This place is/was hand's down the worst run business I've come across in London. We made the terrible mistake of continuing in, after two ladies warned us on their exit. We simply came in for a drink, so we figured "how bad could it be?" For those who want the cliff notes... TERRIBLE, *flashing warning signs* Do not waste your time or money. Now, on with the story... Sat at the bar immediately. Great start. Asked for drink menus. Received dinner menus. Ok... Five minutes later, we're finally graced with a pair of cocktail menus. Then we wait...keep in mind, it is NOT busy, the bartenders look like it's their first day on the job, and their snacks and bar stock are everywhere. It feels like a soft opening gone wrong. We finally get cocktails ordered and it's been roughly 10 minutes. The order: 2 Old Fashioneds, a whiskey on the rocks, and a Negroni. 15 minutes passes...2 bartenders seem to be lost. Bar manager seems lost. Floor manager... absolutely confused. Everyone with seniority appears to be learning on the job tonight. It feels like a hidden camera show things are so disorganized. Cocktails arrived. 2 watered down Old Fashions, a whiskey that was luckily ordered on the rocks, and some version of a simple Negroni. We have a birthday in the group, so we ask for a dessert menu. We're presented with a dinner menu again...no desserts. We kindly remind him. He acknowledges and continues a cocktail in progress. No cocktails and ten minutes of chatting with management later, I look for a menu. He notices, apologizes, and finds a drink menu. We're definitely waiting for the cameras at this point. This MUST be a TV skit. Finally, the oblivious manager type comes with a dessert menu. She's nice...but clueless. Five minutes more, we're ready to order. Cue clueless manager lady...we think she's taken the reigns to steer the ship back on course...nope. She's brought us dessert menus....again. We now have 5 dessert menus, 3 drink menus, and 4 dinner menus. Bravo...and tab please. I'm not sure how anyone who owns, runs, or is associated with this establishment could ever hold their head high in public, for this is a house of shame. Five minutes of training a team of squirrels, and you'd have better, more keen heads running it...and in such a highly rated hotel. WOW

Deepsa & Tushar were both extremely friendly & helpful. They were particularly attentive to our requests and made it a most pleasurable experience.

Attended on Sunday for the last of the Diwali bottomless brunch special. Fantastic selection of food options, the goat curry was a stand out dish. Special thank you to our waitress Jenny who was most attentive. Service for bottomless drinks can be improved, however overall a truly authentic & tasty menu. Worth a revisit. A lovely way to end the Diwali festivities and begin Christmas celebrations. Taj hotel always has a high standard and did not disappoint.

Undoubtedly, the best restaurant in London for Indian food. We stayed at the St.James Court for 3 days and opted for breakfast included room. We are so very happy we did this as we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast every single morning. Starting from their a-la-carte menu to buffet options to South Indian filter coffee, everything was perfect. We have always been greeted with the names at the entry, they remembered our names after first day. They remembered our regular orders as well. Special mention to Sudhish who made us feel overwhelmed during our stay, also to Rupinder for her kind farewell on our last day.

It’s was amazing I highly recommend it. Rupinder was wonderful. The food was amazing. The only bad thing is the door was left open sometimes which made it very cold.

Review of our breakfast experience at the taj hotel London, family of 6 including two children. 2/11/2024 The Indian buffet breakfast at the Taj Hotel in London was a memorable experience! The spread was impressive, offering a perfect blend of traditional Indian dishes and classic breakfast options. each dish was authentic and delicious. The spice levels and flavors were spot-on, clearly crafted with care. There is also a vast array of your usual English breakfast options which all equally tasted delicious and well presented. The service was exceptional as well—staff were warm, attentive, and eager to explain the dishes, making us feel very welcome. The setting was elegant, adding to the whole experience. This breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day; a real treat for anyone looking to experience authentic Indian flavors in a luxurious setting. Highly recommend! I do need to make a special mention our server. We had the pleasure of being served by Fatima, and we can’t speak highly enough about her! From the moment we sat down, her warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, always with a genuine smile and an incredible attention to detail. Fatima has an innate ability to anticipate her guests’ needs, and she effortlessly managed a busy restaurant while making us feel like we were her only table. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she clearly knows the menu inside out. Every question we had was met with insightful answers and her personal touches really enhanced our dining experience. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such a friendly demeanor. Fatima made our morning truly memorable, and we’ll definitely be back because of her exceptional service. Dined in for the Diwali bottomless brunch and really had a lovely time. Our server, Kaustaubh, was awesome. He was so attentive and diligent to ensure we had a lovely experience. My only criticism would be that the starters/nibbles were a bit of a miss. We had the garlic prawn, which really I was anticipating an Indian dish but instead it was a tiny scampi. Also, on the nibbles we had the goi con, which were flavorless and just tasted of the dash of mayonnaise on top. So to say that I still rated my experience as high as I did, is a testament to all the other elements with our server and just overall service leading the way.

We had an amazing experience as it was a Diwali treat. Deepa recommended us about the Thali and has good knowledge about food. Overall great, enjoyed.

What an incredible experience. We stayed here for a total of 5 nights, and Deepa was our server almost every day. She gave stellar recommendations, always had a smile on her face, and provided excellent information on the dishes. Will definitely return soon. Highly recommend to ask for Deepa if you choose to try it out.

It's an amazing fine dining experience serving authentic Indian cuisine. From the house of Taj group from India, each and every dish was made meticulously and yummylicious. We had Lamb Seekh Kebab, Chicken Reshmi Kebab and Chaat for starters. As part of the Diwali celebration, we were served with Thandai👌 as welcome drink. The Mains came as a complete royal thali treatment. The platter had Saag, Dum Aloo, Butter Chicken, Prawn Curry, Pilau Rice, Salads, Papad along with Butter Naan, Roti, and Paratha. The food just melted in our mouth. The hospitality was mind-blowing. Would highly recommend and definitely coming back soon.

Nice food, especially the Thali's from the different indian Regions, a bit spicy but not to much and just had such a nice Lady as a waitress, she was amazing & made my day 😁

I decided to try the hotel breakfast before heading into work and had a thoroughly pleasant experience. The restaurant had a very nice buffet-style spread of fruit, pastries, and savory items, in addition to entrée items that were available to order. My server was named Lucy and she was incredibly efficient, kind, and considerate, happily helping to clarify items on the menu and constantly checking up while I was dining. I would definitely recommend any guest staying in the hotel to give the restaurant a visit.

Lovely Diwali Brunch it was very tasty! We were celebrating a 30th Birthday. Excellent service with a lovely smile by Smruti. She was amazing very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend. Great surprises were given for the 30th celebration. Thank you and really appreciated. Definitely will come back soon.

My daughter and I are staying at the hotel and decided to pop in for a little evening treat. Absolutely magnificent Apple Mousse with apple and cinnamon centre. Presentation was amazing and the staff very warm and welcoming

The Taj Hotel Restaurant place is nice and quiet when we was there, the food delicious, and the special glass bag cocktail was amazing. There staff were very kind and helpful, just little observation we wait for the dessert long time.

London is one of my favorite cities in the world (I’ve been there six times thus far and I am constantly thinking about what I would like to do during a future visit!). I have great memories of my visit to London in December 2022 as it was my first time visiting the city to witness the Holiday festivities. My dad booked a junior suite at the St James and this was our first time staying in a Taj property outside of India (I have stayed at the Taj in New Delhi and the Taj Holiday Village in Goa during previous trips to India in the past); the hospitality in Taj properties is always great and it was interesting to experience this in London (e.g., the staff would come and knock on hotel guests' doors in the evening and offer chai and Indian snacks). During our six-night stay, we did our regular rounds of sightseeing and saw the Christmas decorations in different parts of the city (the decorations at Harrods look amazing at this time of year); we also visited Buckingham Palace quite a few times as our hotel was nearby. For our second to last night in London (which was NYE), I purchased tickets for the NYE party that was held at TH@51; the event included a plated dinner, live entertainment and a dessert buffet for GBP 150/person. There were many other families at the event (most of them were Indian and were staying at the hotel). While the overall party was a dragged, I am glad we bought tickets for this event; for me, the highlights of the evening were the dessert buffet (which I loved because there were a ton of different Indian desserts) and the small firecracker display in the courtyard area of the hotel which took place at midnight. Filial piety is a big deal in Indian culture and while the party was a bit of a drag, it was good to be surrounded by other families (who also looked like they were slightly bored up until the fireworks show..). The crowd seemed like the type who isn’t into any form of debauchery - they are the types that would rather get bored with their families on NYE than to go out and party (these are the type of people my family and I limit our social interactions to). The NYE decorations were tastefully done and this was a nice way to end off the year. While London may not always be at the at top of the list for many people as a place to spend their vacation during Christmas week, I highly suggest you consider looking into visiting during this time of year as the city is beautifully done up for the holidays.

I had a very good steak in here. Service is good and the chef care a lot about customers. Also I had the breakfast from the hotel and is good.

While the food was a good fusion between Indian and Modern European, the service left a lot to be desired. We waited 20 minutes for a bottle of English sparkling wine to arrive, which was not served suitably chilled; the very good food arrived promptly afterwards. Once finished, we ordered dessert, then waited another 25 minutes, complained, and only then did it arrive, which was frankly too late. When it came to paying the bill, the servers were not apologetic in the least, took an age to remove the service charge, and took a further five minutes to actually process the bill. To be clear, there were plenty of servers and very few covers, so I cannot understand the delays experienced throughout. Despite the food and wine, I could not recommend this dining experience.

We visited on Saturday afternoon for the bottomless Brunch. The food was amazing and the brunch menu excellent value. Thoroughly recommend the steak! The hotel and restaurant is lovely and we had great service. Will definitely return.

Such an amazing ambiance! It’s off the beaten path but offers all the accoutrements you would find on a main avenue. Kaustaubh and Shankary were extremely pleasant. They catered to every request. Shankary gave great food recommendations. The atmosphere, the food, the vibe - TH@51 offers it all. You will not be disappointed; we will return!

I can honestly say one of worse dining experiences I have had in long time. Enticed by instagram won’t fall for that again, very poor standard of food ,to be fair they offered a replacement but having waited over an hour I declined ,staff need more training as they spent more time chatting to each other we had to clear our own starter plates as got fed up looking at them , my first ever complaint and I eat out at least twice a week ,for London was very poor

On my business trip to London. I was LUCKY to be given the same section to so and had the pleasure of amazing service from Deepa! She was polite, conscientious and most importantly KIND! I received amazing service from ALL the Taj staff but hers stood out above the rest!

The service here by Jennifer was great and welcoming but unfortunately when our 2 steaks arrived they were woefully overcooked and when they offered to replace there were no more ribeyes, to which they offered me a fillet replacement. Located inside Taj - one of India’s finest hotel chain - this is indeed a fancy place to go for dinner for special occasions. Not the best in terms of authentic spicy Indian food would like to have but you go here more for just the experience, nice ambience and setting inside a fancy hotel. Service was good and overall experience was alright.

This is a lovely restaurant located inside the Taj Hotel. We had bottomless brunch with two courses and free flowing belinis (Prosecco and peach purée) and cobra beer. The service started off slow but got better throughout the sitting. The live performances were great, two men with guitars and mic provided great entertainment whilst dining. The price was £50 plus service. Good value.

Great pleasant atmosphere and we sat in the conservatory so overlooking beautiful garden. Being a group of ladies we spent hours with no one bothering us. The service team are nice but lack experience and management. There was a lot of confusion, wait and misunderstanding. As for food best to stick to Indian. The Indian dishes were nice but not exceptional. Other international dishes looked good but didn’t taste as good eg Welsh lamb roast. Would go again but for afternoon tea.

Tried the bottomless brunch and it was just fine, not one of the best meals. The dessert options were a bit disappointing as they were more of breakfast like pancakes, French toast, waffles, etc.

I was disappointed I from Paris I went to this restaurant for brunch because I saw on instagram but the brunch is only on week-ends they didn’t mention on instagram I am a tourist i saw on instagram and I went they told me it’s mention only the website. Sorry but as a tourist I just check instagram and I booked. The restaurant management wasted my time.

I loved their combination of British and Indian breakfast that was included in our room rate. Their breakfast buffet was full of varieties and everything was so fresh! A big surprise that I must mention here: in addition to the buffet, you can order breakfast plates from menu!!! We ordered dosa, uttapam, …, and Indian coffee & tea and loved all of them! The seating area was fantastic, too. We were sitting indoor in huge sun room facing courtyard. That made the breakfast experience so nice! Staff were super friendly. Particularly, Rupinder was the best!

Went here to celebrate a birthday for a close friend. Experience was a complete 10/10. Beautiful, royal, grand entrance to the restaurant from a street very close to St James Park station. Service was impeccable. Definitely the best I have received out of all restaurants I have dined at in London. Special credits to our head waitress Shankary who really went out of her way to ensure the birthday celebration was a memorable event. All of the staff were incredibly kind and polite. Food was amazing; we were particularly impressed by the presentation. It was very carefully made, wonderful to the eye and so delicious. Many thanks to the chef Raj Kumar Rana, who also specially made my close friend a birthday cake dessert! Seating is very comfy and lots of opportunities for some pretty pictures in the restaurant, around the hotel and especially in the beautiful garden. Will definitely be coming back - highly recommend this place!

My recent experience for breakfast at Th@51 was great. However, what truly set this dining experience apart was the hospitality shown by Rupinder. Her attention to detail, eagerness to assist, and genuine warmth made us feel incredibly welcome and valued. It's rare to encounter someone so dedicated and proficient in ensuring guests' satisfaction. I would recommend this establishment not just for the food but for the exceptional service, particularly by Rupinder, who undoubtedly makes every visit special.

For a different breakfast we usually opt for Thai or Vietnamese but saw this and thought it would be interesting, what a great choice we made, the food and staff were wonderful, they helped us make a great selection, we opted for the dosa which was delicious, not cheap but the quality of the food was deserving of the price. Beautiful place, will go again.

As always Taj never disappoints. We have a rule not to include breakfast in our Europe/UK stay but of course Taj is the exception to this rule because of good food. Especially for Indians, they have varied hot menu and the service is very good. Friendly and welcoming staff with prompt service. Special mention to Rupinder for her assistance and warm nature.

Specially want to thank Rajat Gupta for his perfect recommendations. In love with food and ambiance of the place. I’ll visit again soon.

Lovely coming through the hotel and then this was a very disappointing meal. The service was quite odd, we were given one menu between five of us and had to ask multiple times for more. I don't know if it the menu or servers were new but the team didn't know about the menu. There was no one avaliable to make the special cocktails and even the basic cocktails were not brilliant. The restaurant was nicely decorated but fairly empty which was a shame as there wasn't much atmosphere. As for the food there was a few good bits (maslala chips) but everything was under seasoned or completely not seasoned at all and some things written on the menu were not on the dishes. The risotto was tasteless stodgy rice and the sugar on the creme brulee was incorrect and burnt. There is no toilet in the restaurant and it was quite a way to get to the hotel one. We will not be back.

Very unpleasant service 2 of the staff were in front of us on a stocking table to hang the Christmas decorations while we ate (1 p.m.) It was not good, my chicken was not cooked, my sister and I took a truffle puree as an accompaniment which was served almost cold, so she asked to reheat it and the waiters, reluctantly, ended up doing so. . Long wait even though we were only 3 tables in this restaurant. Very disappointed !

Words can barely describe the hospitality and warmth which the staff team has 👍. A special mention for Mr. Duncan who made sure all the arrangements are top notch. Our table was attended by mr pranav and mr pancham both have done a wonderful job by timely service and courtesy. The food is as delicious as it can be. The fish and chips are one of the finest in town. All in all a lovely experience.

I had the fabulous evening and a perfect family dinner at TH@51 Restaurant and bar. The food and service was extremely perfect and comfortable because of Mr. Duncan who made our evening even more special with the excellent service and warmth.

Had their breakfast buffet as part of our stay at the St. James Court Hotel. The restaurant was quite busy and there was a queue of guests waiting to be seated delite numerous tables at the entrance of the restaurant being vacant. We were sat within 10 minutes. The food spiciness and hotness is definately toned down to suit the western palette. The omelette was perfectly cooked. The aloo (potato) parantha wasn't the crispiest but flavor was toned down. The bacon at the buffet table was good but, a little salty. Fruits were good.

I have tried the North Indian Diwali thali, the best food I have ever had. Moreover, the service provided by Mr Duncan and his team is very good. I suggest everyone try the Diwali special thali.
