Thai Brasserie in Cheltenham

One of the best resturant meals I have had in a very long time! My friend & I went for lunch after a busy morning shopping & we both loved it. We ordered the crab & prawn pasta verde & it was excellent. The prawns were cooked to perfection & the pasta & sauce so tasty. A pudding & glass of wine completed our lunch. Everything from the service to the decor to the food was first class! We shall be returning very soon.

I feel that this restaurant is very relaxing. Sammy’s hospitality is very polite and has a friendly smile😊My husband and I have never tried a three-course meal. When we saw the dishes on the menu, there were many choices! It’s time to decide on the entrees and desserts! The dishes are beautifully presented and will whet your appetite. The taste is so good, delicious and hot. Desserts include cheesecake which changes every day. My husband and I both finished all three dishes, it was so perfect. Will definitely come again to try French food again. Thank you🙏🏻

Excellent fare and warm welcome.

Absolutely amazing, best food we have had in England so far ! Ask for the Brad burger, they don’t have a burger on the menu but the chef made one from scratch for me. The Chicken plate and the Pork tenderloin was also perfect. The mushroom appetizer has so many flavors. This a must top for food and quaint atmosphere. They are very reasonably priced. They have a lunch and learning two and three course meal that is priced very reasonably. The chef came out 3 times to talk with us, such nice people. Last but not least is the deserts. If you like cheese cake it’s must. We visit this area again in 6 months we will 100% be back. 🥂🍽️🍺🥃🍷

Good tasty dishes and a nice atmosphere.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Great options for gluten and dairy free meals which was perfect for a member of our party. Everything we had was excellent and the service was super friendly. We can’t wait to come back.

Came here for a quiet 30th birthday celebration. Unfortunately, it was the same day as the Cheltenham races, there was a booking in the same room as us with about 16 people who had clearly been at the races all day and were very very drunk. Given this was meant to be a nice relaxing restaurant, I am not sure why they let in a really obnoxious and drunk group. The group were shouting and chanting and standing up and making 'toasts' every 2 minutes and also going into the kitchen. They were also walking around and being rude to staff and other customers and taking ornaments of the shelves. One of the group told me he would take me outside (I assume he meant to fight?). Staff continued to fuel them with 'extra' strong cocktails. Completely ruined the evening, and we got out of there ASAP. Considering I almost paid 40 quid for two beers and a small plate of pasta, you would at least expect a nice relaxing evening. Obviously, the restaurant can't control the behaviour of the group, but I'm surprised they didn't say anything about their behaviour/ask them to leave. Guess as long as they are spending money they don't care...

Fresh and tasty food. Excellent and attentive staff. Most enjoyable lunch in a lovely atmosphere.

Delicious food and good value - the restaurant was a little cold

Visited this evening for Valentine's dinner. Food and service was exceptional. I found the waiting staff to be attentive yet patient. Only downside was the incredibly rude couple opposite us who wanted to be treated as if they were the only table in the restaurant. Staff dealt with them is such a professional manner. Would 100% recommend. Lamb shank was amazing! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We had a wonderful Christmas meal!

Booked for Christmas Day lunch. Apprehensive as first Christmas lunch in a restaurant but the CB did not disappoint. Food was exquisite, simply sublime. Every course was amazing! The staff and service were excellent. They were attentive and saw to our every need with a smile and politeness. Simply a divine experience and completely worth the money. Thank you CB for making our Christmas Day family lunch a memorable one. Highly highly recommended!!

Service was poor as was the Attitude of the staff once you challenged them about the service they just blank you the manager was very rude

Lovely fillet steak, cooked perfectly. Very stingy with the blue cheese sauce though. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Pecan pie dessert was nice but a bit lacking in flavour. Would go back.

Had great fixed menu lunch today Wednesday 11 th December, value for money 100% and ser vise excellent, top marks for quality and pricing

They went out of the way to please with off menu requests and did not rush us after closing time. Highly recvommended

My friend treated me to their set lunch, and it is very reasonably priced for the quality of food that you receive. The staff are efficient yet friendly and the food excellent. Can recommend this place.

We had a lovely lunch marking a family celebration at Chelsea Brasserie. Great food, attentive staff and very accommodating to the kids and range of allergies in the group.

Lovely place for a quality meal in a great location. Just as a brasserie should be - classy but not pretentious. They do even had a children's menu, so it's a great place to bring older kids for a 'grown up' meal out. Excellent dishes and a great wine list.

What a lovely find! This is a lovely restaurant- really friendly, polite, attentive staff, who couldnt do enough for you. Great ambience - very relaxing & classy restaurant. Menu choice was really good & both the presentation & quality of the food & pairings of tastes was excellent - we had the crab Bruschetta, mushroom arancini to start with & then the venison & Pork loin. Finished with chocolate fondant & sticky toffee pudding. We also had a really lovely Malbec Bonardo & liquer coffees to end with - all excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant & look forward to returning.

What a find this was ...while there was not many diners (week after JAZZ WEEK!!! always quiet )the service of the waiters more than made up for the lack of others ,friendly ,interesting and funny . The food was absolutely deliouse so many flavours that surprised your palette ,definately will be paying a return visit .

90th birthday celebration May 2nd, 2024 We recently had the good fortune of finding a gem of a restaurant in Cheltenham, where we enjoyed a two course lunch, expertly cooked by the talented chef. I was incredibly impressed with the kind interest demonstrated by the manager Summy. Any request I made before the big day was met with a smile. The food was truly scrumptious, the service outstanding, and everyone commented on the perfect location in Montpellier. There was one member of staff, who even spent time looking after our 19 month old grandson, and accordingly, he was as happy as the rest of the party! Thank you do much Summy. You could not have done more to make this special occasion a memorable one! We highly recommend your establishment. Anna Phillips

We had a party for my husbands 65th birthday last week . We love the Chelsea Brasserie . The food is amazing , beautifully presented just the right size and the taste wow! . I had chicken skewers, delicious and the sea bream was to die for . Sammy who manages it is lovely and it was such an easy experience for us organising for 15 people , as Sammy is so efficient.. This was our 2nd party there in the beautiful private room upstairs. We have also had several lunches there too . Everyone is so friendly it has a lovely ambience and doesn’t break the bank . I look forward to going again soon. Keep up the good work .

A traditional restaurant with attentive and friendly service. The food is excellent and very well presented. Prices are reasonable, particularly for the lunch and early evening 2/3 course menu. A very nice place to visit for either a small group or an intimate tete a tete

I visited the Chelsea Brasserie as a guest at a 80th birthday party, it was my first time there, I would certainly recommend this place. The staff were very pleasant and served the food very quickly and efficiently. A lovely atmosphere as well.

This is the second time I've had an office social at Chelsea Brasserie. The food is delicious (with dietary requirements very well catered for) and the service is excellent, even for large groups. We had a lovely, festive evening - many thanks and happy holiday wishes to the owner and staff!

The first visit to this restaurant and overall the food was great and service good. However, I was a little disappointed that the table we sat at was both draughty and cramped for room due to being seated by the front door and bar. I would definitely go back.

We had Sunday lunch here yesterday for my husbands 60th, what a lovely place, food was excellent, service fantastic & friendly.

We love dining at Chelsea Brasserie. The owner Sammy is the best, she is so welcoming and accommodating. Her staff is always professional and patient as we tend to have large parties. The food is great as well. I highly recommend this establishment, you won't be disappointed.

A really lovely meal! All aspects were very good.

Been going here since 2013 when it opened in town. Turned up for lunch at 1430 when service is advertised to end at 1400hrs. Quick check with the kitchen & a very good, slick 3 course followed. Do go.

A pleasant atmosphere and attentive staff made for a very enjoyable evening. I enjoyed all 3 courses of my meal, accompanied by a very smooth Shiraz. My daughter's vegetarian choices were not so palatable. When I sampled her half eaten main I found it bland and over spiced. My wife enjoyed her fish.

A truly excellent restaurant. Amazing, friendly service and delicious food. Loved how the chef himself delivered the main course to us. I asked him for salt and he brought me some but recommended I tried tasting first as they always try to make the seasoning perfect...and he was absolutely right. I didn't need to season it once as it was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I organised my office meal at the Chelsea Brasserie last Friday. Sammy, the owner, was incredibly helpful and accommodating in the lead up to the meal, offering a range of adaptable set menus to suit our budget. She was easy to get hold of, through texts, calls and emails, and made the whole process so easy. The meal itself was delicious, and the staff efficiently served the ~45 guests, and were all so friendly as well :) We had the whole upstairs room to ourselves, making it the perfect setting for a staff event. Highly recommend Chelsea Brasserie!

Celebrated my husbands 40th here with 27 friends, the food was superb, and service so attentive and helpful. Sammy was incredibly organised and flexible going above and beyond anywhere else I have experienced to help me organise the meal and evening. Cannot recommend enough for a family gathering or large group booking.

A big waste of time with so called restaurant! He doesn't know waiters from each other! You order from a waiter and he brings you the wrong order! Or just bring them to your partner! I do not recommend

We had an enjoyable lunch with nice light tempura fish starter and delicately cooked king prawns in the properly cooked linguine with a nice lemony sauce.

We had not planned to have dinner here, but we were very happy we did! Food was lovely and hot, which was great as the evening was very cold. Service was fantastic: food was served quickly. Would highly recommend.

Fab Cheltenham restaurant with a lunch menu that’s excellent value: £19.95 for three delicious courses. Convenient location at the top of Montpellier. Highly recommended.

I cannot speak highly enough of our dining experience this evening…. The food was absolutely A* and the icing on the cake was the amazing customer service !! I didn’t catch the owner’s name but she was phenomenal, not just by applying her own personal touch to our evening, but listening to her guiding and leading her staff (who were equally amazing) was heartwarming!! We will recommend this restaurant at every opportunity and will 100% return when we’re back in the area! ❤️

Came for lunch with members of my family who were over from Australia. They work in hospitality there and were very impressed with the Chelsea. Fabulous food, great wine selection, superb service. Always good.

I had a very lovely meal here on a quiet mid-week. The service was more akin to a fine dining restaurant, with expertly judged balance between attentiveness and privacy. The food was not only delicious but nicely presented and, even though I was dining alone, was brought out at a sensible frequency (I've eaten in other restaurants who bring out each course far too quickly). The wine list is well judged and sensibly priced, I particularly like the Rioja. Thank you for having me and I look forward to returning.

I had dinner at Chelsie Brasserie last week and I was left a bit disappointed by the service. I booked online and there was space available at 9.15pm, which I selected. I got the confirmation email and everything was fine, we even got there about 10 minutes earlier, but as soon as we sat down we felt a bit rushed. The waiter gave us the menu and came back to the table after a couple of minutes and when I said we were only ready for drinks he said it was ok but he would be back shortly for the food order because the kitchen closed at 9pm. Honestly, I doubt that the official website allows you to book at a time after the kitchen closing time and that wasn’t the best start. Considering the not so cheap price the food was alright but we weren’t left amazed, we were also charged for the olive oil and vinegar which we never asked for. On the other hand the cocktails were really nice, especially the amaretto sour.

We ate here for a work night out so we had a table of 8. Which they catered for superbly. The food was really excellent. I had Crab Crostini to start which had a very reasonable portion of crab and good ratio to the Crostini. The pickled veg below the crab were beautiful and really married the dish together with the acidity. I had Fillet Steak main course with parmisan truffle fries both were really very good. Cooked to perfection. With so many good brasseries in Cheltenham I think that Chelsea Brasserie is just that bit better. Certainly my favourite Brasserie meal in Cheltenham for a long time.

So pleased we booked this restaurant for our last night in Cheltenham. What a gem - good menu choice, each dish cooked perfectly, definitely recommend having three courses. Lovely friendly manager and chef/owner who is passionate about his craft. This restaurant should definitely be in the top 10.
