Food tasted ok at the time but we spent the rest of the weekend with sickness bug. Service was sloooooow too. 15 mins after sitting down we asked someone if we could order. Then the food arrived before the drinks. Not the best experience after spending £80 there

The Rigatoni was very good...but the Lasagne, although a generous portion, was tasteless....bit disappointing

Nunca he tenido una mala comida. Pero el servicio no es bueno. Ya hemos estado varias veces y el personal se ha aburrido de ver a muchachos jóvenes que realmente no parecen interesados en estar allí. Durante nuestra visita, tuvimos que ir al bar varias veces para pedir bebidas y próximos platos, etc, ya que nunca vinieron a preguntarnos, solo para encontrar a 4 de ellos simplemente de pie allí charlando. Tenemos que decir que estamos pospuestos volver por esta razón que es una pena, ya que la comida siempre ha sido excelente.

Pequeño restaurante italiano, hogareño, con ambiente trattoria. Sacrilegiosamente tuvimos vino portugués (lo siento), pero era genial. La comida era como se mencionó, italiano hogareño. Con estar tan cerca de nuestra casa, sin duda volveremos. Harry, nuestro servidor, era genial también, amable y servicial. Espero que esté en la próxima visita.

Have eaten here several times, never had a bad meal but the service has always been questionable at best. Always seems to have plenty of staff, but, they seem to like to gather behind the bar and chat rather than tend to tables. It’s not a big place, it’s just desperate for the staff to be coordinated to be effective. Seated but no drinks taken, had to prompt for food order. Plates not cleared, had to ask for desert menu, had to ask again to order deserts, had to go to the bar to pay. Given the quality of the food, it’s a real shame, and hard to recommend over the service and on paying is expecting a tip.

We went for Sunday lunch...booked just half hr ago and got seated immediately up on arrival. The decor is cute and rustic, the staff are very friendly. We placed the order for drinks starters and mains all together. The starters are to die for, and I would highly recommend the crostini con gamberetti is to die for....simply delicious and fresh Prawns...it comes with Sourdough bread, we didnt alter the dish but the sauce it came with was amazingly beauitful and yummmmyyy...really was chef kiss dish. The mains we liked the Spaghetti Zucchine & King Prawns which was properly seasoned and had a nice kick to it...simple loved this one. My daughter ordered Chicken Porcini, which is sautéed chicken, porcini mushrooms in creamy sauce... I think this lacked a bit of seasoning, but I still ate it but nit heartily. My husband ordered the vegetarian pizza which was Pizza Zucca, Gorgonzal & Noci - which is Pizza with Pumpkin, Gorgonzal cheese and nuts I would have gone for a little bit sweet taste...probably need some chilli flakes and ...but beware the cheese is gooey and yummyyy this is for cheese lover they would really love it. The mango sorbet and the Torta De mele (apple pie) served with ice cream were excellent as well. Would recommend this place.

El servicio es reemplazado por jóvenes. Todos pedimos Lasaña, que no estaba caliente en el centro. Sigue siendo un precio razonable, pero en general decepcionante.

Wanted somewhere for brunch on a Sunday morning, online said it opened at 9. Waited for 15 mins until 10 for it to open, we were greeted and sat down waited for a while to order only to be told no brunch on Sunday. Which we could have been told only drinks when we arrived.

Breakfast was awful, eggs overcooked and tasteless , sour toast was rock hard and hard to eat. Coffee rubbish.

Como el único restaurante italiano en Radyr, reservamos esto ya que estábamos visitando ancianos en leyes que viven aquí. La comida era preciosa y encantadora, servicio rápido. Era sábado por la noche y muy ocupado. Me gustaría complementar al personal que se ocupa profesionalmente de lo que solo se puede describir como una “Karen Boomer” que comenzó - quejándose de que había “reservado la mesa de la ventana” como otra parte (que había reservado un espacio anterior) todavía estaban comiendo. Esta mujer era ruidosa y grosera y horrible para el personal joven. El gerente le dijo respetuosamente que esta es una opción “si está disponible”. Estaba disgustado por su comportamiento y ella estaba estropeando la comida de todos. Bien hecho al personal por mantenerse tan tranquilo y profesional.

Generoso tamaño de porción. Precioso tiramisú. El restaurante tenía algunas migas en sillas y debajo de las mesas, así que podría haber estado más limpio, pero los baños estaban limpios. El servicio no era problema. Lástima por el gran grupo de niños ruidosos de 10 años en la mesa de al lado, que era horrible, pero no se puede culpar al restaurante por eso. Almuerzo especial dos platos £ 15. 99 .

Lovely place and great breakfast menu! Haven't eaten here for years and was really pleased to see the same high standard. Will definitely be back for an evening meal.

Bit of a shame this one, as only restraint in Radyr. No card payment only cash when I visited last. Service very frosty and strange. Will try again but don't expect a huge difference.

Not family oriented as complete lack of room for pushchairs. We were told to fold them and needed to be put away in the staff room which is inaccessible to clients. Food was well prepared. As a main I had the ox cheek which was melting and tasty. Husband had the salmone tagliatelle which he said was really spicy and he didn’t like it due to being so spicy. In the end, we had the bill and we had to remind them to deduct the deposit.

Evening meal Saturday with family did not think food to normal standard, older man owner/manager very brisk when serving and no allocated waitress that meant delays with everything we ordered. For the price didn’t think very good value.

First time here, table only cleared from starters when we asked the staff to clear it. Served a small piece of warm lasagne with very little meat for £15. Won't be returning.

Ate in for lunch with the family today, accommodated for our baby's pram, lovely food, great service and a great atmosphere.

The food was really good and reasonably priced. Had a nice bottle of wine for £20. Had the Parma ham and salami pizza which was just how I like it. Amazing crust. Tried some of the sea bass also and lasagne which were all up to the same standard!

have read various reviews some good some bad as far as i am concerned the food was as good as many of the places i have ate in italy please remember the ingreadences are different had a good wine not overpriced good comunication with staff in my oppinion a good restaurant

Booked an early meal for 4 people and it was a bit quiet but to be expected- some confusion as to whether we could order from 2 course menu but resolved- food was excellent and really goid value. Staff were quite young and a bit inexperienced but were very friendly and attentive. Definitely go back soon.

Excellent food & good atmosphere but the service was a bit of a let down. A lot of empty glasses left waiting for a while and no real interaction with the staff.

Came tonight for a meal, sat next to a very draughty door….. Cold inside some people sitting in coats waited a considerable time before anyone cane to take our drink order all three tables who sat after ours had their drink orders taken before ours!! Food was very average this time pizza was wet and not very tasty, house wine at 12.5% was particularly unpleasant. Not a great experience this time. Would recommend Volare in Caerphilly unfortunately they were fully booked says it all really ….

The food was absolutely delicious! By far the best Italian food I have ever had. The food was simply delicious and the portions were ample, which is always a fear of mine when I get pasta! Service was friendly and I will definitely be coming back.

Had an enjoyable lunch from the good value set lunch. Service could be friendlier and our waitress was hard to find at times so I had to go to the till. Food is decent enough.

My daughter treated me to lunch.It was very busy but staff were very attentive. We both had Carbonara with garlic bread It was delicious.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch as heard they had started it again . Had a three course lunch which was really excellent - good portion size and very well cooked and presented . Staff very friendly and helpful . Special mention to Saverio who made our afternoon - thank you !

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. We went out for a special occasion and feel very disappointed that I choose this restaurant for this occasion. Firstly we had to move tables as there was a large party sitting near and their child was screaming and being extremely loud (over excited) and we couldn’t even talk or hear the waitress. Then when our main meals arrived my lasagne was cold in the middle they were apologetic but everyone had finished their meal before I had mine. Not even a drink whilst I waited was offered. Sadly first impressions was not a good one.

What a shame. The waiter (assuming manager) was rude and very unwelcoming. Don’t go if you’re hungry because the position sizes are very small. My pasta was bland. They brought our dishes out and didn’t even ask us if we wanted black pepper or Parmesan cheese…unheard of in an Italian restaurant. We also asked for the desert menu 3 times because deciding to leave. Won’t be doing back.

Effettivamente cucina italiana!

I've being coming in and off for years. I can see the portions aren't that great and unfortunately the service was poor this time. They didn't let I'd know they'd run out of a few ingredients until they served the pizza without it! I'd go again because we might have had a bad night.

Came for dinner, reserved a table the day before (reservations are recommended I would say because it can get busy). The food was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and the decor was lovely. The only thing I would say is the tables are quite close together, but the restaurant overall isn’t huge so it’s clear to see why they’ve done it to fit more people in (I don’t blame them!). I would highly recommend a visit, book in advance!

Stopped off for a coffee and a snack recently, whilst service was OK, we sat outside as weather sunny and a pleasant place to relax after a walk. We could not help but notice how untidy the seating area is...not swept at all Fag ends, dirty dog bowls with dirty water. it looks scruffy. Please take a bit of pride in your establishment.

Really great place for Italian food. We had a good time here. The service was good, helping us with allergy information. I had a nice lasagne, the side salad was really generous, great French fries. Mum mum enjoyed her salmon, and my father really liked his chicken with cream mushroom dish. It's definitely worth visiting. We will be back if down that way again to try some more of the menu.

Great coffee & cheaper than coffee chains.

This is a nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food is nice but not outstanding. The starters are fabulous however I've tried a few pasta dishes and on every occasion thought "That was nice but I wouldn't have it again." Pizzas are lovely and staff are lovely too.

We stumbled on this place after a disappointing visit to Ty Nant which did not look very inviting anyway but they closed the kitchen early on a Bank Holiday and would not serve us at 1955 hrs. So lucky for us! Cicchetti was a lovely traditional Italian trattoria: they welcomed us in, food was gorgeous Peroni on tap, house red, specials on the board, and lovely surroundings. DH has seafood linguine and I had lasagne. We shared a green salad, shared a tiramisu, and with drinks it came to about £60. Service was prompt and friendly. Nice to see about 17 other diners on a Monday evening too and that contributed to a pleasant ambiance. Can't believe they've been there 20 years and I didn't know. I'll be going back.

We have been going to cicchetti for many many years but it just gets more and more dissappointing! Had a meal there 2 weeks ago....dissapointing again as just not particulary tasty...hand rolled pasta....really! After a walk called in for drinks today...as well as other drinks we asked for 2 cokes, 3/4 of the bottle was poured into the glass but we were not allowed to take what was left in the bottle!!!! We were told they only sell coke by the glass not the bottle!! The 2 bottles were left under the bar untill eventually after insisting we were given the rest of the bottle. What were they going to do with what was left in each bottle? There are never any handtowels or toilet paper in the womens toilets which always seems 'not quite clean'. The place has just got very shabby and the staff definitely not customer friendly

Simply wish this restaurant was near where I live, I just happened to be staying in the area and came across it. Fabulous food, very tasty and served hot. Lovely buzzing atmosphere and people eating inside and out and seemed to be enjoying themselves. I had an amazing tagliatelle al fungi with a beautiful green side salad , along with a beer what’s not to like. I hope to come back again if back in the in the area o try another great dish

Always love coming here..it's far more authentic then our other local Italians, the staff are always friendly (and Italian), there is always a pleasant atmosphere and the food!.. 🤌🤌 wine and cocktails are high quality too ❤️

Stopped by here for a late dinner. They do seek to be more a reservation place but was able to sit outside for a table of me. Service seemed a bit slow but ok otherwise. It had the rigitoni bologna which had a decent amount of meat in the sauce. Sauce had good flavor and the pasta was a nice al dente. Has a small glass of wine and garlic bread to go with it. The garlic bread portion is definitely enough to share with 2-4 people. Overall a decent Italian restaurant to visit.

Over the years had lovely meals here. Mothers day was very poor. Ran out of vegetables so ended up with chips and mash on same plate. Very dissappointed.

We visited for the first time for my husbands birthday recently. We were greeted very quickly and shown to our table. The. Restaurant is lovely and we liked the way it was laid out. The place was spotlessly clean. The food was lovely….can’t fault it but the only thing that let the experience down was the slow customer service. The two waiting staff looked incredibly young and to be fair it was quite busy for a Tuesday evening but we had to ask for everything and wait for ages in between each course….there was an older managerial type person working but he was more interred in watching the football with two of his mates who were also eating in the restaurant…the lack of customer service was the difference in giving a 5 star review as opposed to a 4 star review. We would still visit again as the food was lovely….but hoping the next time the service is better.

Enjoyed the food and service would be happy to return again.

We visited as a party of 4 last Friday evening. The food was delicious however our evening was totally spoiled by the terrible service. We had to ask for menus, then ask to order. Our food came relatively quickly however our plates were left sitting on our table for over half an hour, with staff constantly walking back and forth past our table. We had to ask for the dessert menu, which was eventually brought over by a waiter, who still didn’t clear our plates. The staff seemed far more interested in prioritising the people coming in to collect take aways, rather than the guests dining in. To reiterate, the food was delicious but service dreadful. We will not be returning.

Always very accommodating and friendly , the staff will go out of their way for you. If you're a creature of habit and like to keep things simple, order the spaghetti Bolognese..it's faultless. Always a good atmosphere with nice food at a competitive price. Well done Chichetti ✅

Had a stunning king prawn in a garlic and chilli oil to start. For a main I had an amazing seafood risotto. Great service and great food.

Great restaurant, pleasant atmosphere and service, my one concern was there was no apparent heating ( Visit was during December) but with the cost of utilities today one has to give a little on that one.

On a day trip from London to South Wales, we were delighted to find this oasis of Italian hospitality in Radyr, once a small village and now an urban extension of Cardiff. Located in what is believed to at one time been the Post Office...

The staff are delightfully friendly, and offer you service with a smile, even if you are just ordering a cup of coffee. The shelves are laden with authentic Italian food that can be purchased at the front counter. From Pasta to antipasti and olive oil, you can find something delightful to take home and cook. If you prefer to have something in-house. There is mouthwatering array of food to suit every pallet, be it pizza or pasta that you are looking for, or just a coffee with some tasty treats. If you love genuine Italian food, then this is most definitely the place for you to come and dine. It is also licensed to sell alcohol. All Italian of course

Nice looking restaurant, the service was interesting I had a Calzone which was one of the best I've had but it came on a cold plate which spoiled the experience, the molten cheese solidified all such a shame. Very nice wine if a little expensive,...

We found our takeway pizzas disappointing, principally because of the poor quality of ingredients in the topping, nor were we impressed by the welcome or friendliness of staff.

Nice atmosphere but food decidedly average and pizzas very salty.

Good food, good services - only trouble were a fly was bothering us all our stay.

Very expensive for what is on the menu also online it advertises a lunch menu when you get there they say they haven't got one so need to change there advertising to the owners question my daughter googled it online

Been a few times now. A nice little place, lovely food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. It's always busy which just shows how popular it is. Also big shout out to the Radyr Tap micro-pub across the road. Both establishments helping the thriving bustle of Radyr 🙏

Have been so many times there with great meals but on 3rd August 5 of us went for lunch.Oh dear food not what it has been( Lasagne crusty for eg) but the main thing is we were charged for too much as in £181 !...

We live local & have been here many times, however on this occasion the 2 pizzas we had were just not very good - Saturday evening 16th July We’ve never, since it opened, ever had such a poor pizza - we each chose different ones...

Went here this morning looking for full English unfortunately they don't do one but they offered to get as close as they could to one the beautiful young lady and the lovely chap she was working with could not have done anymore for you they make you feel welcome and comfortable I had omelette cheese chicken and mushrooms it was very nice indeed just one criticism which half way thru eating it I seen snotty egg whites which put me off a little but I still ate the lot really tasty

This restaurant provides good Italian mains, desserts luck of the draw not always a selection. Unfortunately we do not find the manager very helpful takes the order then no contact, and no acknowledgement on arrival. The young female staff more friendly. More cleaning between guests...

I can't praise this place enough! Delicious, authentic Italian food. Incredible wine selection (we got to taste 3 and each was delicious!). Lovely, genuine and attentive staff. Great coffee to finish off the meal. I can't wait to visit Cicchetti again to continue going through the rest of the menu!

Lovely small local restaurant. The pizza and pasta dishes were both really fresh and tasty and table service was attentive. There is an outside section and inside section so suitable for any weather.

Gorgeous food , nice size portions. Friendly staff and an extenstive gin list . ENJOYED
