Tesco Cafe in Bolton

Ordered 2 big breakfast's and when they came they were cold, they said they would get us a new one but all they did was microwave it leaving it dry

I had the Brunch Burger with Hash Brown Bites. It looked nice on the photo. When it was served it looked as advertised, I even took a pic. Took one bite and thought it tasted rotten, I decided to remove the sausage and just eat the bacon, egg and cheese. No bacon as shown in the pic, I had to go and ask for it. The hash brown bites were very greasy and left me with heart burn. Before I left I had a close look at the sausage and it didn't look cooked. I told one of the young girls that were serving and her reply was, "I'll let them know". This is the first time I've not really enjoyed food from Tesco cafe.

Best chips & fish anywhere. Better than the best restaurants .

Only been a couple of times and both visits, which were months apart, they were out of eggs and also potatoes. Ironically they’re in a supermarket so no excuse to ever run out of anything. Just poor management. In fairness, the food we did end up getting was decent but shame they aren’t more organised.

Again after 3 time ordering items missing especially when paid extra for them, one lot of beans ( i put extra beans on), toast was dry no butter in with it, egg missing. I only went there again through lack of choice. I have complained to just eat twice before and never got a response…. Just eat is also becoming a joke with lack of cominication to sort things out….. i am one of many many people i know who have had issues with refunds and complaints, and they refuse to use Just eat now.

Great breakfast, speedy helpful delivery and staff

The food arrived cold, the bacon wasnt eatable as was so hard., missing an egg and a sausage a hash brown and no butter for toast. Disgraceful order!!

I ended up paying over £10 for my breakfast. I only have 2 bacon, 2 sausage hash browns and beans with toast and a coffee. Don't like eggs etc but wasn't able to change item's, nicer and cheaper on the high street's.

Ordered the chorizo and avacado asked for my eggs poached the server at the counter said no problems my food cane with fried eggs which I sent back only for it to come back saying that they can't make substitutions on the types of eggs I reluctantly accepted this but by that the me it was lukewarm and missing the chilli flakes very disappointed

No extra bacon that was paid for and was cold and to top it of it was dry toast and hard with no butter !!! Not impressed at all

Payed for extra sausage, didn’t get one, the food wasn’t good, no where near worth the price.

Breakfast butty was dry bread was stale and the panini and croissant were inedible and went straight in the bin

The Tesco Cafe is located on the second floor of Tesco Supermarket. You can view the whole supermarket when you sit next to the windows. The food is just like the other Tesco Cafe, good quality but not expensive.

I ordered 2 ultimate breakfast barm and got 2 bacon and sausage barms were was my egg and ash brown

It didn't help.that the driver got lost and the food arrived cold, but what I ordered was not what I got. I've ordered the same thing several times but this time it was made wrong and tasted terrible. First, the coffee I ordered had full sugar syrup in it instead of the sugar free I asked for. Secondly, the halloumi muffin had way too much sauce on it which was just gross and took over every other flavour, and the muffin wasn't even toasted so it was chewy and nasty. Not the first time I've ordered from here but sadly definitely the last.

Before we went I read the reviews but went in with an open mind. I'll write this a review with honest words, no need for pretentious, patronising and without the need to over use (!) Also no need to question the intellect of Saturday staff in a Mrs Bucket pretentious manner. Oops ....( ! ) On arrival the cafe was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the Brunch at a reasonable price of £6.50, my Daughter chose the sausage, beans and chips with a bottle of water. I was pleasantly surprised that children eat free during Summer. The staff member brought our food to our table and was polite. Saturday staff eh? Poached egg was perfect and the food was hot. This cafe is in a supermarket not the Savoy or a 5 star Bistro. I've gave it 5 stars as the value was fantastic, the tables clean and the staff friendly and polite towards us. We will return. !!!!!!!!!

Missing sauce sachets that I paid for. Missing the child's drink from her meal. Food was freezing cold. Usually really good so disappointed items were missing and food was cold

We called in for breakfast today , my friend ordered a tea , but got the teapot with no lid so hot water spilled over onto the tray . When we asked about the lid he said he had none left , what a grumpy man. We asked for a fried egg and a scrambled egg, when we got our meal we both had scrambled eggs , I knew he wasn’t listening

i ordered a oreo frappe it should’ve came with chocolate and cream drizzled on top and it came watery almost basically just milk and was half filled with a few peices of oreo in it also took 30 minutes for 1 drink to turn up! i am very unhappy with my experience with this order and will not be ordering again

I visit the cafe several times a week and think David is its biggest asset. He is so incredibly efficient, friendly and makes a real effort to give everybody a warm welcome and personal service. The place wouldn’t be half as good without him!

We have called for the breakfast on three occasions. The first was very good The next the hash browns were done to death and returned The final visit was had the same problem He service was prompt an d polite staff. But the food must be edible Come on,get your act together

Nice and quite setting place. Cappucino is a little bit cold. Cheap. It seems clean and peaceful.

My order was never delivered? The app said it was delivered but it never turned up?

I never received my food! It said it has been delivered and after waiting over an hour it never got delivered to me

If I pay an extra £1 pound for a 2 inch sausage I expect it to not be cremated .absolute rubbish they must of been on the hotplate for 4 hours

You get much better value for your money here for quality and volume compared to similar places like greggs

Paid for a orange Tropicana and never received it, annoying when you have paid for something and looking forward to it and for it not to turn up and loose out on money.

They always miss extras off the breakfast. They take the money for it but just don't put your food in.

Did not bring all the order, cannot get in touch with anyone!!!!

Probably worst chicken burger ever sooooo dry was expecting better from tescos

Website says cafe opens at 10am. We turned up at 10.20 am and it was closed, completely closed. Why????? You need to amend your website. Meet up with family who came all the way from Bradford. We did the car boot then planned to have breakfast. Very disappointed.

Food was mediocre and arrived 2 hours late, not worth the wait at all. Would not order again.

Brilliant, back to normal service with fantastic staff.

It's not open at the moment. But overall very good.

Safe are very helpful and caring take time out too say hello how are you today before covid 19 now with 19 they are doing everything they can too keep us safe. Still have a meal with a coffee enjoying the food and friendly chat with regulars

Very clean and fresh. Lots of space for social distancing and always a good brew.

Came in on Wednesday and even though it was half price it was half the service! Food had to be sent back, bread was soggy and one order didn’t come until asked for. Children were rudely told to leave while waiting for us.

Called in cafe today for brunch before doing the weekly shop! Omg....never again! I ordered the freshly made cheese omelettes and a flat white coffee, my partner ordered Eggs Benedict and a latte. I understand that saturday staff are not necessarily of the highest intellectual ability but asking if I wanted the cheese and ham omelettes without the ham left me slightly awestruck! Just a cheese omelette please with beans! We were given our drinks and took a seat!!! (After sifting through the cutlery tray to find 2 sets of knives and forks that weren't contaminated with past meals) 25 minutes later our meals arrived........obvs the chickens were not producing today! Thankfully we had the waitress to watch while we waited......young and inexperienced we could forgive, but full of a cold and obviously not pleased to be there, sniffling away over all the meals (the ones that actually made it out of the kitchen that is) while shuffling round the tables scowling and grunting at customers is pretty disgraceful for a catering establishment. Finally we got our meals, I attempted to split my omelette so I could see the filling inside, half expecting ham, but was unable to do so due to the texture of said omelette. Had we been in possession of a pencil i would have tested its ability to erase marks...it was rubberised egg, no other way to describe it. It was luke warm and barely edible. The beans were at least warmer so I settled for beans with the pathetically measly slice of toast that came with it......the sachet of butter that came with this was now in liquid form (which tbh baffled me as everything was barely warm and unlikely to be capable of melting anything.) So dry toast and beans it was! My partners Eggs Benedict were a sight to behold! 2 halves of cold english breakfast muffins with a slice of cheap ham (the processed circular stuff out of a packet that's never seen a pig!) Topped with what could only be described as hard boiled poached eggs.....again luke warm! We left the cafe feeling cheated out of a decent breakfast alongside numerous other customers who all shared our opinion of the food and service.....overall a totally disappointing experience. Tesco you should be ashamed.

Poached eggs on toast.......really????? I feel sorry for the Tomato sent to entice the plate. Suppose it is Tesco and not to expect too much.

Me and mum brought a cake which we left it because it was hard. and the cutlery needed to be cleaned as it was dirty. stairs were dirty to needs a good clean

Great friendly staff and good quality food

Very good coffee, food average, snacks quite good. Usually very clean, unless it's very busy. One niggle, I love their brown seeded bread toasted but they are always changing it, and I wish they wouldn't serve it with melted butter, it doesn't spread.

This is a 3.8 Star rating. For a supermarket cafe its not too bad. They do nice coffee and serve with plant based milks. No Vegan choices except chips, peas and beans but, the rest of the food is moderate and the children's menu is ok. Sometimes I go shopping with my little daughter age 2 and if shes hungry i call in before shopping. Some of the staff leave you to carry your tray and your child but, one guy thats sometimes serving is great. He always offers to bring your tray over so your not struggling. I dont know his name but i am very grateful.
