Food and service was excellent. Thank you Annalee and klaudia amazing service.

If I could I would have rated it 3,5. Main menu was really expensive. Corn dogs were almost not even lukewarm. Burgers were tasty and chips lovely. Staff nice but lacked customer service experience I felt. They also need to be more proactive in showing customers their 'Specials menu'. Lots of staff hanging around chatting but tables and floors needed a clean and the ladies toilet was really dirty. Usually I complain but I didn't have the energy today. We were grateful that we were given 2 pieces of free birthday cake.

Maddalyn was our waitress this evening. She welcomes us with a warm smile and made sure we were all comfortable. Maddalyn took time all evening to check up on us and ensure we were enjoying our night. Thank you maddalyn for making my night out so memorable. Definitely deserves a pay rise!

Fantastic Food last night at Newport TGI. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Darnia our waitress was friendly, helpful, efficient and it made the night more enjoyable. In all the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Me and three of my friends went for bottomless brunch and we couldn’t have asked for better! Staff was polite and attentive, drinks was fast and plenty and food was fresh and delicious! Best place for brunch in Newport! X

We come here all the time, Darnia is regularly our server and is always polite, nothing is too much to ask at all!

This was such a weird one. It took 30 minutes for our orders to be taken, we ordered 2 mocktails, nachos as starters, a burger and their chicken dish. They ran out cranberry juice for the mocktail, the nachos were stale, the burger was missing bacon and my chicken was burned. When we asked for their brownie for desert, they ran out of that as well… but besides that, it tasted alright, I guess…😅

Extortionate prices ridiculous.

Enjoy a lovely meal here last Saturday before our concert in the riverside Newport. Our server a young lady who studying to become an optometrist was first class nothing was too much trouble, she looked after us very well. The food as usual was delicious, we both had the signature chicken strips with jack Daniels and the Biscoff sundae is to die, for, you’ve got to try it !!

Its OK its not good but not bad

Took my grandson here a few days ago, Food was OK but not for the price, service was slow and server wasn't the happiest I've seen. Just read today they have gone into administration, honestly I'm not surprised, although it is sad for the staff who work for them.

The staff where amazing they were clearly busy but still made us feel welcome food took a few minutes but it was delicious can't wait to go again

TGI’s in Newport is one of mine & my partners go to places to eat. It’s always welcoming and friendly, nothing too much for the staff here. Our server today was Lean & she was lovely.

Not a place to go every week but they're great now and again as they can get pricey! It was a lot different to the Newport Road Cardiff and the Cardiff city centre restaurant but I enjoyed my new york strip steak treat well worth paying £28 for but like I say these are ideal now and again but not every week! The waiting staff are nice and attentive and I am happy to visit this branch again in the future.

Wasn't sure about this place. Service was slow, a little bit odd. Think the place could do with a refresh. Food, ok. But the price didn't quite reflect what was infront of me. Expensive for what it was so yo speak

TGIs is hands down the best bottomless brunch in newport! I absolutely LOVE their June Buy and purple rain. I'm a wheelchair user, and they always accommodate me and take us to a table where I can just wheel up and stay in my chair. The customer's service is also really good, and Isabelle Amelia is so polite to bless her. Happy staff is a credit to the place and the management x

I couldn't tell you what the food is like after waiting for 5 minutes to be seated (there were only 3 groups of customers and at least waiters, so not very busy) we were sat on dirty, sticky leather seats, where we waited for a further 10-15 minutes with no interaction from any staff. They only came to speak to us when we put on our coats to leave. The menu wasn't very impressive, poor choice and seemed very pricey.

Jack was amazing with our service and chose our family film gladiator top lad! Well done xx

Kamala was a brilliant waitress was so polite and welcoming was a laugh, spoken very clearly, was so easy to approach the food was 10/10 brilliant place for a bite to eat very keen to be coming back

A shocking excuse for a TGI, sticky tables, seats and menus, shockingly slow service, they brought to the table over cooked dry potato skins clearly not suitable, it wasn’t that full and 3 of us were there for 2 hrs. !, and had £100 bill, avoid avoid avoid people

Used to love TGI but has gone down massively to what it used to be and not just Newport, Cardiff is the same . We love the Jack Daniels chicken, and that has gone up from £12,£14 to now nearly £20 and it's never hot hot and they have cut the fries portions down. Staff are always friendly enough but always look understaffed and stressed no matter what time we go. They always seem to get something missed off our order every time. There is no atmosphere there anymore like it used to be, and deserts were massively overpriced for pre bought cakes, etc. Would I go again, yes, if special offers are on, but otherwise, there are better options out there now for lower the price.

Kamala, Jordana and the Team were amazing, super friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, we came in with a group of 40 and all the food came out super quick, was really tasty and they did a great job with the extra bits we ordered and changed. Really efficient and approachable we couldn't of asked for more.

Great items on the new menu! The burgers were cooked to perfection and the garlic fries are amazing! We were served by Laura and she was very attentive and friendly 😊

food wasn't as good as usual. really lacking in seasoning and definitely no longer good value for money. Service was extremely slow considering the restaurant wasnt even half full and not very attentative. noticed servers talking over by the kitchen rather than looking after the customers. they took orders and come back multiple times to say they didn't have it. Think it will be a while before I go back again if ever.

We ate here this evening as a family of 4..when we arrived there was one other table full with the rest of the place empty. We ordered burgers for us and a hot dog and fajita from the kids menu for the kids. The hot dog was the worst tasting most over cooked sausage I have ever seen. Our son persisted for a while but when we tried it we could see it was inedible. The manager did comp the meal but the quality of the food has clearly gone down hill over the past few years whilst the price up. Service after the main meal was really slow.. painfully slow in a very empty restaurant. I had a blue light discount which took the staff some time to process. In the end we skipped dessert as service and food was so poor. This was our last visit to any TGI sadly, the cost is way too high, especially given the other local independent offerings which are cheaper and far higher quality! Avoid TGI at all costs...

Our host, Leah, was fabulous. frendly and helpful and a credit to the company. The food was delicious, and it was served promptly. The only recommendation I could make to the company is the table's are looking well worn and could do with replacing or varnishing.

The starter and my main was pretty good but the service was beyond pathetic it will be a very long time before I go back there again

TGIs has gone down hill lately. The food is overpriced and bland. The restaurant was uninviting and I probably won’t be returning.

No Variety, very limited Menu, and seemed expensive for a small piece of chicken and pasta, cold in the venue, no atmosphere, i now remember why we haven't been here for a year or so. Chap who served us, was spot on.

Went in and asked if any of us had allergies. I explained that I had allergies and was shockedwhen I was told that it was up to me to ensure that I didn't order anything with the ingredients I was allergic too. Was given the bill before we had our food. Very poor food for the price. Definitely will never go again. We felt like an inconvenience even though there were very few people there.

Food arrived extremely late, and was all cold. The children’s meals were all missing baked beans. Brown lettuce in all of the burgers, and stale chips. Don’t waste your money!!

The restaurant didn’t put our fries in the bag so we had 3 ‘starters’ in effect. The restaurant weren’t able to arrange for a driver to bring any to us. The food was freezing when it arrived and had to go into the microwave. Our meal was completely ruined. Just Eat haven’t responded to my refund request yet and TGI Fridays didn’t offer to do anything as a gesture of goodwill due to the issue of having incomplete meals being caused by them. Very disappointed.

Still smells really bad. I can't describe what the smell is. Didn't even get served this time. We were welcomed and the server said that he would get someone to serve us but no one came so we left

I ordered the chicken strips main and when I opened the box, there was a smell that something was burnt and there were only 11 strips in there! when looking at the picture of the starter, I can count more on there! I have had this meal in branch a lot and I know that there should be more than 11 chicken strips! chips and mozzarella strips were cold. overall, not happy, especially when over £40 was spent!

The experience was mediocre, food was tasty but the newer menu doesn't give the same variety. Gave a 2 star for the service due to the length of time we have had to wait for someone to take our order. The person who served us was friendly but didn't give the impression they were well trained. The restaurant wasn't as busy as it used to be, might be an indication that others may have a similar opinion to us. I don't think we will be back again for a little while.

We didn’t plan to come here but had it as an option. Although we didn’t get that ‘Friday’ welcome but the food made up for it. And Cameron tended to us, he is quite good at making you feel relaxed and was very helpful. I recommend

We came here yesterday, quick stop before going into town. Food was delicious and our server Chay was amazing especially with my 2 children. Went above and beyond for us, also advised us very well of the food and drinks menu. Thankyou once again

Food was good and the staff was polite and very welcoming but there was only 2 of them for the whole place, one switching between chef and server. They definitely could of used an extra staff member as it took a while to get around to us. I grabbed my own menus as we were sat down a while without any. Again this wasn't the staffs fault poor guy was run ragged.

Typical TGI Fridays, they are the same all over the world so when you know one you know what to expect. Great to visit now and then to get some good quality fast food!

prices of the food were ridiculous for the portion size, the food had no taste as well as the cocktails and the staff were standing round talking. overall DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Ordered 2 meals for £14 each only the burger arrived no fries with either meal and just eat will not issue the refund so I will be ringing the restaurant

Very bad value for money the burger bun was burn and the burger bun for off my daughter was very hard like was frozen and is bean defrost to fast or for to long in microwave I will never visit again any location of this chain.

One of worst experiences.definetly not a value for money place.i had the most basic chicken burger that cost me £19.6 which i would say is more pricey than in many other places.they forgot to bring the bacon for my lo' s burger(whose bun was very hard and dry on edges and I didnt complain about it but looking back I should've),I asked nicely if she can have it as it was missing, to hear the waitress afterwards imitating me to another staff member and swearing.I find this very rude,unprofessional and very dissapointing, the atmoshere was ruined because of this.Never going to a TGI again

The waitress took the order without writing it down and got it wrong. Please just write it down. No eye contact, and didn't smile once.

Me and my friend decided to pop in for food and a few drinks on a whim a few days ago, which we new was a gamble as it was a saturday night and we had not booked a table. However, we had a great time, seated quickly, food and drinks were amazing, and service was impecable. Our waitress called Leah made every effort to ensure we had a good experience. She was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond throughout our time there to make sure we were happy throughout.

My friend and I went for a bottomless brunch on Saturday 16th. We were greeted quickly and we’re allowed to ponder the menus first while we decided. Our server Leah was amazing. She was chatty and extremely welcoming and made us feel that no request was too much. She also made sure we got refills of our cocktails as soon as we finished them. Truly exceptional service, from the food to the bar service it was all fantastic.

Went with the family never again! Thought we try it as love the tgi from Iceland thinking from a restaurant be lovley but food not the same and not in a good way. Prices are ridiculous for a family charging £4.30 for a can of Dr pepper! £4.30 !! Food not the best only nice thing was the chips I rather buy them from Iceland for half the price and cook it myself service was slow asked for water taken 10 min to have a glass of water. was there over two hours for starter and mains will I go and visit again no.

Chloe was very accommodating for a gluten free friend and kind to us all! Explained everything for my friend and answered our questions to the rest of us.

Come here quite a few times and never dissapoints. Was having a light lunch while having a business meeting and the staff couldn't have been any more helpful. Was more than happy sitting us out of the way in a quiet part of the store so we could have peace, which I know isn't ideal when there's such low staff on. But never once did I hear a complaint! Certainly would recommend
