First time going to TGI Fridays in a long time and will likely be the last. Prices were very steep so was expecting some great food which wasn't what we got. The smash burgers were completely black and burnt, each person in our party of 6 literally go lt about 10 fries each. I'd ordered sweet potato fries which they didn't have so was just given house fries (but will still charged for the sweet potato fries), and ones of the kids meals was also wrong. Once plates were cleared we waited over 15 minutes for someone to come take our dessert order, managed to get someone's attention to ask if we could place an order for desserts, they said they'd get someone and we were still waiting another 10 minutes before someone actually came. Desserts didn't come out at the same time and one of the kids sundaes was missing a topping because they didn't have any of that either. Overall we were there from 12:15 until 14:40 which is abnormally long I wish that was the end but then came the bill. Of a party of 6 with 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children, they tried to charge us for 6 adults milkshakes which we had to ask them to change as that's not what we had ordered. We then noticed that the offer we had provided hadn't discounted as much as we thought due to the very poor wording. So we all left very unhappy in the end which was a shames as it was supposed to be a nice day for my son's birthday. I didn't notice until after we had left they had still charged me for the sweet potatoes fries I never got. Very unorganized and incredibly poor food for the price.

In a word terrible! Took 90 minutes for food to come out, the place wasnt that busy. When the food did turn up it was all pretty average, burgers half burnt, no sauces with any of the dishes, and had to wait 5 mins for cutlery to be given out. For the money you pay (£20 for 6 chicken strips and chips) its pretty abysmal. - Update - In reply to the owners response below, we did already submit a query through the website 2 weeks ago, no response was received. 🙃

We have regularly visited TGI Fridays and have always enjoyed our visits. However, our most recent visit left us extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. After being shown to our table quickly, we had our order taken within 5-10 minutes of sitting down which is what we would normally expect. It then took 45 minutes for our appetisers to arrive (which were stone cold) and then another further 30 minutes for our mains to arrive. Our server was nowhere to be seen after they had taken our order, and there appeared to be a lack of staff at anywhere at one point. After looking round, we saw them all congregated round the kitchen window laughing and joking, while us and other tables were waiting for our food. In this time, another table that arrived after us had been sat waiting for roughly 20 minutes waiting to order, before they up and left as nobody had come to see them. We also noticed that one of the pepper pots provided on the table had mould growing in it. We raised with the staff member that did eventually bring out our main (which was also cold). When we raised the issue of our dissatisfaction with the staff member that brought us our bill, they claimed that they had been 'busy' yet the restaurant was more than half empty. Really disappointing level of service and sadly we won't be returning any time soon.

As a family, we left our last visit disappointed with service but after a few months thought we’d give it another go with it being school holidays, give the kids a treat etc. Young lad at the door was attentive but once we got shown to our table - which was right next to the ordering station (half the table in the dark) so numerous staff members were stood right next to us - that was it. Sat there over 20 minutes and nobody even took our drinks order. Wouldn’t have minded as much if it was packed but it really wasn’t that busy. So we just got up and left and won’t be going back.

We used to love TGI Fridays but our recent visit there was terrible. The portion sizes have shrunk and the prices dramatically gone up but that seems to be the same in most restaurants these days. The service was very slow as they seemed to be very understaffed so did feel a bit sorry for them. The sharing nachos starter was just about big enough for one. We had to find someone we could ask for some knives and forks as the food was brought out without any. The glazed chicken burger was a piece of plain chicken without any glaze. The sesame chicken came with a salad which consisted of a tiny pile of sad looking dry red cabbage and the dip you used to get with it no longer comes with it. It then took about 35 minutes after ordering 3 kids ice creams for them to come out. All in all it took almost 3 hours from sitting down to getting he bill. Everything was slow. Definitely not worth the high prices!

We came here on a Tuesday night after some go karting. When we walked in we could see multiple tables that had been used and not cleaned. The entire hour that we were there the tables were not cleaned or wiped. When we were seated at our table we had not napkins or cutlery and the it took 20 minutes for a server to come and take our order. When we did get our food 2 out of 3 of the orders were wrong. Service was slow and not good at all. I could understand if it was a busy night or if they were understaffed but I could see 3 people at any one time having a laugh in the kitchen. We had to flag servers anytime we needed something as we were not checked on. One table waited so long that they left without their food order! Overall not a great experience and will not be back

We tried entering to order after a film, a family in front of us who booked were waiting at the front of the store for almost 20 minutes as we walked in. I approached the servers to kindly ask if anyone was serving the front of house - a member of the serving staff rudely exclaimed "we can see that thank you" with a dirty look on her face as they continued talking. Ourselves, the family in front, and the people behind left and ended up in Frankie & Benny's where we received the usual lovely service. Avoid like the plague.

When complaining to the manager about the low level of service, the manager was also rude! It’s not a customers job to have to chase up their food order. It’s also not a customer’s job to go searching for their own cutlery, the food wasn’t that great either. The table wasn’t wiped down properly and everything was sticky with food still on it. I've been to many different restaurants with TGI's and had varying experiences, but nothing I have ever felt the need to complain about. Our server was actually very kind and accommodating aswell as the folks who greeted us when we arrived, nothing bad at all with service, until after the food came out. My sons food did not come out with the rest of my familys food. We know that not everything comes out at the same time, but it was nearly 20 minutes before until I had to ask where it was. When I went to ask another member of staff where his food was, it had simply not been ordered. It was then made a 'priority' and still took another 20 minutes before his food arrived. My dad then questioned why the service had failed to bring my sons food on time, which the server replied 'yeah, sound' and just left. We were all obviously upset, so asked for a manager to come and explain to us why the service was so poor, the manager told us that we personally attacked the server and that's why she left. The manager didn't really care for anything we were trying to say since she believed the servers ridiculous story. TLDR: avoid this place like the plague.

Ordered 2 kids meals and 2 adults, one of the kids burgers the bread was like a brick, when telling the manager and asking if she would feed it to her children her response was “no I wouldn’t” so how they even thought it was ok to serve it to my children is beyond me!!! The Cajun chicken pasta had 1 piece of chicken in, the other two meals were cold along with the 2 that were in bad condition, we had no knives and forks so had to go and find someone to get us some, then they only brought us 2 when there were clearly 4 people eating, we didn’t get asked how our meals were and then we had to wait 40 minutes to speak to a manager to be told we still had to pay for the meals and the best they could do was offer a measly 25% discount, no customer service in there what so ever. I was also told “ well she’s ate everything other than the bread” about the child’s meal, she was hungry and had 2 pieces of chicken in it the size of a chicken nugget may I add, and she ate it because of the long wait to even get asked if everything was ok. Honeslty disappointed is an understatement and I won’t be going back.

Waited too long to be seated (it was far from busy) Service: we were called “Amazing” and lots of other insincere platitudes- presumably because we managed to choose something from the menu….. oh woopy do! Seat was broken and loose. Food took far too long to come and was awful. It reminded me of the “before” version on Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares. The Nachos were just a lump of cheese with chips and jalapeño. The pasta was awful: virtually no sauce at all, some chopped veg (that looked as though they’d been frozen) and a small piece of grilled chicken on the top. I am far from a fussy eater, but it was dry enough to choke a camel (I left most of it - and I never leave food). We were given a knife and fork - my knife was dirty and you could feel the encrusted food on it. The sesame chicken went down well with the boys (but we had to ask 3 times for barbecue sauce and wait 10 mins). The burgers came for the boys way before our mains. Ok they were on the child menu, but they were mini hors d’ouvre sized (one for each boy)! I’ve never seen such food served up anywhere, and cannot imagine any qualified, self-respecting chef serving that up to customers. I’m not a bad home cook, but I would never serve that to people. This was probably the worst meal I’ve had anywhere - and paid £90+ for 2 adults and 2 children. Thats the last money they get out of us. We will not be back As for the question below about which dishes would I recommend, the answer is “None of them”. Don’t waste your money like we did.

Then waited for menu dint know how long, drinks took forever. We ordered food and waited that long my husband and son went for another drink but no staff to serve so returned to table. Our steak arrived , no cutlery, just 1 steak knife!! My son didn't want mushroom or tomato so none of us got them. Food wasn't hot. I don't like to complain but for the prices we couldn't let it go. We was told that there was only three servers on. I do feel for the staff. I work in hospitality myself. All I can say to the manager, is you need to look at what you are doing, we all know the cost of things but if you carry on over stretching your staff so they can't give quality service then people won't go back. I know we certainly want. The duty manager was lovely. She tried her best. The desserts were on the house but only three was brought to the table.

We haven't been to TGI's for a while now, and I can't see us coming back. Despite being over 50% empty service was slow and a little disorganised. There were errors with meals and items missing from meals. Food prices are high, and portion sizes are small/poor. £8 for some nachos with very little cheese, a small amount of guacamole and sour cream, a little more salsa, and quite a lot of jalapenos (we don't mind this). Oh and only 8 nachos. £20 for a very small portion of their signature sesame chicken strips - a very small portion, particularly in comparison to what the main meal portion of this used to be (for a considerably lower price). £24 for a half rack of their "largest, meatiest" ribs, which were underwhelming, and pretty small to be honest. Children's portions which were very small (too small for our 8yr old) - the one redeeming thing with the kids meals, was there was an offer on to get them free when ordering adult main meals Over £65 Inc. soft drinks after the discount - way too over priced considering what you get. TGI's must be taking a battering from places like Hickory's where food is better, better value, and better portion sizes. In all honesty I wish we'd walked out when we saw the prices, and gone to burger king or McDonald's. I appreciate costs have increased, so prices needed to go up, but they have also massively reduced portion sizes, quality of food, and service levels in the branch. I feel ripped off, and incredibly disappointed that I've wasted one of the opportunities we get to actually dine out, and spent a lot of money at the same time (vs what we got).

We came here on a rainy bank holiday weekend not expecting much. We loved coming here 10 years ago when the food was super tasty. Over the year’s the standard really dropped, the burgers in particular really lacked an overall quality to them, dry and tasteless, and small. We eventually stopped coming. The negatives: The prices are way too expensive, £20.60 for a Jack Daniels glazed burger with fries is just too high. When we arrived there was no front of house staff. After a few minutes a young lad with glasses - who looked like he’d sleep walked into work, took us to our seats. He didn’t really say anything to us. It wasn’t looking good. We sat for 5 minutes when a young man called Jordon introduced himself. He was so friendly and professional, he made us feel like we could relax and we were in good hands. He got our drinks (house pilsner and pretty decent) promptly, and swiftly took our orders. We waited 30 minutes for food, and he topped us up with another round of drinks in the meantime. When the food came Jordon said sorry for the wait guys, enjoy your meal, and let me know if there’s anything I can get for you. A nice touch. To our pleasant surprise the food looked delicious, and plentiful. I got the classic JD glazed burger, and my wife had the chicken strips in JD glaze, with onion rings on the side. It was the best TGI experience we’d had in over 10 years.

Over priced food, food delivered not as described as they had run out of product, cocktails they couldn't produce as again they didn't have the relevant ingredients. And the icing on the cake in a huge restaurant which was probably only 15% full (on a Friday night) so loads of seating availability was when they seated a 'travelling' family right next to us who were loud and rude at which point we chose to leave after paying our overpriced bill of over £250 for 6 of us. A bit like eating in a cattle market. It’s noisy and chaotic, but I guess some people enjoy that kind of thing… The food is good, but WAY overpriced - £11 for a reasonable glass of Malbec and £26 for a tiny steak and a few chips… Staff were friendly enough, but forgot basic things like bringing us cutlery to eat with and serving a full half pint of juice in a glass for a two year old…for the money, you can eat better places, but if you’re lacking inspiration and easily parted from your money - go for your life. Not entirely unpleasant, but definitely overpriced.

We ordered at 7 15 and were told it would be delivered at 8. The order didn’t arrive until 9 10. The food was pretty much cold and had to warm it up in the microwave. One of the desserts was wrong and got fudge cake instead of brownie. We also didn’t receive any marinara sauce with the mozzarella dippers. We phoned the restaurant who said they were waiting for a delivery driver but the delivery driver said he was waiting for an hour to pick up the food. I think we deserve some compensation.

TGI Fridays offers a dining experience with fantastic food, albeit at noticeably higher prices. Despite the expense, the restaurant's unique layout and decor contribute to its vibrant atmosphere. From American street signs to a towering Iron Man statue, the interior design adds an element of fun and excitement to the dining experience. The menu features a variety of delicious options, particularly the grill selections, which boast excellent flavour and quality. Personally, I found the sesame chicken to be a standout dish, bursting with savoury goodness. While the prices may be steep, the food certainly delivers on taste and satisfaction. In terms of beverages, TGI Fridays offers an adequate selection of beers and cocktails. However, it's worth noting that there was an intriguing discrepancy observed—a Budweiser sign adorned the decor, yet Budweiser was not available for purchase. The staff at TGI Fridays are commendable, embodying a friendly and welcoming demeanour while providing attentive service to diners. Their helpfulness enhances the overall dining experience and contributes to a positive atmosphere within the restaurant.

Avoid the place at all costs. We arrived 20 minutes early for our booking and was told we'd have to wait at the bar until out time despite there being plenty of empty tables. We were eventually seated and the woman taking us to our table asked if we're celebrating. It was our son's 6th birthday. Despite telling them this my son recieved nothing special even though other tables around us were sang to by staff etc. When we received our starters they brought an extra one out. Not wanting to be charged for it we told our waiter who asked which one of the doubles up starter we'd like to keep. My wife told him she'd touched one already so that one. He said it does matter the other one is going in the bin. The calamari was burnt and rock hard, the corndogs where cold and the potato skins were burnt with hardly any toppings. We also had no sauces or salt on our table. My son ordered Mac & cheese for his main which tasted like it had zero cheese in it. My wife had the fajitas and the peppers and onions where almost raw amd the cheese she recieved was next to none. My 'ultimate rib combo' came out twice, meaning another meal will have gone in the bin, and I couldn't help but laugh. The ribs were cooked ok but bland, there were about 7 fries, the corn was unseasoned and had no butter and the funniest part was the small pot of dry white/brown cabbage I received as 'coleslaw'. Plates where also dirty. Mid way through the meal we tried to order my son another drink and was told by the only person who came anywhere near us that she couldn't take out order it had to be our server. After 20 minutes we gave up. This was genuinely the worst dining experience I've ever had. Staff had no idea what they was doing, food was dreadful and the coat for this experience was astronomical. Absolute daylight robbery. I wouldn't eat her again for free.

Very poor and slow service, tired and unclean restaurant and incredibly expensive for what you get. We had a prebooked party for dinner on Sunday evening. We arrived on time. It took 45 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive and when they did arrive some were missing. They finally took our food order after us being there almost an hour, when it wasn't really that busy. When the food did arrive, which was 90 minutes after we got there, they just cleared the dirty tables either side of ours had not been cleaned since we arrived. A number of the sides were wrong, a main course was missing and the topped chips were cold because they explained the add the cold toppings onto the hot chips which cools everything down before it reaches the table. The hot parts of the food were actually nice but the missing and cold dishes are not made up for by the good bits, especially at the very, very high price point! Burger and a coke is over £25! When we were done we shared the bill amongst a few people, at the last person the server said the bill was now covered or had only a couple of pounds left. Then went away and recalculated it and said £84 was outstanding - quite a massive and surprising difference(!) and higher than we had calculated. Turns out they had double charged us for a number of items we have to go back today to sort out a refund for. Poor show from start to finish, astronomically priced for what is average to poor food and unacceptable, slow and inaccurate service. Almost all of the servers were very young and absolutely not blaming them - the failing clearly stems from mismanagement. Unfortunately we will not be returning to a place we have enjoyed a lot in the past. So much better out there for the money.

The food was mostly nice and tasty although at times a bit pricey for the portions you get. Two of our hot drinks came cold and it took quite a while to have them replaced. Service wasn't the best we experienced previously in other TGIFs. Two of our plates got collected as we had finished and then 15-20 minutes later no one had come to clear the rest of our table and we had to go and find a waitress ourself as they kept walking past us and it was somehow difficult to get their attention. We then had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to take our order for desserts. We had a 2-hour slot for our reservation and ended up being in there for 2h30 due to how long the service took. The atmosphere itself was good, it wasn't too busy and the music and decor are nice.

Don't think I'll be visiting TGI Fridays again in a hurry. It could honestly be a fun game of spot the waiter. Any issues you have with your meal, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Meal tasted rank, dry meat, over cooked, ordered two of the same meal and both were completely different which was strange to say that these options weren't give to us by the waiter. When the young waiters finished school and actually came back to our table, they didn't seem to understand the menu and what foods came with what. Was this because they didn't work here or because the music was so loud, didn't know it doubled up as a nightclub. Then, when we questioned the bill, the waiter actually checked to see what we had eaten. Disappointed to be honest, dirty cutlery, loud music, sticky floors, leaking toilets, and under trained staff. Won't be visiting again.

Worst experience of my life at this chain. Already had a booking so waiting to be seen and seated at our table wasn't an issue given it being half term for kids. Over hearing the staff though, they were saying, "The kitchen's really busy." "They're struggling." Didn't bode well. So onto the order... me and my wife ordered the 2 for 1 cocktails so 2 each. The passion fruit martini was dreadful. I barely finished my own and could only drink half of hers. It was nowhere near tasting anything like passion fruit. The drink left a horrible acrid chemical taste at the back of our throats. The other cocktail we ordered was a bubblegum fizzy daiquiri, that was palatable but far too sweet and sickly. Had to order a regular coke to swill that out and even then the coke tasted watered down, very off. Starters: Mozzarella dippers, fine. Was warm at least. Calamari, no longer the 'ring' shape, but some weird looking malformed nugget thing. Without even the courtesy of a lemon wedge.. Main: Friday glazed burger with cheese. By the time the server had served it and left, 5 mins later it had gone stone cold. I suspect it and the side of garlic and cheese we had, were sat unattended under the warming lamps for far too long before the ultimate ribs were ready to go with the rest of the order. The garlic bread cheese had fused together and by the time they'd been brought out. Resembling some weird abstract art piece. Back to the burger, along with being stone cold the patty was not juicy and mouthwatering but dry and tasteless. Ultimate pork ribs full rack. At least this main was warm and stayed warm whilst eating. Unfortunately the ribs resembled something you'd buy from a supermarket, where its vac sealed and you'd stick it in the oven for 25mins... at least that'd be worth the money you pay for. So bearing in mind all the above... as we tried to eat our food, we had the passion fruit cocktail under-the-sink-chemical after taste in the back of our throats throughout. As a couple, for the above orders, we paid £110. What a joke. Could have gone to five guys or Nandos for half that cost round the corner. While all business have had to raise prices due to inflation etc etc then you at least still need to be consistent, which this particular TGI chain has utterly failed to do. I'll make sure no one in my immediate friend/family circle ever attends this place going forward.

Ate here on 28/1/24. Was told there was a 30min for a table, which wasn’t an issue. We went to the bar to order drinks whilst we waited. 15 minutes I waited to be served as the bartender overlooked me and my family more than once in favour of other customers who had only just arrived. When I finally got served the waitress was complaining about being at a ‘gig’ yesterday and was struggling to hear properly. This may have explained the lack of drive to serve waiting customers. When we finally got a table, the waitress seemed to be bored/hungover, however she did take our order relatively quickly. We waited about half an hour for food which I didn’t think was too bad. We had to ask for cutlery, which was just taken from one of the many unused tables and might have well been thrown at us. The kids food and mine was lukewarm warm at best. Once we’d finished it was time for the game of find somebody to ask for the bill so we could leave. This only took 20 minutes. I paid quickly and got a bland ‘sorry for the wait’. I’m guessing that by the number of empty tables and yet having to wait for a table that there was a staffing issue on this day which is completely understandable, however the standard of service was abysmal. There was just an air of ‘I can’t be bothered’ and ‘I really don’t want to be here’ about the staff. I won’t be returning to this branch again and judging by the other recent reviews it seems to be a bit of a trend that TGIF’s need to address.

Some of the worst food we’ve ever eaten. We came at 2pm on the 29th January and waited best part of 10 minutes to be seen and given a table when it wasn’t busy at all. We ordered from the meal deal a hot dog with chips and a Coke Zero. The drink came out quickly, but we nearly waited an hour for these horrible hot dogs to come out. Brioche bun: somehow hard and soft, also partially burnt Hot dog: hard and also squishy with no flavour at all Bacon: not even on the hot dog Cheese: looked like it came out of someone, no flavour at all Crispy onions: fine Fried onions: disgusting, wet, more flavour than anything else and was way too much Chips: okay Drink: it was a Coke Zero Overall, never coming back. May have been £20 total but that doesn’t equal poor service and awful food, which seems to match the opinions of other reviewers on here. Also we are both feeling unwell hours after eating there and only eating from there.

Cajun chicken pasta you think it would come with chicken but no I was left wondering to where the chicken was as it was non existent. As I highly disbelieve you can forget the chicken on an item which quite literally contains chicken in the meal some sort of good will gesture could perhaps be considered for this.

Absolutely terrible service - we weren't even give cutlery. The servers didn't interact at all but just put the food down and left. Took ages for our drinks to arrive (20 mins) and they were just plodded on the table. When our starters came, the girl put them down and walked off without even giving us any cutlery. It took ages for anyone to even care enough to take away our starters - that I neatly piled up as a last ditch effort for someone to realise they were finished- asked for the bill several times. Finally got up and flagged one of many staff down (stood having a chat - 4 of them) and managed to get the bill. No one then came to take payment for a long time. Again, had to flag someone down. Would go anywhere else but here - expensive food; the worst service I have probably ever experienced. No one cared and no one could be bothered with us.

On this particular occasion, I deeply regretted not capturing a photo of my meal to visually emphasize the glaring contrast in portion sizes. Despite the regrettable disappointment, I must acknowledge the delightful taste of my starters – a combination of sesame chicken strips and chicken wings. In an attempt to make a satisfying meal, I opted for two starters as a main, while my girlfriend chose the chimichanga. To my dismay, the chimichanga, priced at £19, arrived devoid of any salad garnish, presenting itself as a meager, crusty burrito. In stark contrast, the £10 starter plates I had selected were not only larger but also accompanied by a tasteful salad garnish that complemented the flavors. Despite the initial promise, the overall dining experience left me perplexed, failing to live up to the surrounding hype. The final bill, totaling £50 for two starters, a main, and two soft drinks, added to the dissatisfaction. The ambiance further contributed to the subpar experience, as the restaurant was bustling with numerous birthday parties. The cacophony of kids running around and younger ones engaged in ear-piercing cries created a less-than-ideal dining atmosphere. In hindsight, I couldn't help but think that opting for a more economical option, like a greasy spoon, would have provided a comparable if not superior experience at a fraction of the cost.

The worst restaurant experience I've had in a very long time, possibly ever. The staff-member greeting (sat 20/01) in the evening may have been the rudest front of house employee I've ever seen. Turning away customers when there was room (we know this because we were turned away, booked a table online and came back). We literally saw them arguing with another couple ! The place was filthy, most tables were covered in used dishes not being collected. Starters were fine, mains truly inedible. This place needs new management, immediately. I know its a chain but everything we saw was wholly inexcusable.
