Tesco Cafe in Amber Valley

Usually, rely on Tesco for a standard. Unfortunately, a quick nip into the cafe that wasn't. After paying we had time to find the cleanest dirty table to sit at, admire the next table which was a food explosion, drink our drinks, and for one of us to go round the store to do the shopping before the food order appeared. When it arrived, the food was served with a grunt & was disappointing, to say the least. It takes a rare talent to cook vegetarian sausages to a crunch. But given we'd waited around 35 minutes, it may not be so surprising. Expected cheap & cheerful Honestly, just no! Couldn't recommend it at all.

Shocking breakfast for £8.90 supposed to be the "big breakfast" doesn't come with a drink, doesn't even come with tomatoes or mushrooms. Beans that were lukewarm, cheap fatty bacon. Cheap savers sausages just a total rip off for value for money . With a coffee the total was just under £12 scandelous

Visited with my daughter and her baby and I could not believe how amazing the vegan breakfast was. 🤤 I can’t remember the price but very good value for money. 💴 Staff were pleasant and helpful and the surroundings clean and tidy. 🧼 Would definitely recommend a visit here for the vegan brekky. No chicks 🐣 were harmed in the making. If you wonder what harm could possibly be caused to chicks in the egg industry then check out what happens to male chicks. You don’t have to be vegan to try it… 😉🌱✌️ Peace starts on your plate. ☮️

They don’t do Gluten free bread! So if your have an intolerance they don’t care. Also you can not swop normal bread on a breakfast for another item.

I used to visit a Tesco in my local area, and the service was poor and stocks of food were always low, then a friend of mine told me about the very good Alfreton Tesco. Instead I went down to Alfreton Tesco and ordered a Breakfast at the Tesco cafe. To say this is a cafe in a Tesco it was well worth it and less expensive than a posh cafe elsewhere with bad food. The service was great and staff were very friendly. My breakfast was served fairly quickly and was hot when brought over. I decided to bring some friends over to the Alfreton Tesco. They all agreed that it was brilliant and would come here again. The take out package of the food was very eco friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice and cheap meal. Thanks Tesco. Coming again.

Absolutely wonderful customer service from the lady behind the till. Not just to us but everyone that came to be served. Very attentive when we had a little wait for our food. Definitely a fabulous customer service role model. So sorry didn’t get her name but it was the lady with the blue hair. Thank you x

Arrived to do shopping, noticed the cafe had 50% off all items.Had fish chips mushy peas, ham and cheese panni and two lattes, portions were great. Food cooked to perfection and very clean safe enviroment. Bonus was my receipt as it came to a grand total of £6.59!!

I had a breakfast. The lady who served me was really nice and she offered alternatives - which I had a poached instead of fried egg, and vegetarian sausage instead of black pudding. The bacon was well overcooked that it had nearly disappeared and tasted horrible. The poached egg was really small. The service and atmosphere was excellent and the price ok.

Went for luch and was delighted with the food and choice available - service good and price better than good
