Tesco Cafe in East Riding of Yorkshire

Wasn't impressed to be honest over priced and didn't include a drink had to be bought separately wasn't hot when it came out toast seemed very stale should of gone elsewhere only decent thing on my plate was the sausages and the eggs other than that definitely did not rate it I won't be returning

Great menu & friendly staff. Much better than the Costa cafés they have in some of their stores. Difficult to find fault!

I only called in for a drink but it was a pleasant atmosphere which allowed me to have a relaxing few minutes before braving the store for my shopping

Amazing food I go frequently for breakfast food here. The food isn’t greasy which is rare for breakfast items and the service is great , especially shelly

Tesco cafe is clean, the staff are fantastic.. The atmosphere is great and most of the customers are freindly.

Girl called Kelly hebden was the name given . I was really pushed for time and with broken fingers she helped from getting shopping into trolley also helped me pack and put shopping into car. This girl has excellent customer service skills . She really does deserve a special mention . That is a staff member who went above and beyond to help me out . Thankyou Kelly much appreciated

The staff were friendly enough here this morning. I ordered an English breakfast (£5-25)which comes with a slice of toast but no drink, this you order separately. Sausage was poor, the one small slice of bacon was good as was the egg, beans and hash browns average.

I do not recommend bringing autistic individuals to this cafe!! You will be targeted for being different if they don't mask their autistic symptoms to fit in with NTs. The food and staff are great in this cafe. However the same can't be said for the staff elsewhere in the store. My autistic child was verbally attacked by other customers and then verbally attacked by staff. I have since been offered a free meal for my child but unfortunately my child is far too traumatised by that day and I have not visited with my child in the cafe since. I do not feel autistic individuals are really that welcomed by certain staff members. It's a shame I don't feel disabled children are welcome here. He used to enjoy having lunch here regularly while doing some home education. This also used to be one of his safe spaces as he felt comfortable when he felt overwhelmed or was in a shut down or suffering from an autistic meltdown from shopping etc. The cafe was always the go to for instant feel safe calm for him. Now he's frightened by it.

So this cafe has spruced its self up of late for the best. Its clean and welcoming. It has more staff now too and they are lovely and thoughtful and welcoming. The food menu changes regularly ie. Christmas and summer. It's lovely food and it's cooked well. Vegans, Veggies and allergies taken into consideration. There is something for everyone. I love this place its a gem.

Absolutely fantastic breakfasts and lunches over the last couple of weeks. I love everything Jayne and her staff do and they do it very well.

The breakfast used to be lovely , all quality sausages and bacon , and black pudding before , now terrible , sausage are awful , bacon barely cooked and black pudding dry , over priced , only ate the toast and egg , daughter had to take her egg back nearly raw

Fantastic staff! Breakfast was good and so was the coffee.

Ok if you like the basic standards, not over fancy at all. Food is ok but don’t expect great things. Good if you just want a coffee and sit down.

Unbelievable that anyone goes here. The place is a death-trap. Unwashed, smelly and dilapidated. AVOID.

Discusting never been back, had a breakfast. Everything tasted old and dry. 0 bean juice and that is a must

Had burger and chips here the other day, cooked to order, sorry the chips were fine, but burger like old leather, and utterly tasteless:( However most of the staff are OAP’s and work hard, and make sure you’re looked after, and kept the areas clean etc. Very friendly. I didn’t have time to send the burger back, but hey, if you’re stuck for a cuppa and snack, well you could do worse !

Lovely place welcoming and friendly tidy and clean to shop plus friendly atmosphere and staff too nothing to much trouble
