Tgi Friday's in Manchester

I used to be a regular visitor at the branch in Leeds, however my last visit was very disappointing but thought I would give the Manchester branch a go. However, it appears that the poor quality and temperature of food, which they think is acceptable not only occurs in Leeds. It took a few minutes for anyone to even notice we were there waiting to be seated. Once seated we were placed directly under a speaker playing quite loud music, so I requested to be seated somewhere quieter so I could speak to my husband. We ordered 'messy cheeseburgers', when they arrived the burgers were overcooked and burnt around the edges which made them very tough. The burgers were very thin and nothing like the picture in the menu, if they had have been thicker maybe they would not have been burnt. The fries that came with the burger were barely warm, as if the plates had been left stood before being served, I had to dig lower in the tub to get a warmish chip. Although a man who appeared to be a manager passed our table several times, not once did he ask if everything was ok. However, once finished I made it my disappointed clear when the plates were collected, and the price of one burger was deducted off the bill. Suffice to say, I will not be visiting any branches of TGI's in the future.

Great TGIs. Always really friendly quick service. Great cocktails and the sesame chicken strips are amazing. Perfect place to stop on the way to catch a train.

We waited at the bar for a table as they stated they were short staffed. It took around 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar to which when it came it was very sour due to running out of some ingredients. When we eventually got seated, the food was nice with a generous portion of sesame chicken strips which are always tasty!

Popedin to the station TGF last night well it was my first time and it could not of been better never had to ask for a top up on my drink the lady looking after us Yenifer was amazing nothing was to much for her looking g after most of the restaurant she still made me feel like I was her only customer I work on the industry as a manager and she is a keeper

Wow! What can I say… the staff attitude were RUDE! I’ve never been spoken to like it in my life, the bad attitude from Beth was beyond anything I’d experienced. We came out for a good night & felt like we were walking on egg shells the entire experience. So disappointed.

Wonderful staff and service. Our go to place for breakfast and drinks before our train journey. Highly recommend. Amazing food

Great food again and a very pleasant and efficient general manager who always accommodates us and ensures our experience goes smoothly....this restaurant is becoming a favourite and so handy to hop on the trains after a super supper Thanks again..the food is always consistent

Walked in to this restaurant and waited at the door for 15 minutes but no sign of anyone seating guests. We had to find a member of staff our selves to ask if we was able to sit down. When we eventually found a member of staff we asked if we could sit in a booth which the women said it wasn’t clean, we could see from where we was stood that it was set up ready. She then said you had to be a group of 6 to site at that table. She was quiet rude through all of this if you want poor service come to this restaurant!

We frequented this restaurant today in and amongst a day out shopping. Having visited TGI Fridays on many occasions over the years, we have always deemed it a ‘safe option’ for food, service and atmosphere. Not today! I write this review to say that unfortunately the standards were simply not there on this occasion. A restaurant with zero atmosphere. A restaurant with staff (ones which were there - short staffed) looking like they had just woken up out of bed. Poorly presented. A restaurant where the food was dire, we were very hungry but it was a better option for us to walk away. A restaurant in need of a major shake up. We complained to the manager she agreed that the food was not acceptable and blamed supplier issues. Loaded fries - 1/10 - anything but loaded soggy fries. JD shrimp - 1/10 - zero presentation, no sauce. It is very clear that this restaurant is struggling, struggling with customers, struggling with staff, struggling with standards. We won’t be returning to TGI Fridays - very disappointed. BE WARNED - this restaurant is struggling on all levels, don’t waste your money eating here.

Had a train to catch so staff were extra quick in serving us breakfast. Lovely coffee and bacon butties. Thanks to Chris who was friendly and attentive. He is a credit to your company.

Had a meal here on our way further north and had a lovely meal served hot. This wasn’t what made the experience special though, it was our host Chris who was fantastic- friendly, attentive and gracious!

Popped in here for a swift drink before the train came, just up at the top of the stairs, didn’t even know it was there. 2 halves of Birra Moretti really reasonably priced. Staff was super friendly, loved Jane who gave us some great insights into the unique Manchester related artworks that had been commissioned especially for that branch, total Legend, this will be our pitstop of choice next time we get a train from Piccadilly

Great food. Some healthy options and good drinks. Nice to sit by the window. Mum loved the cider and I would recommend the quesadillas.

Me and my family/friends visited tgis picaddilly station in Manchester, from birmingham and london the afternoon after the night before my 30th birthday celebration. We came for a nice lunch. The 2 young female servers at our table we rude, moody, the one slamming drinks on tables. Didn't even introduce themselves incase we needed their assistance. Just not the type of service you would expect with such a big group (9) After speaking to the manager, Jane, about the service we were receiving she reacted instantly and took the girls off our table and took over the service herself. She was amazing! Constantly checking if we were okay, how our food was, drinks at the ready, could not be more pleased! She really turned our visit around! At the end when paying for the bill we tried to offer a generous tip but she wouldn't take it as she is the manager. Honestly she was unreal and so lovely, joking and bantering with us. Thank you so much Jane!

Went in for breakfast while waiting for my train, I was greeted with a smile and hello by all staff. They're customer service was excellent!! Highly recommend the Fridays breakfast yummy!!😋

We called in today while going through Manchester Piccadilly train station, my sister spotted Friday’s restaurant on the mezzanine. Team welcoming, cocktails amazing and food 10/10, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back in when coming in on the train

We went for a quick lunch as a family of 4...food was ok but a bit cold as if it had been standing for a while. We had burgers and some chicken dishes...can't say we were impressed really. Our server was a lovely gentleman which I did not catch his name...I suppose when you go to a place like TGI you know what to expect so I was disappointed in myself for spending so much money on a meal we hardly enjoyed when the food served was really what i knew it would be. Would not visit again.

Very friendly and inviting staff. Engaged a lot with my 2 year old and included him in christmas activities and drawings. Very nice food.

Went for a family party, very disappointed, dishes came out at different times, than had to wait for fries that were meant to be with main meals, not asked if meal was ok and had to keep asking different servers for drinks and puddings, really spoilt the birthday and food was only ok.

My friends and I chose TGI's as a place to meet and eat after travelling from different parts of the country. I enjoyed my meal so much that I felt I ought to pay the chef a compliment and also the waiter who served us.So a huge thank you to George, Diego and Jane for making our short catch-up, special. XX

Positives = Clean restaurant. Staff trying hard to please. Negatives= lots of drinks not available, food very average (looked nice but tastes premixed and cheap). Staff seemed a bit jaded like they are expecting complaints because they know the quality isn't there.A little more care would elevate this.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast, had 2 American breakfast which were great, tasty and filling. Sam Adam’s wicked lager was a good choice by the manager Dane and Beth the waitress sorted our bill out swiftly. Good quick visit, will be back

Very overrated.Took 50 minutes to receive our drinks after ordering.Food finally came and 4 out of 6 meals were freezing cold.Spoiled the experience and put a downer on the rest of the night for us.

Difficult to resist TGI fridays so we went in for lunch whilst passing. Had a burger with brisket on top and a lemon and garlic chicken with salsa, both with fries. Totally delicious freshly cooked food. The restaurant was very quiet so did lack some atmosphere and we were put in a table a little out of the way but we did enjoy it anyway.

Excellent food and fantastic cocktails.Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Was able to sit at bar while waiting for a table as we had not booked.Christina was our waitress and was so friendly and helpful.Live music was playing and the atmosphere was amazing.

Charged me twice for an order, I tapped my card to pay contactless.. i instantly got the notification on my phone from NatWest to say the transaction went through.. Minutes later the waiter Jennifer returned and said that my payment didn't go through. I showed her my online banking to show that the transaction did go through. She requested me to pay again and said the original payment would bounce back.. I was visiting from hull and said what do I do if both transactions go through? I would then be £32 down! she gave me the store number and said get in contact if this is the case.. 2 days later checked my bank and both transactions had been posted (Gone through) I have been calling every day but there is no answer!! Now having to go through my bank to get my payment back!!!

Dan & Beth provided excellent service and could not have been better. All of my questions were answered before I could ask them (how to order, where toilets are, where to order, etc.). All members of staff were very polite and I never had to wait longer than necessary to order food or a drink. I was not in a rush but if you are, the staff here will ensure your meal is as stress-free as possible. Highly recommend coming here if you have time before your train departs or if you're near the area and fancy a high quality meal. Food was very nice and well priced.

We called in with 2 very hungry children and a Manchester 10K runner and everyone enjoyed everything they had. The kids were entertained and the service was great. And best of all no washing up for mom 😊

Best sesame chicken strips I’ve had at any TGI’s. George was a great server and the managers were just as helpful

I had an hour between trains at the station here and decided to have a quick meal. Was seated and served quickly.The ribs I chose was sticky, sweet and slightly spicy with homemade fries and perfect buttery corn. A good experience in a trendy chain restaurant conveniently situated mid station

Came shopping in Manchester on Friday and stopped at TGI’s for lunch. Staff were really friendly and so helpful. I ordered something that i have had before but was no longer on the menu and the waitress managed to sort this out for me, fabulous service! Had a lovely time and would definitely come again, keep up the good work!

Upon entering the restaurant i noticed it was very empty and looked closed however the staff working were phenominal. Matt was warm and welcoming and found the best seat for us. He reccomended we have the hot wings as they were his favourite and they were delicious.

Chose to eat here before catching a train home from a work trip. Food was brilliant, service was faultless. I'd like to mention Sarah C who was very polite and efficient. Thank you!!

Came in for a meal with friends whilst travelling. Sarah our server gave us the upmost attention and quick service with our orders and meals. would come again.

What a lovely little chain restaurant tucked away upstairs of the station. Dropped by while waiting for a train home but didn’t fancy the usual train station fast food. The place is beautifully decorated with an oversize sofa and several tucked away booths. The manager on duty Jim was helping out from another restaurant and was extremely helpful and friendly. His upbeat manner and approachable style led to a wonderful experience. The ribs were extremely well cooked and fell off the bone and the onion rings recommended by Jim were big, fresh and fill of real onion and not mush. Next time i am in Manchester i will definitely revisit this restaurant.

i was looking for a quick bite to eat in the station inbetween meetings and i stumbled upon this restaurant. i havent been to a Tgi's for years and i was amazed at how it has changed the food was delivered very quickly and the service was great from Hannah, i never had an empty drink. i will return next time im in the station.

Returned to this restaurant again today and was not disappointed. Food is served quickly and as ordered... great value for money. Compliments again to the staff who are friendly and very hard working - special shout out to Charlie who was my server today and as usual gave service with a smile Keep up the good work guys

During my visit to Tgi fridays, I had an amazing time due to my waiter sahah. She was incredibly nice and made my experience at this restaurant pleasant.

My mum and I were very impressed today with the service we received from Stephen who really has great people skills and obviously cares greatly about providing an excellent friendly service. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel so welcome. The food was lovely also and I would recommend a visit to Tgi Fridays piccadilly station.

Aparecí para un bocado rápido mientras esperaba mi tren a casa, no había estado en este antes, pero me sorprendió gratamente. Buena comida, (realmente disfruté la hamburguesa). El personal amable y el menú especial hicieron una elección fácil. Mucho mejor que los lugares habituales de la estación de tren. No es un mal lugar en general.

I visited TGIs early this evening for the first time after being completely ignored in Carluccios (further along the concourse) and walking out. I was met with a warm welcome, handed a menu on my way in and served immediately. My colleague joined me and we both ordered a snack - perfectly reasonable and arrived quickly - and staff continued to be very attentive. When you viit a restaurant at a station you are normally in transit and/or in a hurry and a smile and welcome and fast service is absolutley key. I was pleasantly surprised by both the service and the food and would definitely go back.

Visited Manchester and thought we would go for the safe meal and come to TGI Friday which is a favourite of mine when at home in rotherham.

Visited TGI’s this weekend while away with my parter. I am usually a huge fan of TGI’s but this visit was more than disappointing. Both of us ordered the 8oz Sirloin (medium rare) mine arrived medium-well done and was super fatty. My parter asked to speak to the manager but a waitress named Sarah asked if she could help. My partner explained the situation and asked for either a new steak or a refund. This waitress was disgustingly rude, said that my partner spoke to her in the wrong way. When he most definitely did not and was just offering a suggestion to help us.

I got 2 courses for 12.99 and unlimited coke aswell,food nice and hot,polite staff aswell,would call again

Visited on Valentine’s Day, food was amazing and our server Elizabeth was amazing, very attentive and ensured we had an amazing time there! Will definitely return

The restaurant was empty and we arrived there at 11am. They serve breakfast till 11 but were so kind to still serve us the breakfast. We asked for some changes in our order and everything came as requested and we didn't have to wait long.

Visited one evening with a friend before a night out. Once seated staff were very accommodating with a friends allergy, and the food and drinks were pretty good. Staff were a little inattentive so we had to wait quite a while before we could order drinks or get the bill. But wasn't the end of the world. Would visit again.

Well.... what can I say. Food looked good as it arrived. Dont be fooled by looks. It certainly wasnt nice. Food completely inedible to the point my children wouldn't eat anymore. Mash potatoes dry and over cooked lacked flavour and seasoning. Loaded fries... well definitely not loaded. Service wasn't great either. Didnt entice me to ever want to come back. Tried to raise my issues with a manager who blatantly ignored my comments and started to tell me about company spec. Surely dry mash isn't what head office want you serving.... just asked for my bill as I was getting agitated. However did get a gesture off the bill not what I was asking for I just wanted to raise comments on food. Safe to say wont be back

Seated for nearly 30mins before order taken. Another 40 mins before food came. Then nearly 30mins and I had to go to the bar myself to pay. No one asked if my food was ok if I wanted anything else.

We ordered and were in a hurry. The staff were brilliant, asked if we wanted them to prepare a take away box if we ran out of time and they prepared and brought our bill before we finished, so we could be away quickly. The ribs were good, the boneless hot wings were tasty, as were the sesame chicken strips.

Visited with the wife and 2 kids as we were getting the tram upto Old Trafford from Piccadilly. Service when we first went in was a bit slow to take our drink order but nothung major so we ordered food at same time. 2 kids meals good enough and both adults got the cajun chicken pasta, portion sizes on these were quite small sadly.

We booked a table last minute here on New Years Eve, coupled with a last minute hotel booking round the corner, and we were expecting it to be busy and chaotic but it wasn’t.

Lovely menu, good food great service full marks. We returned from a day out and due to connivence happed to call here. Everything was great and good value.

When we arrived at Picadilly Station in Manchester it was time for lunch. We went to TGI Fridays upstairs at the train station. We both had Alfredo pasta & had room for desserts also. We had Red Velvet cake & S'mores sundae. The food & service was excellent here & would recommend if eating at the Picadilly Station in Manchester.

We were running a few minutes late for our booking and we knew this from early afternoon so tried calling up to let them know, must’ve tried 3 or 4 times and every time never got through.

Nice meal but disappointing service. Ordered the fixed price two course meal but service was slow despite the restaurant not being busy. My schedule meant I had to leave before my desert. When I eventually found someone to pay I was offered no reduction for the desert which was late.

Very disappointed with the service received today at the Manchester Piccadilly restaurant. Food took over 30 mins to arrive. And when it did, it was cold and they had got my order wrong, as told it would take another 15 mins to make what I'd ordered . With a train to catch, I didnt really have time so ate what I could but it was very disappointing. The waitress wasnt very helpful, she didnt seem bothered that the order was wrong. Her response was "oh its Friday, treat yourself" ot doesnt matter what day it is, the fact that you got the order wrong is what's important to me and what are you going to do to resolve an unhappy customer.. what's worse is, she'd said that she put it through as a salad, but when the bill/receipt came, it said pasta, so clearly the waitress got it wrong... didnt manage to catch her name.. shall not be returning again which is a shame.

Absolutely amazing service and food definitely recommend the chicken strips x The young blonde girl is great we did free refills and as soon as we were running low on drink she brought us new ones what a star 💫

Stopped by after work for some wings and fries which really hit the spot. Charlie G was an excellent host and really made my visit even better, she really went above and beyond to make me feel at home💕💕

Its a good option if you want a restaurant in the train station instead of just fast food... prices are a bit high for what you get and the quality and taste of the food were just ok nothing special.

Even though it was busy (we were there at 8.45am) our waitress was welcoming and our breakfast came fairly quickly. The food was excellent and well presented. The bill was very reasonable - must less than some other restaurants in Piccadilly station!

Steak was tough and overcooked. Forgot to get my drink. Forgot to get my wedge salad. Discounted 10 percent by helpful waitress due to missing salad, which was reasonable Would never eat there again personally.

I was highly looking forward to going to this Fridays as it is one of my favourite restaurant chains because of the atmosphere, the food, not to mention the Jack Daniels glaze :) However, we got there, and the restaurant was dead. There were only a couple of tables occupied and it severely lacked in the atmosphere and vibe of the others I have been to. Once someone had finally taken our order, I went round the back of the restaurant to the toilet. The seats and tables round this way were all faded and just looked abandoned. Our food came, and it was perfectly pleasant. Not as nice as other meals I have had, but nice nevertheless. I'm not sure I would recommend this particular Fridays, as it seemed that the type of restaurant it is doesn't suit the location and audience of a train station.

A really nice place to chill eat and drink! The staff are friendly and welcoming! The beer is ice cold and the lady manager is so polite and will bend over backwards for you! Was in Manchester for 3 days and visited everyday highly recommend!

Stay clear. Poor restaurants staff that has to make and serve fabric Food. Would rather go to the shop Next door and by a toast or a yoghurt.

As with every venture into TGI, the food is good quality and cooked as ordered.

Our waitress Sarah C was incredible she was full of life and would do anything to help us she was a great waitress and I would hope to get her again

Great that TGI’s is at Manchester Pic - it helps alleviate the frustration of regular train travel.

Me and my husband, were nice welcomed,it was clean and good atmosphere, our order was taken by a girl with glasses, but when our drinks arrived my rum glass was disgusting dirty with lipstick around ... I asked the same lady with glasses to change my drink with something in a bottle she was clearly pissed off and started chatting with another members of the staff... We missed a fork so I had to go and ask..

We called at 10:30am on Sunday 25 August to make a reservation for 7 people at 12pm. Nobody answered the phone so we had to ring back 10 minutes later.

I'm a regular visitor to this brand and especially to this certain one and the food is faultless service is amazing had one small late but isn't worth mentioning the only downside is I love the pulled pork Sunday. Unfortunly it isn't served anymore and the seasonal veg is not my cup of tea

Avoid. Odd culture in place staff are very very young and person who seems to be in charge there is not up too much. Wine is perhaps bought cheaply who knows but shouldn’t give pins and needles after drinking better to drink water here.

We ate here as a family. Welcome was fine . Child’s pasta was cold and had to be returned, and beans on another order were cold too. Staff not readily available when needed. Not the cheapest of places either. Not sure if I would return.

Thought being in the train station service would be reasonably quick. Had to wait over 25 mins for the mains to be delivered and in the end was so rushed I had to ask to take it away. I did also find the sevice to be quite unfriendly and inefficient. I had to ask multiple times for my bill despite acknowledgements when I asked initially they would bring it. My drink refill also didn't make it's way back after I asked for it to be topped up and again had to ask a someone different if they can bring it over. No one came to my table pro-actively following my initial order and kept having to flag staff down. Chips were quite nice but I didn't really like the chicken burger (chicken seemed to be quite hard and compressed) so only ate a couple of bites of that. All in all not very good and wouldn't return to that one.

The first lady who served us was great and should be given credit- was quick to serve us, was friendly and was making sure our drinks were refilled before we even asked, we would have tipped her if she hasn't unfortunately finished her shift before we'd finished!

We ate here last night due to how close it was to our hotel. We were seated and ordered fairly quickly, ordering meals and drinks for two. It seemed like they had forgotten to bring our drinks as they took around half an hour to forty minutes to arrive to our table. Had we ordered cocktails I might have understood a wait but out drinks were standard drinks. The food arrived around 10 minutes later, from being seated and our food arriving there was almost an hours wait. The food was nice, but nothing special. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are in a hurry however the food was not bad quality. When I tried to pay they had some difficulties getting my bill ready which delayed our evening further but overall I would eat here again if I was close by, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go.

To be honest we stopped here as we couldn't give anything else in the local area in the time we had.

Had a meal here on a Friday lunch before attending a concert nearby both courses were brilliant. Service was brilliant highly recommend coming here.

Last minute choice but staff did everything they could to accommodate a group of 10! Food was yum, both kids and adults enjoyed it. The service was extremely friendly and offered advise on things to see in Manchester!

Eat in here 20th May. Thought the food was better than I ate in Belfast. Ryan W was so friendly that is the best staffs I saw ever.
