TGI Fridays in Stevenage

Have been to TGI’s many times in the past but not for a number of years. Was shocked when I saw the price of the dishes on the menu, very expensive compared to other restaurants. Was even more shocked when the dishes arrived & saw the portion sizes. They certainly do not justify the prices! Service - apart from being shown to our seat & delivered food, there wasn’t any. Food - was in all honesty terrible. Luke warm & lacked any real flavour. To top it all off my son was sick later that evening so I now question if his chicken was actually cooked!! Perhaps someone from TGI’s should take a moment to read the reviews as they are not good. I will never be returning.

Booked a table to give it a try but will never return. Only good thing was the service from the waiter. Really nice guys! Couldn’t faults Dessert was lovely. Food service was very fast too. Just a listen of why I’ve given this restaurant a 3* - food was over priced and overall wasn’t the best! - toilets were disgusting! No locks, no toilet paper, dirty and no soap! - open kitchen… kitchen staff swearing and shouting at each other. While sitting there with my children, I didn’t appreciate the shouting “don’t f**king talk to me like that” When I asked for the manger, they never showed at the tables. We just decided to eat up and go. Such a shame as hear so many good thinks about FGIs Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

We arrived for our table but requested a table by the window, we were Astoria short wait to clean table which was fine but after a table wipe, no menus no cutlery and no drink order taken. We waited and waited then left the restaurant

Visited Friday 5th April. Nice main course didn’t have a starter or pud . Very friendly staff nice and clean . Down side was being overcharged and not noticing until a few days later didn’t get the 2-1 offer was charged for both drinks also over £6 for a bottled beer bit expensive

We arrived and there weren't many tables it was a quiet Monday. We waited a long time until a server came over. She wanted to take our food order but we hadn't had drinks yet. We were waiting so long we had already chosen our food options. We ordered beers which came out at room temperature (not great) our starters came which were enjoyable. As soon as we finished our mains meals we're brought over just as quickly as our waitress removed our starter plates. We saw other tables complaining and food brought back to he kitchen. Our Burgers were cold and very salty. We weren't asked if we wanted any condiments I had to flag someone down. there was no hospitality check for any of our food. And to top it off it was extremely expensive. This ladies and gentlemen is text book of how to not experience good hospitality. The toilets were dirty and soiled and had clearly not been cleaned Please avoid this please always used to be good but has now turned into one of the worst experiences I have ever had

Ordered a drink at the bar, starters were good, mains came was a mess just slop on a plate, cold food. Spoke to manager whom i was complaining too then walked off half way through me complaining!!! Paid for starters and left. What a terrible restaurant no wonder on a Saturday night only 5 tables taken. Go elsewhere plenty to choose from in the retail park.

Was shocked at the prices, cheapest main meal was pasta dish for £19, side of garlic bread £6.50 😳 they had a mixed grill for £38 but it didnt look any different to your normal mixed grill. when did it get so expensive! We opted for the burgers but they were so tasteless I had to add the dip on the side of the plate in the burger to give it taste. The burger its self was really salty. The mini children's meal was reasonably price at £5.95. It's safe to say I don't think we will ever eat a tgi Fridays again. Massively overpriced

We got conned - there were 7 for bottomless brunch - 5 opted for the extra £10 to upgrade cocktails - the other two stick with original deal of 29.95 and drank 2 glasses of coke but were charged extra for the coke and were not told they also had to pay 39.99 because the others had upgraded. If we had been told we would’ve drank cocktails too but we’re trying to save a bit of money with the cheaper option DONT be tricked!!

Great restaurant, brilliant staff and lovely atmosphere the decorations around the restaurant were immaculate would go again

Unlimited sesame in the way forward!!! I physically couldn’t move afterwards. Need a siesta! Refill Coke Zero to wash it down with too!

This place is quickly becoming my addiction! The food is always perfect and the bar is a Joyus place to be! I come for the nachos! I STAY FOR THE COCKTAILS!

We dined here last night, we ordered the mac cheese bites, they were rock hard literally couldn’t get my fork in them. Then we decided to ordered two portions of ultimate ribs (If something states ultimate with a price tag of £28 each I would expect something of magnitude) What we received were the smallest baby back ribs that would come in a packet similar to what you would get from Aldi for less than £5 they were dry. If it wasn’t a quick pit stop after a 4hr drive I would of demanded my money back. Before we left we used the toilets, what we was greeted with was THE worst maintained toilets I have ever experienced in my life. Check my reviews I go to a LOT of restaurants. The urinal were out of order they were blocked by bar stools and tape, what are they going to do just put the bar stools back in the restaurant disgusting! So we were forced to use the cubicle I have attached a picture. I couldn’t believe my eyes. If you can get past the s$*t they clearly haven’t been cleaned for days if not weeks the dust at the back of the seat was 1inch thick wet paper stuck to the walls sh@t everywhere I raised this to the staff she seemed suprised but nothing was done, my thoughts are she knew about it. Most of the staff were sat at a table when we arrived early evening about 18:00 only a couple of diners. Come on TGI sort it out!!

Amazing food and service. Cocktails was amazing the best espresso martini I’ve ever had!!!!! The service is excellent what a lovely young lady serving us, So polite and just lovely. Really recommend a visit

Went for two friends birthdays would never go again. We was offered one drink the whole 2 hours we were there. When we did get drinks they came over wrong and when asked for it to be swopped the same drink was bought back or at least the same glass as same shade lipstick on it. Food was a good standard but once food was delivered staff never came back and table was cleared. We had to find a staff member to pay the bill. It wasn't that there was't another staff or that the restaurant was busy but 50% were chatting at the bar.

Late lunch/early dinner The restaurant was not busy at all, the service was so slow. Since we had been in here 5 tables had sat un cleared with 5/6 staff members walking past them. Food was average. Will not be returning. Maybe a re train in customer service is needed!!!

Bottomless brunch at tgi is always a great experience. The staff always go above and beyond to make it a fun time, very attentive so plenty of prosecco flowing! Big shout out to Aryan and Kai for top notch service, both these guys are so friendly and welcoming. They love to join in with the party and are always so upbeat and lively. Our first choice place for a boozy brunch celebration xx

Came today for bestfriend’s birthday brunch menu. Had the best server Daniel, so attentive and always has best recommendations for cocktails! Couldn’t have asked for a better server. Never failed to bring us drinks, best service we’ve received. Amazing food too!

Everything from the moment I walk in to the moment I left was fulfilling, serviced and proper. The staff all on hand whenever needed and the manager catered excellently to my tricky allergy requirements. Will be back soon 👍

I thought I would treat my in-laws to a meal to a meal out. Only to end up doing bottomless brunch and it being one of the best nights out we could've hoped for. A night full or laughing, crying and creating a special bond. Made all the better from the Tgi Fridays staff, always attentive but not to the point of annoyance. Joking around with the Manager and playing games with the bartender. Truly superb!!

Not as great as in the past. Table was sticky. Floor was sticky. Neighbouring tables were left piled high with half eaten food and plates for a long time. Fajitas were mostly onion - strange wilted onion that tasted and looked like it was out...
