Tesco Cafe in Leicester

Had Jacket spud cheese and beans the spud was hard the cheese wasn't enough to even taste beans were cold not good the drink we ordered wasn't avaliable but we were left waiting for 15 mins untill a replacement was brought over not good especially for the price very disappointed won't be eating there again. The only good thing was the young lady at the till.

Shame really as food good. Just staff keep disappearing on their phone and leaving others to Do the work.

Appalling! Bad stock control, no tables cleared, dirty floors, incorrect food served. An embarrassment to Tesco.

Alway especially on a Saturday service slow Drinks summer ran out. So why still on the menu .cleaning needs to be higher standard.

Disgusting. It’s a Sunday midday which I know is a busy time but some of the tables haven’t been cleared in hours. The chairs are filthy. I literally had to ask for someone to remove the old plates & food from my table. It’s not the first time I’ve been and it’s in the same condition but I thought it might be a one off; obviously not. Whomever is in charge is grossly incompetent and needs to be sacked.

Cafe does not open at time stated on Sundays. Staff unhelpful.

Waited 35 minutes for food 2 poached eggs on toast both rock hard.breakfast bap hard egg and raw mushroom not very good had to buy extra cup of tea through waiting so long .

Had a cheese and ham panini was chewy (not toasted) probably microwaved and no cheese in it. Looked and tasted awful! Should have returned it and got money back but didn’t have the time!

Ordered cheese toastie came with chips. Had to wait 30 minutes for ut. Unfortunately cold and no flavor whatsoever. Consumed as not in a habit of complaining. Soon after eating felt sick for hours and eventually had to vomit. Would never recommend. Still feel sick.

Always good food, great service, and very clean.

Never used the cafe before and won't be using it again. Long queue to be served, only one assistant working taking orders, making drinks and delivering food. Had a coffee and cheese scone eventually. Coffee was lovely but the cheese scone was as hard as rock and so dry, tasted stale. Poor standard all round.

Very slow food sits under light for along time before anyone brings it to you... I waited 35 minutes for toast and it wasn't busy and only one side was toasted other side was just warm bread... Very expensive as it's £1.85 for a can of pop even though they get it from Tescos so rip off food was ok bit warmer then Luke warm...

This is part of a mezzanine floor. There is no ambience. Nevertheless it is well patronised with a good reasonably , even cheap, menu and friendly staff. If visiting the shopping mall I recommend it

Backon egg sausage hasbrown over cooked and cold beans was little warm but the place is tidy and and OK think next time I'll go somewhere else

Clean, airy and tables well spread. Only went in for a coffee, service was polite and speedy. It was 'machine' coffee rather than 'proper' barista coffee but tasted ok. Well frequented.

I arrived as they were clearing up to go home but they were still happy to serve us i think, full marks for that alone. See

Breakfast sent back was cold and the eggs were executed badly and undercooked. After eventually getting the breakfast that I ordered 45 minutes ago, well what can I say!?.... Well with Tesco cafe even needing two attempts to get the breakfast warm that is the only positive thing I can say about it if you can call it that. Really poor quality and to make it worse on there second attempt to simply cook an egg still had runny egg white. Poor quality and executed poorly.

Opening times vary widely, often shut or not serving food. The cafe is so cold you have to keep your coat on. Service is slow.

Served by a very nice lady, however service very very slow. Only one lady to take orders and serve (not her fault). Nobody to clear tables or bring food to tables. To top it all the order was incorrect. Have given this cafe a few chances to get it right. Probably won't be going back.

Went for lunch ordered 2 breakfasts and when it arrived it was cold and it was sent back. When the next ones came it was worse the hash browns were still frozen bacon and beans cold toast pale the only thing that was hot were the sausages. Did get a refund but not a great start to my afternoon

This is my 8yr old granddaughters favorite go to place for a sausage and bacon sandwich. I generally have a coffee. Staff are always very friendly and helpful

Ordered three meals one of them being a kids meal Waited half an hour which they then brought out two meals another 12 minutes later they finally bring out the third meal however no chips told me I have too wait. Miserable atmosphere miserable chef. Btw the chicken wrap was nice but was it worth the 45 minutes

Went for breakfast today ( 1/10/22). Had to wait to order for over 15mins.as only one young gentleman serving,there was four members of staff behind counter. but no one offered to help, I asked a member if they could help and on that he went for his break and a lady took over ,no other help, the queue getting fed up waiting, once served and order taken for coffee and breakfast hardly any tables cleared most had used plates and cups on , When breakfast arrived it was nearly cold and egg rock hard,bacon rolled up like a sausage as so over cooked, Very disappointing as been before and was the same but thought we give it another go as shopping at store and perhaps last time was a one off .Such a shame as staff friendly,Don't think we will bother again ,

Went to Tesco cafe for the first time the other day all I can say is the food was rank cheap nasty sausages egg was like rubber. Food all seems to be cooked in the microwave. Staff were rude. My mum asked for a knife and fork and it was thrown down on the counter. Never again. Was expensive for what it was too

Came in for a breakfast the young girl that served me no smile or anything ask for a milkshake and breakfast told me, £8.50 couldn't believe just a milkshake that came out with no flavour and full of ice bits was 3.50 when you can get a frappe in a coffee shop for that. Took it back a nice pleasant girl made me another one. Then breakfast came no knife and fork no butter so I at to go up to counter a second time even another customer shook their head think I give tesco cafe a miss from now on breakfast was OK like warm but what you expect

Can't believe they stop serving food at half one on Sunday. Only serving drinks, and none of the new iced drinks available as they've apparently run out of ice!

Awful. Everytime I come people are complaining either food hadn't come or wrong food. Waited 45 mins for fish finger sandwich, came with wrong side order. Took it back and didn't get any side order. Not going anymore.

Waited nearly an hour for my food order. I finally got fed up and asked for a refund, I will never use this cafe again and would strongly recommend no one else does.

The staff are not friendly or welcoming. I'm a regular customer here and it's always the same everytime I visit.

Came in on 3rd November around 4pm (was just serving coffee & cake) a lovely lady served us and made my daughter a special milkshake as she was disappointed there was no hot chocolate left my daughter was over the moon! I didn't catch the lady's name i belive it started with a M she had sliver/blond hair. had some bad experiences here in the past but after the service on that day we will definitely be returning

Visited at around 13:45 on Sunday 24/10/21 for a coffee wish I hadn’t absolutely diabolical service I’ve never known such bad manners won’t visit again anytime soon most unfriendly staff and rude.

Visited the cafe at 13:45 24/10/2021 closing time is 4pm, on the website was greeted by we ain’t got no hot food you can only have drinks, by what appeared to be the most miserable and bad mannered assistant, whilst drinking our coffee one of the assistants revered to other customers as nothing but animals due to them leaving a small amount of food mess on the table, they were obviously keen to go home they turned the lights out shortly after whilst we were still drinking our coffee whilst we sat in the cafe an elderly lady made the effort to visit the cafe only to be turned away without her cup of tea this was all before 3pm can you change your website to the correct times and teach the staff some manners and customer services skills

Went in for something quick at 11am, choices were breakfast only, well and cakes. My friend and I both had full breakfast, food was ok, considering Tesco sells food, quality would be better. Staff was friendly and helpful, all wore masks, even though it’s not law requirement, still nice and feel safe they do wear masks. Environment was fine, comfortable chairs, nice wall pictures, quite spacious. However tables were not very clean and believe not enough staff so used plates and mugs on a few tables, we had to move some to get a table and sauces on table that we had to clean it ourselves. I know it’s not a restaurant but hygiene matter in all eating places is important. Free parking includes disabled and parents & children ones, may have time limit, not quite sure.

I nipped in to the Tesco Café as I hadn’t tried a supermarket café in a few years. When I arrived I was served by a lovely polite lady. I ordered a cappuccino ☕️ and fish & chips. The lady informed me there would be a 15-20 minute wait on the fish, I said no problem. She made my cappuccino right away and told me to take a seat and she’d bring my food over when it’s ready. As you can see from picture below the portions are ample and the coffees look amazing too. I’d definitely recommend.

Always like popping up here (Loughborough cafe, Not Leicester) for bite to eat or just nice pot tea. Though you need to let chef know if you need like, bacon done crisper, she will oblige. Well done lovely pleasant staff.

DO NOT GO HERE! Absolutely disgusting service and certainly would not recommend. Staff not wearing face masks whilst cleaning tables around customers and were arguing with each over at the till, shouting and swearing whilst children were present. Have escalated my complaint further as this is not acceptable. Very unprofessional Tesco!

Not impressed?. Ordered 4 meals one was children nugget and chips and half way through my daughter starts spitting to the fact she was served nuggets and scampie together. My other child allergic to shell fish and if it was him eating it hell be bad no sorry just that they'll speak to cook . Coffee was cold and tables were filthy never again

Got to be the worst breakfast I've ever had in a supermarket cafe. Cheap, nasty sausages, egg yolks hard, bacon was a pime of fatty bits (not full rashers), whole thing was almost cold. Very poor indeed.

Went for breakfast. Everything was being served in small plastic plates and paper cups. Service on front was 1 person doing everything. I had to tell them our food was waiting at the pass for nearly 5 mins.

Reasonable choice, popular and reasonably priced.

Only ordered tea and toast , cafe not even busy but i was still kept waiting, the tables and floors where dirty and some of the staff are not very helpful , so why are they working there ? And it's not a one off as it's like that nearly every time I go and I go every week.

Great place have a snax when shopping staff very friendly food good but can get very busy Friday and Saturday so may have to wait for you order

Had breakfast, price very reasonable, had fried bread with it, none of the breakfast was not greasy not even the fried bread, staff were very good.

Very poor show Tesco!!! Que went down quite quickly but the lady who served us needs to attend a customer service course. We then waited 10 minutes for our food. Only my daughter's food came out. 15 minutes later I had to ask for a refund for my food as my daughter had eaten hers and we were ready to leave!! When I asked for my food to be refunded I was given the wrong money and had to ask for it to be corrected. Will never visit this cafe again! Come on Tesco get your act together.

Good place for a snack or drinks before shopping staff very good nice and clean would have griven 5 stars be took for ever for the breakfast I ordered to come out and when it did it was not what I had ordered it was busy at the time but to mix up the order not very good have used before and not add any problems

Where do I begin... Staff/Service Waited 35 minutes for food, asked for drink after 30 mins of waiting for it to be made and left on side. Then had to be asked again 35 minutes after ordering. Staff to busy chatting Hygiene Cutlery not washed Food Basic Should have gone costa.

Tesco's cafe is very well priced the food is of good quality and tasty however you do get what you paid for so don't expect a 5-star gourmet meal here however is good to put your feet up enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake would highly recommend if your shopping here to check out the cafe staff were very friendly and helpful

I go for a coffee, costa is my preferred place but you can't get a decent seat there... so I go tesco. had fish and chips, it was haddock. crunchy batter great fat chips I would eat it again. staff friendly also. not very often staff smile these days... but they did. I can tip for less

ok, 5 stars for tesco cafe. hear me out I went in, fancied fish and chips and that's what I got. batter was crispy, chips were crispy, sauces were good. I had to wait a while, not sure how long but it wasn't important. the staff were nice, smiley and went about doing their job in a productive manner. if there were stars for staff they would get mine.

Not too impressed with the service, asked for a mince pie which was placed on my tray without a plate or napkin, the ham and tomato sandwiches labeled up as ham and cheese. long wait for food and ran out of omelettes.... Frozen ones which were then off the menu as they clearly don't know how to knock one up using fresh eggs. Normally not a bad place to go for pre-shopping coffee, bit of a let down unfortunately

Service Shouting, Shreaking, swearing staff. Chef was confrontational with a pensioner who complained she was waiting 45 minutes for her chips and they were on serving hatch getting cold for over 15 minutes. Just a taste of what we observed Hygiene The place was filthy not one table that was empty had been cleared and only a hand full were occupied, when table was cleared they were not wiping them down. Food, Chips hot. Eggs, bacon, beans, sausages all ice cold and totally undeniable. Refund, Not a chance, told to write to head office and complain absolute Joke
