Excellent service from Shannon G, will be revisiting :)!!!

No wonder they are going into administration, only half my food came on the plate and what was brought out was stone cold. Use to love this restaurant but won't be coming back again.

Kacie was our server she was amazing, such a credit to TGIs. She gave my children balloons and made their experience better than usual, made such an effort with us to ensure we had the best service and best time here. Can’t fault her one bit she’s amazing!

The young lady that seated us (possibly a manager or supervisor) was absolutely amazing her customer service was great and checked on us everytime she walked pass - However our actual waitress was not that great.... She either had family or friends in and was spending time with them rather than checking in on us... We were ready to order dessert but she took too long getting us 15mins+ we gave to ask us what dessert we would like but did not come over... It was not busy where we were sitting 3 tables max with no more than 10 people... In the end we had to get up and go to the bar ourselves to ask for the bill from the young lady that seated us as we had to head off for the school run...

Great service in TGI Friday's, Newport rd. First day at uni for me and it was a celebration meal with my mum. Lady who served us was lovely and all our food and drinks came quickly and tasted amazing.

Took my grandkids out for a Treat to ur restaurant at Newport road in Cardiff ! On arrival was left waiting for at least 10 min as there was no one attending to greet and seat people ! I will say that the food was good and our waiter Josh was lovely ! That being said !! My little grandaughter then wanted to visit the rest room !!! Which was disgusting !! Out of 3 toilets , one was working . The others one of which was the disabled loo was full of tissue as flushes not working ! Tissue all over the floor !! Then the was no water coming out of taps in main sink area so had to wash our hands in the little sink in disabled cubicle !! I was appalled at the state of the facilities and after spending quite a large some of money expected the facilities to be at the very least clean and in working order ! Think it is in need of a refurbishment , spoilt our visit ,so needless to say has put me rite off and will not b visiting ur restaurant ever again ! Disgusted !!!!

Excellent place... If served by the right waitress or waiter!! The food is goodl it's burgers, ribs,steaks etc.not for veggies or vegans..! Go there all the time, as I live close. Gabby,Mark,Shannon,Sophie are the better ones...Mark is awesome tho! 😉😁 Great place

Place has gone downhill, was greated by a woman who looked like she hated her job, asked to be seated somewhere else and she said seats where only for booked customers, even though I'd booked a week in advance, told all tables were fully booked, 80% were empty upon arriving up until leaving, food was OK not worth the prices, 2 things Sent back as they were cold, but was refunded. However customer service is horrendous, we wernt offered drinks for about 15mins and waited for around 20 mins for the birthday cake to not even come out, in the end we left!

The food was good today, we had the £7.00 lunch deal, but I only got that because I mentioned it, I wasn't given a menu for it. We had the beef burger & the chicken burger. Both were tasty & we were quick to be served after we ordered, so everything was lovely & hot. Just 1 person serving but there weren't many people there so wasn't rushed off their feet. The server was polite. We like the food choices at TGIs & that's why we go, it does lack atmosphere at lunch times but we're not there for that so not really an issue.

New menu, food was terrible, nit as described and extremely overpriced. We used to live TGIs, but as a family of 5, we definitely won't be going back. Priced at a higher standard, but their standards have sunk drastically. Service was poor, and the restaurant needs a good clean and an upgrade.

Amazing cocktails with lovely decor inside, food was tasty and well presented, service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place. Will be returning for sure. Thank you again

Good atmosphere and perfect staff especially Kacie and Shannon treated me and my family like royalty. Ben the door host gave us a happy smiles all round welcome Would recommend this place especially for a birthday for all ages.

The main entrance was not manned at all. When the door greeter eventually came they were very short in tone and quite rude. The food was very expensive for what it was and the meals were not well prepared or presented there were also components missing from each dish and we had to chase a staff member and then wait another 5 minutes for the missed components to be brought. Definitely will not return and do not recommend.

Fantastic staff who helped me choose the perfectt meal. I'm quite fussy and have allergys. The manager came to help they seem to take allergys very serious. Love the place. Saw the staff singing a few happy birthdays too.

I recently visited TGI Fridays for a quick meal with my partner, and while the food and atmosphere were both fine, what really stood out was the exceptional service we received. We both had burgers and chips, which were tasty and exactly what you'd expect from a TGI Fridays—classic comfort food. The atmosphere was lively, but not overwhelming, making it a good spot for a casual bite. The real highlight of our visit, however, was our server, Chae. From the moment we walked in, Chae greeted us with a warm welcome and brought a much-needed dose of humor to our meal. They had a great sense of timing, keeping things light and fun without being intrusive. Chae truly elevated our dining experience and made us feel right at home. Overall, while the food was solid and the atmosphere enjoyable, it was Chae's outstanding service that made our visit memorable. They’re a real credit to TGI Fridays, and we’ll definitely be back!

I love coming here with my partner for date nights, recently our server has been Chae and they are so attentive, funny and kind every time, I look forward to going in and seeing their face and cracking jokes with them. They have made one of my favourite places in cardiff even better and I can’t thank them enough.

Where do I start? Our server Chae with a C was absolutely brilliant, extremely attentive and hilarious. We both sat there and had an amazing meal. It was myself and my partners day off so we decided to come here before shopping. 100% would reccomend!!

Came in today and was served by a lovely girl called Kacie. She was working on her own but still managed to give excellent service despite it being slightly busy. We booked a table tonight for 12 and was served by Lloyd. He was great, got us all our drinks and made sure we had everything. Sang happy birthday to my brother too. Food was lovely and they have great offers if you download the app which I’d recommend to do. Will definitely be back! Xxx

Expensive for quality of food was disappointed

I come here about once a year and still the same bad quality food and service. Always hoping it gets better sadly it never does.

Amazing service and experience . Came today and booked the children’s party package for 9 children whilst 7 of us parents sat close by. Our server nia was brilliant , she brought out a birthday card and was really chatty with my children , she honestly didn’t stop and nothing was too much . The value of this package is good aswell as children get veg sticks , drinks , main meals and a dessert . Definitely be back !

Amazing staff, great experience

We came to tgi’s for my son’s birthday and they went above and beyond for us. Our waitress , Faheema was amazing , so attentive and made sure we had everything we need . We had around 6 children with us who all had balloons blown up for them. Food and service was amazing especially the jack daniels sesame chicken . Will definitely be returning . Thanks

Workers running around not enough staff . Food was great but a argument over the price of a deal they had on destroyed my daughters birthday . Advertised a pint of pilners 2.95 charged me 6.50 apparently I need a code or something wasn't happy after that .

Terrible quality food at ridiculous inflated prices. I had the chicken pasta which was £20 and had all the hallmarks of a supermarket ready meal. Soggy chewy chicken and rubbery reheated pasta. Felt like I'd been robbed. Can't fault the service but the food and the price we paid was absolutely shocking.

Had a great lunch here today and very satisfied, Natalia was there for us start to finish and made sure we were well looked after, amazing customer service and food!

Visited today with my partner and child, and the bartender Frankie was amazing, super friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious also!

Unfortunately Luke warm food, and hot plates, which was offered to be swapped but we didn’t have time to wait again, I checked with a duty manager if the waitress had told him about our concerns and he didn’t know, everyone was just “sorry “ but I just don’t believe they cared. Don’t think we’ll be going back any time soon

Upon arrival, we thought the restaurant was shut as we couldn't see any staff. We went in, but there was nobody near the entrance to direct us to a table, we therefore had to find someone to ask if they were open/ we could eat. We were eventually seated, but then ignored for thirty minutes to the point where we started to put our coats on ready to leave. At that point, someone came to ask about food and drink orders with absolute apathy. The food itself was okay, but hugely over priced, but it was cooked and served fairly quickly. The alioli was swapped for guacamole without is being asked/informed and the salad had no dressing at all. We finished our food and again waited an extensive amount of time for the bill. As we waited we saw that others had the same issues we had in that there was nobody attending to customers arriving or taking orders causing other people to consider leaving. We eventually got the bill, which was wrong by +£20, although this was rectified straight away albeit with a continued sense of apathy from staff. It was not a busy time of day at all and there were about six staff in often just chatting. I've no objection to chatting but this was excessive. Overall I think it's probably better to just go over the road to Burger King

Very very expensive for what you get. Cocktails aren't 2 for 1 when they are £16 each. Service was terrible, couldnt get refill as there wasnt anyone about to ask, Burgers were nice enough and cooked well. Garlic bread was not good for 6.80! Will not be returning

Very nice attentive service from Natalia and good tasty food promptly served.

The food was great and the driver was a lovely fella but the milkshakes I ordered were badly packaged. The cardboard drink tray had been ripped in half which meant it was unstable and the shakes had spilt over the food packaging which made it difficult for the driver and difficult for me to carry into my flat. I ordered shakes from Five Guys and they packaged them brilliantly. The driver said he’s tried to bring this up with TGIs but said nobody would listen to him
