Me and my partner went last night and unfortunately we didn't have a good time. We was left waiting ridiculously long for our drinks, starters and mains and we didn't recieve check backs from our server. We found it difficult to get staff members attention and recieved no explanation as to why there was such long waits for everything. I understand bad days can happen however we didn't feel particularly welcome by the end of our meal and it unfortunately put us off from staying longer and having more drinks or desserts

Never been here before the food was good the waiting was long winded it wasn't busy when we got there but it started to fill up we went to meadow hall and was busy so tried this one it was bank holiday and the small print we were told doesn't do blue light discount on bank holidays the bill was over £200 pound for 5 of us including drinks which was fair for what we had. I personally wouldn't rush back but might not always be like that.

Really nice food and drinks. My only small qualm is that I have always ordered a burger with no salad, tomato or onion as I don't like warm salad. Unfortunately either the server didn't write it down or the kitchen didn't read it. But apart from that it was really nice and the front of house team were great.

Good service, Decent food. Meat cooked to my liking. A while since being to a TGI and menu has changed slightly and prices have increased again. So each to their own TGI is expensive and now more chain 'restaurant' than a fast food place. Barnsley TGI closed and wasn't there long on a brand new premises. Not many maybe left of the higher priced restaurants unless ideas come to the table.

Well today I had bottomless chicken wings as always after my second plate 1 of my wings was cold inside I then picked up another after eating some others it was frozen inside I took it to the waiter which showed I think the manager she felt my chicken and said ye it is were sorry I had 1 more plate but was hesitant to eat any more as it put me and my partner off the waiter asked do you want some more miu we declined I didn't get offered any deductions or anything discusted as we're regularly customers just hope it doesn't make it poorly

For mother’s day, the family and I went out for a meal at the TGI Fridays at Sheffield Rd, Sheffield S9 2Y. We are all heavily disappointed with our time there, the day started off with a negative when we arrived and asked for cutlery, after waiting an absurd amount of time we still had no cutlery and had to eat our starters with our hands. The frustration carried on when the children’s meals took extra long for them to arrive and we had to share with them as 1 year olds aren’t the best and knowing what food is who’s. Once our mains arrived we again had to ask for cutlery, the BARE minimum. The food was mediocre, the burger tasted like burned toast and the chicken was like a sugar rush and the fajitas were the worst of the lot! £28 for peppers on a warm plate? rediculous… the children’s quesadilla was also on par with the with the disappointment. When finally got our bill we where told the Blue Light code wasn’t accepted even tho it says Sunday to friday… And the last and most ridiculous part was when we seemingly got charged £5.50 too much and when we went to ask about it we where told that in the extremely small print it said the Cheese burger was EXTRA???? P.S. I tried to solve this matter privately but haven’t received any communications

Waited 10 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant the server who seated us was rude had to ask for a children's menu waited 20-30 minutes for food Nothing was avaliable on the menu After eating waited 20 minutes to leave server gave us a reciept and walked off I had to go to the kitchen to pay my bill i said this service was awful the manger replied "were busy" 4 staff hardly seen on the resturant floor. Awful place gone down hill, rude staff, no atmosphere and a £93 bill Never again!

But they didn't have any chocolate sauce for the pancakes so I had caramel sauce but it was way too sweet, service was amazing! Me and my other half booked a table for 8pm on valentine's day and sadly walked out still hungry, cold and very very disappointed. Firstly we were ignored at the front door to be seated for about 20 minutes before we was told to wait at the bar area until a table become available. Another 20 minutes later we were seated at our table and orders for the 2 course and cocktail valentine's deal taken before being advised of a 30-45 minute wait on food which we said was fine as we understood it was busy and valentine's. The restaurant was absolutely freezing especially near the windows where we was sat, everyone where we were seated kept their coats on and kept complaining. Fast forward 45 mins late and still no food or drinks but during that time we must have watched around 4-5 tables up and leave. Anyway asked at the bar where our drinks was they said they'll be 5 minutes. Another 10 minutes later still no drinks so a waitress said she'd check to see and then never returned, same happened again with another waitress by this point we'd been waiting an hour and 20 minutes just for our drinks never mind the food. Finally one of our drinks arrived but the waiter didn't even know which drink it was and said he'd find out where the other drink was. An hour and 40 minutes in and my drink finally arrived but we were still waiting for food, I tried my cocktail and it literally tasted of nothing but water. 2 hours later our food arrived stone cold and burnt. At that point we'd had more than enough and walked out along with the many others before us. I've never walked out of a restaurant before but that was absolutely appalling from start to finish. Waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for 2 cocktails and 2 hours for food is beyond a joke! I've worked in food and hospitality for years myself and I've never in my life seen such a disaster! Definitely won't be returning and wouldn't recommend. Wouldn't even give it 1 star. *Update - TGI'S commented on this review and emailed me asking to email them with my reference and confirmation of my booking. Have done 10 days ago and no response*

We attempted to celebrate our son in laws birthday on Saturday afternoon. However the tgi,s was as cold inside as the weather outside. The staff did their best with portable heaters, but none of them worked! As it was a celebration we decided to stay. It was purgatory eating in the cold with hat's and coats on. Check that the heating is OK before you go.

Not great today. We decided to treat ourselves this evening, and grab some classics from TGI. Firstly, despite being practically empty at 7.30pm on a Saturday, it took ages to be seated, and even longer for any attention thereafter. The place was FREEZING, and we really noticed it during the wait. The waitress was nice, and helped us with ordering for the kids. She also grabbed a warm air blower to try to warm us up. The food was meh, and the classics on the menu are being lost to be making way for more vegan and plant based items. The starters arrived and we had to go on a hunt for cutlery. After the starters it went from bad to worse. Our mains arrived but or empty starter plates remained. The plates stacked and stacked until the kids deserts arrived. The waitress noticed this and promised to clear the table so we could enjoy desert. She never came back. We looked around us and tables long abandoned were all full of dishes. We found an empty table and cleared our pots onto there ourselves. Unfortunately no apologies were made as we paid the bill. The waitress did genuinely appear nice, but the staff numbers were not there to function correctly. Unfortunately TGIs appears to be on the back end if a slow decline.

Pros - the waitress was really sweet and attentive. Cons - it was absolutely freezing in there. All the customers had their coats on during their meals - which is an absolute joke for the prices you pay. The toilets were also very messy… loo roll all over the floor etc. It wasn’t busy so there was no excuse for this. Also taps only had cold water and dryer didnt seem to work. Food itself was absolutely fine - its the kind of food you can get in a whetherspoons or similar for half the price though… wouldn't mind if the enviroment made up for it but it didn’t… at all. Might visit again if no other options but would not go back in winter. Way too cold. Felt bad for the staff tbh.

One of the best TGI's around. The staff are always very friendly and nothing is too much for them, they always mention any offers that are currently running, and always plug the TGI App that is available. Portion sizes seem to be larger and better presented than most TGI's i have visited, especially my personal favourite boneless hot wings. The restaurant may be one of the oldest, which shouldn't deter anyone as they certainly are one of the most lively and fun TGI's, a credit to the Yorkshire area and chain. Highly recommend to anyone.

This was the worst service and food I think I have ever had to pay for!! The table and the seat both needed wiping before we sat down. We had to ask for cutlery on both starters and main course. The starters which took over an hour to get to our table were a sloppy mess. On walking to the toilets I could see into the kitchen, it was not a good sight to see. It was dirty, sauce all up the wall and a stream of dirty napkins and straws all over the floor!! There was one girl who served us who was nice and tried really hard, the rest were rude. I have sent emails to complain and phoned the Sheffield restaurant but since Christmas Eve (it’s now 27th Jan) I have had no response from anyone dispite being told on the phone I will be called back by the manager. Please do not waste your money in this restaurant, you’d be better off in mac Donald’s!!

Food was lovely, staff were very nice, but waited ages for a server to take our order, had several bottomless soft drinks but due to slow delivery we got 2 drinks in 3 hours. The main issue was it was so so cold, there were 2 portable fan heaters to warm the area we were sat in but had to ask for them to be put on, after getting colder I got up and checked the fan heater, it was switched to cold, so blowing cold air our direction!! Most people around us were also sat with coats on, having spent a decent amount of money on a meal it spoiled it, I was glad to get warm when we left. Such a shame, IMO that part if the restaurant should not have been open. I would not go back until warmer weather

Where do I start? Ok, it was 0 degrees centigrade outside and no heating inside so you can imagine how we felt after 2 hours. The guy serving us said the heating wasn’t working. How can a restaurant open in the middle of winter without heating? Years ago the last time we came here the place was buzzing but you definitely get the feeling this place is being run down to closure. It’s shabby with no atmosphere. The staff, I’m sure are doing their best, but are clearly disorganised with no managerial guidance. We were shown to our table which wasn’t set and didn’t get any plates, cutlery or napkins until we asked after the food arrived. We waited 20 minutes before I asked for our order to be taken and then a while before our starters arrived. The wings were definitely overcooked…..possibly burnt….so much for a nostalgic trip down memory lane. I’m sure they used to come with celery and a cream dip. Mains of chicken strips and rack of ribs were ok. Good portion size but no finesse. The slaw on one was nonexistent and on the other 2 was ‘dry’. No other way to describe it. Nothing to rinse your hands in but I spotted a basket of wipes on the side so helped myself. Total bill £90 for three of us. Was it good value….definitely not. A real pity as we had high hopes of a place where we have happy memories. Would we return….. unfortunately not. As I said, a real pity.

This place use to be so busy so it should have been a red flag when we showed up and there was only 3 other tables being used. Food is not like it use to be. Haven't been for a while so visited recently and you can tell they're trying to save money. Fridays sesame chicken strip starter used to have salad on the side of the plate and loads of chicken. Now you get no salad and a few bits of cold chewy chicken. Ordered Fridays sesame chicken strips as a main too ,hoping it was the same as it use to be and the chicken was cold, chewy, most of it wasn't covered in the sauce it comes in and the little portion of "salad" you use to get with the chips was just a big pile of red cabbage on its own which tasted very vinegary like it had been pickled. The Fridays glazed smashed burger and the spicy boneless wings that we also ordered were cold too and looked nothing like the pictures. It's very disappointing when the prices have gone up yet standards and quality has gone done. Won't be eating here again.

TGI advice is to use delivered not just eat

Not surprised at all why the company is in admistration, waiting for ten minutes at the door to get a table even though there was only six people in the restaurant (all staff were in kitchen keeping warm). After another 10 minutes the young waitress came to take our order, another half hour later our starters came,my wife had chicken wings which were basically like warm.After another 20 minutes out mains came,I had the very basic burger at £19 was extremely overpriced,my wife had the steak which she asked to be cooked medium,it came and she couldn't even cut it with her knife it was that overcooked.She was offered another one but what is the point as I would have finished my burger and she would be eating on her own in the absolute freezing restaurant.As this was happening there was 2 different parties at the door (7 people) waiting to be seated,after about 10 minutes they returned to thier cars without getting a table.In the end my wife complained to the manager who looked about 17 years old and both agreed we wouldn't be paying for anything.leaving basically kids running a business is never going to work,all were idle and never came out of the kitchen unless they had to.Such and absolute shame as I've been going in that restaurant for years and never ever had a problem, just wish we should have gone to the one situated in Meadowhall shopping complex.

Ordered a click and collect meal which I have done at this particular TGI's a couple of times now. Order placed and it stated collection time of 7.30PM, brilliant. Arrived at TGI's at 7.25 to be told that the kitchen was very busy, understandable, but that some of the food was cooked and the rest was cooked. No bother I said to the waitress that I would be sat in the lobby waiting for the food. 7.45, nothing 8pm, nothing, decide to go find a member of staff (which i should probably have done sooner) 8.10, been stood at the front doors now for 10 minutes with 0 service. Someone finally came over and I explained what was happening, and they disappeared into the back saying that they would let me know. 8.15 still stood there. Nearly twenty past 8 and food finally comes out, just shy of 50 minutes after the collection time with no apology whatsoever from staff. The food was as to be expected from TGI, no complaints about the food but the service left a lot to be desired.

My friends and I had an amazing time at TGI Fridays! The service was friendly and efficient, making us feel very welcome. I've not been to a TGIs in a while, and I've been reminded why. The service was awful. We were a good 40 minutes getting seated, and it was half empty. Another 30 minutes or so to be served, which then required a manager due to dietary restrictions. Another good 20 minutes to then be told there wasn't a gluten-free option available for what I'd ordered. Walked out. Waste of time I'll never get back.

For a company clearly in need of investment after a tough financial year in 2024, the standout strength of this place is its staff. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, so I’ll focus on the positive, and there’s plenty to highlight here. Four of us, in our 30s-40s, arrived late in the evening and were politely greeted. We were made aware that the kitchen was closing in just three minutes, so we needed to place our orders quickly. We appreciated the clear communication, apologised for the timing, and managed to order both our food and drinks in a hurry without any hassle. Now, regardless of the food or the condition of the restaurant itself, what truly defined our experience was the exceptional service we received. It’s rare these days to encounter genuine, human-centered hospitality, but Lee absolutely delivered. He made our experience feel personal, going above and beyond in a way that’s becoming a lost art in the service industry. Lee’s attention to detail was second to none. He managed the timing of our meals perfectly—neither rushed nor delayed—and kept our drinks topped up without us having to ask. Beyond that, he engaged in great conversation, cracked jokes, and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. His approach wasn’t just professional; it was heartfelt. You could tell he genuinely cared about providing a positive experience. Unbeknownst to us, we stayed well past the restaurant’s planned closing time, but Lee never rushed us. Instead, he continued to be attentive and friendly, despite likely having family or other commitments waiting for him. His dedication and positive energy left a lasting impression on all of us. Lee is a true credit to the service industry. His attitude, professionalism, and authentic care for his guests should inspire others in the field. Thank you, Lee, for making what could have been an ordinary meal an extraordinary experience. Our visit was on Thursday evening, 19/12/24—full credit to this remarkable gentleman!

I recently went for a meal with family and had the worst dining experience I've ever had in my life. As soon as we arrived we noticed there was pieces of food all over the cutlery that was left for us and stained food and drink marks all over the tables and menus. When I picked up the salt shaker it literally slipped out of my hands due to all the grease that had built up on it. When the food arrived the chicken was burnt and bland, the flavour resembled something closer to burnt cigar ash than any kind of chicken. The worst part of the meal wasn't the exorbitant price, tiny portions or even the filth of all the plates and cutlery, but the taste of the drinks. I had a Moretti and a Guinness, both of which tasted like dirty pond water and had clearly passed through a filthy pipe. On top of all of that, there was awful service and a clear disregard for the customer. This place is in desperate need of a clean and I definitely would not recommend to anyone.

Honestly would rate this dive minus five if I could, extremely disappointed with the service and quality of drinks and food. Customer service was borderline none existent to the point of when asked if my food was alright and I said not really it's inedible as the chicken tasted like the nastiest fireplace coal you could imagine, the response given was "you haven't even tried it with your wraps" wraps that mind you smelled like a tissue stored under a teenage boys bed 🤮🤮 and then was told "some people like it some people don't" when I said I literally cannot eat the meal. No rectification offered, just left feeling sick and hungry and overall robbed. Birra Moretti and Guinness both tasted like strained dish rag water. Not sure what was worse the food, or the service... make sure you bring you jackets too because the place is freezing. All in all the chefs cant cook and the servers cannot serve, better off wasting your money at mcdonalds than here. There was one lady who was alright no issues with her but unfortunately being alright doesn't mean the drinks you're serving are even remotely serviceable. ...A real damning shame, can't see this place staying open. Rubbish! Legitimately the worst!

Came here for a family birthday meal Never ever again! The place was cold to sit in Took about 40 min for our food to come out also came out in stages so half of us had finished by time they got most of them out One meal didn’t come and a portion of fries so had to tell them to leave it I had the ribs and they where freezing! Also when I got home been poorly all night and morning with S&D 🤢 We did get some money knocked off our bill but wish ide never ate and got up and walked out The place wasn’t clean (needs upgrading) Also Very expensive! £25 for a burger! That’s not worth £5 When paying those prices should be the nicest food and service I never write reviews but this has really done me all night and morning feel so ill since eating it 🤢😢

Fantastic service from Lee & Frankie and the food was so good…..but there was no heating and it was Baltic!!! We sat with our coats on, ate about half of our food and left because we were so cold! It’s 1deg outside and pretty much felt the same inside, the restaurant really should have been closed u til the hearing is working again! Such a shame as I brought my mum for a treat 😢 It wasn’t the experience we expected or that I wanted for her!

The prices are SO expensive here for what you get. £20 for a burger and a handful of fries. I couldn't enjoy it knowing how much it was. Cherry cokes didn't come with cherries as advertised. Service was slow and disorganised, and a request I placed on my table booking was ignored.

Waited over 45 mins for our food. Food brought with no dips, told they were bringing them, asked 2 separate waitresses, dips finally arrived when fries were lukewarm. Had to ask for birthday cake to be brought out as we'd already waited a long time and had 3 children with us that needed to get up for school the following day. Cake eventually brought out. Asked for side plates for cake, brought us 5 instead of 7. Had to ask for box back to take the remainder of cake home, so had to wait again for that. Everything was sooo slow, and we had to ask for everything numerous times. Overpriced and poor service.

Very lovely and friendly staff, but the place itself is dated and falling apart. The toilets with it's missing mirror and half hanging down posters to cover it up looked like something you'd find in an abandoned building. Food was very mid for the price also and half of it came late.

I haven't walked out of a restaurant in some time, but this place is something else. Service is appalling, waiting around for an eternity. The mocktail deal is fine until you are told you have to have them at the same time and get presented with two glasses of mush that spill all over the table. 25 mins in and still no food ordered, and there are 20 people in the whole restaurant, so not busy. No wonder they are in administration!!!

Booked a bottomless Bruno which is two hours. Arrived in time and got told the server was going to be late so we waited ordered our meals and they had our drinks with the meals bare in mind this is already 30mins into the brunch and with one set of drinks that came with the meal. Meal was ok halfway through the meal server came and asked if we wanted drink we said yes and waited another 15-20mins for the drinks which came. After that we ordered another set of drinks from a different server as our waiter was know where to be seen. Finally different waiter came and introduced herself and said other one had gone home. We ordered drinks again as the previous ones had not come. She took the order and was gone for 35mins we sat on the table with plates not collected and no drinks too. She came back with one drink and stated that the drink of choice(JD) had finished I then ordered a different one which took long in this part we only had about 15min left of our brunch. The restaurant was not full nor busy it was really sad to be treated this way as the experience is meant to be a 2 hour experience of unlimited drinks. The staff was not on the restaurant floor we had to keep looking around for them. Service was very poor indeed. Also they told us that the double JD was an extra £3 and said it stated this on the menu and it was not on the menu nor the website as we sat there and looked and there was nothing mentioning this. It got to a point on our last 10 or so minutes left of the bottomless brunch we had to physically go to the bar to get our own drinks as this was too slow. Very unpleasant and staff just didn’t help at all

In November 2023, I came here for my 28th birthday. I came with a few family members and this was our first time visiting this TGI's. We sat down around 19:15 and we left after an hour. Because we did not receive any food at all. The restaurant wasn't even that busy at the time. We were disappointed because we were looking forward to the meal. When we were leaving, the waitress who served us seemed disappointed & angry that we were not served. But this waitress was a very nice person.

Me and my partner attended this branch last Friday and I am utterly disgusted with the lack of professionalism, respect and the non existent customer service. 2/4 cocktails were spilled all over me by the waiter leaving me, the table and my phone soaking wet through, nothing was offered out of politeness/respect not even as little as a courtesy drink, even worse the waiter didn’t even have the brain capacity to offer to move us to a different table until I mentioned it. furthermore, the member of staff had no knowledge of current offers then he proceeded to go and ask the manager who educated him on the promotions that were being offered. Despite this awful experience I did the correct and respectful thing of paying the bill and not kicking up a fuss…I instead waited and then rang to make an official complaint about the whole situation, the manager rang back and offered to cover cleaning costs of my stained pants but only after showing her proof via email of the damage, this is ridiculous considering she was on shift that day and saw the whole encounter. With management, customer service and low quality food and disgustingly high prices there’s no wonder tgis is going into administration. Would give 0 stars if I could

Once being weighted on our drinks took 10-15 minutes to arrive and when they do arrive they was primarily ice. Then waited 15 minutes if not more, for the waiter to come back and take our food order. Then it was a 45 minute or so wait for our food which was overpriced majorly for the quality. One of my party of 3 got sweet potato fries with their meal and they were primarily grease with the food being barely even warm. Once we had all finished our food, there was another 15 minute or so wait for our plates and dishes to be collected for only half of them to be taken with another 5-10 minutes for the rest to be taken. I will not be returning as it was astonishing the lack of customer service and he wait times.

I don’t know why anyone in their right mind would come here by choice! The restaurant itself looks like it has survived a nuke, wallpaper peeling off, furniture broken and outdated, I could actually see dirt piled up in the crooks and crannies, out waitress was nice enough but one short lady with silver hair was extremely unpleasant, me and my family overheard her shouting unpleasantries at her staff members and then would waddle around in a mood huffing and puffing as if sje was doing anything, very unsettling when trying to enjoy a family meal, the food was a let down, definitely extremely over- priced! The children’s meals were quite depressing. If you like feeling unsettled and unwelcome as you enjoy overpriced stale food, this place is perfect!

Staff were rude and unprofessional. I had to ask twice just to get a takeaway bag, and when they finally gave it to me, it was with attitude and disrespect. They even spoke in a foreign language right in front of me—clearly about me—which is unacceptable. I ordered two full set meals and they only gave me one portion of fries, no sauce, and made zero effort to fix it. The customer service is horrible, and they clearly don’t care. Won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Friend, who is vegetarian, ordered vegan Chipotle Chicken Loaded Fries and was served actual chicken. Not offered refund and when served replacement meal that was cold, sloppy and salty. Really concerning to see a blatant disregard for dietary requirements.
