Thai Cottage in Moray

The chicken and cashew nuts smelled of wet dog was all conjeeled. The spring rolls were nice and crispy on the outside but the inside was like raw batter very disappointed ☹️

This was my first visit to Thai Cottage for a number of years. There is a good range of food on the menu. Prices are reasonable and service was quick and friendly. Portions were huge and our party of four enjoyed our takeaway I discovered that it is cash only at this Takeaway and I had to dash back and get cash from my better half to pay my purchase

Had a takeaway for 4. Food was very good and plentiful. If you like Thai food would thoroughly recommend.

Ordered from here whilst staying at the caravan park nearby. The food was quick, piping hot and delicious! Everyone enjoyed it, even the kids which is even better

Whilst visiting the beautiful beach town if Lossiemouth we ordered from the Thai Orchid. We had the set meal C for two as well as a couple of curries. Everything was delicious and there was so much food from the set meal that we had enough leftovers to feed the 4 of us another night.

Couldn’t fault this place, service was excellent the young lad was polite and very professional. The meal was a great value and we only waited about 10 mins at most. We had a short drive to Silver Sands and the meal was still piping hot best carry out I’ve had in a long time. Excellent

I have used the Thai Cottage on a couple of occasions and had no problems. Tonight's takeaway was no different. I phoned in an order for our party of four from an extensive menu. I drove through to collect it (a delivery service is also available) and the order was ready for me at the agreed time. Service was friendly and our meals were delicious. Portions were large and prices very reasonable. A recommended takeaway outlet

Came to Lossiemouth and had to eat takeaways due to Covid restaurant closures. We ordered from here twice as it was so good. The prawn salad was excellent, chicken chow mein, chicken cashews, veggie spring rolls were all super tasty with generous portions. Definitely order from here if wanting a hearty takeaway.

It was fine - we had a meal from there and it was efficiently done and quite nice. The price was low, so no complaints.

Great Thai takeaway in Lossie - everything was excellent! Would recommend the wings and Thai Red Curry - one of the best Thai takeaways I've had! If in Lossie would definitely recommend- better than other takeaways in the area.

Very good Chinese takeaway with a good menu range of classics and reasonable prices. We got half a duck which was good, especially the sauce. Also prawn chow mein stir fried and salt and spice prawn. Friendly girl at the till too. Cash payments only here.

This is a wonderful place to get a whole range of superbly cooked far Eastern foods. Eat out only, but delivery is very prompt.

Our second visit and again very happy with our takeaway. The menu is available on Internet. The menu is extensive and prices very reasonable. Our order was was waiting for us at the time arranged, service was friendly and our meals were delicious. Recommended

Had a lovely meal red and green Thai curries with rice. Prefered the beef red curry to the green chicken curry maybe bit too many vegetables going on in the dishes big portions and delicious. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

We visit Lossiemouth every year and having used a different Chinese restaurant already the same week, thought we give the Thai Cottage a go. Instant regret. “Crispy Beef strips in Black Bean Sauce” was like sloppy beef fat in a sauce formed of nothing but oil. Sweet & Sour chicken balls were HARD and super chewy, sweet and sour sauce tasted like someone had liquidised a bag of skittles and added a whole pack of sweeteners to it. Singapore chowmein was good, but that can’t make up for the two TERRIBLE dishes we also had.

We were staying at silversands and ordered takeaway to be delivered the service was fab and so was the food the best we have had in a very long time

Not quite sure what to make of this place. It's not Chinese it's not Thai. Everything is served with raw onion and carrot, and dried chilli. Nothing fresh and the menu is a mixture of worldwide cuisine. Expensive for what it is.

A good varied menu reasonably priced. Our order was ready for us at the time agreed for collection. Portions were large and our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our takeaway. Recommended

Nice green curry Red curry ........................not so nice English .........................sounded like Vinglish Priced ? a wee bitty UP

We decided to give this place a shot after hearing good reviews. The verdict was somewhat mixed - I thoroughly enjoyed it but the in-laws weren’t impressed!We opted for a Green Thai Chicken Curry, Red Thai Beef Curry, another Curry (can’t quite remember the name), Fried Rice, Prawn Crackers and Chips. All of this cost £26 - an absolute bargain!I loved the Curries although they did venture well into the hot side (the Green especially). Apart from this, the food went down really well with me. Unfortunately the in-laws weren’t convinced - they thought it was a bit tasteless and lacked that genuine Thai touch. Not for everyone I guess.Personally, i’d order again from here but try something a bit different on the menu.

Great Chinese and thai food consistent good quality meals, a menu with so much choice and great service.

First time to Thai Cottage and it's now our new favourite. Chow mein was excellent, large portions. We will be back.

Best Chinese /thai carry out I have ever had. The quality amount and flavours were excellent. We are family of four were absolutely starving and couldn’t finish it . Fantastic

We use Thai Cottage quite a bit when up in Lossiemouth. Consistently good with large portions. Our fav is the Sweet and SourChicken Balls when you can get up to 13 - One dish can feed 2/3 people

Crispy pancake rolls very nice batter and filling .

We as a family have used regularly for many years used to be such good food but has gone down hill dramatically last nights house special curry was absolutely vile so much so it went in bin dripping in fat,couple of small bits of chicken and beef you couldn't cut far less chew no king prawns or peas plenty onions though.

Been to this carry out a number of times now. After I read a review, I thought it had gone down hill sinse my last visit. But to my delight is has not, maybe the person who marked this place down was being a tad over critical. Anyway special curry and chicken and pineapple were very good, no complaints whatsoever. Keep up the good work and service.

Yo no suelo escribir una mala crítica, sin embargo, acabamos de tener una casita de la tailandesa y no era agradable ni tampoco era "auténtica cocina tailandesa". Era bastante pesado, gloopy y lleno de verduras crudas.

As a regular I had to write a review. We travel 30 miles past other Chinese restaurants to come here. Never had a bad one yet. Special chow mein highly recommended as is the curry & chicken balls...Big portions and very tasty

This is the best Thia food around we visit a few times a month for family get together

Been here a number if times in the last few months and never failed to impress. Excellent quality food and decent sized portions. Food ready when it's meant to be, which again is good. Can't loose here really.

Fast delivery service food always arrives hot great choices food is great can't complain about anything other than the BBQ sauce tastes more like gravy

Had a takeaway with friends who always have it from here. Very nice food, garlic chicken, peking chilli beef, special fried rice. All well cooked and lovely

We were ordering a large takeaway they don't take card it is not on the menu set us a bit short of cash for later .Wasn't really impressed with some of the food we had some was thick and starchy Pancake rolls and chicken balls were fab as was cashew and chicken we had loads more that weren't up to much

Had chilli ribs and house special curry which for the price didn't include rice of any discription were as ever other taka way includes rice, whilst the ribs were ok for a large portion 4 ribs is a piss take I'd beg to think what a small potion is.As for the curry the prawns weren't fresh beef was chewy chicken was that artificial crap the sauce didn't look like or resemble a curry and tasted like a day old vomit smells and then the check to add a delivery charge that's 300 something yards down the road. I certainly won't eat from here again or recommend it. hopefully I won't be Ill but if I am 1 guess were I'll be going e.h.o.Stay well clear of this place. I hope the owners read this and make changes where necessary unless they or the problem

We ordered a couple of dishes for a convenient takeaway during our stay in Lossie, and although the order was ready for collection incredibly quickly, we thought the food itself was a little disappointing.There was plenty of meat in the chicken with ginger and spring onions, but it smelled better than it tasted, and was a bit gloopy in consistency. We also had a green curry with prawns, but both the sauce tasted slightly as if they had come from a jar, or were at least thickened with a starch to give them a glossy, slightly gelatinous sheen.It was inexpensive and the portions were generous, but a little disappointing in its overall taste and quality.

Ordered the kung po pork and a couple of sides to be delivered after a hard days work. Excellent value and taste .am going to use them again definitely.

Twice now I have ordered Special Set Dinner takeaways from this restaurant and both times I have been delighted. Last night my friend and I chose the 'B' Menu, although wanted to alter a started and a main course, which was no problem at all. As were having it delivered, I asked how long we should expect to wait and was told 40 mins tops. It actually arrived in about half an hour, which was great. The value for money at £11.00 per person was fantastic - three full starters, three full main dishes with 2 portions of rice, plus a yummy banana fritter each. The food was excellent and despite giving it our best shot, there was no way we could finish it - hence, we split the 'remains' and each came away with more than enough for supper tonight. Really good - a proper treat that didn't break the bank.
