Terrace Turkish Kitchen in Islington

My friend and I went with our little ones. We asked if we could see if our toddlers would sit and eat. If so then we would obviously pay the difference between eating in and take away. Three members of staff were adamant that this was not acceptable (and treating as as if we were trying to pull wool over their eyes) therefore we had no other option other than to leave with a take away. We also asked for one skewer of chicken shish (for a toddler) however the staff said that they only do two skewers at a price. Someone please enlighten the staff at this restaurant about the importance of customer service and being flexible. Both my friend and I left feeling very unwelcome here today. Staff here definitely need some training on customer service and meeting the needs of everyone, including those with families and young babies. I won’t and don’t recommend this place with anyone with a young child or toddler.

The food here is amazing! It was honestly the most enjoyable food I'd had in a long while and there was plenty of it. Really friendly, too. The place was very clean, you can see they take pride in what they do. Thank you.

Just a phenomenal Turkish place. Seems a family run place. Regularly had the doner wraps, great value. Mixed kebabs great and Adana is one of best I’ve had. Never had a bad meal both dine in and delivery.

We visited Terrace Turkish Kitchen in October, 2019. It was my first back to London in 15 years and I was craving Turkish doner. A friend suggested this restaurant on Chapel Market instead of getting take-away. We were not disappointed. The lamb doner plate was big enough to share. The meat was good quality - very chunky. The sauces, hummus and spices were amazing. Looking forward to another visit to try some of the kabobs and lamb chops.

Terrace Turkish probably isn't the first place you'd notice when looking for a place to eat around Upper Street. It's tucked away and doesn't look like much from the outside I guess, but we knew of it because we've ordered delicious food on Deliveroo from here before. This place is AMAZING. The value for money is out of this world. Gokyuzu in Manor House charges quite literally 3 times the price of what you can get at Terrace. As with Gem Turkish restaurant down the road. The food quality here is top notch and prices really reasonable. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday afternoon for a post-gym late lunch and had a grilled platter. It came with bread, hummus, salad and two types of rice. So much meat we were stuffed! The staff were really friendly with a great sense of humour and we enjoyed the whole experience. I also think it'd be a good place for a large booking or to hire for a party. I cannot wait to return / order it again on Deliveroo!

I’m a regular here and it’s always exceptional. Daily stews are hearty and delicious and come with two kinds of rice, salad and bread all for £7.90. A bargain! The service is always great and the atmosphere is homely and vibrant. 10/10 would come again.

Usually I order from here on Uber and there are no problems, the food is actually decent. However; I went in today and the service was terrible. I found a hair in my food so they gave me a new one but when I told them at the end that I felt a bit put off eating the whole thing due to finding a hair sitting in a stew there attitude was horrible, no apology and were surprised when we asked at the end for a discount having found a hair in my food I left saying thank you and got no reply just dirty looks. Never going back in there to eat again.

We visited this establishment one Saturday lunchtime. My wife has an intolerance to rapeseed and palm oil so we asked about the food ingredients and oils. We spoke to Ali, who really bent over backwards to find what my wife could and could not eat safely. After a little time and creativity he was able to offer her a meal she could enjoy. Service was excellent, the food good and the atmosphere very pleasant. We had an enjoyable lunch and are most grateful to Ali for his meticulous and caring attitude. What an asset to the restaurant. The eaterie certainly deserved our custom and the generous tip we left them. Well done.

Been to this restaurant with friends. Last time I visited the place was around 3 years ago and it was good. We ordered Lamachun and the mix platter. The pastry of Lamachun was not cooked enough. The grilled mix was not anything exceptional. Toilet was very dirty.

You find everything you used to eat in such restaurant (kebab) but you will have more like vegan moussaka, fresh bread, etc. The service is warm and kind, they offer you for free a mixed salad with bread and sauces.
