Tesco Extra Cafe in Swansea

Had the larger breakfast..... we were very hungry. Once again same hapenned as had previously hapenned a number of times...the meals were sitting on the serving hatch waiting for a server to bring them to table. We have previously gone and collected them from the hatch outselves. The result of the delay this time was that they were tepid at best. Eggs still jelly and hashbrowns were VERY brown and nothing on the plate was more than just warm. Coffee was very nice though....thankyou coffee counter.

Went for lunch as a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids under 5 to take advantage of the kids eat free summer offer. Firstly there was a shortage of staff and limits on what was offered and signs at the entrance clearly said this. We ordered 2 adult fish and chips and 2 kids chicken goujons and chips. The kids drinks were included but we had a bottle of water at £1 each. So a family of 4 ate proper, piping hot cooked to order meals of generous portion size and decent taste for £17. OK the service was a little slow getting the food but otherwise while I’m no huge fan of Tesco oven chips there’s nothing wrong with them and the fish itself was huge with golden rich crispy batter as good if not better than any fish and chip shop we’ve been to from the highest Rick Stein, down through Harry Ramsdens to the bog-average chippy on a street corner. Ultimately with this offer on it’s a no-brainer and really decent food. FairPlay to the obviously hard working staff and credit where it’s due.

cashless cafe 😡😡😡 disgusting shame on you walked out will tell all my family snd friends to avoid why would they do this a lot of elderly people used to use this cafe and they will be confused (even if they had a card )

40 minute wait for a cafe order, over priced single slices of avocado on toast, Luke warm fish finger wrap and fries. Plenty of empty tables so not busy. £30 for 3 people to wait 40minutes for poor quality food. Not too good to see the person preparing the food eating at the same time.

Breakfast is OK the eggs are tiny Once I had poached egg on toast like a pimple on an elephants bum Improve eggs and brown the toast. Coffee is great

Good that there are vegan options. Thank you for that. However, the all day vegan breakfast and plant based coffees were luke warm on arrival. As the vegan breakfast had mashed avocado as a component I didn't consider asking for it to be re-heated. I did ask for my coffee to be warmed up as by the time I'd eaten the food it had gone cold. I was told by a polite member of staff that there was no microwave in the cafe. Not great. Also the cafe which is now run on a self-ordering kiosk system is discriminatory to older age groups, those without debit or credit cards, those who prefer to pay by cash, and also discriminatory of those with certain types of mental and physical disabilities. So exclusive rather than inclusive. Is this the image that Tesco wants to promote?

I often visit here with members of my family as we always enjoy. We've never had cause to complain and we have always been happy with everything. There are new self service pods there and these are much better than having to queue.

Lovely friendly staff, but the avocado and tomato on toast was underripe, chopped far too big and covered in bizarre chilli flakes. Ffs you sell nice tomatoes and ripe avocados.

Stopped for a quick refreshment . Ist was a visit to the toilet..2 out of 3 urinals blocked and nearly over flowing. Next ordered food, dirty cups, Took them back got given another 2 cups washed to the same poor standard so we wiped them out to save being a pain. Pity because the quality of food/drinks is good

Visited this cafe this morning....Never again!! There was food all over the floor that a member of staff walked past 3 times!! The attitude of the staff serving was dreadful obviously the customers were just an annoyance to them. Slamming trays down and virtually throwing my change back to me without so much as a thank you..shape up Tesco you're a disgrace!!

Several times arrived way before 6pm always turned away with all equipment turned off only wanted a cuppa, very rude man behind the counter we’ll not both again

Very relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff, had egg and salmon with a cuppa very nice indeed. Now ready for the day. Will definitely be back.

great breakfast even if your on a diet, the poached egg and avocado on toast is great and the full veggie breakfast is good value

Arrived their for lunch today wasn't much room so decided to have coffee instead don't think they know what a mocha us as I ended up with this at the bottom of my cup !! Never eat or have coffee their again

Terrible cafe.Ordered an omelette and it came with a raw mushroom.The omelette was like rubber.Service very slow & it was freezing in there.First & last time.AVOID

This cafe varies in quality, at lunchtime today we had the worst meal we have ever had here. We both ordered jacket potato with cheese and beans, a pretty easy meal to prepare. We were told at the time we ordered that there would be a 20 minute wait, which was fine by us. However, when the potatoes were served they were hard and undercooked. The cheese was almost non-existent and there was no salad cream available. We do like salad cream, so my husband popped into Tesco and bought a bottle. We both left our potatoes as they were inedible. Totally unacceptable.

This is the cafe on the lower floor and is very busy yet there is only one person behind the counter. There is always a long wait to get served and this happens all the time. Why don't they have extra staff. Be prepared for a long wait. Gfed up.

Decided to meet friends here for a quick break. The service was excellent and seating much nicer than anticipated as the chairs were mor like armchairs. Had a snack and coffees which were nicely presented. Not too busy when we called there mid morning but suspect it is very popular and can get very busy. Won’t hesitate to go back again.

Tesco extra cafe in fforestfach is a great little cafe food is always hot and cooked fresh, staff are always keeping tables clean situated at the front of the store by the entrance it's great to get some food

Food was over cooked. The cod I ordered was so dry and over cooked I couldn't cut it with my knife. The service was good, the staff were lovely. But the chefs need training after that. Gross.
