One word >>> Disgusting <<< The 3 of us went on the evening of 11/10/24 and we dine in the restaurant. I ordered for starters the Chilli Paneer, OMG, the sheer amount of red food colouring on my plate is enough for me to want to vomit every time I know think about it! The lemon tap water also look like piss with bits in it. My cousin ordered the one with the chickpeas for his starters, he took one bite and didn't take another, because of the amount of salt you had put into this dish was way too much!! I am surprised by the menu that you have "Award winning dishes" who gave you the awards?... Seriously, sort it out and improve your food and drink standards! We shouldn't have even paid, I want a refund!! The food was disgusting. I should have took it as a sign when I saw the restaurant was empty on a Friday night!! DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF, OR WORSE, WANT FOOD POISONING AND UNPLEASANT FOOD DINING MEMORIES!!!

Arrived to find the restaurant empty but we're told to take a seat. We ordered our food and it was delicious and definitely one of the best chicken tikka biryani I have had. The saag paneer was also delicious and the naan bread was really hot and super tasty. Great curry and a great price.

Walked in at 18:30 on a Sunday and was rudely told by the waitress “there’s no tables tonight I’m by myself, takeaway only”. We can’t make you take our money but we can never ever come back. Utterly dismal service.

I visited for the first time this evening as I'm working in the area and really fancied indian food. The lady who greeted me was really nice and made me feel welcome. I was impressed with the service and food, especially requesting adjustments to the food as I'm vegan. Nothing was a problem and the lady reassuring me about making the changes to the dishes I selected. The food was delicious with good position sizes. The prices are also very reasonable. I look forward to visiting again. Thanks guys.

I have been to India many times and regularly go to Drummond street or Wembley Central for a good Indian meal so I was totally disappointed with the takeaway from Teza spice. I saw bhel poori on the menu so ordered it along with an assortment of curries as I love a good bhel poori but what arrived was not a bhel poori but chick peas with red food colouring with three very chewy sad little poories on top, they are supposed to be crunchy, even the channa masala was the same chick peas with red food colouring and no visible vegetables. It all tasted terrible and I would say definitely one to avoid.

The salad was dry like it had been left out and not covered. The starter of some sort of chilli cheese was not edible, infact terrible. I also couldn't eat the main course, as it was a full of oil, and the sauce was odd in texture and the vegetables were limp. My wife's onion bhaji was dry, and her main course was this odd texture too. I rarely leave food, but had to here. Awful experience.

Wow just wow. I can see why it won an award for best in the North West. Very tasty. I've travelled all over the country with work, and tried loads of Indian food, and this is one of the best I've ever had. 😋 Top marks. 👌

Although we moved to Whitehaven in January 2020 we have yet to try out most places such as this hidden gem, unfortunately for me I won't be able to climb up the steps from the main entrance as I am disabled but on this particular visit my carer did climb the steps to collect our evening meal that I ordered over the phone, I asked for my most favourable keema madras and pilau rice and just 1 naan bread. The quality was very good and plenty of it and the naan bread was very tasty but as usual I had to finish the remainder of that meal the next day. I would of certainly booked a table to eat in as it's always a nice change from sitting at home but as I mentioned earlier I am disabled ♿. But I will be ordering food from here again soon to try out the other flavours they have on the menu. My carer did pick up a menu leaflet whilst she was waiting. If you love your curries as much as I do you can't go wrong here! And if you live local then this would be your most favourite place to come and eat. With a varied selection of hot and very mild curries you're sure to find something to your liking I promise you.

New to the area, tried Egremont tandoori a few months ago, weren't impressed, and when I reminded them about the 10% discount for collection, apparently "I caused them a lot of trouble"!? Anyway, tried tezza spice tonight and food was lovely, better than egremont tandoori, and I got the 10% discount without asking or any issues. Definitely going back. My first choice out of the 2 in Egremont.

Great food and friendly staff. Recently been refurbished and looks good. I have not eaten in but only use it for takeaway. Which does not take away from the quality....see what I did there it's a play on words...never mind. It has a selection of beers if you want one with your meal. I had some at home so did not bother. If you collect your own order there is a discount on orders above £20. Best to work out if it's worth doing that for the price of petrol....although petrol does not taste very nice.

Since recently reopening the restaurant post covid the menu has changed for the better, the facility has been renovated and the chef must be of high calibre. The food is some of the best Indian cuisine I have tasted. There's even a decent wine. Prices are very reasonable. Give it a try and ignore any review of the restaurant more than 3 months old!

Under new ownership, who cancelled my order, when I called to ask why I was told, none of our drivers can be arsed to go down your area anymore, and we don't care if it costs us customers. What kind of attitude is that for new owners to take, carry on like that and you will go under pretty quickly

Food was nice enough though the amount of chicken in the korma was disappointing. I ordered one of the chef's specials to try something new. It was tasty, but not at all spicy despite being described as medium/hot on the menu.

Very disappointed. Challenged the price as the price had gone up by £6 in the space of 2 weeks. On arrival we found 2 hairs that can only be described as public hairs. Left a photo on trip advisor but can't on here. Disgusted, will not be using again.

I made an order via Just Eat at around 4.30pm on Saturday 18th September, 2021. It was easy to make my order, pay and then I was given a time of around 6pm for delivery. The food arrived piping hot, in a lovely Teza Spice bag at 5.30pm! Perfect! I ordered a chicken korma, garlic rice, garlic naan and some meat samosas. The meal was delicious, plenty for 2 people. The best I have had since returning to the UK early in 2020. Thank you. I will order again soon.

Had a delivery on Sunday, pappadoms crushed to small pieces but the starters were realy good, Tika Masala was bright pink unflavoured sauce with pieces of chicken put in at the end, no yogurt, no heat. the Passanda was an almond soup with nothing in it besides the same dry pieces of bland chicken, Pilou rice plain boiled unsalted slight tinge of yellow no salt, saffron, cardomon or clove. A lot of money to throw in the bin. I suggest they go to a good Indian restaurant see how its done rather than guesing.

Under new management and......what a shame. Cons - Two chefs specials ordered were the same in appearance and taste although different dishes both medium but were served white two whole large chillis roughly chopped with all seeds in tact in it. My mums korma was insipid and sweet as was the coconut rice as the person cooking had used sweetened desiccated coconut not unsweetened. The mushroom rice also had next to no mushrooms and had so much turmeric In it it has dyed my table. The mixed platter starters were bland as was the Nan Brad and all in all nothing had been seasoned and the Indian spice was non existent just masked by too much chilli. Pros - The sag aloo was nice. It appears who ever was cooking had little to no experience in Indian cooking and just did it the way they like it hot.

With the C19 virus lockdown still in place trying to find a good eatery in the Lake District is a bit limiting. But fortunately we came across this place via Just Eat, and judging by the mostly positive reviews are various sites we thought we'd give it a try. Using their online menu via Just Eat (they do not have their website of their own at time of writing), it was easy to navigate and select the meals we wanted. But being as this was going to be our first time ordering food here we opted to go for some quite mild curries - a korma and chicken tikka masala, with coconut rice and fries. The delivery charge is a bit on the steep side (£4.50) I don't know whether that is a fixed charge regardless of distance, but it is something to bear in mind when ordering. Fortunately given the distance and convenience we didn't really mind the charge, even the total bill came to around £23 for two. The meals arrived on time, and was very well packed in individual foil trays. But we did put the chips and rice in the microwave just for a few seconds. Plenty of tender chicken pieces in both curries, and the sauces were great albeit quite mild. The rice was also perfect without being too sticky or soggy. The fries on the other hand, were hard/brittle in places; and they also turned cold quite quickly despite the microwave. Overall, a rather excellent meal. I think we will order one portion of fries in future given the rather generous amount you recieve. Recommended

I'm not from the area but when I'm visiting, I often make a bee-line for this place as a treat. It's quite pricey and portions aren't huge but the chips are possibly the best I've ever had. Delicious again on a recent visit. Great stuff.
