Nipa Thai in City of London, Westminster

We were a party of 6 friends staying in the hotel for the England v Scotland game the following day. We chose one of the set menus on offer on the Nipa website and it was an excellent choice with a number of starters followed by a good selection of main couses that everyone could sample and enjoy. Very friendly service from Kaseam and his team and even chef Sanguan stopped by our table to say hello. If only the result at the game the following day had been so good.....

Great authentic Thai cuisine with great hospitality from all the staff who involved. The restaurant atmosphere gives welcoming and comfortable vibe, which is very suitable for relaxing yet proper evening mail experience Thai food is well known for its spicy origin however, they indicated very well on the menu and the level of the spiciness was enjoyable

We were well looked after from start to finish by the staff. The food was amazing and I'd love to come again. The surprise at the end was very thoughtful as we were celebrating. 5 star service all round!

We came here for valentine's and had the set menu, every dish was so good, well presented and full of flavour. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and put a custom valentines message on my girlfriend dessert 🥰 10/10 We will be doing a food blog on IG and Tiktok tomorrow: Nishandmarv ✨

I went here recently to celebrate my birthday and it was quite lovely. The host who was looking after us was quite irritated and just seemed very uninterested to communicate with us. Perhaps they were just having a bad day. The food arrived very quickly, but we had to wait quite a while for the cocktails. The dish I would most definitely go back for - Kaeng Ka Ree Gai! The creamy texture of this curry was insane. I just wish they had an extra large portion!! They gave complementary birthday treats and candle, which was very sweet. There was nice background music going on, but it was in general very quiet mellow atmosphere for dinner.

The welcome from their staff was warm and inviting. The food was delectable. We sampled new things on the menu. We would not normally have done soap. Everything was delicious. The lychee martini was not to be missed!!

Nipa Thai ticks all the boxes for the perfect Thai restaurant from the warm greeting on arrival to all levels of table service - we had a very knowledgeable sommelier and of course the restaurant itself - it feels as if you are in Bangkok. Noy always makes us feel special and Kasim is the epitome of professionalism - and a lovely chap😊 As for the special menu Sanguan, the Head Chef, prepared every dish was exquisite - which they always are.

Excellent food and great service I would highly recommend. And will definitely return thanks so much for an excellent evening celebrating my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday.

I recently visited Nipa Thai and had a great experience overall. The food was exceptionally good, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. We enjoyed our dinner experience in Napi Thai. The quality of the ingredient was very good and portions are generous. We felt quite full after the 2 starters. Dishes are well cooked and presented and full of in-depth flavour. It is always difficult to find good Thai cuisine even in London. Napi Thai definitely one of the better ones out there. Worth a try and a pleasant place to have dinner. Staff are great too.

The most authentic thing about this restaurant - were the staff- food was bland from start to finish - beef was fatty - left nearly the whole main dish but I wasn’t even asked if everything was ok. If this wasn’t in a hotel- I doubt it would be in business . Everything seemed toned down in flavour- it just wasn’t Thai as it’s supposed to be - and pricey too- There are better Thai restaurants in London - for taste and value for money

Lovely food, beautifully presented, with generous portion sizes—truly the real deal for authentic Thai cuisine. Every bite was a delight! The only downside was the miserable weather and the hefty £30 parking charge, but the meal itself was worth it.

We dined in this restaurant with a few friends. The quality of starters were very standard but the main course was a different experience. I had sea bass with petit aubergine… absolutely delicious Dessert was amazing as there was different taste in every dish. Staff are quite in rush for serving the food and clear up.

This review is based on my experience at the restaurant on my previous birthday. I have got a warmly welcome upon arrival and was seated at the table I requested for. Food is hot and well presented. However, the signature dish seemed to be not beautifully outstanding as before. Nevertheless, we are totally satisfied and highly appreciated by the service provided. Highly recommended.

How can I find superlatives enough to describe Nipa Thai? But then I am conflicted. I have travelled in Thailand a lot over the years and have fallen in love with its food and its people. Nipa Thai is a shining beacon for both. The food is mouthwatering (Don't miss the soft-shell crab!) and the staff are a wonderful advertisement for their country. Led by the two best Maitre d'Hotels in London they are attentive, gracious, efficient and all have that wonderful warm welcoming smile that is unique to Thai people. In short if you come to London and don't dine at Nipa Thai, you have seriously missed out!

It’s all 5* ++++ I’ve been coming to Nipa for many years now and the food is of an outstanding quality, great specials and always with attentive service. I am a regular visitor to this restaurant right in the heart of Hyde Park . They consistently deliver on Food , Service and extremely friendly staff. For lovers if Thai food , this is a must.

We had a very nice dinner here celebrating my daughter’s graduation. However, £200 for dinner with no alcohol is a lot.

I was staying in a hotel nearby and came here on the recommendation of one of the managers there. I have had the best thai food ever and I will be back here again on my future visit to london. The bar is lovely and the staffs are class beyond.

You must serve all dishes to all clients at the same time. A wait of almost 10 mins for the last client to receive their meal is not good.

Good service. Good food but the meat is little bit dry for Asian people. Overall is good. Will come again to try the desserts.

Amazing service and delicious food. This was our first visit and wont be the last. The whole set up of the restaurant is very tasteful. We had the fish cakes, satay chicken, massaman curry and chicken stir fry. Each dish was amazing and they give good portions, so you will leave full! We had a quiet table at the back for the 3 of us and next time we will book more in advance to get a window table. The restaurant was busy which is good to see. Again the staff were so friendly and welcoming I wish we had got their names.

Exceptional food, exceptional service, above and beyond kindness, lovely dining atmosphere, and very welcoming to us despite the fact we were dressed very casually for such a nice restaurant. Very attentive and lovely staff, wonderful food and reasonable sized portions but a bit pricy. The restaurant is on the first floor of the Royal Lancaster hotel, overlooking the Bayswater Road and Hyde Park and we were seated in the window.

Took my family to celebrate my uncle's 70th birthday and had an amazing experience. The head chef Sangwan was amazing and the food was incredible, even willing to adjust the spice level for some of us. The manager Kaseem was also very kind and welcoming. All the waiters that served our table were also all very friendly and professional, easy to make conversation with and able to talk us through each dish. Looking forward to going back again.

Celebrated my father’s 70th birthday and we are overjoyed to choose Nipa for this special occasion. We had delicious food and the cake that we have preordered was amazing! The team always looks after us especially the restaurant manager Kaseem and head chef Sangwan, we will be back soon.

We booked a table in advance for 5 people and they arranged it for us, near the window which is the best place of this send floor restaurant. The service was perfect and the food was extremely good. This is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in London.

Well, as a experience vistor to Thailand, this place is a taste of Thailand no doubt. Eating the food I felt I was in back in Thailand while a view of Hyde Park through a giant glass window. What a place. Look forward to visiting again.

One of the best Thai restaurants in London, could not recommend more! The staff are incredibly talented, being polite, efficient and friendly, and the venue is simply fantastic, with a suiting atmosphere and attention paid to the minute detail, already with the hotel being in the Royal Lancaster Hotel, one can assume that the aesthetics will match the overall aesthetic of the hotel, but it had its own personality. We ordered a prawn pad thai, a classic which was just great, the Chicken and aubergine green curry, which was the perfect level of spicy and creamy and coconut ice cream to balance it, which was the perfect level of sweet, and served in a coconut shell. Would recommend!

Chic and stylish Thai restaurant perched over Lancaster Gate overlooking the trees lining Hyde Park. Service was exemplary, food (especially the chicken and cashew nuts) very enjoyable and the ambience culturally warm and welcoming. Will certainly be returning.

I celebrated my birthday on Friday 26th July, with 14 friends and family, and it was a roaring success, thanks to the team at the Royal Lancaster hotel. We had drinks in the Park Lounge bar just outside Nipa Thai, and then moved into the restaurant just outside the bar. We were seated at the window overlooking Hyde Park. The restaurant is lovely. We had the Jasmine set meal, and the food was exquisite and service highly attentative. All my guests had a wonderful time and were raving about Nipa Thai. Thanks to the Tasha, the manager and staff for making this an absolutely memorable evening!

My partner and I had dinner at this restaurant because of the positive reviews, and since we were staying at the hotel we thought it was convenient and we were quite disappointed. The food was correct but nothing special in fact neither the prawns nor the meat were of good quality. The service was very slow and when we asked for chopsticks to eat, they gave us takeaway ones, we paid more than 100 pounds per cutlery, I think it is not recommended.

Nipa Thai is excellent. Located in the Royal Lancaster Hotel (not far from Paddington Station) and overlooking Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, everything about it is first-rate. The decor is comfortable and elegant. Service is attentive without being overbearing. The wine-and-liquor list is extensive. The food is delicious (degrees of spice/heat are indicated on the menu) and the portions are appropriate. Prices are reasonable. If you're in London and want Thai cuisine, this is the place to go.

As with many of the other reviews, the food was tasty, but they need more servers. It took 20 minutes before server came to take drink orders; 20 minutes to get them, and while eating, the food is spicy and we had to chase down the waiter for water.

The place is actually inside the Royal Lancaster hotel and it’s very nice and very clean. My husband and I got the hyde park view which you can see the Italian Garden and we both love it 😻 The food are amazing, the staff are very helpful and friendly they are mostly Thai people Staff. We probably go back to this place because we had a great time celebrating our wedding anniversary in Nipa Thai. ❤️🫶🏻🇬🇧🇹🇭☺️
