Quick stop to eat before boarding my train this afternoon. Ordered the Barbecue chicken wings and took part in the 2 for 1 cocktail deal. Everything was delicious. Credit to my waitress Ellesse, she was manning the floor alone and bartending! What a superstar you have! Would definitely recommend for a quick bite or a dinner. Will be returning with my family next time. Thank you.

I am a big TGI Fridays fan, and I don’t normally leave reviews, but after my recent experiences I felt the need. I have been lucky enough to visit several TGI Fridays, however the Southampton West Quay is my favourite. Myself and my partner visit this branch frequently, and we have been fortunate enough to have been served by Ellie on a few occasions. Whenever we visit, Ellie remembers who we are, and knows what we are going to order before we even open our menus! On our most recent visit, there was an issue with my fries being overcooked, but Ellie was deeply apologetic and sorted the issue quickly and smoothly. Ahe is a fabulous server, and a credit to this branch! Thank you to the whole team!

Great meal and service as always! Our server Ellesse was fab! Polite, knowledgeable and friendly. The complementary cocktails that someone else ordered but then left were a bonus!

Decided to go here as L’Osteria was closed. Worst decision ever, short staffed (serving and kitchen) Part of order missing, items on bill we never received, extremely over priced for the quality and presentation. The restaurant chain has gone down hill, this is the last time I’ll be giving them my hard earned money! Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos, quite frankly as it was too embarrassing.

Even though the restaurant was nowhere near full we stood waiting for 15 minutes before we were acknowledged by a staff member. We were then told they needed to clean and clear a table for us so could we sit at the bar. Another 15 minutes later our table was ready. Other people that were sat waiting for their table at a bar got fed up and left. Food was just ok and very overpriced and the cocktails were weak. Staff seemed to be trying their best but there just weren’t enough of them. TGI’s used to be special with great food. Not so much now.

Absolutely awful, do not go here!!! The food, service everything was terrible. We ate here Sunday early dinner before going to show. All i can say is don't bother, my friend ordered fajitas the condiments were so tiny why bother, the chicken was not enough to fill one wrap, complete waste of money, after complaining the manager did take off the cost but she could do no other, was more a child's portion. Another friend had chicken and pasta the chicken looked uncooked when questioned with the manager she said it was grisel rather than uncooked, really!!! We would never eat at a TGI Fridays again, you really need to step up your game for the prices you charge and get more staff!!!

We came here on a Saturday & booked a table preempting that it would busy, because of its location. Despite having a table booked, we were made to wait in the queue of people who hadn’t. We were seated after about ten minutes, and given menus. I noticed our table was slightly sticky and we’d only been laid up with a knife. A server eventually came over to our table, and awkwardly took our order for two Coke Zeros. Before we could ask him to put our meal order in, he had gone. And well, that was the last we saw of him at our table.. A table of 5 next to us had to ask another server where their food was. We overheard that they had been waiting an hour already! And the table of 2 to my right, had been waiting an hour for their drinks already, with no sign of their food either! We decided at this point that we would not be staying. There were no staff around to let them know, so we just left. It’s a shame, but this is the second bad experience I’ve had at this particular TGIs, so I won’t be back! Having worked in hospitality myself, you really need to look at training your staff! The server that dealt with the table of 5 questioning where their food was, really did not care to deliver good customer service. When they asked where their food was. She stared blankly and went “what?” .. when the lady again asked where their food was because they’d been waiting an hour, her reply was “I don’t know, I’m out here”.

We went because the kids meals were free when you order any adult meal off the main menu. What they don’t tell you in, the food is Burger King quality and all the mains are around £20. Sides were cold, kids didn’t like their food. We had a refillable drink but we didn’t receive any service. We decided TGI’s has gone way down hill, so we won’t be returning.

Lovely atmosphere. Good cocktails. Yummy food. And Josh made our visit, very friendly, we were very lucky with our service

We were given the table next to the main concourse, it was cold, noisy and very open. the staff at the greeting counter had a fan heater under the counter to keep them from freezing. The server scribbled our order on a tiny piece of paper( what happened to the Ipads?) and when it came after a 50 minute wait the order was wrong and was delivered to the table sporadically. The food was warm at best. Very little choice for coeliacs (gluten free) on the main menu and only 1 item on the dessert menu. The food was overpriced and overall it was a disappointing experience which wont be repeated.

We visited here with the kids was shopping the staff was excellent but as for anything else it wasn’t great we don’t expect much but this was freezing cold food wasn’t great but the service made up for everything else

Goncalo is the best person working in the restaurant. He has a beautiful soul and helps all people and is better than others

Visited TGI in WestQuay with my daughter and her friends to celebrate her 12th birthday (8 of us in total) Despite having an early booking and the restaurant being less than half full, we waited an hour for food to arrive. I had to enquire several times when our food was coming out and other people seemed to get theirs before us. When the food did come out one of the meals was missing. I also had to physically go over to the bar for a third time to enquire where some missing drinks were. I also had to track someone down to try and pay the bill (I physically had to get out my seat and grab a server on four occasions as no one was coming over), as well ask someone to remove the bottle of cleaning fluid that had been left on our table, despite the drinks having already been delivered and no one offering to take it away. There wasn't any offer to take money off the bill despite the poor service. I had also indicated on the booking that the reservation was for a birthday party - again no mention of this, or anything birthday related offered. It's a shame as I've visited here once before and it was OK but we sadly won't be returning.

Service terrible, hot food served luke warm and salad just iceberg lettuce which was brown on ends. Not the salad portrayed on picture. Complained and advised they had had a busy day the day before and ran out. Partners meal deal chicken wrap had hardly any chicken, bulk was cheese. Offered a free wine. Asked for bill and that took another 15 mins. All very pricey, would have had a better meal at MacDonald's.

We were looking for a good restaurant with a proper bar. I couldn’t be disappointed after my visit in this restaurant! Loved my food but above all, my drinks! We had a really horrible experience at TGI Fridays in West Quay that has definitely deterred me and my partner from ever visiting this establishment again. Having worked for TGI Fridays in the past, I knew what to expect and was disappointed by the lack of service provided by your untrained and inexperienced staff, who demonstrated very poor customer service skills and a negative attitude toward us. I had booked a few weeks in advance for my daughter's 5th birthday, specifically emphasising the importance of this reservation being for a 5th birthday celebration. Upon arriving at 13:05, we were informed that there were still people seated at our designated table. Given the quiet atmosphere and the fact that only around five tables were occupied on the entire floor, this statement from the waitress seemed bizarre, lacking common sense and flexibility in managing the situation. The staff had to clear a different table for us, despite the availability of numerous free tables at the time. Throughout our stay, the restaurant was not even close to being full or busy, with at most seven tables occupied, which is an overstatement. I want to bring to your attention that, although we were aware of the menu prices, we chose to dine at TGI Fridays solely for the promised birthday experience, which, disappointingly, was not delivered in the slightest sense. While seated at the table, we were informed that the BBQ glazes/sauces, steaks and bacon fries were unavailable due to being out of kitchen stock. We proceeded to order two adult burgers, and for our child, who only eats beef burgers with chips (when dinning out), we were told that a kiddies burger wasn't possible as there were no kids size beef patties in stock. We had to stand our ground and make it clear to the staff that there was no alternative, and we needed a beef burger for our 5-year-old. We were also not prepared to pay £20 for a burger for a 5-year-old. I also inquired with the staff about the availability of a birthday cake for our child. Throughout our interactions with the staff, there was no mention of birthday wishes or any acknowledgment of the child. This lack of attention to a special occasion was particularly surprising, especially considering my past experience working at the Bournemouth branch, where going the extra mile with crayons or modelling balloons for young guests was standard practice. Fortunately, the waiting staff conveyed our message, and the chef kindly prepared a full-size burger for our daughter. I have highlighted the issue with the food above, as all dishes arrived lukewarm. I am not sure if this was again due to a front-house staff's lack of attentiveness. After our dinner, we requested a birthday cake in the hope that it would uplift our experience, and my daughter would enjoy a surprise TGI Fridays version of the birthday song. However, our expectations were greatly disappointed. Instead of the standard celebratory experience that one might anticipate, given the premium pricing associated with American dining rather than ordinary fast food (considering the £20+ per burger cost), we had a waiter, approximately in his twenties, singing 'Happy Birthday' in a barely audible whisper to our table. This was not only embarrassing for him but also for the three of us. It seemed evident that he hadn't considered the appropriateness of his approach. Moreover, he didn't even make the effort to inquire about my child's name beforehand, leaving an awkward empty gap at the end of the song. I asked him if the TGI Fridays song was also out of stock, to which he quickly replied that he would call out his colleagues to sing it for us. He turned on his foot swiftly and gave us an attitude. A minute later, laughter from multiple staff members was heard from the back, which felt like it was directed at us. The embarrassment didn't end; when it came time to settle our bill, the waiter surprisingly showed empathy and started apologising, which, to be fair, was awkward as well. He attributed the issues to staff shortages, which, again, was not within our control. This excuse could have been mentioned earlier when I was inquiring about the availability of the birthday cake, so it wasn't a convincing explanation. In response, we pointed out that we had observed at least four front-house staff members, and they could have easily spared a minute for a quick birthday celebration for a child, as was customary at TGI Fridays in Bournemouth. The floor wasn't busy at all, and we were seated next to the kitchen, providing us with a clear view of the number of dishes coming out and the pace at which they were being served. We were appalled by the lack of kindness and empathy and felt that there was nothing in terms of atmosphere. We felt like mere numbers who were expected to quietly eat, pay an overpriced bill, and receive not even a smile in return. We are submitting this complaint to bring attention to the issue at Westquay and the lack of staff effort. We don't seek any compensation or remedy as we are now deterred from visiting your establishment for a lifetime.

We booked the restaurant for a birthday celebration for 8 people. It has been a while since I have visited a TGI but the experience was nowhere near as good as it used to be. Food ok, but service was incredibly slow. Orders were mixed up and food that was delivered to the table was not what was ordered. However, having waited 1 hour for it to be delivered, we just ate what we got. Waited 20 mins for a drink refill and refills were coming out with different drink to what was ordered/requested. The restaurant lacked any kind of atmosphere. The illuminated TGI friday sign was broken and only the 'days' part was lit up. Very apt as it felt like we were waiting days to be served.
