Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. It's been a while since I last visited and it's as good as I remember.

Very clean, good service, good food.....busy day but our order was taken in a timely manner.

Nice restaurant and good food. Service so so felt rushed and waitress had a bit of an attitude problem. Would still recommend though

My wife and I visited the Marina Turkish restaurant for the first time last Saturday From walking through the door and being warmly greeted and shown to our table To being served drinks was exceptional Wonderful starters baba ganoush and falafel beautifully presented and delicious Main courses of chicken skewers and guvec again beautifully presented and incredibly delicious ( I had the guvec with lamb, just fantastic) Great waiters who were very knowledgable regarding the menu Incredible food very well presented

The food and service was wonderful. I highly recommend this fabulous restaurant.

To start we had the sharing starter - magnificent!! Mains - I had crispy beef with Singapore noodles and both dishes were absolutely fantastic with a decent spice level and amazing taste & texture. Partner had stir fried venison which was pretty good too. Could not fault the service and welcome. Only 2nd time there, and will definitely make it 3rd at some point.

Overall food and service was 5*. My absolute favourite restaurant and has quickly become our go to place in the family. Also our celebration for birthday is held here as it was today. 06/02/25. Loveliest staff and food is flawless. The only restaurant we’ve ever been too and cannot diss. Much love for the TM Team! <3

Enjoyed lovely meal today with friends which we all enjoyed. Plenty of food for the price of their lunch special which is 2 courses plus 175 glass of wine for £18.95.

Our table was unbooked. We had hut, tasty food brought promptly. Tge staff presented me with a cake and candles. Good value restaurant.

Been eating there on and off for 20years still best Thai restaurant I visit.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, but my experience last night was appalling. The staff were shockingly rude and made it abundantly clear that they wanted us out of the restaurant by 10pm, despite the advertised closing time being 10:30pm. Their behaviour was unprofessional and uncomfortable, culminating in a staff member abruptly saying, “You have finished, go,” while we were still drinking the drinks they had served just 15 minutes earlier! The food is good, comparable to other Thai restaurants in Eastbourne in terms of quality. However, it is significantly more expensive—£5.50 for a mint tea (essentially mint leaves in hot water) feels extortionate. While I’ve enjoyed dining here in the past, the service has left me questioning whether it’s worth returning. There are other Thai restaurants in the area offering similar quality at better value and with far superior hospitality.

Food was absolutely delicious, but we were told to leave because we were the last table still seated (enjoying tea/coffee) and the team wanted to go home. This was half an hour before the close time. They had cleared away and mopped the entire restaurant around us and we had to leave through a door by our table.

Each visit here is better than the last. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed. Best value for money you could find

The food is of a high standard we ordered a set meal for 4 and enjoyed the experience, however, £45.00 per head was a bit on the pricey side in our opinion.

This restaurant has a lovely decor and ambeinonce. The staff were all attentive and are friendly. Good service and food is amazing.

Lovely evening with friends. Food was hot and delicious. Just had to ask for extra mushrooms in my mushroom dish as only a few slices. This they did. Loved the Christmas decorations!

Consistently good food at reasonable prices. A couple of staff members could smile a bit more but generally everything is in place to enjoy a nice meal there for an occasion or otherwise.

A group of 20 of us enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Food was good and a friendly environment . Think that there were only two staff on including the chef that evening, but they seemed to manage ok with our group. 10% service automatically added on to our bill but not mentioned beforehand. This is common practice with large group bookings but a heads up would have been useful on this occasion. Thank you for a pleasant evening.

Gem of a Turkish restaurant at the Marina. Had lunch here recently comprised of the hot and cold mezes. The food is delicious with a great selection, the service was first class and the restaurant itself beautifully presented. I will definitely be returning.

I really like Somtam, coconut ice cream, Khanom Mor Kaeng, sticky rice with durian, Moo Dan Diao, and dim sum. Beautiful shop, beautiful Thai atmosphere, kind owner, good service staff. I will definitely go back.

Disappointed to spend the whole meal fending off annoying flies (think they were fruit flies). Food was lovely as usual (we have eaten here often) but the flies were so annoying. As it’s October you wouldn’t expect them so presume someone is doing something wrong in the kitchen.

Beautifully decorated premises with wooden carvings and Orchids. Friendly helpful staff in traditional attire. Delicious meals well presented with the most amazing coconut ice cream. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This was the first visit today me and my friend had a lovely time the waiter was great whole restaurant was very clean 👌 the only downfall for me was the rice unfortunately I'm a great rice lover and I love freshly cooked rice sadly thie rice was not freshly cooked I'm pretty sure it was microwaved rice. However I will return again soon maybe it was a hiccup fingers crossed

We have been frequently using this restaurant for several decades and have recently found that it had gone down hill. The food used to be consistently good for many years, however over the past few months it has deteriorated to the point where it has now become poor. Some of the staff, (one lady in particular), are surly and rude. On this occasion we left before we had even managed to order drinks. We hope they read this review and learn from it.

Very nice restaurant, good food and staff, but let down when asking for the bill in that once arrived the waitress wanted for me to pay straight away without me pondering over the bill.

We enjoyed a relaxing 2 course lunch in the sunshine of Sovereign Harbour today, with great, fresh and tasty food as well as a friendly service. We very much recommend the Marina Turkish Restaurant & out doors on a sunny day. Will will go back in the future to experience more of the of the menu.

We went as a couple to celebrate my partners birthday. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and seated near the window.I had a Calamari Starter and my partner had the Halloumi and we both enjoyed them. My partner is from London originally so she’s more used to Turkish food than I but I loved it. The main course I had was Prawn stew and she had Moussaka. We finished off with Turkish Coffee. We will return as the staff are friendly and the food delicious 😋

Lovely meal sitting outside of this resturant. Very busy so quite noisy needed to ask for parts of our order more than once but happy with overall service which was prompt and friendly

We chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday, and it was an excellent decision. The food was truly delicious. I had the Beyti, and it was amazing. The service was warm and top-notch. For dessert, I tried the baklava, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Both the service and the food quality were exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

Great food and service - we hadn’t booked and were advised on the phone no table was available - however 10 mins later they called backed and because of a cancellation were able to accommodate - how proactive and we were able to go - super food and service

Service was exceptional. Food was out of this world. Great selection of dishes and drinks. Value-wise - I would say £50-ish a head so not too bad, but not cheap! No background tunes or anything. Tables quite close together. But on the whole - a wonderful experience and would definitely go back!!

So disappointed with our experience here Firstly the restaurant needs a good clean splashed food stains on the wood panelling and dust,very unhygienic Secondly the staff are so surly no smiles Thirdly the food was only just average at best we had a sharing platter which was the best part of the meal Noodle and curry’s very overpriced. We paid £13.50 for a noodle dish when I had only asked for a noodle to go with my green curry At that point I was done with this restaurant and will not return

I cannot understand the low ratings given by some reviews. We have been coming here for years, the latest was 2 weeks ago with some old friends from elsewhere in the UK. We had a great time! As always, the service was prompt and attentive and all dishes were excellent. One friend had green curry and I had lamb mussaman. Both were really delicious and I have no idea why they have been slated on here. With starters, lagers and a tip (which was not even asked for) it came to about £30 a head. Very reasonable I thought. Our friends were a little let down by their hotel and the town centre, but our visit to the Thai Marina changed their minds about Eastbourne and now they want to return!

It was a very busy Saturday night when we ate here. Food was superb from start to finish. Chicken wings, spicy Turkish sausage, and lamb chops (x2). The wine was much better than I was expecting, too. If we didn't live 50 miles away, we would be back...

We are regular diners at Thai Marina and the standard of food is consistently good.

Always enjoyed the food. They have a very rude man waiter working there. We were slightly early and was told to stand over by the toilets until our table was ready. He told my friend your in the way and the next time he pushed him. We told the waitress who said he was always getting complaints about his behaviour. Not what I want to hear.

Food us always good. Visited at lunchtime for set menu. Unfortunately everytime we visit they have again increased the price. Hopefully this will now stop as soon will not be good value.

Fantastic meal, great Turkish food in excellent location overlooking the marina

Thai Marina is my favourite restaurant and I’ve been coming here for well over twenty years. The food, service and atmosphere is always second to none and nothing is ever too much trouble. I’ve noticed a couple of negative reviews on TripAdvisor bemoaning the price and the service which baffle me. The prices are available on the website and in the window so I don’t know why it came as a shock to those particular reviewers, plus the set lunch menu has always been exceptional value. As for the poor service reviews I can only surmise there was more to it than the reviewer committed to paper.

We went here yesterday for a meal with my daughter and one year old granddaughter, The food was amazing and really authentic with some things on the menu that I have only found in Turkey. The staff were fabulous and especially Taz (one of the owners) who went above and beyond with going out to the local shop to get mayonnaise for my daughter, really appreciated it as they were really busy, customer service outstanding. Think this is our new favourite will definitely be going back to try some of the other appetising items on the menu.

Went to eat here last night. We live in the Harbour but not been down there to eat for ages. This restaurant is a fab new addition! Food...staff and atmosphere are top notch and I'm fussy! Their homemade Baklava is heavenly! Lots of outside tables too and all in all a gorgeous evening there! THANK YOU!
