TGI Fridays - Fareham in Fareham

Can’t believe how wrong it could get. First off the 2 for 1 cocktail, why would you want both cocktails served at the same time! The ice melts and waters it down. Then the appetiser arrives with the main. Can it get worse? Yes it can!! We order 3 mains, two arrive with the promise of the third on its way, so we wait. When it doesn’t arrive we call the waiter over, off he goes and comes back saying it hasn’t been ordered and will be another 10 minutes, this makes it 20 minutes after the first had been delivered to the table, we explain that by then the other two would be cold, so they get sent back to the kitchen. 25 minutes later the first two are brought again “the 3rd is just coming “ and it does, but it’s completely wrong, instead of the mix grill it’s a steak and salad, the dinner doesn’t eat salad so back to the kitchen. It is then explained that it would be 20 minutes ( what happened to the 10 minutes it was going to take at the start) so we accepted the steak as we had been there an hour already. Steak was overcooked and gristle running through it , salad was warm , shame the chips were not. It wasn’t even busy Terrible service, mediocre food . I also note from the reviews that you are keen to respond to the 5star reviews but not the lower scores . We came to you for the mixed grill which we ordered TWICE! but new got to try it

We came in this evening as a pre booked table of 4 to celebrate my mums birthday. We were served by Taylor who went above and beyond for us. He was friendly, polite and very efficient. We had to check whether we could replace something on the menu due to dietary requirements and there was no problem accommodating us. We haven’t been to TGIs in a long time, we will definitely be back, and thank you Taylor for making our visit more enjoyable. 😀

first time doing a review but was needed. bloody brilliant! I came in yesterday evening on the lads night and had the bottomless chicken and the wings. Served by Taylor who we had on our first visit. Everything we needed and had a good laugh. Be back soon!

Very expensive for what you get 7 adult 1 child starter and main plus 3 deserts £432

Staying in the Premier Inn and had an evening meal and drinks at the adjacent TGI Fridays. I was served by Amber who was very efficient and well spoken. Starter was Cheese Donuts that were OK and the main Chicken Fingers with BBQ sauce was very good - more quantity than I had expected. Also, had the house Slaw as a side and this was really nice. The Macabeo wine was also good.

TGI Fridays is a great dependable restaurant. On two occasions in the last couple of months of a last minute decision to go out for dinner, TGI's has had a table for us when others have turned us away. They food is good with a variety of different meals depending on what you fancy. The drinks menu is also impressive with a wide range of cocktails, beers as well as soft drinks. We were well attended by the waitress and, once order, food was delivered quickly and was well presented. Two main factors as to why it loses a star. First is the fact that the food is a little pricey for what you get (a starter, main and a soft drink was just shy of £40 each). Second is that, with so many tables packed in so closely, on a busy Saturday night, the noise levels are quite high.

Meh is the word that springs to mind. We went there last Sunday (16th Feb 2025). We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for the food to come out. When it finally arrived, it was all cold. Very overpriced for what it is; I wouldn't have minded too much, but the food was meh (and cold). We had a new lad serve us; it was his first shift, and he provided great service, really putting his heart and soul into looking after us. Unfortunately, he was thrown into the deep end with two massive tables of people, and he couldn't keep up with it all (fair enough). I haven't been in years. I wouldn't go again. #meh

Tasty FAST FOOD at exorbitant prices. We love TGIs, but £19 for a burger, £20 for Chicken Sesame Strips, £20 for half ribs, £25 for a mediocre steak...these prices belong to a top star restaurant with a highly qualified chef, not a fast food joint like TGIs in Fareham, where all we want is a tasty affordable quick meal. You've priced yourselves out of our pockets even with your special deals on your app. If this is how TGIs plan to save the last remaining restaurants, you're doing it all wrong. Do some price trending in the Fareham area, this isn't London.

Attended for grandsons 3rd Birthday and was waited on by magnificent Max, fabulous time had by all - Thank Yoy Max for making our Max feel so special :)

Our server was a legend. Made us feel welcome, advised of the deals (we had bottomless wings). Very happy, will go again.

Food Quality was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The service was also very attentive and helpful with sharing knowledge on what to order.

Haven't been to TGI'S for years, I'll be totally honest it felt like the good old days again! It was a Monday, the restaurant was busy and a great atmosphere all round. But the food was superb, again like the glory days of this golden favourite, but most of all the service was exceptional! Our waitress was really, really welcoming and looked after us all night. I will definitely be coming back soon. Can't beat nostalgia when it's this good.

Went in for a meal at 16.35 today. Waited and looked around for someone to seat/welcome us. After 10 minutes of no service we left. Nando’s in Whiteley know how to make customers feel as we were greeted and sat straight away. Shame on you TGI’s. I think your staff have well and truly given up and probably don’t care that they have terrible customer service.

Had a lovely meal and an exceptional waitress (Holly) who made our evening run very smoothly.

I think TGI Fridays in general has lost the appeal it once had. My food was absolutely fine but my wife and daughter had burgers which left the wife feeling unwell and the daughter throwing up at 1am. For what it cost I just can't recommend this restaurant for food anymore. There's plenty of other local restaurants with better quality meals for the same or less cost. Service on this particular visit was awful especially considering how quiet it was.

Was a nice meal but a little slack on attention to details. Son asked for a chicken burger with no salad, just mayo and they sent out the burger with salad and no mayo. I ordered glass of coke and the glasses were a little grubby and my daughter’s drink had a layer of “muck” floating on top and had to have it changed. Just need to up their game a little, however the staff were great

Went to celebrate our twin boys 13th birthday. Given a crappy table near the door with no balloons on it for the kids. Waitress was grumpy to start with but did apologise. Felt rushed through.

Still a great brand to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. It’s like a tradition. The menu is good. Staff always attentive. It’s a little tired around the edges, but you know what you are going to get and reasonably priced too

Been here a couple of times recently and the service from Vicky is always fantastic. The refillable drinks are constantly topped up, often without us having to ask. She comes over with balloons and activities for the kids so they’re distracted while the food is cooked. Hopefully the kids eat free option on the app doesn’t go anywhere soon. 🤞

Really wanted to love this today but it just didn’t deliver. We went at lunchtime as I had received an email with details of their new £7 lunch menu. However after we were seated we were only given the main menu, I had to ask for the lunch one which was brought over but I noticed everyone that came in was only given the main menu. They obviously want you to order from the more expensive menu. Food was fine and was happy for the £7 price tag, was a bit annoyed that I was asked if I wanted extra sauces and was not told that I would be charged for them - £1.25 for the smallest pot of BBQ sauce ever! Service was fine although I felt very rushed, the guy wanted our food and drink order literally as soon as we sat down!

When we arrived it wasn't buzy, but by the time we left it was very buzy with lots of kids running around. The food was OK but nothing fantastic, and we thought the prices were very high. My salad had brown bits on the end, so the kitchen hadn't checked it before it went on the plate! The pudding was OK. We won't be visiting a TGI Fridays anytime soon.

The food was delicious. Tilly was great at service and checking on us. On a Saturday evening, we walked in and still got a table despite it being busy.

Served by Tilly who was spot on with her service. Very smiley and helpful. My chips were luke warm and my wife’s piping hot, called her over where my wife said she would eat them with my whinge over. Soon after Tilly returned with a pint stating it was a left over and better than binning it she offered it to me. Apart from my chips the food was good and service spot on.

Johnny was excellent on a challenging night, very quick and accommodating.

I was shocked how much the prices have gone up! Oh and the menu choice has gone down. Their Cajun pasta is near £20 now, their cheapest burger is nearly £20 too, beef fajitas - £25, every starter is a tenner. If you’re just a couple you should bank on spending nearly a hundred quid - and that’s for the deeply average food, it’s not bad, but it’s no better than average. At least the service is good and the tables clean.

Not good value for money. Low quality microwaved food served luke warm. Purposely confusing 'deals'. Dirty environment. It's had its day. We left unsatisfied. We will not be going back. Edit: Thanks for the response. There's no way to reply so I'll do it here. No, we did not speak to the manager but we did let the server know we were disappointed. They agreed with our sentiments and seemed tired of receiving similar comments.

Been a while since we've been to a TGIs, food was great but blimey it's expensive now! American yellow cab looks more like an abandoned car rather than adding to appearance.

Had a lovely 60th Birthday meal here with my lovely wife. Beth and the team were awesome. All Sang happy birthday. It was that moving it Brought me to tears. Can't thank Beth and team enough. Walked in and immediately got a table, however, we waited for over 20 minutes to order drinks and food, and more than 30 minutes for the drinks and food to come. It wasn't busy and staff walked by many times but apparently were too busy. Food was good but not exceptional, and especially for the price point. I like TGI but am not sure if I'd go again anytime soon, it's too expensive for what you get.

Had a lovely meal here this evening. We've been coming for occasions for years but today was exceptional service. We were served by Angus (or thats the name shown on the receipt) and he was great - friendly, efficient and light hearted. A really enjoyable evening. Ribs and sesame chicken are always a winner. We'll be back for our next catch up.

Walked in. Didn’t look busy was told 15 min wait for a table to be cleaned and to wait at the bar. This is fine we sit down. 45 minutes passes, 10 tables cleared and nobody’s come and seated us. My partner goes and asks how long I’ll be as at this point it was near 9pm. They seated us right away after that and said sorry we forgot you were waiting. Food was bland considering we are regular customers but this time the chips were over done just tasted like batter no potato. Chicken was tasteless and my partner didn’t eat his burger. We are extremely disappointed as we are regular here but never experienced anything like this. Feel extremely let down our £70 bill was wasted really.

Family day enjoyed with a family meal to end. Decided a visit here to satisfy everyone's individual what they fancy to eat. Mission accomplished all enjoyed their meals, and the service was friendly too.

Since TGI Fridays has been open, so that's the 90's, we have never had a bad meal. The food is glorious, delicious. One of my sons has worked there for many years. We have always come back. The staff is extremely friendly and always helpful, especially for birthdays! We have just had one in there today. I wish they brought back the Manhattan wrap though! An absolute pleasure!

Slow staff. When asked for a glass without ice, ice was served. Mentioned I asked without ice, glass was returned after ice was dumped out and dirty. Would not recommend.

I had only ever been to one TGI’s before this one (and that was in America). This one had some of the same atmosphere as America- but the prices were unbelievable for what you got in return. We stayed at a nearby hotel, so checked this place out for convenience, but shall not return again with the over priced menu and drink items here!

It’s ok, food is average, service is average. Hit and miss with how good the food is depending on who’s working.

You know what, the place was cool, made me feel like I was in a bar in America- personally I love that! Food was brilliant, I had the all you can eat sesame chicken on a Monday. Came out hot and fresh everytime-i only managed 8/9 plates of it ;) The staff were nice , the waitress was lovely, popped over and had a new plate out for me quicker than anywhere I have ever been before. To be fair kitchen were on point too! Also had a biscoff milkshake which was very nice 👌 Thank you to the team here for a nice experience will definatley be a repeat customer, wing wednesday is next on cards for me.

Although Angus, our server absolutely provided excellent customer service, the food, overall was, in my view, awful. Just seemed to be “ what’s the minimum standard we can get away with” there was just nothing that inspired anything but this score. We had a variety of starters and mains plus a sundae pudding, nothing even remotely as inspiring as Angus’ customer service skills. Angus 10 food 0. Says it all really. Just shy of £300 and for me, worth, maybe £150.

I visit TGI's every week and always really enjoy the food, and staff are amazing, always friendly and helpful.

The menu is so boring. Since COVID it hasn't been the same where they condensed the choice and they haven't really been the same. Same old dishes, just boring!

If you want to sit for 45 minutes for over prices mediocre food in a grubby atmosphere this restaurant is for you. If not avoid

£20 for a burger at a chain restaurant is obscene, looked at the menu and turned back around and got in my car and went to a local pub instead

Went for my daughter's birthday, the server was very friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem for him. The price is a little on the high end but the food had so much flavour and the portions are great. If you pair your visit with the rewards on their app it rounds the price off nicely. Very good visit, will be back for more.

£20 for a burger !! You could get much much better burgers on street food vans !! Also on them menu , they said meal enough for 4 person ? Well mate plate come to me and trust me ,it's even not enough for 2 person Will never come this place again !!!

Food expensive for what amounts to fancy fodder

We visited to celebrate our daughter's Birthday, and are very glad we did. Our waitress was absolutely brilliant, food and surroundings very good. We'd definitely come back.

Visited for my birthday, haven't been for about 30 years and it will be another 30 before I return. Booked a table for 7pm, waited 40 minutes to be seated. Grubby tables and chairs. Squished into a space. Toilets were disgusting but it was very busy so maybe under staffed. Food wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. Just very unorganised and slow. Over priced, would have had a similar experience in mcdonalds. I will say the staff did seem pretty stressed so maybe just a bad day ⭐️

Service is so slow here. All the food was just disappointing, all luke warm just felt it was under the lights for ages as the chicken sesame strips were abit dry and so were the chips. When the puddings came out, 20 mins later, just didn't seem worth it. The chocolate cake sauce was all melted just didn't hold completely. Used to love going but just this time just felt it's not worth it especially how much it was.

It is the most awful meal we have ever had . It was an anniversary meal!! Food cold from the starter to the main courses ! Very expensive for what it is, No atmosphere at all . Will never go again. The nicest thing was the fresh hot chips after sending the first ones back! Don’t bother going when you walk in and it’s empty! Says it all !!! American style diner food, server was very attentive and spot on with a few special requests. The meal was great and up to expectations cooked well with nice cuts of meat. I had the ultimate American grill which needs to be served with a coleslaw in my opinion so I requested some and it was provided no problem. An enjoyable meal.

Tgi Friday used to be a great place to eat, however I would say in my opinion their quality has gone down and the prices have risen , 20 pounds for a burger , that was over cooked and dry with the roll more like a crouton , we had a shared starter with elements having to be returned as they were burnt. The service was slow at best , the floor was sticky , I will not be returning and I will simply take my business elsewhere.

Returned here after a few years and wanted to update my old review: the food was excellent, delicious tender ribs and the s'mores sundae was exquisite. Kids really enjoyed their meal, which was free when you get their app. Beth our server was lovely. Only downsides were the mocktails were pretty expensive for what tasted like just a glass of juice, fajitas were average, and there was a rowdy table of swearing girls nearby. It can happen on a Saturday late afternoon though. But came away very impressed. Will be back!

I am fuming! We decided to go TGI’s for my granddaughters’ 8th birthday. They inexplicably lost our booking, but we were offered a table but not where we wanted to sit. The menu was poor and devoid of choice. They advertise kids get a meal free when an adult has a main meal, which we ordered, but we were informed that if anyone ordered from the ‘uptown’ menu that disqualified the deal. Even when confronted with me showing them the wording on their own site they were not budging! I used to go for a treat to TGI’s but never again. Overpriced and ‘tired’ restaurant. Ps we left in disgust and went to Frankie and Bennys which was superb!

My 10 year old neice lives near and we like to go togetherto catch-up ....I always ask for the best table in the house, this makes my neice laugh. The food was hot and although not my usual choice I do tend to enjoy it. The staff are fabulous.

Kids food was cold - had to re-fire. Steak had been cooked well, but left sitting too long before delivered cold. Fries were very cold.

I went to TGI Fridays for my wedding anniversary and took my kids . Loads of room and empty seats, but we were put in a corner with chairs not the buffet around the other side . WOW, quite expensive for the amount of food you actually get. Had a pesky fly that kept bothering us which was annoying. Wasn't the warmest place either. 100 pounds and we hardly ate anything, but at 20 pound for a burger you can soon rack up the bill . It was ok, but I'd rather of gone to a carvery or a pub/restaurant and had a proper meal for that money Would I go to TGI Fridays again? No. It's not for me .

Potato skins , not worth the mention , so small even Stuart Little would have been underwhelmed. AVOID AT COSTS – TGI Fridays – Wings Wednesday Well guys here’s my experience of Wings Wednesday & My advice is avoid this place like the plague unless you want to become very unwell or worse you’ve been warned! So visited the Southampton Road Diner to have a meal with my son who’s working in the area & following sight like most of us of social media promotions decided to check the Wings Wednesday experience. Wel what can I say Warm chicken & frozen on the inside so un cooked wasn’t what I was expecting form such a brand or anywhere to be fair as this is dangerous ground for diners. Complained to our waitress who confirmed my concern with the kitchen that it was uncooked frozen & raw. Such a brand like TGI you wouldn’t expect it my advice is avoid this place & spend your money elsewhere YUK!!!!!

The menu is much smaller than it used to be, and the atmosphere was lacking, but that may just have been because there weren't many people there. My meal of pasta and chicken was tasty and good but seemed expensive for what it was. A visit to Fridays used to be a fun treat but it seems just average now.

Went here this evening with grandparents it took over 1 hour for food to come out as "cooked fresh" whe arrived cold/luke warm. After eating recooked hot food we ordered pudding. When it came out and had a film on the chocolate sauce where it has been sat under heat lamp and the spoon was covered in the sauce. All of this happened when there was no more than 3 people.. now i know why it was so empty. Super upset with today as usually amazing at other TGIs. Also the toilets stunk of mould and very unclean overall.

Visited at 5pm with daughter and her partner plus my granddaughter and father of my daughters partner. I last visited here approximately 2 years ago. The place was almost empty. The lady serving us was lovely but that was as good as it got. Food was cold and uninspiring. Menu was limited with ridiculous prices. I love a dessert but passed as approximately 3 items to chose from. Took my granddaughter to change her nappy at 6.30pm, the toilets were disgusting. I know it's the customers making the mess but the toilets had not been checked since 2.30pm. The whole place is run down, tired and uninviting. I won't be visiting again.

The chips have a Cajun coating that is not mentioned. The only thing was (I should of taken a picture but didn't) I asked for no red onion in my burger and I took a bite and saw a bit of red onion. It was like they put it on and then remembered so removed it but not all it, but concerning if it was something that I was allergic too. I didn't complain because I'm not allergic to it and it's bits I could pick out and it was busy.

The menu was poor, seen better selection at KFC.

Lovely decor on the in and outside of the restaurant, we were greeted and sat promptly! We both enjoyed our meals, I had the franks red-hot chicken burger but in all honesty I was a little disappointed due to the lack of Franks red-hot...I would expect either the chicken to be seasoned with it or sauce in the burger but it was just a few pieces skewered on top [which were still nice of course]. My partner had the mixed grill, it was nice but unfortunately the chicken was pretty bland, the steak was very thin and although he asked for it medium-rare it came out well done, Also the bacon chop was overly fatty. Perhaps quantity over quality with this dish? Overall the food and service was very lovely and we would definitely come again!

Food is overpriced and portions are certainly not in-line with pricing. Half rib portion is pathetic! Will not rush back, unfortunately!
