Tesco Cafe in Havering

Great latte and lunch. Some new lady served me , she was so sweet and patient and made me and my friend such tasty coffee with a nice little art on it . Glad shes part of the café,I'll definitely come back to enjoy more of her pretty drinks .

It Was very friendly atmosphere the food was excellent the service was very good so helpful and very happy to help as well

Myself and wife had toasted sandwiches with chips and coffee the coffee was the best bit Wife had sausage and bacon toasted sandwich sausage cooked within a inch of its life rock hard chips over cooked could not eat had to leave over half of it I had toasted cheese and spring onion sandwich was ok chips was well over done and only about ten so not really a portion to be honest when I said to the guy behind counter about how terrible the food was no apology I pass it on definitely won’t be going back also noticed none of the staff worn any type of hair nets or hats in the food areas definitely gone to the dogs since the upgrade to the cafe area and they don’t take cash in the cafe now

Popped in a cuppa and a chat with friends and the staff where happy and help out with our order. It was clean tidy and vry welcoming

There was food, i am honoured to have had the chance to have a late breakfast at this lovely location. I travelled all the way from London. It was perfect. Later I also bought a shoe rack downstairs, such a a good day x

Try to go to the Thurrock cafe in Tesco as they are quicker and the service is better as is the food, I find the staff can be quite rude at rainham, asked the guy for a cloth he informed me he would do it when he could as he was on his own, still waiting 20 minutes later

Toastie was basic. Only cooked in the middle. The coffee was ok but took 25minutes to come! I finished my food and was just sat there waiting for it. I have to mention Linda and the service she gave was great. Was happy with that 👍🏽

Been going to this cafe on weekends for about the last 8 weeks or so. Service and food was good at first but started to see a decline the last few times. On the last visit we ordered 'posh' beans on toast which comes with a poached egg, and a toasted teacake. 2 items that should easily be ready within 10 mins maximum. Everybody else's food was being served so after waiting 30 mins we asked if we'd been forgotten about and was told that it would be ready in 2 mins. About 5 mins later the food was served. We were told the egg machine had overflowed so the floor had to be cleaned hence the delay. Well the egg looked more like a boiled egg! The teacake was served with barely enough butter to cover 1 piece of it. Service and food has really gone downhill so definitely don't recommend going here.

Having visited Rainham cafe a few times, I Strongly advise, Do Not eat here. Food it either underdone or overdone!! (i.e egg and fried bread overcooked and bacon undercooked and fatty)As a Catering Manager, I would have sacked the Chef by now.

Do not waste your money! If you like nicely cooked food you won’t get it here. Ordered the Eggs Shakshuka and a Cappuccino, waited an eternity for breakfast to arrive minus the toast and hard fried eggs, I asked the waitress if I could please have soft yolk eggs and was told it would take 6 minutes, did I want it or not? Anyway after another long wait, guess what? Another 2 hard fried eggs delivered with plenty of attitude. The coffee doesn’t even taste like coffee. Such a shame as the cafe has had a lovely face lift and I thought I would give it a try,?but it’s just like the rest of of Tesco’s Rainham well below par.

I visited here in October 2022. There wasn't a great choice but the food tasted ok and the prices were reasonable.

Today I had the Scrambled egg and bacon Brioche and oh my god... A few months ago I went to Las Vegas and they have this trendy Instagram breakfast restaurant called EGGSLUT and it reminded me of that... Just as good as the $14 Fairfax Sandwich in the US and that from a Tesco cafe... Absolutely crazy... I had this delivered and their packaging was amazing. I can only imagine it being even better fresh fresh... Definitely worth a try.

They didn't have any gluten free options in the breakfast. Which is odd as it's inside a Tesco superstore with lots of GF produce!

Expensive for what it is. Standard quality. Super slow staff and service. Needs more staff. I’d avoid and go elsewhere until things change

I have been here few times now, Sunday afternoon. Both times was quiet and quick service. I’m not an expert on English breakfast, but I enjoyed it. Bacon wasn’t greasy, Sausage cooked well. Very cool mugs. 2 meals + drinks - under £15.

Never get the orders right and food is never very hot. Not very good value for money. Would not recommend!

Best sausages this side of the Mississippi

Quality is too varied to recommend this place. At best the food is Ok. At worst it's cold or overcooked or been sitting around too long. Lazy, careless cooks have always been this café's biggest problem. Charmless presentation and poor lighting do not help. A couple of descent cooks might transform this place. The coffee is OK but I noticed that they have recently dropped their Costa franchise but not their prices. The WiFi is excellent.

Not the greatest, quality nor priced

Food is below standard, order fried egg on toast and a chicken wrap and chips (paid extra for chips) toast came up with eggs on but the butter on the side to butter your own toast, eggs like bullets and cold (figure that) wrap was nice but the chips considering you pay extra were small, old and cold. I would not come back here for a really long time!!!

£23 for 3 cold breakfasts don’t waste your time and money joke outfit

On Tuesday 18th July at 2:15pm, my husband and I were refused the ALL DAY BREAKFAST at £3.99 that we have been ordering since the meal became available some years ago. There is still a a huge poster (measures 2 feet X 3 feet) in the cafe, advertising this meal and it is hanging there today. The staff were extremely rude when we pointed out the meal was still available on the menu and said they were only prepared to supply us with the breakfast that costs £5.99 and comes with chips. The new Manager apparently took this off the menu but failed to remove the poster that says it is available and has made other changes. As diabetics, my husband and I can't eat chips as they are carbohydrates, therefore packed with sugar. My husband asked for the chips not to be included and was told "you still have to pay for them". When the member of staff that bought our drinks came over, both she and the other member of staff on the till gesticulated to my husband and both were smirking. I mentioned this to her telling her it was rude to laugh at customers and my reply was "Well, I think you are being rude to me". Typical deflective response. Please sort this out Tesco as apart from the rudeness, this is a trading Standards matter and depending on the response, we shall be reporting the cafe.
