Tesco Cafe in Hounslow

Visited the Tesco Café in Twickenham and honestly, the experience was really poor from start to finish. We were told jacket potatoes would take ages, so felt pressured to pick something else – only to wait ages anyway for the food to arrive. If we’d known all the food would take that long, we would’ve just waited for what we actually wanted. The atmosphere was uncomfortable too. One of the kitchen staff – a white lady – was publicly telling off a fellow staff member, an Indian lady, loud enough for everyone to hear. It was unprofessional and awkward for customers witnessing it. She also kept saying "ugh i dont have time". Awful for customers to hear this! At the counter, Mikey told me they didn’t have mustard, but thankfully a kind lady (possibly Vietnamese) overheard and brought some over – the one highlight in an otherwise poor experience. Dont understand why he lied about this. On top of that, the café smelt as if something was burning, and the food we eventually got came with burnt bread. Shocking service all around. Won’t be returning.

Runny egg in the muffin. Most educated chefs would have runny eggs on the plate but not in food you pick up. Embarrassed to say that McDonald's is better. Staff seem to whisper to each other and giggle a lot...

The cafe was lovely, but I was disappointed with the service. One of the workers took my plate, which had my chips on it, and went on her break. Since we were sitting near the kitchen, we knew they were our order, so we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for them to make another batch of chips. The food ended up being served together, but the incident felt rude and unprofessional.

I have been to Tesco Cafe a number of times. Overall the food is value for money. Me and my family have tried to veggie sausage, veg and full English breakfast, and their breakfast food I would recommend. I cannot comment on other parts of the menu. Generally they have everything in stock- however twice they have not had oat milk which given they are in a supermarket they should be able to re-stock this. The service is hit and miss….often seems understaffed. Waiting times for food really depends- I ate there a couple of days ago and the food came out really quickly. The staff are generally polite. Tables often need clearing and cleaning which staff will do when asked, but on a general there does not always seem to be enough staff. The cafe is situated to the side at the front of the store, before you enter the shop part of the store and for me that helps the ambience as it does not feel like you are in Tesco. Accessibility wise it is flat, and there are tables and booths available. I will return to Tesco Cafe and recommend it…..as I say value for money so you get what you pay for. During the school holidays they had Kids Eat Free which is really appreciated

Food tastes a bit metallic service a little chaotic but great location and friendly helpful staff. Not amazing value for money but it's all OK

Used to be our favourite breakfast delivery But the fried bread has gone just floppy wet toast. The beans seem to be a different brand The single piece of bacon could have been snapped in half The sausage was nice The 2 hash Browns were so cold ! The egg was just a solid cold lump 😂

Good value for money and big selection for a supermarket cafe. Staff are usually friendly. Sometimes can be a little queue during lunch time, but overall quick service once ordered.

Lovely breakfast and bap, as usual. Perfectly cooked eggs and delicious hash browns.

2nd time in a row food delivered missing items. Otherwise food is good.

I order bacon they sent me sausage

I order english brakefast for delivery , toast are coming wet, and hash browns are burnt and all coming cold , never more ...

We love your breakfast but this time vegan sausages were extremely Hard. Couldn’t eat. Everything else was tasty as always.

Butter sachet was melted into the carrier bag Toast wasn’t toast it was two slices of normal bread The baked beans tasted wrong

Great customer service from the new manager (3 months) and his team. The manager is not afraid of helping his staff taking orders to tables and cleaning the tables when the cafe was busy. We had a full English breakfast with a Latte and water and we could not fault it. Everything was cooked well and tasted great so we left nothing on our plates. The latte was very nice too! The manager also too our feedback from a previous bad experience with a staff member from the kitchen who had an attitude problem over 3 months ago which put us off coming back but we were pleasantly surprised and we will come back and recommend to our friends too!

The whole order was stone cold and therefore inedible. Total waste of money.

Stopped for a cooked breakfast - really fresh and tasty and excellent value - and the staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

Very tasty vegan breakfast. Love it. Just one thing to add- please sauté tomato properly to make it soft, it was bit uncooked. Everything else was just perfect 👍

Perfect English Breakfast. Eggs cooked just right and great sausage and bacon.

Pretty good fish and chips, and I enjoyed the tartar sauce and lemon that came with it! Only suggestion is you need to note the Millionaire Shortbread is GF & Vegan on the order page. It wasn’t a pleasant taste to put it mildly!

Had a sausage bap and tea to take away. Simple, but the sausage bap was gorgeous. Tea was fine. I was the only customer at the time on my first visit there, service was good.

Asked for scrambled egg in written section and was given it, as fried was the only option you could click. Impressed, although perhaps make it an option in future if possible. :-) There was a couple of caramel chocolate bars inside with a card saying “small treat from us” with a cheeky request above to leave a review. I personally find these marketing tricks a bit too obvious, but I still ate them!!

Juts saying to the staff if they dont want to work better don do it . costumer service really bad they do not even what they have at the menu they are really rude . For sure we will dont come back again here.

Nothing is cooked from the raw ingredients it is all just re-heated, and sometimes that is done very poorly and I have sent it back to the kitchen.

Service is extremely slow and not because the two ladies were not working properly but because there were only two ladies doing everything. I actually felt bad for the ladies. Needs more staff

Only one experience but that included slow service and bad coffee. The price wasn’t cheap, so I expected better.

Fast service, friendly staff and more than decent food. Prices are cheap too.

Omelette was beautifully fluffy, plump with a generous cheese and tomato filling. The five stars are mostly attributed to the lovely team atmosphere, they communicate well and have a family like manner towards patrons.

Disgusting. Everything is filthy, tables are sticky. Food is dry and over cooked or stone cold. Avoid.
