Spent £40 on the worst Chinese I’ve ever had! I ordered chicken curry but instead got beef, the deep fried chicken skewers weren’t even deep fried and tasted like rubber chicken, salt and pepper chips were frozen crinkle cut chips with a little bit of salt and pepper added, also prawn crackers tasted stale and weren’t edible, the overall food was just so poor and would never eat here again.

5.0 Came to Elgin to visit extended family and ordered take-a-way from here. Would definitely recommend if you like great food great service and lovely staff

I was debating wether or not I should put this review here. I don't normally but the pain and discomfort I'm currently experiencing because of the poisoned food I was sent is off the scale. I ordered for my wife and I sweet and sour chicken balls, salt and chilli chicken, salt and chilli chips and a potion of vegetable spring rolls or these I can't be exactly sure which poisoned me but after a trip to Dr Gray's and an IV drip for replacing fluids and still having stomach cramps I wouldn't want anyone to go through this again. I hope I was just unlucky because I don't wish anyone bad when they are trying but can't deny the food poisoning and the 3 days I've been bedridden. Sorry to post such an honest review but other people should be aware.

Its a carry out facility so atmosphere question is irrelevant. Best curry in town and I've tried them all. Great service and always polite

Happy City? More like Sad City. i thought because it was more expensive, the food would be better, but that was not the case. the sauce tasted nothing like honey chilli it was so bland and on top of that, the chicken, beef AND rice had like zero taste. I regret buying this so much.

Best Chinese Takeaway in Elgin. Beef chow mein was excellent.

British style Chinese food should look appealing and appetising. This looked dreadfully bland and tasted as bad as it looks. When does Hong Kong style sweet and sour have quarter sliced tomatoes in it? This is one of the worse take outs I have had.

I ordered chicken and mushroom curry with egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips. When I got back to hotel I had the dish above with Gravy not Curry? And the chips, wow deep fried with full of fat taste. Stay away

Lovely room,meals and location is spot on in the centre of town with a lovely views

The chicken satay was dried old chicken in a “sauce” looked more greasy dish water. Laughably bad. The salt n pepper chips were like crinkle cut microchips. No onions or any kind of veg. Even the dog wouldn’t eat it.

We are on holiday and popped in here after reading the reviews. The food was delicious and very hot. The premises were very clean and the staff friendly. We will go in again before leaving 😃

We visit Elgin quite a lot and we've been coming here for years! Small family run business with some of the nicest staff you'll ever meet. Typcial takeaway menu. Can't go wrong. Can't complain.

As somebody that doesnt eat Chinese or Indian or any foreign food no offense to anyone but I dont.I always have Roast chicken chips peas and gravy....SIMPLY THE FOOD EVER.ALAN AND HIS WIFE ARE GREAT. GREAT SERVICE AND VERY CLEAN.

Often nip in here when working late, and pass it on my way home. The young chap in there is very friendly and pleasant. I usually get special fried rice and curry sauce. This is the best takeaway I know of in the area. Parking on street and just beside the place itself.

Quality of the food here is generally quite nice and the portion sizes could easily feed two people. Owners are also very accommodating when it comes to orders, including removing parts of a dish that may not suit the customer. They’re also quite engaging when you come in which makes a change to other Chinese takeaways we’ve tried in the past!The only real downside are their sauces - very watery and bland! My satay sauce was thin and largely tasteless unless you gulped down a tablespoonful of the stuff and even then the peanut taste was barely noticeable. Likewise the sauces in another couple dishes which we ordered. As I say, most of the food here is up to a good standard, so hopefully then can bring their sauces up that level too.

Order 3 meals all different whit chips and rice the only thing that wasn't burnt was the portion of rice Realy poor nobody couldn't eat it was so badly cooked Will.not be back

We used this takeaway during our holiday in Elgin and were all really impressed. If we lived nearer we’d definitely go again. Thanks for a lovely meal!

Simply the best Chinese take away in Elgin.

Bought plain noodles very simple. They were chewy/c"ctough and very dry as if they were old and reheated. Also sauce is normal very very hot but from here was barely hot through container. This is an honest review. Although I got a refund without question is my only positive.

The worst chinseee I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve had hundreds and hundreds of Chinese’s. Please save yourself any hassle and go elsewhere if you’re passing by looking for a good chinese go to the cook house or china garden opposite the court house.

Lovely meal once again and swift service

We are up in Elgin for the weekend and love Chinese food we done plenty research and this looked like it was the one but oh we were really let down the ribs were short and grisly the lemon chicken came with cucumber,tomato,lettuce,pineapple & and lemon the sauce was bland the crispy shredded beef was as bad ☹️☹️☹️sorry we will not be back or recommend

One of the best meals I have ever had (special fried rice). A friend recommended I go there. She said that she never goes anywhere else, and has been using them for years.Service was quick and the chap behind the counter was just lovely. An absolute gem of a find!

Creo que el servicio y la gente que es muy probable que mantenernos regresar aquí, tanto como la comida. Gente muy agradable. La comida era buena y los precios eran normales para la zona. No tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo después de ordenar. Recomendado.

I decided to go here for a change after the "Cook House" let us down with a over salty meal, I can say I was pleasantly surprised, fast service and great food I now have a new favourite Chinese in town.

This Chinese is the best in town. Food is delicious( especially Singapore noodles) the staff are lovely and service very quick. I would highly recommend.

Vamos a menudo probar otras comida para llevar, hay diferencias en la forma en que las cocineros preparan las comidas dependiendo de donde se enteraron su arte. Algunos platos dulces y amargos o meins Chow varían de uno del otro. Este es uno que volveré porque sus comidas son sabrosos todo el año.

He estado utilizando feliz ciudad desde hace muchos años. Cuando vivía en mosstodloch como un niño, mi familia y yo nos conduzca por sólo para conseguir un decente. La calidad de la comida es excelente. Los Mels se llena de sabor y tienes un montón de carne que es cocinado a la perfección! El personal es amable y siempre nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos, y el tiempo de espera es de 10 a 15 minutos, lo cual es encontrar. Tengo que decir que tienen la mejor salsa salsa de ajo!

la mejor comida para llevar chino que he tenido desde comida, y que es más que unos pocos durante los últimos años. Hemos estado pidiendo desde que abrió sus puertas y la comida es excelente. Los familiares y amigos desde lejos y ancho también hablar sobre como ser la mejor.
