Thai Express in Swansea

I noticed this restaurant/cafe a while ago and this was only my second visit. Firstly, a little background, I spent three years living in Thailand and know my food. This is a simple, cafe style place with seating upstairs and down. Menu was comprehensive enough, prices are really good value. Starters around £4, main courses £6. We had Thai cakes and spring rolls to start. Both were well cooked, the spring rolls super crispy and not too greasy. Then, we had a noodle dish and stir fried dish. Both were cooked quickly in front of us, full of flavour and the real deal. Plenty of authentic Thai condiments on the table too. With a can of drink and a water, it was only £22 in total for two. Great value. Also nice to see several Thai customers come in too, that tells you all you need to know about authenticity. Staff polite too and cleaned every table as soon as anyone left. No frills cafe with fantastic food, can’t fault it. Looking forward to future visits.

Excellent food and compared to many Thai places I have eaten at, this is as advertised, "the real deal". The ladies that run it are lovely people and rhe service is great. Their fish cakes are so tasty.

Found this absolute gem of a place by chance this afternoon. Thought we would give it a bash as we both love Thai food. We certainly were not disappointed, fantastic freshly cooked authentic Thai food that was better than some over priced Thai restaurants I have been in. Starter and a main came to £10. We will definitely be coming back again.

Just finished a takeaway from Thai Express As my husband said " Wow!" We tried the Green curry as like Chicken Madras in a new Indian indicates their strengths. Absolutely delicious .A new one for us was Papya salad recommended by another review .Really something.Clean premises and very friendly staff We will return . Only down point is that it does not open in the evening.

My wife took me to Thai Express just before lockdown and I was so surprised how authentic the food was. We will keep coming back.

Had the green curry with rice.....exceptionally fresh...and a huge chilli 🌶 kick... my new go to for lunch at work.

I have been here once a week with either my husband or friends to support a local new business just before lockdown. Every time chefs greeting us, taking order, cook and then serve us, all in all it feels like I have been invited to their home. When they weren't too busy they would have a good chat with us. Food? Amaaaaazing! As a chef and restaurant manager myself, highly recommended. Food cooks infront of you meaning they are fresh, big bonuses are very tasty and inexpensive. 5 star from me all day long. ; )
