mouse run past our table. The waiters didn’t seem fazed as if they were used to it. Only god knows how many mice they have. The food was lovely but now i feel sick to my stomach. The restaurant has basically empty and now i know why. I wish i hadn’t spent my money here!

First of all i have to say I give all 5 starts to excellent customer services STAFFS My son wanted to try thai restaurant. WE was ORDERED food very quick. (10 levels of hunger sensation ) (for pure thai and British bone opinion) DIMSUM : my son gave 4 stars to it was very nice. Thai style. Aromatic duck : i was reminded my son. You can not expect this dish in thai restaurant. He gave 2 starts for this dish. The Pancakes was half stone over reheated. ( i meant it was harder) , the duck was ok. Sauce was better than expected. For the main course dishes was disappointing. Lamp shank curry : curry sauce was very salty . Meat nice and soft . I told my son please eat only meat, for his first spoon, he said nice but after the 3rd spoons he accepted that was very salty. Jumbo prawn chu-chi: then again was slight salty. I Can forget when eating with rice. If this dish got A little less salt will be perfect. Pad thai : my son love it the most. As I mentioned earlier you can try another dishes might be better I gave 5 stars because staff was extremely nice. So so for food if For people who are accustomed to high levels of salt in their food. This restaurant might be perfect for you. Total bill £117.- plus extra tips for staffs.

Really lovely staff and great vegan options 😊 pretty authentic for a larger chain - highly recommended the papaya salad 🥗 will be sure to visit again!

Took my mom here for her birthday........the food was delicious, excellent service and the ambience was amazing. We are sure to visit again.

When we attended the food was okay but we were shocked to see mice running around the restaurant floor when we informed staff they didn't even seen surprised. Won't be going there again

Food was surprisingly average... some of which looked and smelled more appetising than it tasted. Had read prior reviews and so had expected a better taste profile and quality of produce. So sorry but wouldn't be in no rush to eat here again. Staff were very present, although a little forgetful.

Nice view of the river, as you would expect, but the food was severely lacking in terms of quality and is overpriced. They blatantly freeze a lot of their food as it tastes rubbery and is certainly not fresh. This restaurant has been around for a while and it has not kept up with the excellent competition in the area whereby food is mostly served fresh and is considerably less expensive. Sorry, but I would not recommend eating here.

Duck pancakes were great. Jungle curry is a definite miss! Also they charged us just for asking for a takeaway box…

Really had a nice experience here, service and food were on point especially during the day when it is quite. Staff were very nice and polite. I would come here again just for the food even if it is an hours drive. Love the decor and the view over Putney Pier.

Met with old friends so that part was always going to be good. Service and food were great but from 9.30pm we felt that we had overstayed our welcome. We were offered the desert menu "as the kitchen was closing' and then were could not order drinks at 10pm as they close! Weird and not what you expect in London! So, the moral of my tail is, go early! Then go on to somewhere else.

Awful food - reheated few times and certainly not made on same day . Tofu disgusting . Chicken smelled of cadaver meat . Starters Very oily . Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Really good service Really lovely venue.. (I've been here a few times before) On the pricier side but food was amazing nonetheless.. there is nothing I didn't like! We had 3 courses, stuck which soft drinks and paid about £65 per head. It was pretty obvious we over stayed our welcome but they didn't say anything as it wasn't busy anyway. Would recommend.

Nice valentines dinner, duck spring roll was very nice

Wen’t for valentines day but was extremely dissapointed. Set menu naturally on the night but plenty of choices so went for the 3course option. Starter was ok but nothing special, similar to a dine out thai box from sainsburys. Had the duck and prawns for main with a tiny portion of rice to share, which again was ok but nothing worth coming back for. Then got ignored for 30mins with no dessert so asked for the bill because it was late, explained what happened, no apology or anything was given, really poor. To pay £110 for that night was an ansoloute mick take. Wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone ever.

Really nice place. Food tasted amazing especially the starters! The staff was really friendly and the cocktail was super tasty. Would recommend! Only gave it 4 stars just because it is a little pricey but was really good.

£80+ dinner for two without alcohol is higher than expected. Food tasted nice and authentic, slightly heavy with the fish sauce and sugar if your palate can withstand. Would recommend the king prawn red curry 👌 Overall service was good, staff were polite. But food was not value for money.

Party of six. My food was very nice but a rather slow service resulted in the kitchen being closed before dessert could be ordered (and we weren't warned the kitchen was closing, which was disappointing).

Poor service and overpriced. Only once decent dish. Not a place to go for authentic Thai. Ingredients and meat quality was poor. Excellent views of the river however, unfortunately the bill reflects that the rent isn't cheap.

I’ve never left a review for anything less than 3 stars and even 3 stars is very rare. Unfortunately a recent lunch I had at Thai Square was one of the worst meals I’ve had for a very long time. We started by ordering the calamari and dumplings. The calamari was so tough and chewy that we had to send it back. The pork and prawn dumplings had a very strong seafood smell to them which made me worry about how fresh the prawns they used were, so I couldn’t eat anymore than one of those. We ordered a Thai curry and stir fry for our mains which were ok, but really didn’t live up to the price were were charged for them. We ended up paying for one starter, two mains and a bottle of wine, which came to £85.

Everything here was excellent, view was fantastic ,staff very friendly ,food was excellent, I lived in Thailand before so have eaten plenty of it ,this was very good Will definitely visit again when I'm in putney

Beautiful view of Putney Bridge from the restaurant. Seeing Double Deckers drive over the bridge as you eat is such a special London feeling As for the food it’s amazing! Just watch out for the drunken noodles they are as spicy as they are delicious!!!

Food was woeful. Only given a second star by me because the waitress was pleasant, wrote down the order carefully and read it back, so no mistakes there. Shame because the location overlooking the river in Putney is hard to beat in London. Will not be returning.

The best Thai food that I've had in a very long while. A little expensive but so worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

It takes a lot to make me feel it is worth the effort to review a restaurant, but a shockingly poor meal at the Putney branch of Thai Square last Saturday lunchtime prompts to do so. We had two starters and two main courses plus two steamed rice. Nothing seemed to be freshly cooked but, instead, evidently cooked a day or two earlier and sloppily re-heated and lukewarm on serving. The chicken in the main courses was dry and tough, tiny slivers of, I suppose, squid (there was so little it was impossible to tell) were encased in an ultra thick layer of breadcrumbs for the starter, and the rice was halfway between cold and lukewarm, but gluggy and glutinous. The staff of two did not bother with the formality of asking if “everything was alright” but, with an almost empty restaurant probably they knew the answer. All for £65 with no alcohol. Avoid like the plague (everyone else is already). The view of the river is nice.

A great Thai. We returned after a gap of about four years to find this restaurant much improved. The service was quick and friendly, the food excellent, and the building itself is impressive. Very enjoyable.

Had dinner here for the first time in years and was so nice. Friendly and prompt staff, great food and an excellent venue with a view over the river. Will certainly be returning again.

Lovely food good service will be going again

I recently attended for a friend's birthday party and was blown away by the food, service and location. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic, whilst staff were warm and attentive. I can't wait to visit again!

You come here for the location, if you sit upstairs next to the window you get to see a beautiful view of the Thanes Riverside. The food is your standard Thai square, and the service is warm and accurate and fast. This location loves white linen tablecloth’s and caters to those on a date or a family dinner.

Had a good time the first time I came but he second was awful. When we first came in the receptionist told us the chef wants to go home and I apologised for making such a late booking. That should of never happened and you should change your opening times if it effects you so much.

Absolutely love this restaurant chain, especially the one in Putney Bridge. The location and the view is amazing. They have a great selection of cocktails and drinks to start with. The menu has everything you are looking for in a Thai restaurant. They serve this delicious prawn lemon grass soup and the famous Pad Thai. The table service is like being back in Asia. Great place, highly recommend it!

We visited the lovely Thai Square restaurant at Putney Bridge, which is situated by the River Thames. We had a very enjoyable meal and were served by some very pleasant waiters. The meal kicked of with a Gin Fizz cocktail which was very nice and refreshing, and some Chang Beer. We had an assortment of starters comprising Steamed Dumplings with a sweet dipping sauce, Deep Fried Squid, Soft Shell Crab and a Papaya Salad - very nice. For our mains we had the amazing Chu Chu Prawns, Prawn Pad Thai, Red Curry with Prawns and Jasmine Rice - all very nice. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the views of the river were nice. Recommended 😀.

Simply love Thai food, and Thai Square is totally remarkably genuine Thai food, delicious, versatile, a piece of Thailand in London. Adorable refined exquisite ambiance, with a superb river Thames views! We'd just been yesterday (22-Oct-2021), and they have this special set menu where you get a glass of Champagne with your three course meal, a wonderful treat, at a great price! Totally recommended!

A really nice meal in a friendly atmosphere with comfortable seating (I must be getting old) and brilliant staff. It's nice to go to a Thai restaurant and find Thai staff serving food that tastes the way it tasted in Phuket (for instance). Service was brilliant and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.

The elevated position and large windows with views across the river mean this building has the potential to be the best venue in Putney but this restaurant is not making the most of it. When we attended (on a Thursday evening) there was rubbish piled up in the entrance and a horde of just eat drivers. The food is significantly below average and the prices are significantly above average. Mediocre would be too generous for this place. I won't be returning or using any other restaurant in the chain. I hope they move out and so this potentially magnificent venue can have an occupant worth visiting.

A bit overpriced but good occasionally

Firstly, let me say our server was AMAZING. She was absolutely lovely. Our food was also very good. The reason for three stars is, 1) the inside of my tea pot was rather dirty, and 2) I think there were eggshells in my dish. I do also think it was a bit overpriced.

Nice chic restaurant next to Putney bridge. Excellent Thai food. We ordered few different dishes and loved Tom yum soup, pad Thai and crispy fried tilapia. The food was amazing with nice views of river. Staff was very nice and excellent service. Parking is little difficult to find and expensive. Some places parking is free from Saturday evening till Sunday night.

I live in Cleethorpes and my parents took me to Thai square not been before the food was amazing and the staff very covid aware. They did temperature checks and track scan on entry .very friendly and polite And also had air-conditioning unit. I will definitely go back when back in London and also told all my friends about Thai square

Wonderful food and service. With a great view over the Thames. Park on the street behind the restaurant that runs along the river. Nearly always a park there.

Usually work in Town on Mon, Tue and Thu so like a warm lunch and a reminder of Siam. Food was busting with flavour, this time went for the Luch box , was served quickly and very warm, the waiters had a big smile. Filled me to contentment.

The place was cosy with a very good atmosphere. Food was good but a bit over priced in my opinion. But we had a great table of 6 in a great position. Overall I'm satisfy with the experience just a bad side its the price you pay .

We had a brilliant time with family at Thai Rice. Great atmosphere, really great service, the ladies that served us were super, the venue was nice venue especially as we had nice view of Riverside. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. Only thing that let it down was the food. For instance my beef stir fry dish was slightly dry, the pad Thai was burnt and starters were bit bland. The only thing I liked was spring rolls and rice. I wasn't overly keen on the dessert. But the waitresses were really good and quickly replaced burnt pad thai. On the whole brilliant service, great venue but food wasn't up to much.

Food was dry and cold. It took 8 minutes for the food to arrive and 27 minutes to get the bill.

This restaurant has alot going for it. It has the 3rd best view of any restaurant in the UK (according to Hello magazine), plus great service and food. The only thing not so great are the desserts which compared to the rest of the meal are very lacking in flavour. My advice is if you come here just skip dessert.

The food is amazing! There were a couple of things we did not like about the place, but nothing that can't knock stars off for the food.

This is one of my favourite date night spots. The food is great! I have been dreading dining in since the start of the pandemic due to anxiety. I can confidently say that this is the most COVID safe restaurant I've ever been to. The protocols they follow: - Track and trace - Temperature check - Sanitisers - The staff wear PPE - Online QR code menu - The tables are spaced out
