TGI Friday's in Wakefield

Food was lovely came in good time. We were served by Joseph C, who was really lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you.

Jonathan C has looked after us very well, he was quick and effective. The food was amazing as always, we didn’t have to wait too long. Will be back again

We are regular customers of this Fridays and this was one of the best trips we have had recently, Elden was super polite, attentatove and enthusiastic he is a true asset to the company and we will be back!

Elden.c was great provided great service and really friendly, couldn't do enough for us was always checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed

Great dinner, Kiera was superb. Had the sticky chicken and smash burger. Would recommend to anyone visiting. Good choice of drinks

We went on Saturday afternoon for a family get together for our nephews birthday. We ordered a drink from the bar whilst waiting for everyone to arrive. The bar staff member who served me could really do with a course in how to treat customers with at least some level of politeness….. it was almost like it was an inconvenience to her to do her job! Anyway….. things did get better because we had the Fantastic Grace as our server. An absolute asset to TGI’s for her attentiveness and superb work ethic. Many of the other members of staff were doing very little for the two hours we were in there for but Grace honestly never stopped! She was serving multiple tables, greeting customers on arrival and tiding tables up. Keep up your great work Grace…. You’re a Superstar!

Haven't been to TGI's in a while and the food remains average but the server Jordan J made the whole experience. He was attentive, funny and possibly the best server I've ever come across! Thank you!!

Well what a night, we had grace as our server and honestly she is a credit to tgi fridays she went above and beyond for my partners birthday and my little boy she honestly deserves a medal for her service tonight! THANK YOU GRACE :)

Popped here for a last minute meal out. Food was hot when brought out and really tasty. Our server was Elden who was great 👍🏻

Terribly slow service, mediocre overpriced food Took 45 mins to get starters and then another 20 min to get main courses Very overpriced for the quality and quantity of food We had one gluten free diner and the new TGI menu has way less gluten free choice and no desserts other than a sorbet Hard Rock Cafe is about the same price for far superior drinks, food and service and a significantly broader gluten free choice

Absolutely shocking service , lack of management was evident , 50 minutes for our starters to come , ordered refill drinks but couldn’t get anyone to serve us to get them refilled then a further 45minutes for a main course in which portions were miserly and poor quality

We took our children straight from school so got there for about 3:40pm. After being sat for 20 minutes someone finally came to take our order. There were about six tables with one person seating customers, taking orders, running food, making drinks, clearing tables and getting people their bills - this explains why we didn't get a refill whilst there. The drinks came - my wife's without a glass or straw and our children with warm Caprisuns. We asked for a glass which was filthy. Almost exactly an hour after walking through the doors our food arrived with the help of the kitchen staff to run it. Our children were missing a side each and our food was luke warm. How can it take an hour and not come out piping hot? Really disappointed. The place is grubby and needs a good deep clean. There were at least four tables around us that needed clearing and the backs of the seats are full of old food. It's disgusting. We have been coming here for years but this will be the last time. The price increase in the menu isn't reflected in the quality of food or service provided. It's clear you are trying desperately to cut costs but it is counter productive as I didn't see one happy face whilst we were sat in there . I did write in with the survey they sent out but I was ignored hence this review.

Super friendly service from Faye and Jordan and the food was excellent as expected from TGIs at Xscape will definitely be coming back

Visited on a Monday evening, booked for 7pm but on arrival it wasn't that busy. Rather odd that we were advised on the online booking we'd have to vacate our table by 7.55! We thought we'll take that with a pinch of salt and I totally get that places don't want undue lingering but to give 1 hour? Ridiculous. So anyway we are shown to our table and get drinks and then order food. No starters, just mains. My wife's meal plus a side dish arrived at 7.35, no sign of mine. I was just about to get up (no server in sight) after 5 mins when it arrived. No problem with the meal, very good. Of course we'd barely finished one course when the 'eviction' time came and went. Around 8.20, I beckoned a server over and said could we have the dessert menu now, as we'd previously said we'd wait a few minutes. Eventually a sour faced young lady brought it over and then disappeared. 15 minutes after that I had to call someone over again and our order was taken and arrived a few minutes after that. I enquired about our original server to be told they'd finished at 8... Obviously I complained about the dire service and considering the place was quiet was even worse than it should have been. I ended up with a suitable discount but it's not like it's a cheap place to eat. What a shame, the food was good, the staff hopeless. They need a lesson in customer service like my experience at the Hard Rock Cafe in Leicester Square in London recently. They know how to do it.

We had a lovely lunch today and Lewis looked after us really well. Thank you ☺️ the food was good and everywhere was nice and clean. All the staff were friendly.

Our family of six chose to go here for dinner after a birthday bowling treat. The waiter who showed us to our table was so unenthusiastic that two of our party commented on how he must really hate his job! We sat down and looked at the menu - the prices have seen a significant hike since any of us last visited, with most meals at least £20, and adding garlic bread cost £7! After ten minutes, no one had come to take our drinks order, and we decided to leave. Three members of staff were postioned by the door, including the cheerful waiter. We all commented on how badly we had been looked after while we were there, and they all just stood there with their mouths open! Avoid at all costs - there are better places to eat at Xscape.

Went bank holiday Monday for a treat for my daughters food was great but the real treat was having Joseph C for our server his customer service was spot on a credit to the castleford branch . Very friendly and and very attentive Thank you

Upon entering the establishment my wife and I clocked at least 6 staff members standing towards the rear of the restaurant, despite no less than three separate staff members looking in our direction it still took 5-6 minutes for a staff member to come and ask if we wanted a table. I greeted the waiter and asked for a table for two, and got no smile, no response, and just a curt "follow me" before he walked off not bothering to check if we were following. Upon reaching the table their was no cutlery, the seats were sticky, and the waiter who seated us didn't ask if we wanted a drink, he didn't bother to ask if we'd been before - nothing. Starters: Prawns and Mozzarella Dippers Prawns were more batter than meat, waitress who delivered the food forgot the dip, didn't know where to locate cutlery as none were on the table, and didn't ask if we wanted anything else. My wifes dippers also came without dip, however she was less bothered than me so ate without it. We ordered drinks with yet another waiter, clearly section control is no longer a thing done by Managers. Speaking of managers! The only person who looked like a manager was busy looking after her three children and completely ignoring the staff and customers. Mains: Half Ultimate Ribs and Fajitas The ribs were nice, very soft and fell off the bone, unfortunately this is where the positives end as the chips were tepid, the coleslaw paper-like and lacking crunch, and like the chips, warm. The corn on the cob wasn't grilled or buttery but rather dry and chewy. My wifes fajita was presented on a board with a skillet that was not even close to sizzling, and the wraps squashed into a box so much so that they were stuck together. *As both me and my wife have a combined total of over 30yrs in hospitality, working at every level of the industry I could not be more disappointed to find an establishment such as this working at such a poor level, with staff who do not care, lazy chefs, and managers whose priorities are anything but the success of the team and establishment they run. Definitely will not be returning.

Food was terrible! Very average and no taste. Choices were limited and prices are ridiculously high for what you get. Would not recommend and would not go again

Our waitress today was Fran and she was very attentive. Food was Suberb. Atmosphere was great. Kids was easily entertained with the decor in the restaurant.

Food was amazing as always but the service provided by Jordan J was exceptional! Always topping up our drinks and checking everything was ok with our meals! He really did go the extra mile and couldn’t do enough for us! Thanks again!

If I could give it a zero I would. Visited last night 15th April and we will not be back. Took 10mins for someone to come seat us and by god she had a face like a wet weekend. Took 25mins for someone to come take our order (the restaurant was dead) you could tell he didnt want to be there. Took forever for our drinks to come. We had starters prawns were like rubber and awful the corn dogs were lovely. Our Mains burgers were dried overcooked and burnt they were awful the best bit about the Mains were the sides they were lovely. We had no checkback on our food so couldn't let anyone know. When they came to clear plates they didnt even give us chance or ask us why so much food was left. We paid and left. It's definatley gone down hill big time and we definatley will not be back.

Came for a birthday and blown away by the quality of service from Jordan J. Food was delightful, ordered the bottomless sesame chicken strips and Jordan was super attentive making sure we had consistent refills of both the bottomless food and drinks. Went above and beyond to guarantee a happy birthday with balloon crowns and birthday cake. Such a wonderful server and we are so grateful to have had a lovely dining experience!

Visited the Castleford TGI's beginning of the month fir dinner. Joseph Costello was brilliant, made sure we were OK throughout. Really kind and polite young man.

Brilliant staff brill service and a big thank you very much to are server fran. Corndogs were absolutely amazing sesame chicken was lovely and sundae was 10/10

Excellent service,Jordan J is friendly, approchable,cheerful and has a great knowledge of the menu and offers available to me. The service was quick. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
