Tesco Cafe in Inverclyde

I go here twice q week very large cafe food is good but can be priced to much for what you get

Lovely wee cafe with friendly staff, a good choice of food and drinks which are always freshly made. Great opening hours - especially if off night shift!

Thought i bought a Mocha but no, it was cold firstly then tasted rotten. Took it back n got my money, dont know about the food but dont buy the " Mocha"

Waited a long time for our food when all we ordered was a wrap and a toastie. The staff had a bad attitude and the salad we got was wilted and soggy.

Not impressed food of a poor standard and some of the staff don't want to be their and they make it very obvious.

Called in for a light breakfast after weekly shop. COVID-19 regulations observed, tables well placed along with Track and Trace. Ordered rolls and sausage and lattes. Service at counter was friendly enough. Rolls were served within minutes but not so our drinks. It took over 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive - and only after I had to ask for them. An apology for the delay would have been nice. We were more than halfway through our rolls before the drinks arrived. When one staff member was clearing a table a fellow diner noticed a large drinks container had fallen over and the contents had emptied onto the floor. Not wanting the cleaner to slip on this he brought her attention to it. There was no “thank you” or anything like it. The staff gave the impression they’d rather be somewhere else. Management should take note and monitor standards at the cafe. After our experience we will not be back.

Service was appalling .. was having hot chocolate, asked if I wanted cream and mallows, I asked was it extra .. big sigh and looks at board, where it just says with cream and mallows (in my defense, sometimes its still extra!), Noooo. Still trying to be upbeat I say, can I have the mallows on the side then (am veggie), I get a dollop of cream on the plate and the mallows are dropped all over it ! and then thumped on my tray .. gee thanks ! Most of the tables were needing cleared, the place was a mess and the staff are not helpful at all ! Will not be back .. ever!

Visited yesterday for lunch . Table was filthy .ordered eggs Benedict . I wAs half way through it and thought the bread was bit tough . On closer inspection I notice a bit of mould . I took it up to counter and told them to be met by a bland,I'll give u ur money back . Unacceptable! I was feeling sick . When they brought my money back I said the table was dirty and still had dishes on it . They replied they were busy . Two other tables in at the time . I will be alerting environmental health . Certainly wont be back

Great store awful cafe, food was not great at all and the service was terrible never have I experienced such bad customer service in a cafe definitely will NOT be back.

Service slow to busy talking to each other instead of doing there job waited half an hour for breakfast meanwhile people that were coming in after me were getting there's people were sending there breakfasts bk as there's were cold plus wobbly tables arrogant workers got refund bk but that wasn't the point I didn't even get my breakfast complained to customer services and they said they would speak to manager I just hope they did this is the second time I have been didn't order the first time as queue was massive and only had one person working at the time won't be going to this cafe again

fab store and sells everything so helpfull and make you welcome and you always get a big shop no matter what you go in for x

Really good, with very helpful and friendly staff. Central location, with M&S, Costa, B&M and Barrhead Travel Agency all around.

The Tesco chain is a well stocked affordable supermarket chain. The Tesco at Glasgow is very convenient as it gives one a chance to buy a last minute gift without paying too dollar.

Came here for breakfast before shopping, it will be the last time. Scrambled egg on toast and an egg sandwich with a small white coffee and a fresh orange 10.80. Don’t know how the girl got to that price as the scrambled egg on toast is 2.95, coffe 2 and juice 2, which means the egg sandwich must have cost 3.85. How can an egg sandwich be that when the scrambled egg on toast is 2.95. I mean it’s the same products being used with less effort. Not impressed.

Visited Tesco cafe with my family for a spot of lunch. After sitting at the table for nearly 10 minutes waiting for a server to come out of the kitchen I headed to the cash desk to place my order when a waiter and waitress came out of the kitchen and walked right past me out of the door then had to wait another 5 minutes for someone else to come out. While in the middle of placing my order the waitress with a permanent frown on her face proceeded to start making a coffee for someone then come back and complete my order. We didn’t wait too long for our food. I ordered a large breakfast which for £6 wasn’t worth the money, you could drop the eggs off the floor and they would bounce back and the rest wasn’t hot-barley warm. My partner got a baked potato with chilli con carb which comes with minimal side salad. The potato was burned to an extent you couldn’t eat the skin unless you wanted to break your teeth. The filling wasn’t great either, tasted like it was out of a tin or reheated several times. Overall not a very good experience. I think customer service needs a good look into.

Truly auwful! Music to loud. Table not clean. Staff more interested in talking to friends so service was slow. No tea spoons. Stirred my coffee with a dessert spoon. Only went in with a free coffee coupon. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay. Won't be back!

Just been to Tesco cafe ordered two all day breakfast two teas and toast first the tea came then half an hour later the breakfast the bacon was cold the sausages were disgusting and as for the eggs you could have bounced them of the wall the tables were filthy had to clean our own the cutlery was dirty the girl put her finger in my chips to pick out a piece of egg that was in the bowl of chips how disgusting is that best to say we won't be eating in there again awful and it cost £15 I would not recommend this place to anyone

It's an alright café attached to the supermarket, and, when you are tired, it's somewhere to sit down and relax.We had the chicken and cheese panini with BBQ sauce which was good but not great.Always seems to be very busy, but the staff seem a bit lax at clearing the tables and are more interested in taking away your paddle than the detritus. It is reasonable priced for what they serve, but felt much room for improvement here.

Visited last week . Felt that the food was very cheap cafe type. Wasn’t that impressed. The staff were very nice but I thought it was poor value for money. We got cheese toasties which I felt were soggy and not that nice. Sorry just my opinion. Tea was nice and lovely and hot.

Tesco great place to do your shopping. Why not go and have something to eat in their restaurant. Plenty of choice for everyone including the kids. Or just sit and have a tea or coffee. Staff are excellent and sit in a comfy sofa.

I suppose that I may have been lulled into believing that all Tesco Cafes were the same - if you consider here how wrong was I??Arrived and tables were used and dirty - only two were clean and unused so took one of those, The kitchen was able to cater for my THIRD choice as both jackets and omelettes were unavailable. Went for a bowl of soup (chicken) and a fish finger wrap with a portion of chips. One of waiting staff came over after 20 minutes and told us that chicken soup was also off - so chose minestrone!Food arrived and chips were COLD - said this to waiting staff and was told they can't be as they are fresh out of the pan! (Customer is always right!) ended up inviting her to feel - she was carrying another bowl of chips (as if by magic!) and she gave these to me (they were roasting). All in all food was good - but poor experience - when we left of 22 tables all were used and had not been cleaned. Not a good experience really!
