Thai Corner Dean Clough in Calderdale

Rang up to book a table, and within 30 mins, we were seated.(3.30pm Saturday).Table for two ,very warm welcome by all the ladies. Asked what drinks we would like within a couple of minutes from sitting. Excellent beer. They have large or small bottles of Singha. Ordered starters and mains , very accommodating as the sun was in my eyes, the young lady lowered the blind. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we will be back for our 5th visit . Also, free parking on weekends and evenings after a certain time..

The smash burger was very good, lots of flavour. The Nashville hot chicken strips were very disappointing, the meat itself was fine but the breading tasted burnt and no other flavours, the picture shows some sauce and other bits of dressing but it didn't come with any of that. This is the first time I've ordered from here so I don't know if this is typical or not, I'd advise sticking to the burgers.

This place is brilliant. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. The place is really pretty inside and I had a great time. (p.s. I asked for my dish to be spicy, they didn't disappoint 😅)

Oh my goodness one of the best Thai places I have ever been to. The ambience is also amazing, the venue is very inviting and just beautiful. Service exceptional, even with few team members. I live a good 50 mins away and would definitely travel to eat here. Free parking right out the front. I would recommend booking as it seems popular, no surprise there! I would very much recommend the soup

Lovely food and the staff were very helpful with my wife’s dietary restrictions.

The food, location and ambiance of the restaurant was good, unfortunately the service was very slow. It took 40 minutes for the starters to come out, and another hour after that before the mains came out, and even then, the staff had to be reminded to bring out the full order. The staff did apologise for the meal taking so long, but at no point did they offer a complimentary drink, or snacks, to fill in the gaps. Staff were polite, but not particularly attentive.

Screamed 'oi' at children for making any sort of noise. Incredibly rude staff. Pay extra to sit in for them to expect silence from their customers and actually shout at young kids. Food was horrendous too. Do not recommend. Situated in a busy market place and yet can't seem to cook if any noise is surrounding the staff. Joke.

Why do I keep coming back here. Let me tell you. The staff are just the best. Whether we are here every week or once a month A & O always know us always pleased to see us. And then there is the food. Consistently always perfect. I’m a bore I have the same salmon dish and it’s the same. My partner always has the Tom yum soup (prawn) and it’s as it was the last time. We have are own business in hospitality and here is always a bench mark of what and how we want to achieve. So for me. If you want a nice relaxed chilled evening look no further. This is the best place in Halifax and surrounding to eat.

Fantastic little restaurant serving amazing dishes. The starters are well portioned and the mains are exquisite. The "beer towers" are a great table feature and suit the food. Staff are super attentive and friendly. Great little find in Halifax.

We ordered from the Tapas Early Bird Special menu (plus the children's menu), and I'd highly recommend it! It was such good value for money. The starters and mains we had were cooked perfectly, the duck in oyster sauce which I had was lovely and tender. The only downside was the chips were quite oily. There was a bit of a wait for the food but it was a full house, and a nice vibe. I'll definitely go back to try more!

Wasn’t worth £40 , pad Thai was over cooked & chicken satay was dry and burned as was the duck spring rolls, Thai green chicken curry was very good! Won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately- very disappointed

A little gem of a place nestled under the historic Dean Clough mill. Friendly, efficient service, in a beautiful Thai setting. The food was magnificent and large quantities for a very reasonable price. Attention to detail was fabulous. A must try for fans of Asian cuisine.

Food bland and tastless, came late by 25 minutes. When it came our prawns consisted of 3 overcooked prawns for £6.50. Fishcakes undercooked and the chips were dry and lacked flavour and also had carrots in to which my mother is allergic to them, authentic Thai wouldn't have them in do Thai people use carrot for their chips?.Really gone downhill from how it used to be. As my wife is Thai and knows Thai cuisine she knows the flavours and she was upset to see how her culinary culture has been ruined just to be covered by some basic satay sauce. Contacted Just eat to receive a refund. In future my wife has just said she'll cook as there are no quality Thai places anymore. Very upsetting!

Oh, now Thai Corner is one of our favourite places to eat out. The standard of food is exceptional, bursting with flavour. Fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared and piping hot. The staff are second to none, brilliant with the kids, and we are always given a warm welcome. They have recently added some beautiful decoration to the already stylish decor, which looks fantastic as you enter and look around. Topped off by a vast and free car park, it's a must visit spot for any foodie.

Very disappointed. Portions sizes reduced. Starters now only 3 pieces. But the same price???maybe new owners??? Pad Thai use to be twice the size. People are going to recognise this and go elsewhere.

First time using Thai Corner and couldn’t be more satisfied. Collected from restaurant and even after 10-15 minute journey home, all we’d ordered was still piping hot. Not just hot but delicious as well. Will definitely order again and highly recommend.

Thai Corner struggled to find our farm house, but they got here in the end. The Thai food was the best we have ever tasted and we are so grateful they found us. Thank you

Loved the meal at the Thai corner! Went for my father's 50th birthday on his request, it was amazing. The food was amazing, the staff were great - always very helpful and friendly, and the place was lovely with candles and friendly atmosphere. Love to come again.

Got a take away from this place last night and things didn't start well, with the food arriving 45mins earlier than I'd requested (with an infant in the house timing is important), so I was ready to write a negative review. But I can't! The food was so good. Special mention goes to the veggie spring rolls were handmade, chunky and full of tasty filling and the Tom Kha Noodle Soup was stunning, with the lemongrass and coconut making a creamy rich broth. Hopefully the mix up with delivery was a one off. Looking forward to our next order.

Lovely food I had chicken pad tia

I was disappointed. We have ordered from Thai corner a few times and have always loved it but tonight it was below average. The pad Thai noodles were in one big clump and it was cold. I understand it’s Friday eve but maybe don’t take orders on just eat if they are too busy to give out good quality. Very disappointed

Has a meal of 'tapas' type five different Thai dishes, so we could taste lots of Thai foods. It is the best Thai restaurant we found locally. Really good food.

I really like this place, great staff and great tasting food. Its not a big place but its great for a family of 4 to enjoy a great meal.

The food is normally outstanding from here, and whilst the flavours were exceptional as always, by partner and I found tonnes of shards of bone and cartilage, making it really difficult to eat safely. We’re not sure which dish contained then, because we’d kinda mixed everything in our bowls before eating, so that was a shame.

Nearly 5 stars but, the tables were sticky and that drove me crazy. I absolutely hate sticky furniture in a restaurant. Other than that, it was a very nice place worth visiting. We'd return

Food arrived late, understandable Friday night, and I was kept informed, but the food was'nt hot and had to be reheated. The quality of the food is amazing, but I don't expect to reheat a meal I've ordered in, so I don't have to cook. C

Had one of their Bottomless Brunch deals on a Saturday afternoon with some work colleagues. I went for 4 dishes from their 'Tapas Style' menu with a few bottled beers. Food was okay if a little uninspiring compared to other Thai restaurants I've been to, but I put that down to it being clearly prepared for the 'Bottomless Brunch Crowd'. I suspect their full menu is a lot better and I've made a mental note to revisit for the full experience. Overall a good afternoon in nice surroundings.

Been here 4 times and loved it each time!! If you are a party of 3, I recommend ordering the Bankok Banquet for 2, there's plenty of food to share and we always end up with leftovers. The real star of the show is the Tom Yum Soup. Always amazing, it never disappoints. The spiciness is never overwhelming and more warming. The flavour is deep and complex - salty, tomatoey, light, fresh, but also wholesome. If you have some leftover, it's still great warmed up the next day since the chicken and the mushrooms in the soup absorb the flavour. For me, service is a 5 star. Sometimes they are busy and the staff may take slightly longer to get to you, but that's expected in any small restaurant!

The staff were great and the food was good. The star of the show was the crispy belly pork starter, which was delicious.

Had a lovely meal here before going to a music concert. The staff were very happy and welcoming, and quick. The food didn't disappoint and the atmosphere was lovely... a really mixed crowd! The seating areas are big enough to cope with romantic tables for two at the same time as a kids birthday party! Definitely worth a try. ;) Parking is reasonable, and even free at weekends

Decided to try here on a whim fancying something new, I'm glad I gave them a go. Absolutely beautiful meal, particularly want to shout out the Prawn crackers O-Sha and broccoli with garlic sauce/ginger/chilli, phenomenal dishes.

Hardly any dip for the spring rolls and the curry had a thick layer of grease so much that the curry underneath was a different colour, watery consistency and peppers were soggy so not the best this time

Food is absolutely delicious - I had the Sample Plate to start (chicken satay, fish cake, veg spring roll, tempura prawn, chicken wing, pork dumpling) and the Gang Kua Goong (red curry base with prawns and pineapple) with jasmine rice for my main. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were spot on. The staff were polite. My only gripe was that the service was slow (there seemed to be only 2 waitresses for the whole restaurant on a busy Friday night), and they automatically added a 10% service charge to the bill. Had the service been better, we wouldn’t have minded paying it, but we were there about 3 hours for a starter and a main.

After being very disappointed with a previous order (my first from here) I thought I'd give them another chance. The food was much better this time. Still won't be ordering too often from here though due to the hit and miss food quality - the price isn't worth the gamble.

Great place for a Sunday afternoon hit of spice and flavour. Food always really good - service excellent - and we love the decor - part old mill and part Bangkok. Free parking right outside on Sundays too. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Booked for a birthday meal 6 weeks in advance...arrived on the night to be told they had no table for us despite it being half empty. They then sent one of the wait staff outside to us as we waited for taxis to tell us they had found a table....not a bloody chance..defiately recommend you do not go near this place...there are other thai restaraunts in town who arent up their own arses and lie to customers.

Perfect place for supper when you're booked into Travelodge- which is 100m away AND free parking. Food was well presented and very tasty. Service was efficient and very friendly. Five stars given for food even though the spring rolls were cold, because when we mentioned it there was an instant offer of a replacement but we asked for money off the bill. Would strongly recommend. Beautiful building.
