The food as this place is amazing and not doubting that at all. We are regular customers at this restaurant. We took some new friends and they didn’t have a good experience. Our friends chair collapsed whilst eating and he fell to the floor. The staff member came put the chair aside and didn’t come back with a new chair or even ask if our friend was ok. So rude and heartless. I friend suffered a big bruise on his back. Just think thru we’re not compassionate at all. Pure rudeness.

We have been here many times now and loved it everytime - so much so we have booked to take the family on friday for my husbands birthday :-) Would highly recommend you try this place (PS The Sea Bass is excellent!)

We went here for a birthday celebration meal. All our meals were delicious and the service was really friendly. The staff brought out some complimentary deserts with candles and sang happy birthday at the end. I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant and will definitely also order take away from here in the future

Very nice local Thai with tasty freshly prepared food. I had the beef massaman curry which was flavoursome and had chunks of beef that were not tough and chewy. The staff were very attentive and polite, will definitely return as it was also good value too!

We have visited Ran Thai many times so far. We last picked up a takeaway from there a few days ago and it was excellent, as always.

Visited with my husband for date night, food was lovely and the service was prompt. Well there was only a couple of other diners in as it was a Wednesday night. We will return with others as we really enjoyed the food.

Waited 20 mins for a drink order and left after nobody came to serve us. This could have been a good place to eat but the service really let us down.

We moved away 7 months ago and so when visiting we returned for the first time for a long time and it was excellent with very nice service. The menu has improved in some areas. So a lovely evening before a long drive home.

We went last night back to Ran Thai Cafe after their refit. It was great. The staff are excellent, very efficient and entertaining. The menu has been reduced in terms of dishes available but all of the old favourites are still there. I had the roast duck and pad thai, I was hungry, both dishes were superb. Great value for money, superb food in a charming environment.

Best Thai food I had in London. Visited Ran Thai after a couple of months, as we were told the restaurant was going under refurbishment. As a regular customer, coming all the way from Croydon I can say that the quality of food and service has remained unchanged despite the new management. Finest Thai cuisine and excellent service received throughout our entire time there. Every dishes were delicious and was served quickly, especially for a busy Saturday evening. They even treated us for desert after learning that it was my husband’s birthday ! The sea bass is a must. I look forward to our next visit.

It’s my second time in this pretty little restaurant and was even better than my first time if that’s possible!!! The starters where on point! The Pad Thai to die for and the service extra friendly if nothing not to like about this place!

We’re so happy Ran Thai is open again. We love the food there: good value, fresh and oh so tasty! And to make the whole experience even better the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It’s always good to support a local business as well so definitely well worth a visit.

Yay! It's finally reopened and, no - as the overly grumpy review below ( 'Not the same...' ) has it - it isn't quite the same as before, but give them a chance! The food - once it came - was very tasty and the service was friendly. To make up for the lengthier-than-usual wait, our drinks were left off the bill ( a nice gesture ). On the Thursday we went, they'd clearly underestimated how busy they'd be and were clearly struggling. However, reinforcements were eventually drafted in and the pace picked up nicely. We'll certainly be back in a few weeks, by which time hopefully it'll be more of a well-oiled machine. The 'new' Ran Thai deserves to succeed, so give them your patience and support.

It’s under new management but food is the same which is very nice. It’s the best Thai and I am glad it’s open again. Place was packed and I have to give benefit on Wednesday night you wouldn’t expect so many people. Staff is very polite, reasonable prices and food is lovely. 5 out of 5

Been going here for years, it’s just reopened under new management and the food is still as fantastic as it was before. Sure, the service could have been better but this is their first week and I’m sure they were not expecting it to be as busy as it has been. I am sure that after a couple of weeks the staff will find their feet and the service will be as great as the food. Would definitely recommend anyone to try this place.

A small, busy and long-running restaurant. Has been in Hanwell for years whilst others come and go. Friendly and welcoming staff and flavoursome food with good portions. Lots of parking in the evenings. ££

Delicious, authentic Thai food and great service.

I went with my brother, nephew and his fiancée, the booking process was a bit vague but we need not have worried. We were greeted with wonderful hospitality which continued throughout the meal. The menu was sufficiently extensive and the staff were eager to please.

El personal tailandés dirigía no podría haber hecho más bienvenido. El restaurante estaba lleno, lo cual es siempre una buena señal un martes por la noche, pero a pesar de ello, el personal apurando su pies tuvimos trato atento. Toda la comida era absolutamente maravilloso, especialmente los fideos Pad thai, delicioso! La gente de W7 tienen la suerte de tener este pequeño restaurante en su puerta.

Los dos de nosotros tuvimos bebidas (cerveza/vino), entrantes (pescado, pasteles, tempura), plato principal (fideos thai pad/arroz frito) y un postre de buñuelos de banana compartida (por 40 libras, que creo que tiene una gran relación calidad-precio. Teníamos más que suficiente, en realidad tenía problemas de última pieza racor de churro banana en boca, pero sólo tenía, eran tan buenos! Todo estaba tan estupenda, que me olvidé de tomar fotos! Sin duda merece la pena una visita!

We came here to celebrate with the whole family. We absolutely LOVE Thai food and seeing the reviews we came to this place despite our cousins recommendation to go to another restaurant.

Fantástico restaurante tailandés local. Personal muy acogedor y encantador. Fuimos en un jueves por la noche y estaba bastante concurrido. La comida era auténtica cocina tailandesa y los sabores eran increíbles. Nuestra camarera era encantador y servicial. El Postre helado de hielo estaba fuera de este mundo - tuve el pistacho y pandan sabor, no puedo recomendar lo suficiente.

Have been coming here for years excellent place friendly owner, just lacks the ambiance needs some background authentic thai music as opposed the sometimes radio playing even just to liven it up a little. Great place nonetheless just hearing other peoples convos is not great when having a meal.. 5*

This restaurant was recommended by a work colleague. We checked it out on trip advisor and couldn’t believe the reviews. After visiting tonight, we can say they are justified. Food and service was excellent, it’s a small restaurant with very friendly staff and beautiful, tasty food. Another surprise was the bill which was quite reasonable. I’m sure this will become one of our favourite restaurants.

Visited on a Wednesday evening and it was packed luckily we had booked. We ordered red chicken curry...chicken larb. ..pork with basil and some pad thai noodles. Everything was fantastic served quickly and piping hot. ....been here a few times and we have never been disappointed. Reasonable prices and decent wine....look forward to our next visit.

Been lots of times to the Thai Cafe, now called Ran Thai Cafe: the food is always fantastic and equally the service too.Watch out for busy times, best to book for Fridays and Saturdays, although they'll always do their best to fit you in! Fabulous!

Myself and my family are regulars here, and: it is the BEST place. A real sweet neighbourhood Thai place, with the loveliest owner in the world. If you become regulars, he will offer you drinks on the house (he always does). The real deal, especially the Jungle Curry. A gem to discover, but you need to book!

Visited for the second time this evening. After my last visit I was very impressed with the lovely flavours and friendly service; I left again with the same impression. I've not found much in the way of good food in this area but this is an exception. Well worth a visit if in the area. I'm looking forward to some warmer weather to better suit a spicy jungle curry washed down with a cold Chang. Delicious.

I found this by accident and so glad I did. Unassuming Thai café that serves good quality delicious food. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Lovely décor. Cosy and quaint and amazing value. It will be a firm favourite from now on.

Haven't been here since it changed owners and we loved the food..we ordered a red chicken curry. ..chicken larb...and pork with basil. ...everything was well cooked and tasted delicious including 2 portions of rice and a good bottle of wine the bill was less than £50. We will be back ASAP

Have visited this gem twice now. Absolutely delightful. The food is delicious and perfectly spiced. The curries are divine....I'm craving one now. The service is very attentive and they take great care to make you feel at home. Will be coming back soon....

Passed by this place many times but never felt tempted to visit. My wife mentioned it last week so decided to give it a go. Booked a table as knew it was quite small inside - this turned out to be a very good idea as the place filled up quickly during the evening, with people who appeared to be a) locals and b) regulars - greeted warmly by the manager / owner - always a good sign. Food was consistently delicious, perfectly cooked, fresh and beautifully presented. A great local find, which we will definitely re-visit soon.

Been coming to this restaurant for the past 6 months for their lunch deal.Manager is always welcoming and polite.They do a great lunch from Thursday through Sunday, great value and most of all very tasty.Some of the tastiest Thai food I've had.Would definitely recommend a visit if your in the area for lunch or dinner.

This is a nice little restaurant, it changed hands a few years ago and the food has just got better and better. My favorite Thai restaurant in London. Hanwell is only know for a few things, the Hanwell Hootie, the oldest carnival in London, The Fox pub and very soon I think people will go there for the Ran Thai restaurant. starters are all amazing, in fact I end up eating so much I can't eat the main course. All the portions are a healthy size. It is worth booking as occasionally I have been turned away as they are fully booked. (It was turning people away new years eve).

I have visited the restaurant on three occassions now, and i have not been disappointed once. On my last visit, i took some friends that were visiting from Australia for lunch, and they loved the food (the manager seated us even though it was past the lunch timings). The food is excellent and more importantly delicious. The portions are of a decent size and there is a good selection to choose from the menu. The place is small and cosy and can easily be missed, if you are passing by from the outside. If you happen to look online for the place, it is also listed as Ran Thai in Hanwell and can be confusing. There is car parking available at the back, which doesn't cost alot. The service you get is excellent and they are always willing to try and accommodate.

Since our first visit in October we have visited this restaurant once in November and once in December - both times with different friends who have loved the food and the service. The portions are a good size and we enjoy the flavours. Good place to eat if you are part of a group or a couple. What would be great is a delivery service! Keep up the great work.

We visited this restarurant to celebrate a birthday. I mentioned this whilst booking. When we arrived they had but decorations up for a birthday - a nice touch. The food and service were very good. They were really friendly. The food was lovely and suited the very mixed pallettes visiting that day. I would have prefered some of the dishes to be spicier but that is personal preference and next time we visit I will definately ask them to spice up my particular dishes. At the end of the meal they brought out complimentary dessert for the birthday which was a really nice touch. We would definetly visit again. There is a car park at the back of the building. I hope they look at getting a delivery service introduced as I would like to have food delivered from here!

My partner and I visit this place on a regular basis, in fact we can't get there often enough for our liking! We've been going for years, the last time on Saturday night (8th August) and as always, the food was amazing. In fact I think it's fair to say it's got better over the years and since the recent re-fit/rename it seems to have gone to a different level. The menu is limited, but what they do, they do brilliantly, and having been to Thailand twice we feel the food is as authentic as it comes. The staff are great - helpful and polite. You can also get a half decent bottle of wine at a reasonable price and they offer a range of bottled beer. All in all the tastiest, best value for money Thai meal you could ask for! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

We have eaten here numerous times on a couples date night and also with our teenage son. The food is always very good, spicy with excellent flavours. The staff and service is always professional and friendly. This is an absolute favour of ours, which is highly recommended.

My wife and I have always fancied paying the Thai Cafe a visit and had heard some mixed reviews and a lot of "It's ok". Apparently new owners took over the place and renamed the 'Thai Cafe' to the 'Ran Thai Cafe' in the time we have lived in the area. With new owners and a desire to try somewhere we hadn't been before we thought we'd give Ran Thai a go having not been to the previously owned Thai Cafe in the Clocktower area of Hanwell.My wife and I visited Thailand recently so didn't hold high expectation but were pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious, I have a few minor qualms but all in all for a local place outside of central London, it's brilliant and quite authentic. For appetisers we had Satay, Prawns In Blankets and Thai Fishcakes. All of which were true to Thai cuisine, however the Satay seemingly lacked much peanut flavour even in the peanut sauce! Something that might require a little work, but all in all the chicken was decent and cooked to perfection.The Pad Thai was a little on the mushy side, but was incredibly flavoursome and generous. I had Chicken in Chilli Oil which was incredibly tasty, a bit of an overload of onion in the dish, but a nice selection of other veg in their to such as baby corn, green beans and carrot. The coconut rice wasn't coconutty at all.The service was also incredibly pleasant a made for a nice evening! We'll be back!

Definitely bringing tastes of Thailand to Hanwell! Extremely friendly staff, very accommodating especially if you are planning a special event - they will help you with selecting the menu and respond really well even for extra requests, such as getting coconut water that is not on the menu. Absolute favourite restaurant, highly recommended.
